Ed Penior

Location: Xavier's Mansion - The Danger Room
Skills: Sympathetic Magic: Healing

Ed had been about to conjure his shield back up again. He considered leaving it up at this point. When the animals that Annie predicted stormed through the room and tossed him like a sack of potatoes. He hit a wall and saw stars for a second. That was going to hurt in the morning. If they made it.

Bethany blessedly was able to shadow transport all of the animals out of the danger room. "Thank you, Bethany." He stood up and looked around, there were several people with more than bruises on them. Now that his turn was over he could spend the time to cast a healing spell. "Who wants some healing? If you guys can keep me from being trampled by the next thing I'll get started on that."

Ed was particularly worried about Neil, Lance, and Bethany who had collapsed to her knees. All three of them had blood coming from their wounds. That made his job easier. He went to each and if permitted wiped a finger taking a small amount of their blood, careful to not cross-contaminate it and started his spell. It was a cruel reminder to him as he set about the task of how easily his sister cast healing magic. She usually hadn't even needed the blood of hair to do it. For her it wouldn't have taken even half the time it took him to cast, she had been good at healing magic she could cast it instantaneously. He needed to get better at this if he was to be even slightly helpful in the future.

For Neil, the magic took easily and he was as healthy as he had been at the start of the day. Bethany, it wasn't as kind for and only partially healed her wounds. Lance, maybe it was something with his DNA, but nothing happened.

Andy stared at the green-haired girl, who hadn't introduced herself yet. She was babbling and asking a whole slew of questions. Some of those Andy was happy to have answered by one of the 'mutant underground' as Viel called them. Some of the questions were weird. Like who were the cops? Who didn't know who cops were? Those were the guys that showed up and arrested you and you were never seen again. Or took you to a different foster home. Cops were dangerous. You never knew which it was going to be. Andy had kept her mutant status secret that she had never been dragged off to a place worse than just a different home, but that option was gone to her now.

"Cops aren't safe. Don't trust them. Also, I think this is their van. If they took another that would be stealing." Andy didn't trust many people. She didn't even trust the people she was in the van of. But she knew what she was capable of, she could protect herself. "What is Midgard?" She asked. It only seemed fair to ask her a question after that slew of questions that Andy hadn't even known where to start.

Rebecca asked what everyone's sun signs were. Andy wasn't certain what that meant at first but then Alannah said she was Leo and it clicked. Andy didn't know which one she was, but she did know the birthday the system had given her. She didn't like to think about her birthday too much as it was a bit of a sore spot. The government had assigned one that made sense with her age at the time she was found at the hospital but they couldn't be certain.

"I don't know my real birthday, but I've celebrated it on July seventh. I don't know what sun sign that is." Andy gave a bit of a shrug. She didn't want to make a big deal out of her birthday. It was too much of the day that kids growing up in the foster care system focused on. It was the day their real parents were supposed to visit, and Andy's never did. Now she understood why her father never visited, but what about her mother? Why didn't she seem to care?

Andy watched the screens. She was glad the ship was on auto-pilot she hadn't played a lot of video games so she didn't really know how to use the controls.

Niah winced as Nancy even agreed with her. She had gone a bit dark, but at least she wasn't gifted with prophecy. If she had been she would just keep her mouth shut. "Sorry." She said to Mads but gave a nod in agreement. At least they would be together. Together they made a good team. They had been best friends since the fight with the dragon because of that. She rubbed the friendship bracelet.

Counting heads among the senate as they gathered was a bit nerve-wracking. They'd probably wait a few more minutes to give all the senators that were going to show up time to show up, then the vote would be cast. Obviously, with the Praetors and Niah they had three votes in the bag, and there were a few senators that tended to just agree with them. But since this would take both Praetors out of New Rome at the same time it was likely that some of the senators would fight it, and demand other people go in their stead or just the fifth cohort kids. That would also be fought, gods above. Couldn't have a team of just the fifth cohort. Niah mentally rolled her eyes.

Emily smiled as Waverly healed the stuffed animals. The tragic part was it just meant Alexandra would use them again, but it was sweet and told her a lot about Waverly. Emily frowned at the painting. She didn't really understand it and that was almost as terrifying as understanding it. She sighed slightly and turned to Alexandra "We need a prophecy for a quest, please. We three are going with the Praetors and Niah to see if Atlas can give us any information about what this is about." She pointed to the painting.

Emily had never sounded so sure that she was going on a quest before. Not that she had been on a lot, and certainly never with the Praetors. The end of the world is a weird time to be living in. They needed answers though. They needed to have an idea of why and who was involved in this Great Prophecy. Without some information, they would certainly lose.

Rose Buckner

"Thank you, Merlin." It felt ridiculous as she said his name. Like it was some fake name. She couldn't quite believe it completely still. She had seen some weird stuff but it felt like a really elaborate prank so far. When the cop lady mentioned that people were going to start filing missing person reports about them Rose frowned. She didn't want the Buckners to think she had been kidnapped so she sent them a quick text. "I'm okay, but I found a lead about my birth parents and I'm going to check it out. I'll try to contact you soon, but I don't think my phone will have a signal. Love you both and thank you." It wasn't much. She should call them, but she wanted what was on the other side of the portal too much.

"Trust me I always want to flirt with your sister more." Rose said grinning at Layla. She followed after Sierra through the portal into her homeworld. And home felt like the right word. The trees and the world fit in with the little bit of memory she had from before the Buckners had found her. She had repressed a lot of them, but she remembered telling them about how everything seemed to be alive. She remembered her mother and the wolf protecting her. Maybe in the real version of the little red riding hood, the wolf became friends with the kid who would grow up to become her mother. How odd was that thought?

But for all of the correct-ness of this wood, it wasn't the right one. It was close, but this wasn't the one the cottage from her memory was. She didn't feel like if she walked just the right path she'd find it and smell cookies baking, but it was close. Closer than she had ever been in her whole life to finding the right woods.

Colby Jackson

Location: The warehouse -> Camelot
Skills:

There was a good spread of fairy tale kids. A part of Colby felt bad for leaving Pandora behind. She hadn't been a friend, but she had been interesting. He lifted his chin as he stepped through the portal. He never made a call or left a text for anyone. Only the note for his roommates would tell the world what he had gotten involved in. Colby didn't care. He was happy to be leaving this place. Happy that he had Matthew going with him.

Once they were through the portal he looked around taking in the view. They were in a wood. This wasn't the wood of Wonderland though. Wonderland was too non-sensical for this wood to be the right place, which made sense. Camelot was traditionally part of England. Wonderland was a different world entirely. Full of strange creatures and plants.

Colby had already introduced himself so he didn't bother to do it again, and he decided he'd let Matthew introduce himself. What was interesting to Colby though was all these kids had at one point been to the same orphanage, how odd was it then that they didn't really remember each other. It made sense for Colby as he was one of the younger people in the group. He had been barely a toddler when he had been adopted, but some of them were much older. Like Rose looked like she was mid-twenties. Did she remember a young Matthew desperate to be adopted and leaving him behind?

Sophia tried to climb into the pipe but was hit with a face full of water. That did not help Tessa to get past her deep-seated fear, at least she knew why she was so afraid of drowning. Of water. Why she hated the woman in the photo. Having answers was nice. But Noah was also right, those answers were painful. Vinnie was able to get up into the pipe, and shortly after she had the water turned off.

Tessa blinked. She could climb in there now. Though a part of her brain feared what would happen if the water turned back on. She didn't care. This was a route to potential freedom. More answers could be found if they climbed up and out of there through this pipe. With the water off the bigger people in their group stood a chance of getting up and through the pipe, but it would still be a tight fit.

She climbed up into the pipe, glancing back and seeing a faraway look in Manny's eyes. He was staring at the rope and looked like he was about to vomit. "Dude you okay?"

"I remember everything." Tessa nodded, made sense. Remembering was traumatic and if you had a particularly nasty memory...well yeah she couldn't blame a guy who was military for looking like he had seen the end of the world. She didn't push him, just turned back around and started up the pipe until she found the ladder going up with Vinnie still hanging on it. She was shivering.

"What's up?" Tessa didn't know to keep her voice quiet so she asked at her normal speaking volume.

Luke was lost in his own head thinking. What he noticed though was how both Kyle and Gordon tensed as the empty bottle of pills fell to the ground. Kyle stepped forward and offered his hand to Cal.

"Hey, are you okay?" Worry was etched deeply on his face. "We don't have to do anything if you need some time." He spoke calmly. Luke recognized the voice of someone who had talked people off edges and cared deeply about each of them. Luke looked to Cal seeing the tears and stress in her features.

Gordon stepped over to the machine and returned seconds later almost with a box of tissues and offered it to Cal. "My cakes aren't worth crying over. I promise." Gordon tried to joke.

Luke was at a loss for what to do. He had siblings, lots of them, but that had never made helping one of them out any easier. When his sisters were upset it was always best to just give them space, and with both Kyle and Gordon standing near Cal, he didn't want to overcrowd her so he stayed put.

Vinnie and Zarina would hear the radio crackle. It wasn't Zarina's radio though. It was the person who was coming to inspect the devices. Raynor's voice was clear. The person paused and looked at the radio on their hip. They removed it and looked at the device confused. Then responded in a low timber voice, "Hello? Who are you?"

"Honestly, how dare you insult me in such a way. And yeah I'll save you a seat. Good luck. I'm ready, end of the world bring it on." Dalisy said as she and Beth went separate ways. She wasn't surprised that Beth knew it was her. Though the idea of the end of the world was not particularly pleasant. As much as she had joked. She didn't want to have to fight a battle she knew she would lose.

She watched as people entered the hall filling it. There was always enough room, but yet there was only one elevator. An oversight that drove her nuts. Dalisy was fond of people watching. A pair of people caught her eye, maybe it was the green hair. Then it clicked who she was seeing. Magnus Chase and Alex Fierro. Alex was a child of Loki, half-sibling of Beth, and Magnus was a son of Frey, half-brother of Nadia. Yuck. Yuck about Nadia. Not about Chase. Well that wasn't totally true Chase had become something of a superstar and she hated that.

Dalisy let her gaze drift off of the pair of them, as if she hadn't been thinking about how annoying Chase's half-sister was. She watched for maybe Arnora, though considering she had seen Arnora with Nadia she decided she wasn't going to get her friend's attention when she joined them in the Hall. That would just be inviting for stabbing time. After being called soft by Beth that seemed like a fun idea though.

Niah Bautista

Skills: Armor Control

Niah was glad they didn't have to worry about monsters as they flew from Fargo to Mount Rushmore. And she was very hungry by the time she spotted the mountain. She wasn't American so she hadn't ever been like 'gotta go to Mount Rushmore' and seeing it apparently defaced by the dragon only elicited a snort from her.

Niah looked around trying to find a good place to land. She posted an amphitheater looking thing. She nodded to herself and shifted slightly. Her legs were a bit numb. She focused on bringing them down though. Thankfully there weren't any people. She sighed released as all the armor touched down and she didn't have to concentrate on it anymore.

"I'm starving and want a nap." She said and flopped slightly over the edge of the boat onto the blown up part of the boat. Niah let out a long sigh. She wiggled her feet to get the blood flowing back into them.

The next couple of minutes were unusual. First, Bethany shadow traveled the group to the front entrance. Then, Lance light traveled him a few others into the danger room. Ed had been teleported before, but both Bethany and Lance's powers were different than any of his cousins who were good at teleportation. He considered how his body felt, and for a moment he thought he might be joining Neil with vomiting, but then it settled down.

"I do notice something is off. Not sure what it is though." Ed answered Pietro(?) question. If that was Guin in Pietro that made Ed really uncomfortable. He supposed there was wiggle room since they were married and consent might have been given. But it was just unpleasant. "I think the faster we get through this the better." He dropped his shield spell, it wasn't serving them here and now, though he might need to put it up again quickly. He picked up the dice and let them drop at a slight angle onto the board. A five and a one for a total of six landed face up.

Don't be fooled, it isn't thunder.
Staying put would be a blunder.

As soon as the orb reveals its riddle, the ground immediately starts to shake, as if hundreds of feet were heading their way.

"Looks like we should be teleporting out of here again." Ed frowned.

Andy felt weird getting into the van. She was certain she had been taught as a little kid not to get into stranger's vehicles. "So what if I like his songs?" Andy snapped at the diva guy. Though as she thought about it she didn't even know if she did like his songs. She wasn't a big music person. The music she was used to was the stuff the boxers would listen to. "Also I have a name too." Andy considered giving the fake name on the ID that Ash had gotten for her. "Call me Andy." She decided. She might as well go by that, and Andy could be short for Andrea.

She rolled her eyes at the ice lady. How was she supposed to know that? She had met the group less than an hour ago. They didn't know everything about her and how her power worked, how should she know theirs? "Who is your sister anyway Justin Bieber? Why does that matter?" She asked the diva guy tilting her head. He hadn't introduced himself either. Andy didn't have names for almost everyone there.
