Personality: Zoie is a bit of a two sided coin when it comes to her personality; at least when it comes to herself. Much of the time she is a very driven person who keeps her goals in sight and is always chasing after them but as she gets closer to what she wants she has a tendency to self destruct. She will start doubting herself and withdrawing from those around her. In the end she will basically destroy any chances she has of achieving her goal. It will take hitting rock bottom for her to get her fire back and start again; only to repeat the process.
When it comes to other though she is rather understanding and can usually see things from all angles and where someone is coming from. She has a knack of getting along with even the most distasteful of people and see the good in them. Beyond that she even is able to bring a diamond in the rough to a better place; rarely is anyone ever worse for knowing her. She just is one of those people that leave the living better than when she met them.

History
Your First Walker Encounter: The world had slowly being going down hill and being in the middle of no where made for an even slower start. Albany was hit a little later than other cities in Ga and Zoie was still under her three day hold when everything finally fell apart. People in the hospital started turning but she was in the lock down ward; at least for a bit she was safe. That was until Billy showed up to "save" her. He was the last person she wanted to see and the two started arguing. A backhand to her cheek sent her to the ground.
As he stood over her yelling a Walker bit into his shoulder causing him to drop the shotgun he had been holding in his hand. Zoie grabbed it and scrambled back. He screamed, begging her to help but she just kept stepping away from him. Taking aim she fired and shot his kneecap. He went down like a drunken prom date and she just stood there watching as the Walker ate him alive.
"Till death to us part..." she said to him before she turned and walked out.
History Before Outbreak: Growing up everyone thought Zoie would become something great. She had everything going for her; she was smart, beautiful and very talented with pretty much anything she did. She could pick up a skill and in no time have nearly mastered it. She had friends, a loving family and was genuinely adored by everyone. Growing up in a small town was great for her, she loved the outdoors. She would go hunting with the guys, bag a deer, bring it home and cook it up. Growing up with the good ol' boys taught her a lot; especially how to handle herself. She learned quickly the difference between White Trash and a Southern Gentleman.
She was well on her way to becoming an internationally recognized athlete by her senior year in high school, having made the olympic team. That is when things changed. She met a man by the name of Billy. He seemed great; football player for the next high school over in Albany, cute, smart and from old money. They pair started dating and everyone figured it was a match made in heaven. They were married the day after graduation; no one thought anything about it. Everyone married a high school sweet heart in the south. It was, for him. For her, the wedding night was the last truly good day of her life for sometime.
It started slow but within a year Zoie was a broken woman and her dreams were in the trash. He killed her spirit, made her doubt herself and eventually had her so far under his thumb that no one would have recognized her anymore if they had seen the truth. But Zoie was good at keeping up a facade. No one suspected and the night she swallowed a bottle of pain killers to try to end the pain for good came as a total shock to everyone but Billy.
An attempted suicide placed her right into the psych ward of Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for a three day hold; which was fine with her. Even though she had failed at death, she at least succeeded in getting away from Billy for three days. As far as she was concerned it was a win. She dreaded going back but who knew the end of the world could be a beginning for some...
History Since Outbreak: The day she got out of the hospital "thanks" to Billy was the day that Zoie found herself once again. Now that he was no longer an issue, she had a fire to live again. Funny how that happens. The rest of the world if freaking out because of Walkers and for at least a moment in her life, Walkers were the best thing to ever happen to her. She ended up heading home, collecting what she needed and then setting the place on fire; burning it to the ground. Tossing her wedding band into the flames before she climbed into 1960's Mustang and driving off.
The first year was not so bad for Zoie, she found some good ol' boys she used to go hunting with when she was younger and along with them and their families they set up a little homestead on an old plantation just west of Albany. Plenty of land to hunt on, not a lot of people to worry about turning into Walkers, room to plant food, water source, old Antebellum home that made for a hell of a fortress, barn with horses, hogs in the land. Life was good for the first year. A walker here and there but nothing huge. That was until a hoard came through and they barely made it out; loosing several in the process.
Year two sucked; more and more died. Either from exposure or Walkers. The once group of twenty was down to three by the end of year two and they had migrated north towards Macon. A run gone bad in an old Piggly Wiggly and there went her last two remaining friends. Zoie didn't know what to do at that point and found herself holding up on the second story in an old town square for weeks; just drinking and basically drinking more to get through hang overs. It wasn't until she fell down the stairs and a piece of hand railing ripped through her thigh that she finally stopped acting like a melodramatic drama queen and got her shit together. She had hit rock bottom.
Self stitching, an infection that nearly claimed her and six months later she was finally back to where things were decent. She was alone but at least she was moving again. She began doing more than just surviving by holding up somewhere. She started living again and set her sights to finding people once again. It was time. The last year she had roamed from town to town looking for people. She has found some but quickly left when she found out they were nothing of what they seemed. Now, she is looking for decent folk; if any remain in this world she has yet to find them.

Zoie thinks the world of "Boss Man," he seems to be a good guy with a good head on his shoulders. Sure he seems out of it from time to time but from what she has learned since her arrival in Newnan, he has reason to be. She feels bad for him and was honestly shocked when he offered her the position of his second but she takes the job seriously and does everything she can to keep Newnan running smoothly for him.

Zoie knew James before all hell broke loose and was shocked when they met back up. She respects the man and just adores him and his cooking. He is just a good old southern gent as far as she is concerned and knows how to get down with the hoe down with the best of them. If Boss Man is busy or out of sorts she will defer to his judgement and his wisdom for advice with things when it comes to Newnan.

Zoie thinks she could be friends with Kristina but it will take time. The girl lost her sister and majorly ticked off the boss day one in Newnan. Zoie plays buffer between the two currently and tries to keep Kris from jumping before thinking; which can be hard with Zoie having to be second in command. The girl seems okay, just needs direction and a bit of a guiding hand.

First impression for Zoie about Ol' Dick was that she was going to have to gut him, then it was that she was going to have to bed him, then it was back to wanting to gut him. Now she isn't sure if she should gut him and mount him on the wall or just mount him. After a little tryst with a certain Viking Chic she tossed him out of her room with his bags in hand. She has barely said two words to him since but the man is persistent and she can't deny she is very fond of him but as she says, "I ain't playing no second fiddle to anyone. Eithers wesa together or wesa apart. Ain't no inbetween if yous wants between these thighs."

"Froggy be Froggy and anyone hurt Froggy gonna get deep fried for dinner."
Victor is one of the few people that Zoie has known for a while, in fact outside of Mr. James, she hasn't known anyone within the walls of Newnan longer. He saved her, she saved him, they arrived together. She keeps things in check for him with the medical division of Newnan and makes sure he has what he needs. He's one of her closest friends and if anything is bothering her he will be the first to know.

Zoie hasn't had a lot to do with Sophia since she came to Newnan. The girl basically arrived with her hand freshly cut off and has had to spend the majority of her time in the infirmary. She sees her from time to time when she is checking on things and getting lists from Froggy but with the way Newnan was when Zoie arrived, it is has been a constant rebuild since that day; so Zoie hasn't had a lot of time to sit by the girls bed. She seems okay but Zoie hasn't formed a true opinion on the girl yet because of all of this.

Zoie isn't exactly sure what to think about Bridgette but the girl knows how to fight and how to fix things, so that is good. She has one heck of a mouth on her that is for sure and more than once Zoie has said she'll pray for her. She doesn't have any complaints though, what needs to get done gets done, even if it does come with colorful commentary.

"The quiet half of the Viking Brigade"
If Bridgette has the mouth, Astrid is the one holding the tongue. The woman doesn't say much but like with Bridgette she gets the job done and is good with training people. She has an uncommon patience but she has a firm way about her, doesn't hurt that she towers over most in the group, even the men. Froggy seems okay with her working in the Infirmary, so as long as Froggy is happy, Zoie is happy with Astrid. Granted things were tense for a little bit after the whole Richard thing but she doesn't hold it against Astrid. Astrid didn't know her and Richard were an item. Richard did, so he isn't reaping because he sowed.

Odd how things work out. Triple B as Zoie calls her is quiet and doesn't say much but when these two get together the gabbing just doesn't stop. Like two hens in a hen house. They tell each other everything and have each others back. If it weren't for the fact that they look nothing alike, talk nothing alike, act nothing alike - one might think they were sisters.

Zoie got an ear full about Neisha from Froggy but she didn't let that color her view of the girl. Granted, she has gotten an ear full from others as well. Zoie doesn't think bad of the girl but she hasn't exactly found the girl to be a warm person. Zoie tries to get through to her but she wonders if her words are falling on deaf ears. She with things calming down around Newnan that Niesha will be able to smooth over some of the problems she has caused.

Zoie won't ever trust Ryan because he was in Eden willingly but she knows underneath it all he isn't the worst person out there. During her time in Eden she knew him as the only one that didn't lay a hand on her. She watched how he manipulated things and in the end she knows he was the one that helped her get out of Eden. Why she has no idea but she doesn't delude herself to believe he did it for her, he had a reason. Ryan always has a reason.
