Personality: One would think someone can't be arrogant and caring, but Heather is. She is proud of what she is good at and isn't afraid to speak highly of herself on those subjects. She also wants to make sure those around her are happy and cared for. She's the type of friend who will hear you're sick and bring you a care package, complete with steaming hot tea with lemon and soup. Heather, of course, doesn't always think things through. The move to Red Lake even was an impulsive decision. One she hasn't regretted yet.
Habits: If Heather thinks she is alone or if she is really into the task she is doing she will hum. If angered she gets red in the face and walks away. She doesn't confront unless necessary. She has a somewhat dark sense of humor that gets worse the more stressed she is, and currently, if anyone makes a "your mom joke" she responds with "is dead" with a smile as true as the statement is.

Life Before Red Lake Heather was born and raised in LA. She had a mostly normal childhood speckled with family drama and some abuse. Early on she discovered her "green thumb" and general love for plants. It was no question to her what she would study in college. Heather went to Cornell College.
Heather has a BS in Botany, with a minor in Ecology & Biodiversity. It was during her college days that she realized how good she was with plants. Before that time she always had just had a "green thumb." Once she started working with plants closer, she realized she always knew what a plant was, even from just a sketch. Part of the reason Heather decided to not go into a lab to work she was a little lost. She decided she wanted to just live a simple life.
She moved to Red Lake, found a job at the cafe, and with some help from her parents started renting the cottage. That is where she started having a falling out with them.
Life In Red Lake: Heather's work at the cafe has consisted of her baking and making her own tea blends. She was only in Red Lake a few months when her mother first got sick. Heather couldn't afford to go home at first. Her father gave her an ultimatum to return for good, or no longer get his help with finances. Heather was in the process of moving home, and her mother died. She had no desire to just live with her father, so she refused.
She has just gotten back to Red Lake to discover that Riley is missing and Andrew Ryder is dead. Heather is freaked out by that and does not want to go back to her father's house so soon after saying she wouldn't live with him. She has no idea what she will do if she needs to leave town.
Thoughts On Riley Walker:Riley is a sweet young woman. She doesn't deserve whatever has happened to her. I hope she is found and that she can recover from the trauma of this experience.
Thoughts On The Murder: I wasn't in town for either Riley going missing or this death. This seems evil though. I have a feeling that the natives of this region are lashing out. I think I shall have a bag ready in my car if I need to leave town again, though that will feel like admiting defeat to my father.
