Asami had prayed all morning, partially because her mother had beaten it into her to do so as soon as she woke up since she was a tiny thing, mainly however because today was the day she had been both itching for and dreading since it was announced to her and the rest of her squad.

The chūnin exams

It wasn't that she thought she was going to do poorly. No quite the contrary, Asami knew she would succeed. It was the fact that she had to exert an amount of energy that she really didn't feel like exerting. Her dreams are to be the best kunoichi of the Leaf - but in her own time and way. Competing against her fellow classmates, friends and randos just put a bad taste in her mouth. If they wanted to test her might

With all the chimes dangling precariously next to one another, strips of paper attached, each one with their own wish and hope and goal Asami stretched to attach the newest and last one; for awhile at least. Once the final chime was fastened securely to the rafters above her, she pushed off the wall, landing gracefully on the ground beneath her, stretching with a content sigh.

"Nyaaaaaaa~ time to go Kuroo," Asami called as she began her trek to the examination grounds, her black feline companion trailing after her chirping at all the birds along the way.

Asami made it to the building in no time, not taking her time like she normally would, she really didn't want to hear it from Yo or even worse Kenshin-sensei. She was already dwelling on the ideas that she caused him too much disappointment the last few days, she really didn't need to dwell on anymore that she could cause him by missing the exams all together. Letting out something that was akin to a growl and a hiss Asami ran her fingers through her hair in frustration, "Kuroo, why should we care? Hmm?" she ranted to her cat companion, who just gave a series of meows in response. "Ya know what, I don't. Yeah, yeah, you're right! We've done well for ourselves. Bury it far, far back and push forward!" And with that final say, Asami squeezed through the opening in the door as silent as her feline accomplice.

When she finally graced the room with her presence she went unnoticed by all though took notice of all that was transpiring. A Sand and Sound nin were being tossed about like they were rag dolls by three other Leaf genin that Asami took to recognizing immediately. A cat like grin graced her features and she shot a look down to Kuroo who kept his eyes trained on the fight before them - on edge if he needed to fight. However, the other three seemed to have it all under control so she lightly grazed Kuroo's frazzled tail and called for him to follow as she searched for her teammates.

'A 'fro and mess of chili colored hair should NOT be this difficult,' she thought to herself as her gaze scanned the room. When they finally landed on the two she navigated through everyone, dipping and dodging everyone as she attempted to sneak up on them both. As she approached from behind Hirameki she picked up on the strong grass scent that coated him, almost like he rolled in it just this morning. A large toothy, cat grin split her face as she jumped on him, leaning her arms on his shoulders. Voice annoying and grating and just very.... Asami. "Rollin' in the grass again, 'Meki? How's it goin' Yo?"

It wasn't like she was late. Psht. OK. It wasn't like she was late on purpose. Arriving back at her alma mater went smoothly - smoother than she expected to be honest. And it wasn't like she was without company; luckily for her Dani was able to sneak away from her busy schedule to travel with Bex in order to help her with settling in as the new Herbology professor. It was still so surreal to the Hex - she didn't think she would get this opportunity.

"I'll catch up with you after my meeting! Promise, we'll head into town and get some fire whiskey~!" Bex called over her shoulder as she rushed down the empty corridors, nearly tripping over herself in the process. Her thoughts repelled her back to the past when she use to run down these same halls, dodging and weaving between talkative students, earning eye rolls and less than pleasant words from frazzled portraits. Though she still received some choice words spoken in huffiness from the paintings lining the walls, she couldn't stop the burst of laughter that came with it all.

There was a shriek of laughter that drowned out her own caused her to slow to a stop and look around for the familiar face. A cockscomb appeared before Bex could see anything else phase through the stone walls of the corridor. She new that hat all too well; having been one of the few students he seemed to take a liking to.

A wide grin split her face as she stood there, waiting for the rest of him to appear, "Ayya there Peevsie! Long time no see!"

It took the poltergeist a moment or two before he finally acknowledged the blonde, inked up woman below him. But once he did that Cheshire like grin took over his features completely and he swooped down to get a better look at her, "My, my, my~ If it isn't my little Hex of a Bex! You're back! Here to cause some more trouble, I hope?" He accentuated his question by poking her cheek before floating upside down.

Bex chuckled and pushed his hand away lightly before starting on her way again, back down the halls. She was really going to be late if she stayed too much longer. Though, she didn't have to worry about him leaving her - Peeves was nothing if not curious by nature. "There's always time for trouble, dear Peevsie~! However, I'm late for a meeting with the Headmaster and the other professors-,"

His entire ethereal form seemed to light up at the words, "Professor you say?! Does that mean my little Hex is going to be teaching here?! Torturing all the ickle firsties with her friend Peeves?" Bex only had time to roll her eyes and smile before the Bloody Baron made his appearance and dragged Peeves away - just not before tipping his head towards her.

As soon as they were both gone she switched gears and began to race down the halls once more, taking corners a little too quickly and nearly running straight into the ground - on more than one occasion. She tried to conjure up exactly where the lounge was that she was suppose to meet the others but she was drawing a blank. If anything, and at this rate, she was going to definitely be late and cause a scene and that's not really what she wanted going into this new adventure. Not yet at least.

Hey eyes caught sight of a familiar looking door and without too much thought behind it and with a lack of grace she possessed, Bex stumbled through the door and into the lounge, falling onto the rugged floor. Thankfully, yes it was the correct room, she discovered as she looked around. However, she wasn't the only one - she knew she wouldn't be. But now, she had eyes on her and it just served to fuel her embarrassment. Hopping up quickly, she dusted herself off, brushed a strand or two outta her eyes and gave a very sheepish smile, "Ayya! I'm Rebekah Bierman, the new Herbology professor. Nice to meet ya."
im here sorry! I'll have something up today

The excitement that was bubbling in her as she continued to type away was short lived once North walked into the room and opened that big mouth of hers. Ash had to keep from rolling her eyes too hard or risk hurting her head. Where did the doc get off telling her what she could and couldn't do, huh?!

She could feel the heated glare shot her way from the doc as she instructed them all to not partake in any illicit drugs for the time being leading up to the actual heist.
"WHAAT!?" Her indignation leaping out, "Ya can't be serious doc! C'mon, that's not even fair, ya know?"

However, no matter how loud Ash seemed to get in volume, Jackie just ignored her, speaking over her like a parent would a child interrupting a conversation. That really pissed her off - though she sat there, clicking away at something on her personal deck, fuming as she shot glares at the doc every so often mumbling under her breath about using her cut for 'something more fun than on the doc's personal shit.'
As expected, Jackie is obviously Ash's foil

what? how so? i feel like if anything they would have intimate knowledge dealing with one another - she has prob overdosed once or twice and the fact she doesnt take care of herself is prob like the bane of Jackie's existence lol
INTERESTED BIG TIME~!
@Trivval CAN DO!

"Aww, babe~ you know we can always cause some mayhem still! Just cause they don't wanna don't mean we can't~!" Ash never got over the exciting chill that raced through her anytime one of the other members of the President's called her by her cyberspace moniker. It gave her a real sense of pride - a temporary high.

Though, Kurt brought up a good point, "Yeah, yeah! What kinda damage are they allowed to do this go round?" She turned her sly grin and attention to Fake, though her question was to Kev - he was gonna be the ultimate vote as to how it was all gonna play out. "Cause - I don't wanna take alllll the fun. I will - but it's not like I ain't gonna be busy enough as is~" she continued animatedly, turning her attention back to creating the heist playlist to have silently thumping in their comms.

Ash mocked a salute as Kev laid out the instructions for the next night. Designated DJ and Decker. A multitude of ideas ran through her mind as she snatched up 13 and began filtering and sorting through the plethora of beats that would rile up the troops for their last run. Ash's eyes lit up like the neon codes she uses on a daily basis as she swiped, dragged, scanned and coded on her personal deck - the swinging of her legs as they dangled from her elevated position only adding to her childlike antics. "One last ride, hm?! Oooh~! This is gonna be exciting~!" Though there was something in the back of her mind that wondered why such a low threat bust.

Ash shook the thoughts away, letting out a holler and a low whistle, having pulled up a second window, "Yo Johnny~!" she nudged him from her spot only leaning over in the slightest, "Seems FCCU does indeed use SecuRanks." Her continued swipes and taps being drowned out by her rambunctious voice.

"Also, also! Their security is basic level shit at best," it was then, as she continued to click away at the screen that her brows began to knit together in confusion before taking her bottom lip between her teeth, "Uhh, this is strange... recently, as far as I can tell, they've implemented a three tiered biometric system on the vault. The only reason that would be in place is if they got some serious scratch locked up!" Her attention now turned to the group around her.
