James “Jimmy” Hayes

Jimmy was always the witty and comedic one of the group. Always a little too skinny and short, he would use his humor to get out of being teased in school. Still, he was incredibly loyal to his friends. Jimmy would later inherit his dad’s local bar in Rhodes, coincidentally called “Jimmy’s.” He was the closest to Austin when Raymond drove away, and kept in touch with Ray through social media and texts every now and then. When Austin passed, Jimmy was the one who called Raymond and gave him the news.

Austin was a key member of the group. Often the “voice of reason”, he was always reasonable and less “chaotic” out of the group. Always being the one there to listen and talk with you, it was no surprise that he would eventually become a teacher at Rhodes High school, and eventually the principal. He would eventually get into a fatal car accident, taking his life, and leaving a hole in the friend group forever.

Age: 28

Bio: I was always told I had my head up in the clouds. From the day I was born I had a mischievous twinkle in my eyes, and knew I wanted to do something amazing… I just didn’t know what that thing was. Luckily, I had friends to help with that. It seemed like we knew each other until birth. We were inseparable; racing bikes when we were young to racing cars on the dirt roads when we got a little older, going to Austin’s lake house during the summer to swim or fish or party… But there was someone in the group where it felt like we truly did do everything together. Valarie Johnson and I grew up right next door, and were friends practically since birth. As we grew older, our friendship only grew stronger. We would sneak out at night to go to each other’s houses to talk about literally anything. We’d take late night drives together, study at each other’s houses… While we were all a group, everyone seemed to know that we were incredibly close.

As I got older, I realized that my feelings for her turned to more than just a friendship. I started to notice the way her laugh was like music to me, how she looked at me and rolled her eyes at his bad jokes, the way she smiled… and god, those eyes. I was starting to fall for her hard. By the time we were in high school it was hard to see her talking to other guys, or having relationships with someone else. I tried to see girls too to try and hide my feelings, but they would never work out.

Often times he would watch a guy flirt with her at the lake house, praying that she would turn them down so they could hang out together. Instead of asking her out, I would just be her friend; not because I didn’t want to be with her… I just- if I screwed up, that could ruin our friendship- and I loved what we had now. I didn’t want to make anything weird or awkward between us or the group… But eventually, my feelings got the better of me.

The first day of summer after we graduated high school we had a huge party at Austin’s lake house, before we decided what we wanted to do; where we wanted to go in the world. I always wanted to move out of the town, to see the world, but there was a certain someone that kept me here… Maybe she was my future, the great adventure?

It was late, everyone went to bed, but Val and I decided to go to the dock. It was a clear night. You could see billions of stars out there, and I couldn’t help but notice how good she looked in the moonlight. We started talking, I started teasing her a little bit, and soon enough she pushed me into the water. She couldn’t help but laugh, but as she tried to help me out, I pulled her in… and that’s when I locked eyes with her and kissed her. One thing led to another, and we spent the night together. It was the greatest moment of my life.

The next morning I expected to wake up next to her only to find an empty bed. Austin and Jimmy told me that she left that morning. I felt hurt, awkward, scared, confused… What I thought was a good night ended being disastrous for us-for the group. I drove back to my house, gathered my things, told me parents I was going. Everyone begged me to stay, wanted me to think things through, but the one person that didn’t come to talk me out of it was Val… The only one that could have gotten me to stay. So, that night I left Rhodes, and never looked back.

I drove to Atlanta without a dollar to my name, but through the years I started to get recognition, building up a reputation in the acting world, and soon enough I got an audition in LA, and then the rest was history. I became an instant celebrity, giving it all into my roles, ranging from action to comedies to even a couple dramas… It was a good life, and something I loved doing, but, there was always something that was missing.

I would text my friends and family every now and then, sometimes a couple calls but I could never muster up the courage to call V. I tried to date, tried to travel the world to try and get my mind off of her, but for ten years she haunted me. I could never forget how good she looked in that lake that one night.

Personality: Raymond is loyal to a fault. He’s stubborn, witty, but feels immense guilt for leaving the way he did, and for never really keeping in touch until the death of Austin

"In a small town was a small group of mischievous and loyal friends. The group did practically everything together, specifically two of the members. They were inseparable, sneaking out late to hang out, studying together, or helping one another in more personal and vulnerable moments. As the group literally grew up together, the two closest started to get feelings for one another without ever acting upon it, too afraid to possibly ruin their friendship.

Their senior year they finally give in to the romantic tension, spending a night together before... one of them leaves their small town shortly after, whether they were afraid of taking their relationship to the next level, or messing up was never known to the other...All they do know is that both regret the decision and always wondered what could have been.

Years later a sudden tragic death of one of the group members leaves the town in mourning. Word gets out of the one member that left, and now they have to come back to face their past, and their best friend and lover that they left behind.

The last final request of the passed group member was that the group would come back together for one last weekend, to catch up and bond again at their old hangout spot: his family's old lake house. Will the group accept the last request? Will the group forgive the one that left? Or will the tension be too high and cause another fallout?"

I’ve had a lot of plots and ideas stuck in my head for years now, and love to write little short stories and concepts that may not necessarily fit into an RP or the story that we’re going with… So, with tht said, I thought I’d make a place where I can write and share my stories with people!

I’ll usually take a quote or theme or setting in some random world that I made and kinda just go with it to tell a story! If you like these, I’m glad I could make a connection with you :) and if not, I’m sorry I guess? Haha

Icarus

The single flame from the old flint lighter illuminated the face of a young man in a pale orange light. Light brown stubble danced around his upper lip and sunken cheeks as he puffed in to take a hit from the cigarette. His nose looked like it had been broken and fixed too many times to count. The subtle glint from his metallic finger on the lighter soon faded as the flame did, and the puff of white smoke silently moved towards the moonlight, out into the chaotic and loud world below.

Music played softly in the background on a broken down and barely working stereo, but it didn’t stop the soft lulls of a female voice humming along.

“Lincoln.” The voice was like honey and dream-like.

“Hmm.” The rougher voice responded.

“Tell me again about Icarus.” The sweet voice said. The rougher one laughed. “Darling, I’ve told you the story so many times. How aren’t you tired of it?”

“Just speak to me.” Lincoln could feel the fingertips of the woman on his shoulder blades, taking away the numbness he felt from the tobacco. He rose from the bed, walking into the moonlight. He wore nothing except a pair of dog tags; the holographic surface giving off a very subtle light. Lincoln ran a metallic arm through his dirty blonde hair, and made his way towards the balcony. “In Ancient Greece there was a brilliant inventor named Daedalus. He created the Labyrinth, to lock away the Minotaur—“

“Half man and half beast… kinda like you.” The voice giggled from the shadows. “Hey, you make me feel more like a man… anyway, King Minos had the man and his family locked away in the Labyrinth for helping someone through. In an attempt to escape, Daedalus created wings made of feathers and wax, and gave it to his son, Icarus, so that they could escape. He warned Icarus that he mustn’t fly to high, for the sun would melt the wax, and if he flew too low, the salt water would ruin the lift of the wings.” The man looked over to the bed to barely make out a leg spread on the mattress. “The two took flight, and Icarus was enamored with the feeling. He was—“

“Intoxicated. You always used that word.”

“Yes. Intoxicated with the feeling… but he didn’t heed his father’s warnings. He flew up into the sky without a care in the world… and one by one, his feathers started to fall off because of the melting wax and then—“ The man motioned a nose dive with his hand, and a splash with the other before taking a puff of his cigarette. “Daedalus took his body and wept for him on the closest island, where they named the ocean and island after him—“

“you always ruin the best part.” She chimed in melodically. “Not this again.”

“‘Here’s what they don’t tell you’” She began, to which the man looked away. “Lincoln, come on! You always said it better than me.”

“I want to hear you say it this time.”

“‘Icarus laughed as he fell. Threw his head back and yelled into the winds, arms spread wide, teeth bared to the world.’” From the shadows and into the moonlight came a woman fully exposed, curled golden locks as yellow as the sun running down her shoulders. She threw her head back and with arms wide, laughed as hard as she could before looking back up with him with glacier blue eyes. Slightly yellowed teeth bit the bottom her her chapped pink lips before she continued.

“‘The wax scorched his skin,ran blazing trails down his back,his thighs, his ankles, his feet.Feathers floated like prayers past his fingers, close enough to snatch back. Death breathed burning kisses against his shoulders, where the wings joined the harness.
The sun painted everything in shades of gold.’” Lincoln rolled his eyes and chuckled. “What? What’s so funny?” She asked. Lincoln shook his head and looked down. “Nothing… I just don’t understand why you like that poem so much.”

“It’s the first one you ever told me, remember?” Her voice became lower, and Lincoln looked at his metallic arm. “How could I forget?” He muttered, but he shook his head. “The first time you walked in to that store, you didn’t have a rhyme or reason to be in there.”

“I asked you if you were a writer.” She answered

“I was, I could only think in poems when I saw you.” He said.

“You loved that poem. You loved that story.” She smiled at him.

“Maybe I just loved you?”

“Hmm, cute… but your heart was always meant for soaring, My Icarus.” He dared to look up in the bed, but moved his eyes towards the window, taking another shaky drag from his cigarette. “That was before. Before this.” He raised his arm, showing the metal in the moonlight before looking away at the neon signs and flying vehicles moving by. “I flew too close to the water. Couldn’t bear the weight of them.” He whispered.

“Come here, Silly. This bed is awfully cold without you.” Velvety tones drew his attention back to her. How could he say now. As he turned, he heard a giggle from the darkness. “What?” He asked with a chuckle of his own. “You are my warmth; the sun that graces my skin.” She purred sleepily. “I thought I was Icarus?” He teased slightly. “We both are… I want to fly towards you, to laugh and feel the wind lift me towards you.” Lincoln knelt at the bed, reaching out to touch her cheek with his good hand. “I’m afraid that if you fly too close… you’ll feel the burning of wax, and the loss of your feathers. I don’t think I can do that to you, Elle.”

“You’re not a bad man, Lincoln. You got broken in that war, but I fell in love with you before this all, and I sure as hell will love you through anything—“

“Even if it sends you falling to the ocean?”

“The only place I’m falling.” She yawned as she pulled him into bed, and wrapping herself around him. “Is in your arms. Goodnight, Lincoln.”

The visions faded away. The moonlit hotel room started to change form into that of a destroyed and disgusting one. Debris, bullet casings, and alcohol filled the floors; the walls and windows shattered to give glimpse of a darker world… As the machine that replayed that memory throughout the room started to break down for the last time, the glitched and broken hums of the woman played one last time in a heartbreakingly sober way, filling the destroyed, war-ridden hotel with happiness for just a minute longer.

A Marvel/Spider-Man twist?? (M looking for F 18+)

Hello there! I'm Jones! I've been on the site for a little while now, and have been bombarded with real life stuff, but I think I got the time to add another RP in here :)

I'm a mostly advanced writer, but am a very strong believer in quality over quantity, I love an array of themes and genres of RP'ing, but I'm always a sucker for romance XD And Marvel! With that said, I had an idea for a fun little "what if" scenario in the Marvel world!

In short, it would be in a world where Peter Parker (AKA Spiderm-Man) would have been crime fighting for years now. He's an adult, married MJ, and had a son with her. Everything was looking great for the new Parker Family until one tragic fight with the Green Goblin ends with a fiery explosion and Spider-Man's death. While the world mourned Spider-Man, Mary Jane was left alone to raise a child. While he was too young to remember that day, Peter's son started to show great strength and powers very similar to his father.

As the years went on, his mother forbade him to use his powers for crime fighting, afraid that he would share the same fate as Peter... but that didn't stop him from testing what he can do, watching videos of his father, and feeling guilty for not being able to help the now crime filled New York. He kept a promise to his mother that he wouldn't do anything, but when he got accepted to NYU with a full ride scholarship, he was now an adult and on his own in the heart of Manhattan. When an old foe of Spidey's appears, the Son of Peter Parker would rise to the call, seeing if he can uphold his father's legacy while trying to keep his normal life from spiraling out of control.

That's the plot I have so far! What I'm looking for is a female role in this RP, and that's where we start to brainstorm :) Your character can be a childhood friend, a school project partner-turned friend, a rival of theirs, the daughter of a famous hero, etc. It's all up to you, and we can work around a better plot and backstory for our characters! Like I said earlier, I'm a sucker for romance, and while it may not be the main theme of the RP, I was thinking that the two fall for one another (if they hadn't already) and have to deal with the whole "With great power comes great responsibility" aspect of the Marvel world!

A Slice of Life RP (M looking for F 18+)

Hello again! It's been a very long time, but I think I have enough free time to try and organize another RP :)

For those that don't know me: Hello, I'm Jones! I've been a member of this site for a very long time, but I've been on and off this site for the past couple years now due to my career and the pandemic (being a US school teacher has been incredibly stressful and great :') ) I like to think I'm a casual/advanced writer, and if you would like to know more about me, visit my profile or shoot me a PM, I love meeting new people :D

As for the RP, I've had this idea for a very long time. I'm looking for a female role that is okay with mature 18+ themes and topics, and here's the plot I had:

This is the bare plot I had in mind, but we can definitely move things around! I'd love to brainstorm specific details of our characters, like specific memories or moments in their childhood, maybe nicknames they gave one another, how they acted around one another vs how they reacted towards the rest of the group, who left and why, etc.

Back with Ideas (Mostly looking for Female Roles and 18+)

Hey there! I'm Jones, and I'm back with a couple of ideas that have been swirling in my head! I've been on and off this site for the past year now (I'm a teacher in the US, so the pandemic has my schedule all mixed up) and I'm looking to just shoot some of my ideas out there and see if they catch any interest :) Most of these will be in the universe of certain famous fandoms, and a disclaimer: I'm a huge sucker for romance XD I'm mostly looking for female roles that don't mind Mature, 18+ stuff!

The Dark Arts Destroyers (Harry Potter RP): Set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter, this RP will deal with two individuals that work for a very small and discreet part of the Ministry of Magic. The Dark Arts Destroyers are tasked with helping people- both wizards and muggles- who are in possession of artifacts that contain high levels of dark magic. From "possessed" dolls, to ancient cursed rings, to even monstrous beasts hiding in plain sight, the D.A.D. will take care of it all... but it isn't for everyone. When the leader of the Dark Arts Destroyers passes away, a young but experienced wizard loses a friend, and mentor. Leaving only himself in the Department, the Ministry hires a rookie Auror to join the ranks. With just the two of them, they must continue to help the people from Dark Magic, as well as find the person- or thing- responsible for killing the man's mentor.

This role doesn't have to be a romantic RP, but like I said before I'm a sucker for romance, so I'm looking for a Female character if you're interested in that, or if you just want a creepy and dark adventure in the HP world, let me know :)

Space Pirates! : Kinda like a Treasure Planet/ Mass Effect/ One Piece type feel. With a mix of sci-fi and the 1700's pirate aesthetic! An infamous Pirate Bounty Hunter comes across a dying old pirate, a map, and one last request: to find his granddaughter and give her the mysterious map within the chip. In return, he promised the bounty hunter riches that he could only dream of. Curious, the man tracks down the granddaughter to reveal that she is one of the newest generations of pirates reeking havoc across the galaxy, and not only does the chip contain a map, but it also contains her destiny: To find the planet of treasure and unite the dystopian, lawless galaxy.

Looking for a female role in this one too!

The Protectors: In the dense forests of the Rocky Mountains, a small town in Colorado has a dark secret. There have been rumors that the small town of Rhodes is home to fairy tale creatures... namely vampires. Tales and stories turned the town into a spooky destination for hikers and tourists, and while they believe it is all made up; it is very much real. For centuries the town has been protected by a secret society known as the Protectors, and their main job is to make sure the townspeople live life normally, and never face the terrifying reality. For years the sheriff of the town is also in charge of the Protectors. He has been one of the few humans to make peace with vampires, werewolves, and other creatures of the night... but tensions has risen. As he gets older, some younger protectors doubt his judgement, and it will only be a matter of time before the town is attacked. When a strange and mysterious woman is found dead near the entrance to the town, it is up to the Sheriff and his crew to find out who did it, and why.

I'm looking for this to be a romance RP as well, but it doesn't have to be! Also this role is a lot more free to what your character can be. A new Protector, a vampire that is allied with the Sheriff, etc.

These are my ideas for now, but these can all be changed and adapted to make this a story for US! It'll be our story and adventure! :)

The Marauders (2018)

Happy belated new year everyone, once again my life took a deep dive into work and depression as a high school teacher during a pandemic, and now I got my shit together once more! hopefully this year is better has me not spending literal sleepless nights trying to work on lesson plans and grading late online school work *single tear falls down face*
