⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

Grimm, Indiana (Tinder House): Alright, now where were we? Oh yes, checking for glowing tiddies. No, her breasts are not glowing, just her hands. As she pulls out the dice object to look it over, it too is glowing in the engravings. It seems that is one mystery solved - well at least the one to why Mali's hands are glowing in a sense of she touched it and now it is rubbing off on her as it were. Why the dice is glowing and her hands in tandem are glowing, well that is anyone's guess. And it leaves a lot of questions. The main one from Adelaide being, "why the hell are your hands glowing?" as she steps back outside and spots Mali before her eyes turn and she watches Robert go running off. "Where the hell are you going?!?!" she yells.

Robert is going to have no problem what so ever rounding the corner to catch up with Zoie. Thing is, this is one of those times he would have wished he failed his roll because it would have kept him from seeing what he saw next. Zoie had run after something dark, like a shadow. Something not fully there but solid if touched and yes one could touch it. Bullets could touch it.And they did but it only angered the creature and before Zoie knew what happened she was yanked up by her wrist. Something dark grabbing it and hoisting her into the air, the gun falling from her hand as more darkness surrounded her neck and cut off her ability to scream. More darkness came. To her other hand, to each leg. Suspended in the air by solid shadows holding her as she gasped for air and a look of terror spread across her features. It was only for a moment as Zoie was ripped limb from limb, neck from chest, and her torso dropped with a thud to the ground, blood soaking the dirt below.

Grimm, Indiana (Outside): Taking a deep breath Alicia turned towards Priya. "Chica, shut up. It kills, bombs are good, talking slows us down," she said in a calm and even voice, odd for her to those that really knew her but it was who she was now. Priya would feel a sense of calmness and understanding as Alicia spoke. (Empathy) It wasn't that Alicia was avoiding questions, it was that there was something more important going on and curiosity could wait. Curiosity killed the cat not because it asked or sought out information, but because it was too busy talking to see death standing behind it. As Cecily gave her what she needed to know she started grabbing things from inside the shed and handed over some of it to Priya before rushing back out.

It was about at that time she too heard the Russian and her brow went up as she continued to run. "That's... fuckin' hell that bitch is getting hers," she said with a bit of smugness to her before rushing over to Cecily and laying things down. "We ain't got a portal, running won't help. It will just catch us," Alicia said before looking at Keystone. "Yes! Exactly! The fucking cat! He is a real asshole and likes Russian.... Mother fucking! SHRODY!" she cursed as she spun around and looked at the building as dark tendrils seems to wrap around where the hole in the wall was, as it it was trying to rip the bricks out and widen the opening so it could get through, the building shaking and rumbling.

Boat (Sun Deck): Vera looked around and her jaw went slightly slack as she stood there. Witnessing the world age in reverse was something to behold even for those that believed in myths and legends. For one that put everything within the realm of logic and reason, it was more than unsettling. Her hands reaching out to the rails of the Sun Deck and bracing herself as she stepped over to them. "What is that smell?" she asked as she took a deep breath in. It smelled of brimstone but there was no sight of anything burning. Off in the distance there was a flash of bright white, like a city where there was not one. A cast of moving shadows seemed to be coming from it.

"Zerzura?" Vera questioned under her breath as she beheld the white city. "It cannot be." While the word Zerzura will ring no bell with those near Vera, the scene itself will seem familiar in a sense to Mosi. Back in the cult legends of Greece was mention of the legendary city of City of Dionysus, lost to the sands of time. A white gleaming city protected by black figures to keep any from entering or leaving. The Eleusinian Cult worshiped Demeter and Persephone. Not much was known, as the cult was just whispers over the centuries.

Athribis (Underground): Nora will be able to navigate the group forward. As she does she will notice in the walls that there are lengths of cut out stone filled with liquid. The low light and darkness seems to flicker as the world is shifting and suddenly from down the hallway, a flame can be seen racing along the side of the wall. The oil has been lit somewhere down the line and is bringing light to our confused adventurers. Mahendra is doing very well helping with navigation. Richard is having issues staying on the straight and narrow as it were and is having to lean against the wall to keep from tripping over debris or his own two feet right now. Reginald is is alert enough but the smell of brimstone is filling his nose. It smells so much like war and death, so familiar.

Gene will not notice it as she will swear she hears some voices. "That should help us for a bit." "I believe we may have something here." "I do have a pack of matches on me we could use as well." Only she hears the voices, faint, so faint, and whether or not they are true, miles away carried through echo, or in her mind, she cannot tell but she feels a pull to continue forward.

New York, New York, USA: November 5th, 1943

Dread chuckled a bit and nodded. "Oh no, thing like that. Parliament is what we call a neutral entity. Neither pro or anti human, just trying to keep the peace between both the living and the unliving so we don't all go belly up," he said. Siduri nearly choked on that last comment and shook her head towards the man. Dread just shrugged as he knocked.

There was an odd reply, the word was simply enough. "Enter" but it seemed to come from more than a dozen whispered voices to add up into one voice. After about a moment, a single voice came through that sounded like a normal male speaking. "Enter." Dread turned the knob and pushed the door open, stepping in with Siduri following and stepping aside. Dread waited, holding the door open for Faith before closing it once she was in the room.

Laying there on a bed in a simple room filled with books and a single chess set on a table was a man. He looked as if he might have been handsome back before. Light hair, well toned, a jawline that went for days. And as long as it was his face that you were looking at he just looked to be a handsome man asleep. That was where the normality ended. From his chest to the bottom of his torso was flayed open, his intestines moving and turning, crawling over each other. Like ghosts almost, bloody internal ghosts that swirled and controlled the mans guts. "Miss Faith, may I introduce you to Parliament," Dread said as he stood there. (Fear Check, roll 1d20 in chat, 15-20 to avoid fear. 5-14 will stand there in horror but be able to contain it. 2-4 you will scream. 1 - you run.)

"Oh yes, Miss Faith. I have heard about you from two lovely Ladies you may know. A Miss Babylon and a Miss Lucas," Parliament said in a chorus of ghost voices that seemed to becoming from his gut. Siduri stood there and turned to look at Faith, waiting and seeing how the girl would react.

Peter took the walking stick back from Sophia once she had tied it off and looked it over. "Oh yes, this should do nicely. Thank you," he said as did. Flexing his fingers he touched the fabric but nothing happened. Groaning Peter stopped levitating above the ground and let his feet set back down. Taking a breath, he gripped the fabric and his hand began to turn red, slowly smoke started to come from the fabric before it ignited. Pulling his hand back slowly he flexed his fingers again as their makeshift torch started to burn. He held it back out to Sophia. "That should help us for a bit," he said with a grin.

Andromeda is handling being there and in these surroundings like a champ. Sure her pulse is up a bit but hey, she is holding her shit together and is able to function normally. Thank god, last thing we need is a lightning strike going off in these closed quarters. Especially now that James has succeeded in changing into Porky. I mean bacon is awesome and all but would you really want to eat James? And while the stopping the torch thing came a bit late, as it came before Gilbert spoke up, it doesn't matter. As Gilbert lights the oil it sets a flame and rips off down the wall. Pools of oil along it lighting up. We have full light people! Congrats! And well we don't need Gio's matches right now but hey they could come into play later. The path is lit. The carvings on the all clear. Gio and Gilbert because of their age and history will be able to read these well enough to find a path through. Between the two of them, and the rolls, by the end of Gilberts next post you will be half way to the Barracks, by the end of Gio's you will be at the entrance beneath the Barracks.

Thana Martin

Location: Camp Mexico Beach: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: N/A

Thana took a breath and stood up, clearing her throat as she flipped through the papers. Seemed this was in her hands now. She had hoped for some R & R once she returned, especially now knowing that Ash and her squad was here but it seemed that would have to wait. Looking up at the whole group, she began. This was going to be an information dump. "As this is yer last day in Quarantine, there are some thangs that need to be explained. Those that both choose to stay and are chosen to remain will be taken out of Quarantine today and assigned a bunk. Those that are either choosin' to leave or were not chosen by CMB to remain will have their initial belongin's returned to them, no more, no less, and escorted from CMB. We do not provide means fer those that are not stayin'; you have been housed, fed, and medically treated for the last week and are in far better condition than when ya entered." That was a hell of a start but it was how it was. They did not provide rations or anything beyond what a person entered with when they left. A weeks worth of food, bed, water, showers, medical care, and recuperation were far more than even Newnan had given people that were just passing through. If anyone expected more, well in the immortal words of a long dead Texan they could suck a cows ass.

"Those that remain need to be aware of how thangs are run here. As ya can see, we are a military run camp. The General, Aeron Martin is the C.O., his word is our law. The only people allowed to carry firearms within the walls are Officers, Safety, Guards, Extraction Teams, Alpha, and Beta Team. Only those who have passed any psychiatric requirements and have passed their 30 day review are allowed to carry simple melee weapons. Only those assigned to specific jobs, duties, or assignments outside of the walls are allowed outside of the walls. We do not allow people to leave without assignment or an approved mission by at least the X.O., First Master Gunnery Sergeant Macsen Martin." Thana paused for a moment and let that sink in. Another thing that was different from Newnan. Not everyone could carry and you couldn't just walk out. Not to mention, you had to pass a review and perhaps more. Though that much should have been made clear over the week as not every member of CMB that came in to help was carrying. Auntie, Cook, no weapons. Even Mizrahi hadn't and when Thana hadn't been on duty she had be relieved of her weapon. The new kid Bass when he came in wasn't carrying. If people thought they would have their weapons back or would be carrying they hadn't been paying attention.

"All current job positions are filled within the community but everyone must work. That being said, everyone that remains will be assigned duty with Supply in their janitorial services to work on the upkeep and cleanliness of the community. This will include such thangs as cleanin' bathrooms, laundry services, garbage detail, and the like. Those with special skills, at the end of their probation period, will be given tests to see the level of their skills and when a position becomes available you will be considered for it." Again, something that CMB did different from Newnan. Newnan had needed people, CMB obviously didn't. Even their medical team was full.

"This is community works fer each other. As long as you put in yer base hours each week you will be fully provided with food, clothin', housin', medical treatment (both preventative and emergency), advancin' education, and community entertainment options. This means 3 meals a day in the mess hall. A weeks worth of sleep wear, work wear, general daily wear at a time. At which you will turn into supply to retrieve another weeks worth. Housin' is in joint facilities. Medical is in the hospital. Education within the Education Buildin' or within certain areas designated for trainin'. Community entertainment options are posted weekly." It didn't look like there was private housing, cook for yourself, or just go off with this place. They were highly organized. And whether new people liked it or not, one thing couldn't be denied, it was working. Five years in and they were self sufficient and standing strong.

"Personal items will be returned but weapons will not, those go into the armory and become part of the general stock for those that carry. Only when and if you are cleared may you seek one again if it has not already been claimed. If one wishes for better housin', more clothin' options, more food, knickknacks, a personal record player, instruments, and so forth you may put in for additional hours to earn CMB credit to buy such thangs. Those who wish for a house of their own, those are only given as a reward for long term service within the community and then you are responsible for power and water to be run to it, paid monthly in additional work. After your probation period is over and if you chose to leave the community at that time you may. As long as you hold debt within the community, you have time remainin' with us. Once any debts are paid, you are free to leave. Once you leave, should ya chose to return, you will start all the way over again." Just like the military. They provided you everything you needed to survive and have some fun on base. Everything else was out of extra you owned. It was free to live in base housing, it cost your own money to live off base.

"Those with prior military experience are stripped of their ranks on admittance into CMB. If ya wish to be part of the military aspect of CMB, you will go through hell week once again and then be given a rank in accordance with your prior rank if it is deemed fit. It not, your rank may be lowered or raised at the discretion of the Operations Officer recommendation, and approval of the X.O. and C.O. Officers are house in Officers Quarters, Enlisted in Enlisted, non-military with non-military, unless otherwise acquired, rewarded, or approved requisition." Thana's eyes went to Ash. If he accepted and was approved, he would not longer be a Captain, at least for now. One had to prove themselves and while it may seem like a lot of officers, for a community of over 300, more officers were needed than one might expect. A Squad had 6-10 people, a platoon had 3-4 squads, company 3-4 platoons, a battalion 3-5 companies, and so forth. So for 300 people a minimal of 12 officers were needed and up to 30 would be used. The fact this was not just a war zone but a camp, a base, having more officers were needed to keep things running smoothly.

"Normally, due to the cost of housin' one for a week within Quarantine, those that are offered to remain and accept, start out in debt with the community and must work time and a quarter to work off the debt fer a period of 30 days," she said as she referred to the file before her. It wasn't a large request. It showed that people were willing to not only work what they had but what they had used. Cleaning up after themselves was not the payment. That was just keeping the debt from rising. Seemed like an easy enough trade. A quarter extra hours each week over a month would add up to 1 full week of supplies- the amount of time they had been in Quarantine. It was equal trade off. Taking a breath she looked up from the paper. "Yet, those that are chosen and choose to remain will start out with zero debt within the community. A donation was made for y'all as a whole to cover your costs." It seemed someone had already taken care of it for the new comers.

"Remember, you are guest here until you prove yerself. Respect is given once ya earn it. You are never entitled to anythang. That ain't life folks. Some of y'all need to be showin' thanks instead of attitude from what I've been readin'." Picking up a start of papers and a handful of pens, Thana stepped out from behind the table. Walking to each of them, she handed them a paper one at a time. It laid everything out she had just stated. As well as an agreement that stated that anyone that accepted would follow the rules and laws of the community as a whole. It laid out general rules and regulations for housing, lights out, bed checks that happened at lights out for the community for those in general housing that occurred at 11 P.M. each evening. What times meals were served. What buildings general public was allowed in - their own housing, the Administration Building (Front reception only unless given passage), supply for clothing and laundry, Medical (Front Reception Only until admitted further), the Church when open, the beach in designated areas, the main walk of the pier but not beneath where food was grown, posted entertainment areas during functional times, and education on appointment or during assigned hours, as well as job locations during assigned job hours. It also laid out mandatory Physical Training daily for members. It seemed CMB wanted people to stay strong, this was a good thing.

"Read through these carefully. Some of you will notice that you will be required therapy until you are mentally fit and cleared. Miss a single session or prescribed medication and it will mean eviction from the community. Trespassin' into areas you should not be, will mean eviction from the community. Carryin' without clearance will mean eviction from the community. Betrayal, subversion, or even what could be considered treason against the community can be punishable by execution," she said as she handed out the papers. That was something Newnan and CMB had in common. Eviction from the community and a chance of execution. "No sentence or punishment is issued without full review of our Officers Council. No one is sentenced without a chance to plead their case. We do not accept 'I forgot' as a plea. Always check before enterin'. If in doubt ask a Senior Officer. No sentence is carried out without a final approval from each head of the concerned departments before passing to the Operations Officer. Then it goes to the X.O. If he deems it correct up to this point it is passed to General Aeron Martin and it is not until he signs off is any sentence carried out. We do not deal out such thangs without heavy consideration." That was something far different from Newnan. This mean that no ones fate was in the hands of a single person. This was a community effort when it came to punishment.

Stepping back to the front of the room, Thana stood behind the table. "This is how it works here. If yer willin' to join CMB, sign on the dotted line and return yer paper to me. If not, do not sign it and you will be escorted out. This is how it has been for every member here. Even those at the beginnin' had to go back through this when it was implemented. Includin' the General. Includin' myself." The last part she didn't have to say but she did anyways. She didn't want anyone to think that because she was a Martin, just because she was the Gunny's Daughter and Maddog's niece she hadn't done her time in hell. That just because she was the General's Granddaughter she hadn't been held to the same standards as the rest. She had and she was glad that she had and proud that her family put her through that. She earned her place. The rest would have to as well.

"Once I have all yer decisions made and papers returned, I will announce who, after heavy review, will be allowed to remain. This is all the information you will receive until you are a part of the community. We do not give any more information until after. Those who are not chosen or choose not to stay do not need to know any more about our community than this. That is the protocol." And that was how she would do it. None would know who got in and who didn't until after they made their choices. Like with the military. You could chose to join and sign on the dotted line but if you didn't make muster they could still boot you. Pulling up her chair she sat down and waited. This was it. Their time to make a choice. Stay or go. Thana had obviously made her choice. She had chosen to remain, in hopes of finding a select few. Now she was in debt and had to work it off. She would. Looking at Ash and her former squad, even though they had found their own way here, she knew it was worth every hour of OT she would be putting in.

"People, if ya can't get on board with this. If ya ain't at peace with it, I suggest ya just leave. It's a big world out there and you all have survived this long, so if we ain't the fit fer ya, go somewhere that is or find a place just fer you to do thangs yer way," she added as she waited for them to hand their papers back in. Nothing more would be done until they had all returned their sheets. Signed or unsigned.

* Special Note: Read all that again, and again. It is a lot to take in. Reference this post if you forget down the line. All papers need to be handed back in to Thana at the end of your next post. Below is the individual notes for Therapy on each applicant to CMB. This does not mean your character was accepted. No one knows who was or was not accepted and no, not everyone is.

Unless you show another PC what is required of your character, only your character knows. These are not posted publicly. Each character is handed their papers, their name at the top. On the second page is theirs and only their psych requirements.

Tatiana Newnan

Location: Camp Mexico Beach: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: Psychology

When Ash started talking to Tatiana she listened. Whatever she had thought he might have needed to talk about, she hadn't expected that. Her jaw going slightly slack as he spoke and then tensing. She was angry. Initially it was directed at him. She felt a little betrayed. Then the anger shifted as her eyes darted over towards Thana. Yet the longer she listened the more that angers direction shifted again and it wasn't towards anyone in that room. There was a huff that came from her but she nodded. She understood what he was saying, why he was saying it, and despite every she agreed with his choice; even if she didn't like it. "I'd do same if vere me," she finally said after a long silence. Swallowing hard she looked over towards the man she thought of as her brother and let out another long breath. That had to be a hell of a nerve racking thing for him to come to her over.

Then again, looking at Thana she found herself understanding the woman a tad more. And it explained a lot that had been missing from the puzzle that was Zoie and Thana. She couldn't blame the woman for the attitude she had the night of the wedding when people brought up Zoie anymore. Hell, there was a small burning rage for the woman now that would have caused her to deck the now dead second in command of Newnan if she had still been alive. Tatiana knew that pain and she wouldn't wish it on anyone. Resting her hand on Ash's shoulder she nodded again. "Ve good, I got this. Go be happy. You earned it," she said before hugging him. Like hell she was going to get in his way after everything he had done and lost for them.

Walking back over to Jack, Tatiana sat down and let out a long breath. "Ve need talk, later, important," was all she said before Thana stood up and walked to the front of the room. It seemed that things were going to be getting under way now. Turning her attention to the scarred woman she listened. It was a hell of a lot of information to take in. Some she didn't like, a lot of it she agreed with. All of it she understood and accepted. This was their home, they had their ways. It wasn't her place to judge or get snippy over it. It worked. People were alive, healthy, and from what she had seen happy. Fuck screwing that up. If she had to tap dance dressed as Bozo the Clown every day she would.

Taking the paper from Thana she nodded. She was slower at reading English than talking but she read it and then read it again. Mumbling slightly to herself as she did. Then she saw the psych requirements for her. Therapy required. That wasn't surprising. Looking over towards the Major she nodded. She had told the woman everything and she did mean everything. Including every last ugly detail of what had happened to her before coming to the United Stated and all the pain she went through on her own while she was trying to keep her son safe. If they didn't require her to go through Therapy she would have been worried. Taking the pen she signed on the dotted line. She was staying if they allowed it. Like hell she was going to intentionally leave. Standing up she walked back to the table and held out the paper to Thana. "I vill make it vork," she said before going and sitting back down.

Wayne Maldonado

Location: Camp Mexico Beach: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: N/A

Wayne found himself laughing as Hank went through the list of observations. Oh he had to agree with him on several of them, hell most of them. There were some observations he had made on his own but he wasn't voicing them right then. And it wasn't because he wanted to keep his mouth shut. He was too busy watching what the hell was going down with the Ballerina and Captain Tight Pants over in the corner. The woman looked pissed as hell but she wasn't hitting the man. So either she was plotting to kill him or her anger was directed elsewhere. It seemed that it might be directed towards Captain Tight Pants woman, or at least he figured Thana was Ash's woman. If she wasn't he better figure out how to get her because just damn. Scared or not, from what he saw of the woman, he'd have to be pretty stupid to let go of a woman who could survive whatever caused that to her face and still smile. Shit, Wayne was crazy but he wasn't stupid.

Speaking of crazy. Seemed shit was about to get crazier. Thana getting up and starting to talk. So they were making her handle this part? Did she normally handle this? Didn't seem like she did. She drug on a little more than her dad did. Then it sunk in. It would be easier for those that knew the woman to hear all this to hear it from her than just some random stranger from CMB. It was a smart move on their part. It was always easier to swallow a hard pill if it was handed to you by someone you knew. Hank was proof of that. More than once Hank had had to figuratively and metaphorically dish out hard truth pills to Wayne over the years. Hell it was easier to hear anything bad if it came from a pretty girl as well, well if you were straight. Wayne chuckled to himself and glanced towards Ash. Shit that woman could have told him to cut a hand off and he probably would have.

Granted, it was a lot to take in and Wayne found himself swatting at the air every so often before grabbing whatever it was from the air and shoving it under his ass. Even if it was a lot to take in, Wayne didn't have a problem. He kind of liked the fact that these people put everyone through the wringer, everyone was accountable, everyone worked, everyone worked out, people were screened. Hell he wished the real world had been more like that before the outbreak. Fuck the second amendment, not everyone should carry a weapon. Some people were not stable enough. Like him. He laughed at himself and the irony.

Leaning back he took the paper from Thana and read over it. Same shit, different words. He had to have therapy? No shit. Maybe he could have his therapy count as Education. Not for him but towards whoever was his therapist. They would be clocking some major training hours dealing with his ass, and his little blue friend. Sighing his name quickly he jumped up and handed over the paper towards Thana before going and sitting back down. He liked it here, he wanted to stay. He wanted to fish and well, he wanted to teach little Ass Kicker how to fish and kick ass. It would be fun!

Standing there Gunny listened to his daughter give the break down of what was going to happen. It was her first time doing this and he could tell. It wasn't exactly perfect, it wasn't completely detached but it wasn't bad. He gave her a nod as she started handing out the papers. The last bit though that she added at the end got a snort from him. Okay, that was her uncle in her showing. Either way, it was done. They had the information they needed, now to just wait and see what happened. See what they did with the information, with the papers, and so forth. He was watching the rest of the group now. Seeing if anyone decided to get suddenly very stupid and try something. His eyes were on several.

And it seemed Gunny wasn't the only one watching. All the guards were. And it seemed each guard as certain people they were keeping closer eyes on. It broke up everyone keeping an eye on everyone. People like Major and Gunny had their eyes on certain people. Roy and Panama on others. Nikki and Thana on even others. As Thana stood back waiting for papers to be returned, each guard was ready. Everyone that was keeping guard seemed to get a lot more serious at this point. Not that Gunny or the Major or even Roy were ever not serious but there was a change in the others. Panama's smirk faded. Nikki stopped chewing her gum and swallowed it. Thana rested her hand on her hip as each person came up to hand up their paper. Sure some people were readers they could tell when someone was going to do something yet sometimes even a person didn't know what they would do in a moment, anyone could turn.

Victor looked over his paper and took longer than most. His pen kept going to the paper and then away from it. It seemed like he couldn't decide whether or not to sign it. In the end, it was hard to tell if he signed it or not. It wasn't until he walked over to Thana and handed it over did anyone know. And then it was only him and Thana that did as she looked down at the paper and then turned it over and laid it on the growing pile. Victor seemed to linger there, looking at Thana and her eyes narrowed. A jerk of her head and he finally walked off. While people were signing the papers, two more came into the back of the room. Bass returned and walked over towards Nikki, leaning against the wall and crossing his arms over his chest as he stood next to her. He was armed now and looked rather thug life standing there. Another came in, only one person in the camp had met the Flamboyant Mexican so far. Code name: Shakespeare. He gave a crooked toothy grin towards Thalia as he went over and took position behind Thana as back up if need.

Amaranthine stood there and waited for Dr. Swamp to come into the room with her. Watching the way he looked around once he entered and gingerly handing over the volume of text once he held his hands out for it. Pulling her hands back she bit her bottom lip slightly as she listened and watched him. It seemed that he was able to at least discern what was on the papers where she was not. There was much she questioned about this evening, even if he was truly a doctor but the way he was able to handle the body and what was held within it. The way he spoke about what he was reading. It lent a heavy amount of truth to what he was. He had to at least be educated in the arts, didn't he? He was better about things than others she had seen in the past and while he hadn't needed to exactly heal anyone as of yet, not that she had personally seen only heard, he was able to instruct her well enough to be able to lend a healing aide to him personally.

Looking around the room she shrugged slightly. "I dare not try to conceive what all could be held within these volumes," she said before looking back over towards Dr. Swamp. "Nor what they would do to us should they find us within these walls and outside of the Laboratory," she added with worry lacing her voice. And it was in her eyes as well, even in the low light of the lantern they had. "We should make haste and either put distance between us and these rooms or return before the other does and discovers our dalliances," she said as she motioned towards the door. Sighing, she would like to know more but above that she did wish to keep her heart beating. Stepping back out of the room she looked around in the Laboratory and waited for Dr. Swamp to join her if he should so chose.

*Remember, roll request can be placed at the bottom of the post and results will be posted in the next update. While the door is open now, it is still dark - so rolls will be needed to move around. Those with low light will get bonuses to moving around and such with their rolls.

Those still in the confinement room are going to have a harder time moving due to lack of light. Those who have moved to the room beyond have a little light coming in from the 3 windows but as it is night and snowing, it is not much. Those with low light do have some advantage as stated before.

Now, for those that called for rolls this last round. Blush is going to have no issue getting through the room and out the door into the other room without issue. Rave, isn't having such a good time. Her leg is stiffened up from stabbing herself, poor thing. So as she goes to stand and move, it will go out on her and make her drop to the floor. She will be able to get back to her feet this round but will take the remaining part of the round to get okay standing again without wanting to drop once again. Moss, will stumble slightly but will manage to keep his feet and be able to get out of the room this round as well.

No one is hearing anything on the floor from other areas in the attic. This is good most likely as it means there isn't anyone else coming up to check on you all as of yet but time is passing and one would think someone would be back shortly. Do note that the rooms are getting colder, quickly now.

Now where Titian is, he is hearing some talk outside of where he is on the second floor now and he isn't wanting to stick around and listen. It is getting colder and he would much rather be somewhere warm. Save finding a woman to curl up to he opts to see if going down another flight of stairs could pay off in that. Slowly, he moves, step by step to ensure he doesn't trip and fall. He has gotten this far without knowingly being detected and he would like to keep it that way. Refusing to fully lift a foot as he goes down the stairs, he lets them feel along to the edge of each step once again before lowering it to the next. And while doing this keeping his hands against the walls to catch himself if a bad situation starts to get worse.

Thankfully, to him, he does manage to get down another set of stairs and into a lamp lit room. Though it is only an oil lamp left in the room and not one of the wall gas lights. He still is not seeing any signs that the gas is working again. But he ain't complaining about where he turned up. The room has some warmth to it and it smells wonderful. Looking around he finds he is in the pantry. "Food," he whispered under his breath as he reached out and picked up a wrapped bundle. Opening it to find bread. Placing some in his mouth he chews and looks around some more. Hey, if one has a chance to fill the hump, one does just that. For all he knows this is his last fucking meal. Oh hey, cheese and fruit. Jackpot. Now, where's some wine?

Scotland

Gretna Green (Church): Millicent looked over towards Colette and shook her head. She didn't have anything like that. She had the sword she was gripping, another weapons sure but it was the same that Colette was carrying. Then she had an idea. Reaching under her skirt she pulled out one of the throwing daggers she had just been gifted from Vlad. It was evenly weighted and had a finger grip at the end. Handing it over she pointed to one of the curtains, more specifically the rope used to tie it back into place. "Rope dart, would that work?" she asked. It could, easily. Millicent wasn't trained in Kung Bafa but she knew of the skill and had seen others train in the skill when she herself was training in China. It would be a make shift weapon but that was the beauty of it. The Rope dart was meant to be one that could be easily made and concealed. The whole was greater than the parts.

Veta finished her song and looked towards Constantin. She could not carry the song another round. Not after putting so much to ensure that Ludwig was not turned into a soulless. "Front rov have best seats," she teased. At least she hadn't lost her sense of humor, or maybe she had as it was probably not the best time for her to be cracking jokes. Especially since once Vlad read the creature and discovered it had a soul, the created cried out, like a demon and one of its dark whisps that might be an arm moved, landing against the Russians chest and sent him flying across the room and crashing into one of the pews. "Vlad!" she yelled as she stumbled to her feet and rested back against the alter. Her eyes narrowing as her hands rose. "Vyzov," she uttered under her breath, calling on aide from elsewhere.

The creature though was not paying attention to Veta. Its eyes, or what might be thought of as eyes, turned towards Virginia. It jumping down from the back of the church and landing against the front pews, they splintered and cracked and shattered under the weight. Wisps of the black and darkness turning red. Virginia is ready for it and has rolled well this round, as did William. Constantine will be able to deflect the splintering wood from hitting Veta this round. Ny reaches into his his jacket and pulled out a small dagger. He throws it towards the creature but misses. Taking a step to the left, he makes a gesture with his hand and it returns, tearing through one of the creatures limbs before landing back in Ny's hand. The creature looks like it is about to charge.

Grimm, Indiana (Tinder House): Now, why Mali was glowing was hard to say. There was a reason but that reason takes a lot of information she just didn't have. Though she did know something about history so there were a few things she could put together and thankfully they would come to the forefront of her mind right then. Many older artifacts were made from materials that could be considered toxic. Just look at lead make-up from the 1700's. Shit could make you glow and well she had had her hands on something old recently had she not? Or was it still on her? A certain multi-sided object that kept popping up. Well fuck, Mali might just be radio active and not in the Imagine Dragons way.

Now Robert is faced with his own little problem right then. Just how can a car run on it's own. Now Law isn't a big player here but there have been lawsuits filed or more on the nose insurance claims claiming that their car just malfunctioned. Nine times out of ten these are bullshit but sometimes they are true. A gear shifted, a transmission fucked up, the accelerator stuck. But still there is a driver. But this is 21th century. Remote control is out there. So sure, some fucker could have rigged the car to drive on it's own. But that doesn't explain the blood....

Zoie was still tearing after whatever the hell was it she saw. Rounding the corner and going out of sight. What was happening was anyone's guess but shots were fired. That much was for certain.

Grimm, Indiana (Outside): Alicia stopped and spun around. "Yes, I know. No, I don't have time to explain. Are you people always this talkative when shit is hitting the fan?" she snapped before looking back at her father. Who the hell were these people and how the hell were they still alive? All this talking, all this demanding. Alicia's empathy wasn't exactly there right then. She knew they were scared but she didn't have time to think about that. It would suck if one of them died but then again... Maybe it would help her find someone she really wanted to see right then. Someone stronger than her. Someone who had been around a lot longer. Someone who had dealt with this shit a lot more.

Roy looked at Cecily. "I don't fucking know!" he said as he tried to wipe his hands down his pants. It was like trying to remove red dye from your fingers, it wasn't going to come off just by rubbing. "Hell yeah girl, build a bomb. I'm all for it," he said as he looked over towards the building and it shook as another roar came from it and smoke trails started to billow up from some of the cracked windows. One could swear they heard a woman scream out in Russian. O.o (Yeah you heard me. Russian woman screaming.)

Alicia looked around the grounds. "Think you can do something with that?" she asked as she pointed to the car that Roy and Cecily had come in. Looking around some more she spotted the grounds shed. "Fuck, bet they have chemicals in there," she said as she started pulling weapons out, opting for a rifle and loading it before running towards the shed. She glowed slightly as her eyes glassed over and Cecily would feel the woman in her mind. What am I looking for?" she said in her mind. Cecily would see what Alica was seeing. Send dream? Day dreaming counted.

Boat (Sun Deck): Poor Mosi isn't finding anything that lends to why the hell any of this is happening. Well save why the doctor fainted and that is pretty obvious. The man just can't handle the shock of watching someone heal suddenly in front of him. Who knows, maybe his lack of medical skills is making him feel impotent.

Vera looked towards Josephine and quirked a brow. Just what in the world was going on. Reaching out slightly she stopped herself as she noticed that the pendant she was wearing was beginning to glow as well. Turning it over she quirked a brow. "What hocus pokus is this?" she asked confused as she ran her fingers over it. Her head snapped as she heard the noise and started to move slowly, stepping onto the Sun Deck and spotting what was happening. "This cannot be good," she said but it wasn't about the doctor. She was looking out over the water. Over the sands. The sands were falling away and the land was starting to push up reeds and grass. How the Nile would have looked thousands of years ago.

Athribis (Underground): Nora is easily able to manipulate the statue so that it falls into place correctly. Turning the head in one direction, the collar in another, and so forth. As it lines up, those around won't understand but it follows the angle's points to where other cats of the same design seen in the underground would line up. Head to head, collar to collar. It's all in the patterns. In the larger picture it is actually rather basic but putting it together was something else. The wall shifts and starts to open. The smell is more intense as the door opens but still nothing to see on the other side. It seems clear and dark.

Gene, oh Gene. Know that little download that happens from time to time with people like Gene? Yeah, focusing she is getting this has happened before. Or maybe it will happen in the future. Or maybe it is actually happening right now? Or all three at once. With others, in a time and a place where it looks like things are dying around them. Like it is fading away and life is being drained from a summer to a winter. Where as things around you all? Why is the underground starting to look less worn? Why is the flakes of paint remaining from centuries ago starting to fall back into place? Why is this dig site starting to look like it is being newly renovated?

Now, Richard is pretty damn sure they are in danger but here is the kicker - Everyone heading back the way they came. When that wall opened, you are stopped in your tracks. The way back is no longer available. It seemed as while one door opened another closed further back. There is no way to go but forward. Yes, my darlings, run run run to the danger!!!

New York, New York, USA: November 5th, 1943

Dread looked over towards Faith and chuckled. "Everything's relative. One persons apocalypse is another's paradise I guess you could say," he said with a shrug as he looked around and kept walking. "Though, all things considered, until the world actually comes to the end of the line, we'll just keep labeling times The Apocalypse until it actually happens and then, well it won't matter anymore."

"That's only if you go with the biblical definition and well I find that whole second coming story a bit dated. We could call the Black Plague an apocalyptic time, it was massively destructive. As was the stock market crash of 1929. But yes, I will agree, it is all relative," Siduri piped in as they walked.

"Nothing that I am aware of," Dread said towards Faith as she asked about Parliament. "He just knows you were coming to seek him out, so he's extended an invitation."

"Parliament is what we call a Unique in these times. While they are many Kindreds of a certain types, there are a few out there that are one of a kind. Parliament is one of these. He just, well seems to know things. A sixth sense on these matters. Very much like your Cards Emendator but with a bit more clarity on situations and far less Poker Table feel," Siduri said as they made their way into the Deadlight District. It was much as it was the first time Faith was shown this world, just more 1940's than 1980's. Complete with Freddy at the back door but looking a bit younger and wearing a Zoot Suit instead of his Elvis one. Elvis wasn't around yet.

"Hey Miss Siduri welcome back," he said as he opened the door for them. "Dread," he added as he waited for them to enter. "Little Lady," he finished towards Faith, not knowing her yet of course. Inside where it had been a den for 1980's punk and metal was now a Jazz and Blues club, heavy with smoke in the air. Phil was behind the bar cleaning a glass, looking just as he had. Zombies didn't exactly age, backwards or forwards.

"This way," Dread said as he moved to the club. The door was marked private. Last time Faith had gone through this door shit got real. Yet instead of going down the hallway and heading down, they were going up this time. "Just try not to let the sight of Parliament get to you. It can be rather disturbing your first time."

Gio is going to know that they will have a good stash of weapons in the base. From swords to guns. As well as explosives. After centuries of doing this, he will know that distance weapons are good for keeping the Destruere at bay and explosives work best to get them either dead or gone. They need something big to take these things out if they are hunted down. People don't usually do well when it comes down to an up close battle with them. Then again, they couldn't see them before, now they might and it might change things. Also, Gio will know that since this is a British Base, they might have access to vehicles if they can get their hands on one.

Gilbert is keeping an eye out but everything seems clear and he is going to be doing well to remember the direction to go to get them where they need to be in reference to what would be above them on the street level of the city. After about ten minutes in the underground he will finally find where they oil wells are and they look good enough to be of use. This is good because whatever natural light there was is nearly gone and it is going to get dangerous if they keep going. Granted danger is always around but last thing someone needs is to fall into a hole and poof into a fog. >.>

James is going well at keeping alert. Being able to help people and lead them through the tunnels as the light starts getting darker. While he is going along, he is going to remember that as a Wild Boar his eye sight is poor but in dark light it wouldn't really matter and his senses, including a natural danger sense are much higher when he is oink oinking it away. It might be something to think about. Or at least ponder if they hit a dead end. A hog at full tilt has a better change of getting through a dead end than a grill master. Just saying.

Peter while in the middle of all this, keeps moving forward. He is using his levitation instead of walking at this point. Keeping himself above the ground. It is making for faster travel than trying to walk on his leg. Sure the walking stick he has helps but all things considered, why walk when one can fly? Granted this isn't flying per-say, more like hovering above the ground for now but it will do and since there is no just plain humans around to yell witch he is just going to stick with this for now. "If you find me something to burn, I can shed a light on the situation," Peter says holding up a hand and letting it glow a bit before letting it die out. "Yes, your cress would burn well, perhaps use my walking cane to create a torch?" he suggested holding it out to Sophia.

Thana Martin

Location: Camp Mexico Beach: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: N/A

Thana kept writing, she was zoned in on what she needed to do. There was something calming about doing the paper work to her. It was like a trip back to how things were before the world went to hell in a hand basket. Just focus on the paper work, go through things logically. Remove emotions, remove feelings. Paperwork is paperwork. Sure she knew that what she was writing would be used, alongside many other things, to help determine who would stay and who would go. But to her, this was more like what she would need to do before the promotions board would meet. It wasn't her final say. She just needed to state the facts. Nothing more, nothing less. She wasn't a people reader like her father. She didn't look at what someone was and try to see what they could be. No, she took things at face value. What was right before her. She did the equations in her head. Two plus two equals four. That was how she decided things. Hell that was even how things started with Ash in her mind. And in the end, it would be her determining factor if they continued.

Looking over as Ash came back she took the coffee and salt. "Thanks," she said as she put a pinch into the coffee and swirled it around. It was just something that Navy people did, went back to being on ships and in submarines. It just kind of stuck. It was like the paperwork now. A throwback to times soon forgotten by the rest of the world. The Commander downed about half of the cup before setting it down and going back to writing. She was quick about things. She had to be. Her father needed these to review and then they would go to the General. By the time Gunny came in to pick them up she was closing the final file. Cracking her knuckles after she did and tucking a loose piece of hair behind her ear. Leaning back on the couch, she picked up her coffee cup and downed the other half of the contents. That was done, now just to wait.

Tatiana Newnan

Location: Camp Mexico Beach: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: Psychology

Tatiana took Jamie from Jack and set him down on the floor, letting the baby feed himself as best he could. It was messy and smeared around more than actually eaten but he needed to work on fine motor skills, doing things for himself. Sure he was baby but that didn't mean she had to coddle him. Tatiana was all for letting him learn on his own as much as he could. And since she was right there, there was no real harm. Sure some food fell on the floor. Sure he shoved it into his mouth anyways. The boy would need to form an iron stomach by the time he grew up. There were far worse things to have to eat in this world than something within the five second rule. Or hell even ten or twenty second rule. Tatiana remembered eating far worse when she was little, and that was before the outbreak. Back when she was a refugee. Things hadn't changed that much. Instead of war, it was Walkers. They were all refugees.

Looking over at Jack, Tatiana scanned the room. "1Они решают, кто останется, но что-то еще," she said motioning towards Ash as she placed her fork down. She could tell by the way he was looking at her, the way that things seemed tense over where Ash and Thana were sitting. She could read something was off. "2Смотреть Джейми," she added as she stood up with her cup of coffee and started walking over to where Ash and Thana were sitting, the new guy sitting near them. Drumming her fingers along the side of her cup, she took a sip as she came over to them and tilted her head to the side. "3Хорошо, что происходит?" she asked towards Ash as she motioned for him to come with her for a walk to a more private area of the room. Turning, she didn't wait for an answer, she just had this look on her face that clearly read if you have something to say you might as well spill it now as she walked over to the back of the room. Away from ear shot of the others as she sipped her coffee.

Wayne Maldonado

Location: Camp Mexico Beach: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: N/A

Looking over towards Hank, Wayne chuckled a bit and nodded. "Big one, little one, don't care. We'll figure it out. We've gotten this far. Not worried. We'll either make it or we won't No point is stressing shit. Just leads to worry lines and like hell I am messing up this beautiful mug of mine. I mean it's too late for you but hey, we can't all be as smexy as me," Wayne said with a smug look on his face. Grinning like an idiot as he struck a few facial poses fit to break any camera. Wayne didn't care really about living or dying. That much was clear to anyone that had known the man more than five seconds. He ran head long into any situation where he might die. He'd read this story about some crazy British Officer once that kept trying to die. The man didn't want to die, he just wanted to die right. Wayne was like that. Okay, well maybe he was a little after death, like he had a crush on it but over the last week it was more like if he died so be it but he wasn't chasing it as much. The kid had had a positive effect on him.

Wayne sat there, eating and looking around the room. Noting how many guns there were, how many people. The kid was shoving food into his mouth off the floor and Wayne chuckled. Reminded him of himself when he was drunk. Or at least the times he was drunk enough to be drunk but not so drunk to drown out all memory. Swatting at the air before taking another bite he quirked a brow as he heard Hunter talking. The kid wasn't exactly trying to be quiet in the room. Not that he was shouting but the room was small and the kid just seemed to want to put people on edge. Yet Wayne didn't waste his time trying to read the boy, didn't exactly need people reading skills to know that kid had just as many screws loose as Wayne did. Shaking his head he watched Tati walked over to Ash and Thana, say a few things in Russian, and then walk off. Oh now she had something on her mind. Sure he didn't speak Russian but the look on her face spoke wonders to him.

Nikki looked over to Hunter and waved back. She was about to go over to him and try to talk to him but Major put a hand on her shoulder and shook her head. "Don't," was all the Major said and Nikki grumbled under her breath but she nodded and did what she was told. Or in this case, didn't do what she wanted to do and just took a post. Though when she heard Hunter talking she tilted her head to the side. "Only people that deserve to have a gun pointed at them get one in their direction," Nikki quipped as she stood there and crossed her arms over her chest. Chewing her gum she popped a bubble and kept chewing as she sucked it back into her mouth.

Mizrahi turned his head in the direction of Nikki's voice. His brow going up as he turned his head turned when he heard the door. Then the doors opened and Gunny walked in with another pushing an empty cart behind him. The man looked to be in his early to mid twenties, mixed race with bright green eyes, 6'2" in height and probably around 170lbs. He was built well, cut but didn't look military that was for sure. He wore jeans and a tank top; which showed off a heavy amount of tattoos that spanned from his neck to over both hands. Ears and brow were pierced and his hair was closely shaved. "Bass, collect the files," Gunny said as he walked over to his daughter.

"Sure thang boss," the man said. It was rather clear why he was called Bass (pronounced like the instrument, not the fish). The mans voice was deep, like smooth molasses, with a heavy southern twang. Walking over he started picking up the files and loading them onto the cart. "Ma'am," he said towards Thana with a nod. Gunny took the file that Thana had been writing, opening it and looking over it as Bass loaded everything up. "Sir," he added with a nod towards Mizrahi.

"Bass," Mizrahi said with a returned head nod.

"Same recommendations as Maddoc," Gunny said towards his daughter and nodded. "Will get these to the General. Thank you Commander," he said as Bass finished loading up the files. With that Gunny and Bass left the room.

Over the next couple of hours there was a lot of coming and going. Guards being brought out and brought back in. Preacher came in and did a prayer with those that wanted it. Chores were taken care of. The second meal came in. Doc came in and let Thana and Mizrahi their blood work was clear and they were cleared of Quarantine now. Word that the cat got out after attacking Daytona but they were looking was there as well. The Dog was fine and adjusting well. Mizrahi left as soon as he was cleared, after having a few private words with Thana. She shooed him out. She was fine without him it seemed, she had Ash close by if she needed someone to help her get around.

It was a little after 1300 hours (1:00P.M. for civilians) when Gunny came back in and handed over to file to Thana. "You're up," he said as he handed it over to her. Pulling out a handful of pens, he handed them over as well. Once Thana had taken them he walked to the back of the room and leaned against the wall with Major. All during this time, Hank would be able to read these people like 1st grade See Jane Run book.
