Personality: Diomedes is known for being an honourable and wise king in spite of the young age at which he took the throne of Argos. Though managing to accomplish many great deeds in his lifetime he is humble and modest and holds great respect for the Gods and the guiding hand of fate. He is stern in how he deals with others and doesn’t mince words whether it is with his enemies or his allies; he is not shy of calling others out on their cowardice or their foolishness when he sees it.

In battle he is fearless no matter the opponent, but more importantly he is fierce and merciless in how he deals with his enemies. The Trojan’s feared him even more than they did Achilles during the war and Diomedes is not the type of person to leave an enemy alive, no matter their situation or who they might be.

Diomedes always keeps to any oaths that he swears and shows great loyalty to those on his side, even putting the needs of the many over his personal feelings. He spared Odysseus after the man tried to kill him and take the Palladium for himself and he chose not to fight Achilles after the man killed Diomedes cousin, in both cases decided that they were too vital to the Achaeans cause to lose.

History: Diomedes was born from the joining of two royal families, with his father Tydeus being the only son of the King of Calydon, while his mother was the granddaughter of the King of Argos; the latter of which he was later succeed. His father died while he was still very young, having taken part in an unsuccessful attempt to conquer Thebes along with six other champions who were collectively known as the Seven Against Thebes; it was a campaign that he would later finish himself after swearing a vow with the children of the other champion’s children to avenge their fathers. Known as the “Epigoni”, meaning “offspring”, Diomedes and the other sons of the champions set out on a campaign ten years after the Seven Against Thebes failed attempt and were ultimately successful in the endeavour that their fathers had failed, conquering Thebes and installing the son of the instigator of the first Theban expedition as the city’s new ruler.

Upon returning home Diomedes found that his grandfather had died of grief upon learning that his son Aegialeus, one of the Epigoni, had perished in the battle; as such, Diomedes was left as the last of the king’s male descendants due to his mother being the king’s daughter. That being so, Diomedes ascended to the throne of Argos, marrying the king’s daughter, Princess Aegialia, in order to secure his grasp on power.

Prior to the Trojan War, Diomedes was one of the suitors of Helen and, as such, he was bound by the oath of Tyndareus, Helen’s father, which established that all the suitors would defend and protect the man who was chosen as Helen's husband against any who would attempt to harm him. Accordingly, when the Trojan prince Paris stole Menelaus' wife, all those who had sworn the oath joined him in trying to retrieve her.

With his fleet of 80 ships, the third largest fleet in the war after Agamemnon’s and Nestor’s, Diomedes entered the Trojan War, taking part in many battles and often being a key figure on the side of the Achaeans. As a king with much military experience his opinions carried weight in the war council meeting, despite being one of the youngest kings present, and he and Odysseus were the ones responsible for achieving many of the prophesies that led to Troy’s fall.

Despite angering Athena by being complicit in the desecration of her temple and for stealing the Palladium from Troy, Diomedes survived the Trojan War and managed to return home whereas many other Achaean leaders, such as Odysseus, were met with obstacles and distractions as punishment from the Gods; both he and Nestor left Troy as soon as possible, before Athena asked for the other Achaen kings to be waylaid by storms. However, he did not escape the war completely unscathed, as upon returning home he found that while he was away at war his wife had taken on a lover and he was prevented from entering the city he had once ruled; this was punishment from Aphrodite who had not forgiven him for wounding her during the war. Over time he was able to make amends to both Goddesses by returning the Palladium to his old enemy Aeneas and the remaining Trojans and by naming a city after Aphrodite and building many temples in her honour.

Personal Skills:
Affection of the Goddess A: Acting as Athena’s chosen champion for much of the siege of Troy, the Goddess of Wisdom gave Diomedes significant aid during the war, even driving his chariot for him in a charge against her brother Ares as she declaring that he should “not fear this immortal or any other god for I will protect you”. As one who was able to count on the Goddess’s blessing even when he did not request it, this skill grants Diomedes occasional protection from his enemy’s attacks and allows him to occasionally land attacks that should otherwise have missed, as if Athena herself was deflecting blows away from him or guiding his weapons to strike true by taking hold of it herself. Whether or not this skill activates is dependent on Diomedes own luck and the luck of his opponent.

Mana Burst (Flame) B: Another of the boons granted to Diomedes by Athena. Diomedes is able to infuse his shield and helmet with magical energy in order to boost their performance, wreathing them in flames that can be used to be used to attack or defend.

Throwing (Spear) B: In Diomedes’ hands any spear can be used as a deadly projectile as well as a close ranged weapon. Many of Troy’s finest warriors died at the end of a spear throw from Diomedes hands, such as the hero Pandarus, and even Hector himself would have died had he not been wearing the helmet given to him by Apollo as even a glancing blow was enough to stun Troy’s mightiest.

Eye of the Mind (True) B: By the time of the Trojan War, despite his young age, Diomedes could already claim to be one of the most experienced warriors among the Achaeans. The son of a mortal man and woman, lacking in the divine heritage of some of the more well-known peers, Diomedes skill at arms and combat was entire due to his own training, discipline and experience. Through countless battles he has managed to develop and hone a heightened capacity for observation, a danger-avoidance ability that utilizes the intelligence collected up to the current time as the basis in order to predict the opponent’s activity and change the current situation. This is not a result of talent, but an overwhelming amount of combat experience. A weapon wielded by none other than a mortal, gained through tenacious training.

Description: Among all of the Achaean’s fighting at Troy none could claim to have horses or a chariot as fine as those belonging to the hero Achilles; however of them all only Diomedes own chariot comes close to matching it in terms of speed or power. Pulled by a pair of horses descended from Zeus’ own immortal stock which were taken as spoils from the Trojan hero Aeneas and possessing the same powers of traversing the skies, Diomedes can rightly claim to have the second best chariot in Greece. While the horses summoned by this Noble Phantasm are not as strong as they were in life, they are still as strong as a Monstrous Beast.

With an invisible driver at the reigns, another embodiment of Athen’s affection for Diomedes given form, similar to his Affection of the Goddess skill, this Noble Phantasm requires no driver in order to operate at full power. This allows Diomedes to focus all of his efforts on fighting as the chariot moves according to his wishes in mowing down his enemies, regardless of if he is standing a top it or not. While riding this chariot Diomedes experiences a more consistent, if less powerful, version of his Affection of the Goddess skill as attacks aimed towards him are deflected and his own attacks receive increased accuracy, as if the Goddess herself was at the reigns beside him.

Description: Originally just an ordinary spear, after being granted the ability to identify Gods on the battlefield by Athena Diomedes used this weapon to wound two Olympic Deities in a single day, thereby elevating this simple weapon to a legendary status in people’s minds, becoming a weapon that held the concept of being able to “wound even the Gods themselves”. When struck by this weapon Aphrodite fled the battlefield and even Ares, God of War, cried out with the agony of ten thousand men. Though not wounded, when Diomedes charged him with this weapon Apollo felt a moment of fear before convincing the man to back away from challenging another God.

A conceptual weapon Noble Phantasm that holds the status of being anathema to those that are divine in nature, when holding this weapon Diomedes is able to discern whether or not someone possesses divine attributes at a glance. While nothing more than a well-made spear when fighting a non-Divine being, if any Servant has something which can be counted as a divine being this Noble Phantasm will deal additional damage to any target which possesses the Divinity Skill; the more Divinity the target has the greater its additional damage output. Furthermore, any being which possesses "divine protection" in any form materialized while find that protection useless against this spear.

Hmm, I should probably be careful with that wording. He's not intended to be from a family that's anything like the Tenryubito; just a regular old upper class family from West Blue.

For the fruit I'd like to reserve the Kumo Kumo no Mi/Cloud Cloud Fruit as a Paramecia type; it's not canon, but just in case someone has a similar idea.

His noble upbringing grants him a certain bearing and poise, a refinement and awareness of social etiquette that many others in the marines lack, leading to Ricardo having something of a gentlemanly disposition.

As far as Ricardo is concerned there are few things in life as important, or which bear as much weight, as duty; duty to one’s family first and foremost, but also to oneself and to society as a whole. “Those who have the ability to do good have the responsibility to do so”; these are the words Ricardo’s father taught him as a child, the same words that have been passed down his family for generations, the words by with he lives. He owes it to his family to live up to their legacy, he owes it to himself to reach his fullest potential and he owes it to society to make use of the gifts he has been given, whether they be physical, intellectual or socially, to make the world a better place.

Pride is Ricardo’s biggest failing, though rarely is it personal pride. Pride in his family, pride in the marines, pride in those things bigger than himself that he serves; this pride blinds him to the failings of others at times, covering his eyes with a rosy tint that prevents him from seeing what is so blindingly obvious to others. He can be, at times, a bit dense.

History: The eldest son of the Borja family, a minor noble family that has lived in West Blue for generations, Ricardo was taught from a young age that their privilege came with a responsibility; because they were more fortunate than others and in a better position to make positive change in the world, it was their duty not to misuse that power for their own gain, but instead to use it for the betterment of society.

These lessons might sound like a romantic fantasy to some, and in reality the Borja family probably didn’t live up to their own lofty ideals most of the time, but young Ricardo took those teaching to heart. As a boy he thought a lot about what he could do that would make a difference, but as a child there wasn’t much he could think of due to his limited knowledge of the world; all he knew was that he wanted to do something big. Although his family probably only meant to teach him to live his life considerately and without falling into corruption or vice, perhaps donate to charity or organise events, young Ricardo set his sights higher than that.

As Ricardo grew older it became increasingly obvious that he was going to be blessed with abnormal size and strength, being taller and broader than his peers and already as strong as a grown man by the age of 13. As he came to this realisation it became clearer that whatever path Ricardo eventually took would involve using his strength to help people; this idea was further cemented in his mind the first time he saw the marines in action, witnessing a fight between a small pirate crew and a detachment of marines at the port of his home town. From that day he made it his mission to join the marines and protect people.

At the age of 18 Ricardo enlisted at the 80th Branch Marine Base in West Blue, signing up as a simple cadet despite his background. Since then he has patrolled the waters of West Blue, working his way up the ranks until he became a lieutenant and was given command of his own boat and crew; for his brute strength and straight forward approach to combat he has earned the moniker “Iron Bull”.

Goal: Ricardo is not much of a dreamer; he has no real hatred for pirates in principle, so he doesn’t wish for a word without them, not does he have any grand ambitions like becoming Fleet Admiral or even a hero. No one individual has earned enough of his ire for him to want to see them fall or seek revenge against them, nor has he met anyone special enough for him to dedicate his life to.

His goals are to perform his duty admirably and honourably, to protect the people of the world from those who would do them harm, to make his family proud of the son they have raised and to keep his crew safe in his pursuit of all of that. In the future, maybe finding a wife and settling down would be nice, but anything beyond his current duties is something not worth wondering over at the moment.

Utilising his large and powerful body he rushes towards his opponents and crushes them, using a fighting style that is more brute strength than technique. When attacking he strikes with either his fists, arms or shoulders for the most part but there is not a single part of his body that he won’t use to defeat his opponent.

Even without the use of his Armament Haki his bulky form is able to withstand a large amount of punishment and he has a high pain tolerance and a stubborn disposition, allowing him to power through his opponent’s attacks to deliver his own.

Fighting Style: An overpowering, physical form of fighting that relies on his brute strength and large body to overwhelm the opponent. Relying on his Haki and physical bulk to weather any attacks, Ricardo focuses all of his effort into his offence instead.

A couple of things about my sheet; I used the western naming order for this guy since his name would sound weird otherwise and there's some precedent with guys like Edward "Whitebeard" Newgate and Marshall "Blackbeard" Teach, although they are named after real people, and I replaced "Bounty" with "Rank" since I didn't see a good place to put it.

Also, is it possible to reserve a Devil Fruit if we want our character to acquire one later in the RP?

I, the Demon King, Will Summon My Own Damned Heroes!

Things were going downhill surprisingly fast and not in a way Oberon had anticipated. Digbie had left the cave for some reason and saw that the Goblins were, to no one’s shock, not undertaking Digbie’s orders in good faith by leaving the animal hobbled and disarmed. Torrent had gotten involved at some point, attacking one of Rag’s followers and having Rag’s point a knife at her in turn.

Nothing was on fire this time though, so that was something.

Any chance of handling this diplomatically or neatly had probably been lost at this point. The only question was did they try and salvage what little they could, potentially still have the Goblins lead them to their tower and get what they could out of this, or did they just throw the whole plan away?

“Are we doing this? Are we fighting?” Oberon got his answer in the form of a chipped and broken sword striking Rag’s shield. “Okay, I guess we’re fighting.”

Before Oberon could do anything, Rag’s was struck in the side of the head by a blunt arrow, a fact that the Sprite hadn’t fully processed before a cloaked figure burst from the trees riding a mount swinging a net over his head. The new arrival was concerned for several reasons, but it seemed to be focusing on the Goblin’s rather than them for the moment and Oberon was content to leave it at that for the time being. Instead he turned his attention towards the large, sword-wielding Goblin who was currently trying to retrieve his weapon from the goat’s flank.

Oberon would much prefer it if the swordsman didn’t manage to get his weapon back and use it against them, so he prepared a Mana Slice and launched it towards the Goblin’s arms, hoping to either cut and damage the limbs or at least force him to release the weapon and leave it where it was.
