A Witcher RP (An Awesome Fantasy World!)

I'd be more than happy to do that!

The races are pretty much the same as any other fantasy world. The major ones are Dwarves, Elves, Humans, and Halflings. Everything but the humans are kinda oppressed in the kingdoms. I will note though, that the only known witchers are humans because of their "adaptability," and Dwarves are not magic-savvy haha

But yeah, i recommend looking into the Witcher series, not for this RP but because its amazing XD

I think it would ruin the fun if I did everything to the tee! I'll give dexcriptions and info on certain things I feel are important, but really it's just a cool fantasy world with people for hire!

"Indeed, naught is more repulsive than these monsters that defy nature and are known by the name of witcher, as they are the offspring of foul sorcery and witchcraft. Unscrupulous scoundrels without conscience and virtue, they are veritable creatures from hell, capable only of taking lives..."

The Witcher series is one of my favorites. Of all time. I read the books (that are currently translated), I played the games, and thought the would would be a perfect place to be in!

For those that don't know,

Witcher backstory 101

The stories are set on the Continent, which was settled several thousand years earlier by elves from overseas. When they arrived, the elves encountered gnomes and dwarves. After a period of war between the elves and dwarves, the dwarves retreated into the mountains and the elves settled in the plains and forests. Human colonists arrived about five hundred years before the events in the stories, igniting a series of wars. The humans were victorious, and became dominant; the non-human races, now considered second-class citizens, often live in small ghettos within human settlements. Those not confined to the ghettos live in wilderness regions not yet claimed by humans. Other races on the Continent are halflings and dryads; werewolves and vampires appeared after a magical event, known as the Conjunction of the Spheres, where many other hideous and dangerous creatures emerged.

During the centuries preceding the stories, most of the Continent's southern regions have been taken over by the Nilfgaard Empire; the north belongs to the fragmented Northern Kingdoms. In order to destroy the dangerous and evil beasts of the land, sorceresses stole human children from their homes and were subject to intense alchemical proccesses, mutations, and incredible physical and magical training. They are transformed into extremely quick, and skilled, and powerful monster hunters known as Witchers.

There'll be detailed descriptions of different things later, but that's besides the point!

I was thinking about having the plot loooooong after the tales of Geralt of Rivia. Civilization has gotten into their equivalent of the Renaissance... The amount of monsters died down, endless amounts of war shaped and molded the land into what it is now. With the new day and age, Witchers and Sorcerers were not needed, and the kingdoms thought them more dangerous than the creatures they were meant to defeat. A purge started, hunting down and killing every known Witcher, and Sorceress.

Years after, only a handful of each survived. Witchers kept doing what they do best, and Sorcerers went into hiding. When a "Second collision" erupted out of nowhere, being led by a dark and evil force. The King of the New Age called upon one of the last Witchers to gather up his kind, train new ones, and gather the sorcerers in order to help defeat these new creatures of darkness. The witcher didn't have much choice, but he starts the long and dangerous journey to stop the forces of evil.

This is the plot, and I think it'd be super fun to play with! Now you wouldn't HAVE to play as Witchers and mages, you can be friends, bards, dwarves, elves, younger people training to be Witchers and Sorcerers/sorceresses, anyone who wants to accompany the Witcher in his struggle! Action, gore, romance, and a badass quest!

Alright kiddos, as we are going towards the mysterious signal, is there anything we want to play around with?

This may or may not (totally may) involve bringing the Dread back into the galaxy, and causing a more "serious" tone for the Committee, but maybe not so for some of the Marauders crew.

My next post will get us out of this awkward transition period, and more into the action! I just wanted to give people time to develop some character development and stuff... and also, we got the psychology session to look forward to XD

"It's the Monroe, Cap is fine, and --" Before he could finish his snarky comment to the younger crew mate, Kaite arrived, as if expecting it. He knew he would be a complication when he attached his eyepatch to the Monroe. He let the two talk, and then came another body, Shyr. The three of them were being polite, and talked with little problem. He knew that the newest recruits would try to assert themselves. But this was Raymond's ship. He would do his best to make that very, very clear if need be. One of his first recruits three years ago tried to take Raymond's quarters. The recruit was twice Ray's size, but after a fight and a lot of injuries, the new recruit was transferred for medical leave in critical condition.

Luckily he had no feeling of that hostility in them... But the way Jin talked and looked around made him uneasy. As if she was looking for the nearest exit... He wasn't going to judge the kid, and besides, Tango wouldn't let anyone get out of the ship that easily. The AI was still Galactic Committee property, and had very strict protocol when it came to many things.

"You'll get to see what the Monroe has to offer, but for now, we gotta get this done.

He lead the three to the meeting room, the large rectangular table meant to hold meetings of any kind. In the center of the table was a hologram projector, which came in handy to show maps and persons of interest. "This'll be quick I promise. Sit back, relax, and wait for the rest of the crew."

Spider-Man: Childhood Friends (Jones Sparrow and EasilyAmused)

"I don't like the odds on that..." Spider-Man responded, looking at Cat Woman, then at Daredevil. "We make a good team! We need to work on a team name later on, maybe some matching colors for our suits, and--"

He was cut off by the loud scream coming from Jameson. "Oh, right. Life in peril, and all that." Spidey said, walking over to the man, and taking the web off his mouth.

"YOU'RE ALL DEAD!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ALL TRIED TO KILL ME!"

"We just saved your life Mister Jameson." Daredevil's voice came in calmly, and with ease. "There was a man who tried to assassinate you. Calls himself Kingpin. Have you heard of that name?"

"Kingpin? Is that another one of you clowns running around, and destroying this city?" J.J. screamed, struggling to get out of the webbing.

"Destroying the city, yes. clowns running around? really? You've written better insults at us in your paper--"

"He's an actual threat, with all due respect. We are wasting time. We need to get you to a safe location before anything else happens--"

Spider-man's senses kicked in, sending a very big alarm throughout his body. "Watch out!" He yelled. shooting a web at J.J. Jameson's chest, and pulled, the chair falling down as bullets erupted from the the windows. "They have a freaking helicopter!" Spider-Man yelled.

Daredevil was also on the ground, cussing silently. "Hey, I can get out of here the quickest, I can take J.J. somewhere safe, the helicopter won't be able to catch me!" Spider-man yelled over the guns.

"More are coming through the stairs. I don't like it, but its the only chance we got. Take him out of here, Catwoman and I will catch up!"Daredevil said. Peter hesitated, but Daredevil screamed "Go!" and he was off.

Peter grabbed Jameson after taking the webbing off, he screamed and kicked and fought as he was complaining about Spider-Man and his office being destroyed. "Alright, big guy. Time out." Spider-man said, shooting a web back at his mouth. He picked him up, put his over his shoulder, and leapt through the window. He dodged the bullets like it was nothing, time seemed to slow down. He made it to the rooftops. he landed on his feet, and started to run. He could hear the chopper right on his tail, but a few maneuvers through the skyscrapers and--

Something hit his leg, and Peter tumbled and fell, dropping Jameson. Peter was dazed, his vision blurry, but when he came to, the chopper was overhead, military men everywhere... Peter tried to stand up, but his leg felt numb. He managed to stand, and he saw something that truly shocked him.

A very, very large man dressed in an expensive white suit. His head was large and bald, his hands looked then times the size of anyone else's, and he gave a small smile at Peter.

"My, My... It takes a while for anyone to recover from this tranquilizer. You really are amazing. I've heard all about you, and you've put a dent on my business. Allow me to introduce myself. I go by Kingpin." the large man said in a suave voice. He could feel the soldiers tense up as two figures had appeared. Daredevil and Lex. They looked alright, but also terrified of the situation.

"Holy cow...You're Kingpin?" Peter managed to say, his leg still feeling weird. "How... On earth are you that big?! It looks like you ate like, twenty men, their village, their food, and then some!" Spider-man yelled. The man clenched his fists. "What?" He asked. "You're huge! Like, Connecticut could just put you over the state so you could block the rain! Hulk couldn't even pick you up--" Spider-man had his fun. A solider hit Peter on the side of his head, making him go down instantly. The tranquilizer made him loopy, and say things he wouldn't really say in such a serious situation.

Soldiers had Jameson, and throwing him into the helicopter. Kingpin smiled and shrugged. "You almost won. Some of my best men weren't enough to stop you three, but that wasn't their goal. It'd be pretty incriminating for three superheroes to come in to an anti-hero newspaper, and kidnap the owner, who also happened to be running for mayor of New York. The city would go into an outrage. People would be against Spider-man, and the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, and the infamous Black Cat. You wouldn't be able to do much. They wouldn't want crazy criminals with powers to be out on the loose."

Spider-Man could only watch. He looked over at Daredevil and Black Cat who were being pointed at by guns. They failed that bad. What was going on through their heads? How did they mess up so badly?

The Comm's system streamed through his ear, starting with a soft beep to let him know he had someone on his line. He stopped in the middle of the glimmering white hall, and raised an eyebrow. "Copy that. On my way now." His voice still a bit hoarse from the encounter from earlier. "Tango, you know anything about this?"

"Jinayah Ifriti. She's escaped high security prisons three times, and on her last breakout attempt she chose to join the Monroe. Earth-born, has high skills in mechanics..."

As Tango was talking Ray was approaching the door, opening the ramp to reveal... a kid?

"She is also just 16 earth years.

The Captain of the Monroe looked at the council member, then the small girl. He had seen much bigger crew mates. But he hadn't seen so much hatred and anger in some of them as much as he sees it in her's. He bet she could make Grown Tu'Veeri step back intimidated... But Ray didn't look away just yet. He stepped up to the two, and was immediately handed a small remote.

"She's got a shock anklet. If she pisses you off or does something you don't like, just press the button and she's out for the count." The committee officer said. Ray looked down at the thing, then at the girl, seeming to glare at Ray and the remote. He put the remote away, and nodded at the Officer, signalling him that he's got it from here.

The two had a small stare-off for a minute. "You always this grumpy?" He asked, his eyebrow raised. "Wasn't expecting another crew member... and I didn't know they sent kids on suicide missions. But we're running late. And we got a job to do. Welcome to the Monroe. We'll fill you in on the way to the briefing room."

I'm sorry! I missed this the first time, but i agree with Akaya, i accept the character, but i recommend making an intro for her super soon so we can get this show on the road XD and also I'm aware that I'm the main reason why you haven't been able to do that, I'm sorry!
