Niah smiled at Novikova giving her a small wave. She missed her, which if someone had told Niah that she would miss Novikova a year ago she wouldn't have believed them. Weird how having each other's backs in a battle built bonds like that...or destroyed them. "Put on a suit Novi. That'll help protect you. If you haven't already gotten M-pox. If we are lucky though Cass' blood here will help and we should be able to synthesis a vaccine." Niah handed her one from a stack.

"You know I would have helped you, Bonnie." Niah smiled and looked at Cass. Niah was thankful Cass was okay. It had been scarily close. She wasn't certain how she felt about Matt now since he literally was the reason she had almost died, he did seem really upset about it at least. She frowned and was about to offer to help Cass instead when the building rocked. "What was that? That was not an Earthquake."

"I am sorry Cass. Please forgive me." He felt guilty for his power. His fear of somehow overdoing it had come true. If not for Sparky's quick thinking he could have very well killed Cass. "Thank you Sparky." He mentally swore to himself that he would do whatever it took to help Sparky find Raynor.

Matt took the wheelchair from Bonnie and was offering to help move Cass from the stretcher to the wheelchair when the building shook. He thought it might be an Earthquake for a moment. He hadn't experienced one yet so he wasn't certain, Niah said it wasn't though. He trusted her knowledge on the matter since she was from the Philipines were earthquakes was as common as they were in San Francisco. But then it shook again and he knew what was happening.

"Those are explosions." He said answering Niah's question. Strange had said he was doing protective runes against the Black Order, but that didn't rule them out. That actually made them his top suspect. "Black order? I'd say we should check Thane in the holding cell, but with this new information..." He trailed off looking at Oliver. He wasn't certain he completely understood Oliver. He definitely didn't know how Novikova knew that he was Thane, but she had something with her sight right? "If Hill was pissed about the botched job at the Prison, she's gonna be even more pissed to learn it was unnecessary." Matt winced at the idea. "Do you think Thanos knows? Thank you for the heal Tempest, that's going to be helpful."

"Cass do you want to stay here or want me to take you to the explosion?" Considering it seemed like she couldn't walk he would carry her if he had to, but only if the wheelchair couldn't get through a situation. He was going to head to the explosion though. Thankfully he had been healed by Tempest.

Dalisy knew where her sister was. She had spent time trying to make sure this was all right. She put out several bombs in the Hanger of the building Niah worked in. In the Hanger, it would cause a distraction. It would draw the others who worked in the building. They would either evacuate or they would head toward the explosions. Dalisy knew that the people in the building were agents, not quite government, but government-sanctioned. Her sister worked for them. It would have been better if Niah hadn't been here, but for the time that Dalisy had been watching Niah had rarely left the building.

In the hanger, the bombs went off. There was a few people that Dalisy could hear the voices of. She accepted that they would be casualties, but that was something that had to be accepted in this action. A fire was now blazing and alarms were starting to go off. Three ships were destroyed. That would do.

Dalisy didn't know if Niah would be one of the ones running toward the explosion or away. The sister she had known so long ago would have wanted to help. Niah was kind-hearted, which led Dalisy to consider that her little sister would be coming to help. That meant the likelihood of Niah coming here was much higher than her just evacuating.

Dalisy took a position behind a vehicle that hadn't exploded, this would do. She only needed to make contact with Niah, stealth was not super vital, but she didn't want to be the first thing that was spotted when someone entered the hanger.

Andy wasn't certain what Jason said. She couldn't figure it out past his accent, but it didn't sound like he made a guess about what Arthur's truth and lies were so she made a guess. "I'm just gonna go with the most outrageous one, you're not royalty...right? You got mine right. A random homeless dude gave it to me." She said and pulled the knife from the bracelet to show it off, then returned it.

When the strange woman appeared Andy didn't know who she was, but she guessed the woman was a goddess. Or an enemy. Andy half stepped behind Rebecca who seemed like she knew what was going on, her hand was back on her bracelet ready. But then Rebecca introduced the woman. Andy's eyes went wide. This was the first goddess she had met. She had met Dionysis so she could say the first god. Andy also had a theory about her homeless friend who had given her the knife, but she wasn't ready to voice it yet.

"Hi, I'm Andy." Andy had no idea how to properly introduce herself to a god. So she went with a basic introduction. She lifted her chin trying to look brave.

Niah was still angry at Leandra, but now was the time to deal with that. That was for after the war that was looming over them. She did some mental calculations. The battle would be fought on Rome territory they could do a lot to prepare for it. They had a lot of practice with engineering chaos because of the war games. Nancy was right to put Alexia Fernández in charge of setting traps.

Though, something caught as strange. There were only four from Rome who were involved in Nancy's vision, but it took place on their land. Precautions were definitely going to be necessary. She considered her invisible sword and if they had anything else similar that could be secreted on the four of them. Yes, she was including Leandra in that because their survival was a team effort.

"I have no further questions." Niah said, her stuff was mostly packed up, but she pulled out her sketchbook real quick and made some notes. "Long live Rome." Niah added to the cheer. She didn't have to dilly dally though. She needed to get the emergency war games set up and ready.

"It is fine Georgina I understand. And I apologize for what I said." Mary looked down at her hands. She had a hard time with empathy, always had, but her friendship with the twins and Georgina had made her a better person than if she hadn't known them.

To Apollo, she said, "Yeah, didn't want any of us to be stuck in that carriage."

Then looking back at Georgina as her question registered. "Beasts? You mean the Thestrals. Oh, Georgina." Mary's eyes went wide with the realization. She pulled her friend into a hug. "I know you said what you saw, but it didn't dawn on me. I'm sorry. The creatures that pull the carriages are called Thestrals. You can only see them if you've seen someone die." She let Georgina go. "They often hunt birds, so I have to be wary if I'm flying." At least her sneak-o-scope was quiet again.

Shortly, they were at the school, and as a group, with those from carriage one they went up to Albus Dumbledore's office. She was nervous, had she gotten into trouble somehow? She didn't talk much as they walked. Too nervous with her stomach in twists as she considered what punishments they might receive. When Paige said the password she clenched her fists. Why did she have the code? Mary really had no idea what this could be about now. Paige hadn't been involved and who in their right mind would give her the code to Dumbledore's office?

She shook her head when Dumbledore offered a licorice snap, she had lived among wizards since she was eight and still wasn't used to the candies like that. Mary was irritated that Paige asked the questions she had of her own. However, Mary trusted Dumbledore and was okay with the idea of fighting for the greater good. Mary considered the group and what she knew about them. It was an interesting and diverse dynamic. Annoying people aside. The group gathered in the Headmaster's office could be a formidable group if trained properly.

Mary had more questions. "I have a question Professor" Mary said raising her hand slightly and waited.

“Yes, Miss Winthrop?” Dumbledore said giving her permission to speak.

"I have a full load of classes planned this year, as well as in charge of planning the-" She cut herself off as she realized she didn't know if everyone was supposed to know about the ball yet. "Thing...uh, you know the thing. Will I be able to take all those classes still?" She knew which one she would drop if required, but she didn't want to. "That is to say. I am super interested in being involved in the Scamander Society." A part of her was terrified at the idea of it. She hated organized religion and secret societies were close.

Atrium

Only Noah remained in the Atrium staring at the sky outside. He finally stopped doing his mental math and returned to the Galley joining the others.

Room Three

Kyle did a thorough search of the dead android woman's room. First, he opened the nightstand drawer that had held his own personal item. In the woman's room was a leather collar. He left in the drawer. Then moved on continuing to search. Eventually, he found a false panel in the dresser. From it, he removed a postcard without any addresses on it that reads “The sunsets I’ve seen since being here can’t compare to your beauty. I miss you. Xoxo”

Kyle returned the panel and continued his search of the room. During which Cal entered the room offering the knife. Kyle nodded, took the knife, and cut just up his arm, red blood welled out of it. "Did you pass?" He asked her. "I found something interesting." He said and showed her the postcard. "Let's go show the others."

Tessa followed behind the others back to the Galley. She had little desire to be alone. When she entered the room she gave the robot zombie thing a wide berth not wanting to get too close. Not that she actually expected it to get up, at least not at this point. She saw that the others were ordering steak to get the knives from the set. She placed her own order, poked her finger. It hurt like a bitch but she was able to get herself to bleed, blissfully red.

"Not a robot." She said holding up her pricked finger so the others could see the red blood. Luke still looked like he was ready to pass out, but he was holding tightly onto where Manny had cut him. Manny finished wrapping up the kid's arm. He was launching into a textbook explanation of why Zarina had made a bad choice. Tessa only partially listened. She was trying to find a way to hide the knife on her person

"When you cut yourself with unclean tools while being covered with mysterious substances you risk those things entering your body. For all we know the hydraulic fluid you found in the android has nanobots in them and those are not entering your system turning you slowly into a robot as well. That is assuming that whoever put us here has the technology. But from what I've seen it is possible.

As for an infection, you'll recognize if it is happening when the skin that surrounds the cut is often red and may feel hot. You’ll likely notice some swelling in the affected area. As the infection progresses, it may begin to ooze a yellowy substance. If you notice any of these symptoms let me know immediately. Hopefully, the alcohol wipe will reduce the likelihood of infection. If the infection progresses without being taking care of it could eat away at your arm, and potentially kill you."

"Paranoid much?" Tessa said to Manny.

"We've been apparently kidnapped, potentially experimented on. Who knows what all was done to us? We've been taken from our home, which according to Noah is unfathomably far from us. And that is only a guess from what we think we know. We don't even know if what we know isn't real. If being paranoid about the fact that one of us was an android designed to do God knows what but malfunctioned is unreasonable I think you're missing the point." Tessa looked at Manny, she hadn't meant anything she had been just joking around but she was irritated with his response. She turned away from him and picked up a crossing from the abandoned breakfast.

Manny ordered his own steak, he wiped his hand with one of the alcohol wipes and then used the knife to cut his hand deftly. He held up the red blood. "Who is left? Vinnie, Kyle, Noah, Gordon, and Raynor?" Kyle had not yet rejoined the group.

Noah and Gordon each ordered their own steak, with a complimentary steak knife, and proved they bled red.

"Okay, what next? We gotta get out of here, right? Find a way home. Get our memories back?" Tessa didn't want to say that before she had gone to the atrium she had had no memories. There had been nothing at all. A giant blackness. But something about the trees in the Atrium had brought memories back, they had given her a strong desire to return home. She wanted to get back to her trees. These were nice, but they weren't the right ones.

"I don't think we are the first here." Kyle said as he entered the room. "Or the android had been here longer than us. Something is weird about this." He put the postcard he had found on the table, he held up his arm with the red stain from his own test proving that he as well was not a robot. That left Vinnie and Raynor as the last ones who needed to cut themselves.

Niah would be okay with busking or asking her mortal father for help. She did have a fairly decent relationship with him. "Mine might send a boat or a surprise river." Niah shrugged. Her experience with her mother was limited. "But willing to give it a try when we get to Fargo. Both plans even. We do make a formidable group. I can draw attention to myself with the anger thing. You two could flank it." She was like Hulk but could make other people Hulk out.

"I miss payphones." Niah cast her gaze around them making sure there wasn't anything for them to be worried about. She was hungry and sore from the train. Yeah, their trip had been, so far, not awful. Heck none of them had even gotten hurt. Though it was possible their ruse to get the phone might backfire, which was part of the reason Niah hated lies. They were dangerous if they got out of control. Heck, how would they explain three teens around the same age calling each other sister? Adoption? Foster care? Probably one of those.

"I can't drive either if that wasn't obvious. Maybe we should ask for driving lessons after this. Like with real cars." She sighed, and shoved her sketchbook away. "But a cab or bus might work. We'd have to figure out what the bus lines and changes would be though. Though, an eight hour cab ride is really expensive I bet." Niah chewed on her lip thinking.

Niah was torn about how to feel about Raynor having been a Skrull. There was definitely something very bad about it. That meant that the tests Bonnie had done had either been compromised or the Skrull had taken Raynor after. Niah hoped it was the latter. She frowned. This was not good. There had to be another way to test for Skrulls. A more reliable way. One that you could do every time you met with someone.

"Of course." Niah smiled and winked at Tempest.

She stood tensely nearby in case she was needed. What Cass was going through could not be easy and Niah was glad that she wasn't the one on the table being experimented on. Not that she hadn't been on a table being experimented before. But thankfully she had been unconscious for the three weeks that had taken. She looked around. It was sad how few of the other Phase three people were left. Death, reassignment...being written out of existence.

Watching the procedure had Matt on edge. He did think about the fact that he had not had his helmet on for quite some time and there appeared to be no ill effects for him. It was likely he was now immune to the mists like the princess had been. The others on the team weren't though and what Cass was doing was to save them and who knew how many other mutants.

Matt shrugged uncertain if he could reverse the paralysis, he had never tried before. It normally just wore off. He put his hand back on her cheek and considered the feeling of how he made people paralyzed. He tried to reverse it. At first, nothing happened. He pushed a little harder and then he watched Cass' stop rising.

"No." He whispered, and pressed harder trying to fix it. He couldn't hurt her. Not Cass. He watched as things went very wrong. "Cass! Shit. I don't know how to reverse it. I made it worse. She's not breathing." He looked up at Bonnie. The horror of what he had done written in his features. "Her heart...It has stopped."

"It is okay. I avoided it mostly. I've probably told like two direct lies ever." She shivered slightly at the memory. "Right, so good news. There are routes to Mount Rushmore. Two of them. Bad news. One of them is a flight we can take. The other requires a car and an eight-hour drive." Niah didn't know how to drive. And had no clue how they would get tickets on a flight.

Niah pulled her notebook open and showed them the notes she had jotted down. With the airport, they would need to leave from, and the turns they would need to get from Fargo to Mount Rushmore. It was a long trip. The flight would be the fastest, but identification and money would be required with a lot of security between them and the flight. The car might be easier to con from someone, which Niah didn't particularly like the idea of, but it might be necessary.

"If we can get to a Western Union I can call my dad and see if he'll wire me money. That could at least take care of that part of it, but uh, I didn't exactly come to America via the usual routes." She had taken a flight, but her paperwork had all been temporary two years ago. She had been too young for any proper identification. No one had questioned her then, but now things weren't guaranteed to be so easy.

"I don't know. But probably an hour. If you need to get back to town faster I can see if one of the rangers can drive us into town? AAA puts people who are in a safe place lower on the call list. If there are a lot of emergencies going on then it could be longer." Rose entered the ranger station and smiled brightly. It was Bobby working at the desk.

"Hey Bobby, something happened and my motorcycle's tires blew, both of them. I don't get it. And our phones aren't getting any signal. Can we use the station phone to call AAA? Or alternatively, if you guys aren't too busy can one of you help me load my bike into a truck and drop us back into town so we don't have to wait for AAA?" Rose smiled, hoping for the later. She was glad it was someone she knew in the Rangers.

She did still have work at the bar that evening. Willow was supposed to meet them there. Then tomorrow they would go to the warehouse. If the bike tires hadn't exploded they could have made it theoretically today. And somewhere in there, they needed to get Sierra's phone fixed.

"Oh, and there is a root that is dangerous. We'll need need to get one of the guys to grind it down. I can give you the coordinates." Rose offered. She knew that the Rangers often tried to keep the hiking trails clear of stuff like that so people wouldn't get hurt. It was a good thing Sierra hadn't been hurt. Rose wasn't certain how the root had gotten so overgrown like that in the first place. Chalk it up to another mystery for the day.

Colby waved goodbye to the girl. He didn't know her name but that wasn't unusual he didn't know everyone who lived in the apartment complex. He nodded at Matthew's request and headed inside to find Carroll. "Carroll, it is me Colby. It is okay to come out buddy." Colby knelt down and held out his hand, waiting for Carroll to come out to him. It was best to not do sudden movements around a scared cat. Fortunately, Colby had been building a trust bond with Carroll since Colby had first made friends with Matthew.

He didn't know how well Carroll would handle being in the car so he did put him in a kennel. Jack could be trusted in the car, and on his shoulder. Colby had gone for walks plenty of times with Jack on his shoulder. Now that Colby knew he was the son of an actual cat that made sense. He had a good bond with his cat because of that.

Once that was all squared away Colby headed back to his car, he secured Carroll and shoved some of the collected trash into a nearby bin. The Chinese food was still in the front seat, but he cleaned around it giving Matthew some proper legroom. Colby wasn't certain how long they would be in the car. The warehouse wasn't far away, but he did know the plan had originally been to meet in three days. He tossed his own pack of stuff in the trunk.

Niah took the phone, nodded at the lady her thanks. Then stepped away from the small crowd gathering around her "sister". She pulled up google real quick and found two possible routes. One they would have to rent a car, and it would take eight hours. Or catch a flight. She frowned, pulled out her sketchbook, and wrote down the two routes real quick. Then deleted the search from the phone's memory cache.

Niah then dialed 767-2676. She could only hope that their current area code this number worked in this area. There was a pickup tone and then an informative voice told her the time. Niah spoke quietly about her sister not feeling well and could one of their parents hurry up and pick them up.

After what felt like an appropriate amount of time she hung up and turned back to the group. "Thank you." She didn't dare try actually lie. The fake phone call had been hopefully enough for her part in the ruse. And hopefully, if the lady looked at the number she wouldn't realize the kid who had borrowed her phone had called popcorn.

"Good point." Mary said to Madalyne with a small nod. It really was a good point. Proof that Madalyne belonged in Ravenclaw, but that didn't make Mary have to like it. She wanted to yak everywhere but managed to keep it down.

Mary hated having the twins invade her mind, but it was the reason she had opened up to Apollo all those years ago. He understood her in a way no one else did. She almost pushed Arty out, but his pain both physical and mental kept her from doing it. Her face went pale at the images. That explained so much. She went to reach out to put her hand on his shoulder and offer to heal the break, though it would be best to wait for Madam Pomfrey. Then the bus contorted and popped, as did her luggage.

She grabbed the spell-o-tape from the luggage and used it to tape it shut. She looked at Madalyne wincing as she saw she was missing her tooth now. "Probably best to keep the tooth if you can find it. Madam Pomfrey should be able to fix that." Mary was actually a little thankful for the jostling of the bus it kept her from crying over what her friends had seen.

Even better, the trip was over. She wanted to just get off of it. She did not understand the kid who kept changing their hair somehow. What was up that? Mary had some questions, but Mary knew they could be answered in due time. She tensed up when she heard her name called. Was she in trouble still? Not all of those names were people who had been involved in the incident, and some of those people hadn't been called.

She left her suitcase but kept her satchel pack with her. That had her wand in it anyway and there was no way she was going to leave her wand behind. Mary could only help the spell-o-tape would keep her things from spilling out until she could get the latch fixed. "Let's go." Mary said to Apollo and Artie, "We gotta hurry."

Mary saw Georgina as she headed for the exit as quickly as she could. She did not want to get stuck on the bus and left behind because of a swarm of kids. She was prepared to use her status as a prefect to clear the way if she needed to. "Georgina, are you okay? Do you need a hand?" Whatever her friend needed she was willing to offer. She felt bad for what she had said on the train, she knew it wasn't the right thing to do. Especially right after Georgina had seen the Death Eater be killed.

As she exited the bus she saw that Paige was getting into the first horseless-carriage. "Second carriage, Paige went into the first one." She told the others. Helping them if they needed it before getting all four of them into the cart. Mary hoped that the fifth spot would be taken up by Mintfree, and not Madalyne. "What in the world can Dumbledore want with this collection of people?" Nothing Mary could come up with made sense.
