and I was waiting on KoL, but it looks like Seishun lost its steam regardless.

I have a half complete post that aI can finish later today, but I do agree with you on the loss of momentum here. I'll post, but at this moment I can't see this going much far than where we are now.
IIRC, the name 'Assassin' itself is a catalyst to pull a Hassan, because the Hassan come from the a secret order that basically created the 'term' Assassin. If you want a different Assassin, you have to use a catalyst to pull them, or figure out a way to bypass that part of the ritual.

Despite being official, this is a weak ass explanation. I'd the was the case, the Berserker class would be formed only of mad Viking men wearing animal pelts while fighting under the effect of 'shrums and alcohol. After all that's a word that's also linked to a specific group instead of a "combat style" like the others are.

On an unrelated note, I think I like the Rider class the best they are the ones that get the really cool NP's. A freaking lot of Sabers have sword beams for no better reason than because Arthuria does, Archers usually have OP NP's but those tend to be last ditch moves. Lancers have the best NP's from a practical POV, but when did Lancers every had the luck to do anything without being screwed by fate? There's nothing to comment of Casters, Assassins and Berzerkers on the matter.

But Riders, they get flying chariots and mystical beasts, armies of loyal followers and fleets of ships, anything that made them great commanders in life. They are pretty much a class made of win.

On that note, I guess that I dislike Assassins the most because I don't empathize with the Hassans like at all. Other stations that aren't them are cool, however. In this case, I probably would go for zerkers as my least favorite class because of the aforementioned ME issues.
@Lord of Evil

I just got a mention here, if that's what you wanna know. I'll try to come up with a character soon, but my ideas aren't flowing so well, just give me a bit more time.
I know. They're based on power. And the odorless, tasteless liquid that can kill you with 10 milligrams of contact is apparently less powerful than a depth charge, even if it covers the entire battlefield. Who knew?

There's also the issue of even thinking if the biology of the mixed bag of races that form demons and angels would be weak against that. Undeads for sure would not.

Even Victoire's poison attacks are magical in nature exactly to ignore those complications.
That just leaves Diarmuid to be officially paired with Felix and I'm all set!

Diarmuid's spears are his.
@KoL: Er... Hoo boy. Well, here we go again.
You subverted problem number 1 but didn't solve it. Just remove that while bounded field mess if it ain't happening in this RP. It's like legacy code in a program: you look at it and remember a past iteration, which is nice for record keeping, but ultimately it serves no other purpose.
Problem number two: Everyone's characters are getting to the starting location by using their own resources. How's an uneducated child who lives on the streets supposed to get halfway across the world to an island in the Pacific?
...
How do you even get in contact or find her to do so in the first place?
Tip: Sometimes elegant, simple histories are the best.

Got it. I guess I'll have to get back to doing it all over again, or doing a completely different character. Whatever works best.

As to answer why I cram the info on magic parameters on my CSs, I guess that the simple answer is because I like quantifiable stuff, it's not really meant to have any practical purpose in first place. That's just personal preference, it's not to create a, ahem... "dick measuring contest" on the RP. Or annoy anyone.

I agree on the simplistic story stuff, really. I'm too used to doing complicated stuff that I kind of forget what passes as real simple. Either way, I'll get either a reworked version of Fried or another character done by tomorrow at most.

That sounds cool! I kinda want Hibiki to be piloting an airplane now. I was also wondering how the transports will be taking us to the battlefield. Will they drop us off somewhere outside the base or can they try to get us closer? I was hoping Hibiki and Shizuka, since they're stealthy units, could get behind enemy lines to help the rest of her team get in.

She sure can have a plane/ship if she wants to. Minor resources such as this are at the disposal of any player at any time. As for deployment zones, the commanding units should determine those, so you can decide between yourselves.
@PKMNB0Y

Here's the edited Fried:

Friederika Nouvelle

Name: Friederika Nouvelle.
Age: 15 years.
Height: 149 cm.
Weight: 44 kg.
Nationality: Austrian.

Personality: Friederika is, for the lack of better wording, a strange girl. She's reticent talking as little as she can when first meeting a person, but will end up warming soon enough, showing her true self. To those who know her true face, Fried is a sweet girl with a sharp mind, but regretful personality.

Abilities:

  • Magic Circuits Number: B
  • Magic Circuits Quality: B
  • Od: A
  • Elemental Alignments: Roses
  • Origin: Roses (Fleeting Flowers Scatter with Beauty)
  • Magecraft: Because of her unconventional magical alignment Friederika is limited to just a small range of magical effects, dealing with the summoning and manipulation of roses as familiars or more directly as weapons. She can do such things as create crushing roses vines wherever she is, as long as they have a solid surface to be anchored to, razor sharp petals, rose vine familiars shaped like a variety of animals, create perfumes that range from hallucinogenic, to aphrodisiac, to neurotoxic, etc.

Friederika's true power is called, Royal Rose Garden "Beautiful Gathering on the Fields of Crimson", a bounded field that act as an amplifier to her powers as well as making any wounds inflicted within its confines be impossible to heal while the bounded field lasts.

Or so she should. Thanks to a lack of formal magical training, Fried can't really exercise her magic in any shape that resembles her true potential, being limited to minor spells only slightly related to her magic, like "talking" with and rejuvenating withered plants, or causing them to grow and bloom at a faster pace. If she truly focuses her powers, Fried can make vines grow as long as there's soil around, but they lack any sort of crushing power.

History: Friederika was born of the forbidden love of a magus from a heretic lineage who fled from their home on England to isolated on the Alps a long time ago and a novice from an abbey close to the village where her ancestor took refuge. However, Fried's birth was not a well received one.

Instead of being born with her family's characteristic Earth alignment, she was born as an aberration with an alignment that prevented her from ever using her family's magecraft, all but dooming her bloodline to death, since it was unlikely that she would ever have any siblings. This earned her a scornful treatment from everyone of her family but a single uncle who had a stunted trained and failed to make it to the family's head and saw on Fried a tool he could use to raise his own power.

Fried was raised on the abbey until she was around ten years old, when her uncle came for a customary visit and abducted her in hopes starting his own magical tradition, even if it came at the cost of even more abuse to Fried. The fact that she couldn't learn any normal magic at all, no matter how harsh she was treated caused the fury of her uncle who didn't knew enough thaumaturgical theory to figure why that happened.

Less than a year later, a bounty hunter contracted by Fried's family outed them from a hideout at Bavaria. The uncle tried to run away once more, but this time he couldn't make it past a magus who didn't cared for the methods he used to get to his quarry. Fried's uncle was killed during the escapade and she taken as dead, but survived by a miracle once the car where she and her uncle where fell on a stream, after the bounty hunter demolished a whole bridge just to get them.

Following that, Friederika has been living on the streets, since she has no where better to go. Occasionally she does odd jobs as a florist, to pay for her basic needs when charity is not enough. Even other street children don't like to be much near her because she's seen as weird and dangerous by the few who can swear that they saw her using magic.

Her fate seems to finally have changed after pretty much stumbling upon the invitation to take part in a mysterious project that has to do with some Holy Grail, or a similar thing. If it's better or worse, only time will tell.

Other: None at the moment.

And with that, Eos officially became a StarCraft player commanding the Terran.

Oh? Someone noticed? That's interesting because the Angel are the Protoss and the Demons the Zerg, obviously some higher ups are playing an elaborate RTS game here.
It's be cool if Eos could do that for Hibiki. Since it seems like everyone is kinda in a hurry, would Eos contact Hibiki and the others as they fly en route or something? Or should Hibiki try and contact Eos first? I can edit it into my last post if that's the case.

Both ways work, but I think that having Eos contact them mid flight will have more of an Ace Combat feel to. Like on those sorties you are in such a hurry that the briefing is issued during the combat. I'll have her do that as soon as @TheWindel posts the battle's OP.
