I think people may be a little confused about the Duel Tower's architecture.

It's a circular skyscraper without hallways for the most part. There's a door connecting to a hub are which has elevators and a stairwell, that's it. Most rooms are one-piece. So there's no way to ignore it, since he came through practically the ONLY door there is. There is no 'other' section. It's one piece. The only ones that have hallways are the underground floors since they're not limited to the same restrictions, they have more space to build. The arenas have hallways built INTO the audience seats so you could get to the arenas, and every seat in the building is built amongst the wall and up into a sky. (Think GX Duel Academy audience seats and class seats)

If you guys want me to, I'll update the description of the tower to be a little more specific on that point.

Onto the other thing.

I mentioned that you should read every post because if you did, you don't need mentions. Missing someone can be resolved with a quick edit in 90% of the cases. If you think it's polite, great! I'm not against it if you DO it, I just don't want to do it myself. I still would like to request you read every post, though, since they're all important to making this story one whole. Also my reply was heated because, well... I converse like that IRL too. Makes me come off angrier than I actually am sometimes, whoops. Sorry if you got that impression.

In regards to the event, well... Not really much I'm able to do about it now. I'm not going to force you to participate in it, but a mention it at least happened near you would be nice.

Sorry, your response seemed rather heated and I don't want to push you if you were upset.

Anyway, I found the post you mentioned and I can argue that it is rather vague. I can imagine there being a lot of tables around the school and Earth Dorm members at several of them. So, the table that the Dark Dorm guy is at could be nearby or it could be in another section of the building. So I can justify their lack of response by saying that it didn't happen near them on that account. Then again, you can argue that I never specified that Amelia didn't sit close to the shop. But that this point, Vance and I have already ignored it, so responding might be a bit... awkward. Until something else happens that might draw their attention.

Though, that might break your immersion since I always add mentions. To me, that is the polite thing to do, since it lets others know you replied, and helps them out if they have to be away for an extended period of time for whatever reason, especially if they don't get rid of the notification.

But, we all have our own opinions in the end so do what you think is best.

Then I suggest you start reading my posts, since I had an older Dark Dorm student kick open the door, shove someone to the ground, tell everyone to shut up and then proceeded to tell a few Earth dorm students to scram so he could sit at a table. Something that isn't directly related to Amelia, but pretty hard to ignore.

Also, I'm sorry, but telling someone they have to mention you in order for you to pay attention is pretty disrespectful. Some people like to try and make this entire thing read somewhat smoothly, and dropping in a mention breaks the immersion (in my opinion, anyway). There's valid reason not to do so. I'm also of the opinion you should read every post, no matter how tedious that might be. A detail that shows up in there could be crucial later or contain some sort of important character development and you wouldn't know because 'They didn't mention me.'

I get it may be hard to keep track of it and all, but at least a minimal amount of respect towards other people would be appreciated.

@Joshua Tamashii@vancexentan While I appreciate character development, this conversation between Ben and Amelia is a bit on the thread-hogging side.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to tell you to not have a conversation between two characters. But when you do converse, and intend to do so for an extended period of time, please make it a collab. It's a tad jarring to see you guys just talk as if time stood still for those two whilst other events are happening, especially when one of those is in the same room those two are in. Also, while I'm lenient on this, please try not to post a reply so quickly after the other's post @vancexentan. It just adds to the thread hogging, considering the fact a big chunk of this and last page is the interaction between Ben and Amelia.

Again, I'm not trying to dismiss character development. I think it's needed. But please try to wrap it up or take it over to a collab post, it's much easier for me and probably for the rest if I could include them a little better.

Sorry. I don't think we expected the conversation to go on like this. But other then the two gossiping near them, which Amelia didn't notice and Ben ignored, what else is happening near them, cause I haven't been paying attention to other peoples post. If they want my attention, they need to mention me so I begin looking out for what they're posting in regards to my characters.

Joshua raised an eyebrow at Cecilia as she called him 'mother hen' but said nothing about it as he folded his arms and watched the fight, content to get a bit of a show. He had no intention of interfering but he watched Hunter carefully. If the dragon-slayer was going to put Amaya in any sort of actual danger, he would step in without a second thought and take control of the fight. Even if it was a member of a friendly guild, that would mean nothing.

Jackie didn't look too comforted by this but she nodded. She knew she had to help this girl but she had to wonder if things would work out. She hated the thought of trying something without knowing the odds of success but Jack was teaching her to be human again. And humans didn't always act on the odds.
"I'll go find a replacement pair. Can you look after her for me until then... please?" She asked.

Amelia smiled as Sam snuggled against her, wrapping a wing around her little sister, placing one of the crystals close to Sam's face. The crystal was filled with small lights that moved around at random. If Sam touched the crystal, the lights would move away before moving forward, as if curious, causing the crystal to glow.

Looking over to her father, Amelia tilted her head in confusion.
"You mean like... a vacation?" She asked.

Joshua said before looking over at the commotion before turning back to Michelle as she quickly excused herself and left. Raising an eyebrow, Joshua briefly wondered if he had done something to make her dislike him. Maybe he should watch his words a bit more carefully. After all, she seemed like a cool person and a reliable partner if he needed to be in another tag duel.

Looking back at the commotion, he leaned again the counter, watching Leander and the kid from a dorm he didn't recognize, wondering how things were about to go down.

Ben's words made Amelia more worried. Pulling out her deck, she looked at the top card, which was Kamui, Hope of Gusto.
"What... do I want with my life?" She mumbled to herself. She seemed to forget about Ben entirely as she mulled the question over, as it was one she had never really considered before. Her life had been pretty much laid out for her from the moment she was born, from her schooling to her career when she was old enough to have a job. It was only after a great amount of effort that she was able to change the path a bit, but the destination at the end was still the same. But she had to wonder if that was the destination she really wanted to go do. "Mr. Ben... what would you do if everyone was telling you how to live your life?"

Power: Requip: the Swordsman- A magic that allows Joshua to store and summon various swords in a pocket dimension. Most of these swords are magical in nature, giving him a large degree of flexibility. On top of that, Joshua is an expert swordsman and in peak physical condition, with a large emphasis on speed.

Bio: Born in the far North, Joshua was on of the few individuals in that area who learned how to use magic, after accidently using Requip to summons a sword to his side in the middle of a fight with a village rival. Entranced with the power, he honed it without any sense of caution until an event he refuses to speak about forced him to leave the village. From there, he traveled through the frozen wastes, barely managing to survive into the lands in the Far East, where he had heard many a skilled swordsman had trained from traders who occasionally had traveled to his hometown.

On in the Far East, Joshua sought out, and found, a master to train him in the sword, as well as teach him the self control he lacked. He would spend over a decade dedicated to his training, from sunrise to sunset, until his master felt there was nothing more to teach him. Leaving his home once again, he traveled to Fiore to seek out other mages and learn from them, be it through conversation or combat.

Amelia Averyonna

Name: Amelia Averyonna
Age: 16
Power: Necro Spirit: A form of magic that allows Amelia to form contracts with the dead or spirits of death to aid her in battle. Spirits are stored in the stone choker around her neck. This is a rare magic as one needs to be able to see and communicate with the dead in order to make the contracts needed to summon the spirits. Amelia has several powerful spirits under her command, some of which are capable of tremendous destruction.

Bio: Born to a poor family and abandoned at the age of four, most of Amelia's life can be described in one word: survival. Once on the streets, she fought weather, hunger, thirst, and even her fellow humans to get by everyday. Though the life was tough, she managed to make it through sheer will if nothing else. When she was finally picked up, with was by a Dark Guild, who kidnapped orphans and streets rats like herself to use in experiments to create Etherios, in the hopes of creating a small army to take over the country.

Amelia was one of the more successful experiments and gained increased magical abilities as a result. When she was eleven years old, several guilds and independent mages raided the compound and rescued Amelia and the surviving children. After the rescue, Amelia began living with one of the mages that had aided in the rescue. While she enjoyed the peaceful life that came after it, that life was shattered when one of the other members of the experiments attacked and destroyed the village she was living in, all to simply find her. Amelia has been living on the run since, living off the land and fending off her attacker and their allies.

Vladimir Sakorov

Name: Vladimir 'Vlad' Sakorov
Age: 26

Power: Vlad is an incredibly powerful mage capable of using Darkness, Shadow, Blood, and Bone magic. Though these magiks, he has full control over his injuries and recovery rate, as well as high offensive and defensive abilities. He also possesses a pair of wings that grant him the ability of flight.

Bio: Born to a family of dark mages, Vlad was the number one subject of the same experiments that Amelia was a part of. Anything that worked on the other children was also used on him to make him the perfect weapon. When the project was ended prematurely, Vlad was one of the only two subjects to have something to make them stand out, namely a pair of wings.

Years after the premature end of the project, Vlad gained national notoriety for the destruction of a whole village, a act he did to try and find Amelia Averyonna, who escaped the destruction. From there, he moved from one village to the next, seeking over other members of the projects and killing them without remorse, often with a large amount of collateral damage. Gaining some fans and followers along the way, Vlad has made himself one of the most wanted and dangerous men in Fiore.
