I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned. Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it. Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. @FantasyChic Can pick it up in the baking section of the grocery store for about 2 bucks. Just need a cap full per bath. It's like using vic vapor rub but without getting all that menythol on you. My mother used to do it for me when I had asthma attacks growing up and I ran out of my inhaler. We lived south ga so a trip to the Er could mean an hour drive, and the phramacy closed like at 6. So we tried everything, this was one of those things that stuck.
@FantasyChic I don't know if you have any but if you have mint or peppermint extract in your kitchen.... Take that to the bathroom, run a hot bath and pour it in. Sit back and relax as you breath it in. My youngest son has horrible allergies. He takes Claritin, Zyterc, and Alegra, plus benadryl - and he is still stuffed up for a couple of weeks each spring and fall. The mint steam is the only thing to clear him out enough where he can get sleep at night and ward off the headaches caused by the sinus pressure.
@The Grey Dust Here, how about this - cut back on the time - and we can let it be reworked for your character that mediation for his spells counts as 3/4's the effect of sleep. So for every 4 hours of mediation he gets 3 hours of "sleep" in there. That would at least take care of meditation vs sleep issues. Then you can cut back on his meditation time, have him come down and see the group and Femnal as they are now. (It's been a little more than an hour with everything.) - then he can go back to it later on. \

@The Grey Dust No, NPC's aren't static, they are just as susceptible to death as any other character and movement. What happens to them helps form what happens to everyone else. He might be able to answer when the time catches up but right now, even I don't know where he will be in two hours. It's all random.
And yeah, you could. It is early in the evening. His meditation could be cut back and he do more over night. But that is up to you. Thing is, can't push forward the rest of everyone's time just for 1 character. It is easier to deal with 1 character adjusting his time than to expect the rest to. (Part of the consequences for time skipping forward.)

@The Grey Dust Well yeah, you don't know where the NPC will be then. For all we could know a roll could end him up dead. Not to mention, how could he tell anything about Njat two hours in the future? If you are going to be anywhere but up in the room it just won't work. People come and go from the tavern. The group could still be talking or they could have turned in. Njat and Chern could be in there or not. It is too much to cover without any knowledge of how to. He has to stay confined and away from everyone until the time is made up.
Only thing I can say is keep with the mediating posts or request an edit to cut down on the time he was sitting there.

@The Grey Dust Okay, cannot interact with characters two hours ahead of time because there is no chance to know where they are at that time. Gonna need an edit on that to clear it out. (It just won't work with them all in the town together.)
