Backstory:
Desmond Krate was born and raised by his mother alone in Brighton, UK. Desmonds father left before he was born. Their life had some hardships at first, but they made the most of it, and eventually it became stable and comfortable.

Desmonds life was no less ordinary than any others, until one day he found himself helping his mother put together some new kitchen furniture. The two took a moments break to decide how to go about putting things together, then they realised that the bits and pieces that were laid about were slowly but surely being put together right before their eyes. It was like the objects had minds of their own as they did so, but Desmond caught sight of a being behind him that was manipulating these objects. Over time, his mother eventually revealed what she knew.
She informed him that his uncle, Arther Krate, had a similar ability of his own, and so did several members of the Krate family in the years past, called Stands. She herself did not have one, but what she knew was enough to know that such power can be trouble.

Later on in life, he managed to train his Stand and understand how to best utilize it. It inspired him to take up engineering, and with some reasonable success he aquired his qualification. A few years later, he decided to change his surroundings, and following his uncles idea, he moved to America.

He quickly found himself doing well, and started working in garage. Life seemed good, his stand did much of the work on days he wasn't feeling up to it. And so far, the US was as good a place to live in as they frequently boasted it to be.

Stand: Steam-Powered

Effect and Use:
-"Steam-Powered" has the ability to dismantle and repair objects, and even living organisms to an extent. If "Steam-Powered" dismantles an organism, the creature will not feel pain, and it can usually be put back together without issue.
The stand can also make temporary replacements for damaged body parts, like an arm or leg using various materials. The transition also does not hurt, and the part acts as though it is actually originally a piece of that persons body. For example, if that part takes damage, the user will feel the pain.

At the start of the story I would like him to perhaps be visiting family back in England or something. Just the way I would like to start it, I would prefer all the characters to be outside of the US. Even if they currently reside there.

Isla is fiercely competitive having come from the world of snow sports into Pokemon training. While she takes a very light hearted demeanor to most things, this quickly changed when challenged.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born and raised in Circhester, Isla was a snowboarding prodigy. Her early life was junior championship after junior championship. This carried on into her early adulthood when she represented Galar in the International Wintersports, she took home the gold for her snowboarding.

Everything was looking good until she suffered a nasty injury while on the mountain. No one was really around her and the situation looked pretty dire. This was until a wandering Snover saw her and helped her down the mountain. It was a good few months in the hospital with the state her leg was in. The Snover didn't really leave, instead choosing to stay around and keep her company. The Snover let itself be caught once Isla was discharged and she gained her first Pokemon.

Isla's leg never healed quite right after the accident and although she still goes up the mountains regularly for fun, her competition days are well behind her. But she found herself a new competition, Pokemon training. It didn't take long before she took a gym leaders position and if people don't look out, she will be champion in no time.

Although she is relatively new to Pokemon training she has already claimed a spot as a minor gym leader under Hestia.

Hestia: "We went to school together you know. We hung out in different circles but she really helped me out when I came to her wanting to be a trainer. I tried to take her up the mountain once, I don't think she likes the snow that much. Either way she is really nice and good to be around. I'm not going to enjoy beating her to become champ, but she is the first hurdle in that plan."

Ezran: "I haven't listened too much of his music, sorry. I don't know, its just not up my alley.

Joseph: "Galar's very own super hero, Eden Steel, oh my god his is even more heroic in real life. Hahahaha, I'm joking of course. But he is something else in real life. I feel like he doesn't get fully out of character, constantly going on about fair fights and stuff. Like how do you even cheat in a Pokemon fight?"

Moira: "She is very tall and being quite stoic as well, she comes off as quite intimidating. I'm afraid I'll have to rely on type advantage to beat her as well. Which is no fun."

Fiona: "Now you are talking about someone I really like. I've gone down the slopes with her and I'll do it again plenty. I have yet to ask if we can get, you know, sky dropped in."

Malik: "While he seems alright on the surface, a lot sketches me out about him. Why keep a low profile and do sneaky shit with the League. Maybe its alright and I'm worrying about things without reason. But when you're a winner you get on the podium, shake the campaign, and pop the cork. I don't understand it."

Nordrin: "The pride, talking smack, it reminds me of the competition days. I miss them quite a bit with how nice everyone is around here. Its going to be very sweet when I beat him."

Zeke: "Cocky, vain, fierce competitor. Its a shame he isn't actually like that."

Thomas: "Everyone is so lax here, no one exemplifies that more than Thomas. Is Champion not the greatest title in the region? I don't understand it."

Elijah: "He looks like an accountant or something doesn't he? Athletes don't come back into the game, and its only a matter of time before they have to get a job. Gym leading really saved me huh? Sorry that was a bit of a tangent, I didn't even talk about him did I?"

Henrietta: "She was a year above me in school. Its good to see that after all the traveling she hasn't changed a bit."

Liam: "Liam is... overwhelming. It seems rich coming from someone like me I know that. He is nice though, just a little too nice."

Rowan looked up from her work at the Bunsen burner in surprise at hearing the door open. Although she knew that other witches would probably come in for preparations, she also worried that they may have not seen the sign. Temporarily blinding and doing serious damage to the eyes of her fellow witches was not something she wanted on her shoulders. But as she looked up, Rowan was relieved to see Kate wearing appropriate eye wear. "It's just me and don't worry, i'm wearing safety sunglasses" She smiled "no I'm not worrying, just glad to see the sign was big enough. Rowan carefully placed the conical flask to the side on a nearby windowsill, it only really needed to settle now and absorb some solar heat. Hearing Kate's list of plants, she took a little bit to process it then furrowed her brow a bit. Those were some incredibly potent ingredients. "Strange selections, can I have a look at what you are trying to make for a sec?"

Rowan had a look at Kate's home brewed recipes, the names definitely gave her a chuckle too. "I like the names, its a good touch." In terms of the three recipes themselves, they all seemed to revolve around the properties and effects of the flower with some add ons to perhaps improve the effect. It did peak Rowan's curiosity as to the effect of the other components also what flavor of frozen yogurt it was. Did it even matter what flavor it was? But all those curiosities were best left for Kate to know and Rowan to find out for the time being though.

"You can find all of those ingredients in the coven stock if you need." Rowan walked over toward her garden and plucked a single flower from the box. Kate would recognize this as a Sarcodes flower, but it wasn't quite that. Much like everything in her garden, Rowan had manipulated it with her magic to differ from the natural plant. "But if you are feeling adventurous, you can try brewing with this. I must say, I haven't quite had the time to test it properly yet. So it could do just about anything as far as I'm concerned. Have fun with it." Rowan gave the strange flower over to Kate.

Rowan noticed Maggie come in and grab a few potions and tonics. “That’ll be useful- I’ll let the others know you’re finishing up in here and then we’ll be on our way.” Finishing up? Rowan was barely halfway and Kate hadn't even started. Were the people outside really looking to head off so soon? This put Rowan in a small panic mode but of course she tried her best not to show it. "Thanks Maggie, yeah we will be out soon. My bags are already packed so it isn't too much of a worry." She had not packed her bags at all and it was absolutely a worry. Rowan waited for Maggie to be out of earshot as to not worry her or anything. "Alright we need to get a move on, we don't want to hold the others up do we?" Although, in reality, there was still a reasonable amount of time. The situation got blown out of proportion in Rowan's mind. "I still have a few things to finish up but I can help you get these done if you need."

Rowan made the finishing touches to Bottle Sunlight by adding a pinch of black salt and swirling. She poured the mixture into 3 identical capped vials and placed them in an empty pouch of her coat. The potions looked perfect, perhaps her best work yet. Rowan turned to Kate "I still need to pack my bags so I should probably get that done before they leave without me." She gave off a laugh with only a slight hint of nervousness. Rowan ran up the stairs to pack.

Sometime later, Rowan met up with Kate and Maggie outside. Seeing Summer enter Jean Luc's car, Rowan took a small gulp. "Should we, uh, see if Charlie is driving anyone?"

Part 7 Spoilers

The premise is one where Funny Valentine was the victor in the story and had claimed the holy corpse for the United States of America. The result of this was that the US took 'the napkin' and became the undisputed global power that Valentine envisioned for many years. He had also abolished term limits where he had ruled the country for 28 years before retiring a well loved hero of the American people. His funeral was held 4 years later back in his home town. His successors only served for following terms of 4 to 8 years, either because they were unnoticeable or just down right bad. However, no amount of failure on the side of the American leadership had ever resulted in it losing its grip on the world stage. That was until today.

Against any rational explanation, America has slowly begun to lose its grip on 'the napkin' and other powers have started to find success against them. This is not to say that the state of the world had not become content with the American rule, but some desperate factions who were struggling uselessly to resist are suddenly finding success.

But the player characters think little of this. Despite being raised for their entire lives under this system, the fact that it is suddenly under threat does not phase them. This is because there are bigger things on their minds. Each of them have started to develop mysterious unknown powers, and despite where their origins are in the world they feel a sudden compulsion. They are all drawn to a specific location, Pennsylvania.

okey doke. so did the us take over the world? or did they just have a large influence on the world? also what year is it?

The year is just present year so its been over a century since the events of Steel Ball Run.

America didn't take over in a hostile manner, but much like the analogy of the napkin the other countries sort of came to follow America's lead and become like them. So they have such a large influence that they basically just took over without having to do anything by force. Just assume that Funny Valentine's goals were achieved. This isn't to say there weren't a few rebellious forces in various places around the world, reactive force was taken to suppress them. It was incredibly one sided before because Funny Valentine's plan succeeded. But now those same groups, who were on the ropes before, are starting to gain some success and traction. No one knows why this has happened.

Of course your character would definitely not know the plans of Funny Valentine but they would know that the change in the world was credited to him, this is almost always said in a positive manner.

I've wanted to join a jojo rp on here for a while. I've already designed a couple of characters so far. Also curious by the way, how open are you to characters from abroad?

I am actually looking for characters from abroad, I think it would really fit the theme of a global force creating and calling people to the United States. Of course this isn't discouraging a character originating from the US either. You won't have to worry about RPing around language barrier or anything either. America taking the napkin would likely mean English is the primary language for all countries, if not a close and mandatory second.
