⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

Amaranthine nodded towards Swamp as she began to check the two remaining doors. The one on the east side of the room that was most south yielded nothing. She couldn't find a key to work in it. That did not sit right with her, if she was correct it was one at the front of the house and went east. The only one left was the south most door that faced the front of the manor. Taking a breath she walked over to it and started to try the doors. Considering the north most door hadn't had a key to it she had little hope that this one would have a key on the ring she was carrying. Thing was, she was wrong and the key was there. It was about the forth she tried but it opened. "Doctor, it seems we have one more door that we can go through, but where does it go?" she said. It was a bit of a question but more so a question to herself than to him specifically.

There was a window at the far side of the room as she peaked her head in, which gave just a little bit of light. It wasn't much but it was far more than they had had without it. "Doctor.... You may want to see this..." she said as she stepped slowly into the room. She couldn't see well and had to keep her wits about her and her feet planted firmly but moving and looking at the wall where she can come in through she spotted something she hadn't been expecting. Books, shelves and shelves of books. Old, worn, books. "I don't understand, what written word is this old?" she asked, once again more to herself than to Swamp as she pulled one from the shelf and opened it. The writing looked as old as the manor. "I am afraid I cannot read this," she said as she turned around and held the book out. Amaranthine couldn't read well, she knew a little, her name mostly some other things having to do with her trade and profession, some basics but this was far beyond her.

Alright, those in confinement.. Congrats! You have an open door. Well a door off it's hinges right now. Either way, it means you finally have an exit to the room. It is the south most door. Not the one you came in through but the one that some have assumed that Titian left through. There is the faintest bit of light in the room beyond it from three windows on the other side of the room. Though it is snowing and dark outside, so not much light is coming through. The light will not really make any difference for those in the Confinement room, so will need rolls to move - as of course there are people in that room, a turned over bed, and pillars to get around. Those right by the door will be able to leave the room and see inside the new room, but faintly. There is a closed door to the left and the right end of the rooms.

There was a faint glimpse of a shadow that moved passed the doorway where Titian was hiding but it kept moving. Thing was, he opted not to move out into the hallway. He could still hear voices, it wasn't safe. Not in his estimation. Sure he could probably over power someone from the staff. Quinton could give him an issue, so could the man without a tongue but others he had seen he didn't believe he would have much problem with. He was after all Kliment Lothaire. He was tall, dark, handsome, and fucking awesome. Granted that was just his opinion but his opinion of himself was by far enough to keep him thinking well of himself. Those that didn't, well they just couldn't handle a gem like him. Oh yes, he was fabulous. At least in his own mind and well his own mind was the only mind he really had to live with.

Turning he went back to the stairs. Instead of going up, he went down. Screw going back the way he came from. Sure, he wasn't the brightest candle flame around but he wasn't stupid. Okay, maybe he was but he wasn't dropped on his head as a small child. Okay, well there was that one time. Anyways, he just knew it wouldn't be a good idea to go up, so he chose down. Carefully he went down the stairs, feeling around the walls and letting his feet trace each step to the edge and push down along the wall until they hit the next step. Like hell he was going to bust his ass and get anyone's attention because of it. He was large and that paid off many times, falling was not one of them. It made him louder than others and with everything going on he was sure that anyone that caught the sound of a 200 pound man hitting the stairs and tumbling down would come running, probably armed. Nope, take it slow and he did. Reaching the second floor without issue.

Gretna Green (Church): Millicent didn't know what she was seeing or what was going on but having Virginia there with her put her at ease, as much as she could be right then. Her friend that had calming effect on her. The fact that a new friend also decided to show up was a bonus in her book. Taking a deep breath she kept her eyes on the rafters and parted her lips. "I ran, his face, it changed. It was as if it was a candle made of wax and began to melt," she said towards Colette about Rutherford. It was truth, as far as she knew. "A face I hope to never see again," she added. "I know not what is happening." She didn't have a clue but Virginia seemed to be happy to see whatever it was that the Grand Duchess was dealing with. Tilting her head to the side she nodded. "You truly find beauty in the most unlikely of places my friend. If only to see the world through your eyes," she chuckled. Virginia had her own ways and Millicent was never one to have a problem with them.

"Ah! HA! Yes, wonderful, truly stunning! Death plays us all like a puppet on a string and yet she just called death. Oh yes, fine fine, lovely," Ny chimed in. He seemed to be having as much fun with all this as Virginia was. "But yes, enough idle talk," he agreed with Virginia as he reached into his pocket. "I do believe it shall only chase us should we run." The streets last known to some had a man with a face melting and people running amok. (AMOK AMOK AMOK!) At least this was holy ground. But did that matter?

The Thing in the rafters seemed to crack the rafters but it did not attack, not yet at least. Yet it did move. Leaping down and landing against the stain glass window at the back of the church behind the alter. Veta's head whipping around and following it as Constantine made plea to leave, he would be able to stay on top of things this round and thankfully for William, this creature was beyond not being noticed at this point. Veta was about to speak against leaving when Vlad spoke. That was her uncle for you. Ever ready to face anything, with flair of course, and perhaps even on fire. "Yes, ve stay, ve fight," she agreed as she slowly pushed herself up. She was wobbling but thankfully Constantine was with her and she leaned against him. Straightening herself she looked at Vlad and nodded. He had an idea and she was picking up on it. "Da! Tatushka and Mamushka. Vlad, Chteniye Dushi," she called to him. It was a chance to learn something. Looking towards Constantine she rested a hand on his shoulder. "He must have my full focus, you vill have to protect me," she told him. Yes she could do other things while she performed the Tatushka but if she did nothing but focus it would do so much more for Vlad and he was the one that would have to get close.

Taking a step forward, Elizaveta stood perfectly still and let out a long breath before her lips parted and she began to sing a song from back home. "1Iz med ju nas, iz med ju ne ba. Uviyek gori vatra lyubavi. Dusha u syayu, puna snage, vyechni plam. Nada u budutye, novi dan. Kad bi svi lyudi tsiyelog sviyeta. Znali da dyetsi treba mir. Dusha u igri, puna snage, u slobodi. Nada u budutyi miran san. Let ye let, i pad ye let 'C'est la vie, mon ami' U syayu ye liniya neba i nas. Tuga sviyeta ne gori, neka lyubav se vodi. I pad ye let, naday se, mon ami. U dalyini vidim mirno more. Vriyeme proshlo, vriyeme budutye. Nebo puno syaya od pogleda, vyechni plam. Spomyen dyetinystva i miran san. Kad bi svi lyudi tsiyelog sviyeta. Znali da dyetsi treba mir. Dusha u igri, puna snage, u slobodi. Nada u budutyi miran san. Kad se pada, postoyi nada. 'C'est la vie, mon ami' Sve tye to jednom prekriti sniyeg. Moya dusha ne gori, neka vyechnost se rodi, Let ye let, i pad ye let, mon ami. I pad ye let, naday se, mon ami. It would have the desired effect, (As Veta rolled an 18 for the Tatushka.) and Vlad will be able to perform a Mamuska like he never has before. (For Vlad pulled the Nat 20.)

Grimm, Indiana (Tinder House): Adelaide keeps trying the phone but there is no cell service and the landline has been cut. "I hate this town..." she muttered under her breath before slamming the phone down. Oh how nice it is to be able to slam a phone down. It is so much more satisfying than just the typical push a button and it hangs up. Robert in the mean time will get over to the crashed car. Thing is, soon as he opens the door, he is going to find there is no driver. There's blood but no driver. So the car just drove itself into a fire hydrant and bled itself? Things are starting to get really weird.

Zoie hears a scream as the haze starts to get a little thicker. About a block down from the Tinders place and sees some sort of shadow cutting behind a house and a woman standing there terrified screaming as she stands there. There is a heavy smell of burning in the air. Checking her gun, she starts walking in the direction she saw the shadow go around the corner, keeping it pointed down but ready to fire. "I hate this fuckin' town..." she muttered under her breath. (It seems to be a running theme)

On top of all this, growing plants seems to be fading away to what it would look like after a long drought, everything is dying - not fully dying mind you - you don't get to witness it wither and die. It just kind of fades like a movie scene from living to dead. Leaves to just stems, brittle. Green grass to winters pale taupe.

Grimm, Indiana (Asylum Stairs -> Outside): The group manages to get the hell out of the Asylum but the sounds from inside are growing and as you step outside, it doesn't look like it did. The place looks more like a desolate wasteland now and there are leaves on the trees. Everything has already turned from green to nothingness. Roy steps outside and looks around. "How long where we in there?!?" he asked confused as they went in there and it was all pretty green before.

Alicia looks over towards Priya. "A Paradox," she said before tearing off outside. Soon as she hit the outside she looked around and then ran after her dad. "Shit, even I don't know that. Just know they rip things much stronger than me limb from limb for sport." she answered honestly. It was one of those things she had been taught to stay the hell away from. Rushing over to her dad. "Fuck that, C-4, please tell me you brought C-4 Papi," she said before her head whipped around as the building started to rumble and one could hear the door to the stairwell slam off its hinges and then about a split second later come out the side wall of the building.

Boat (Sun Deck): The doctor finished pulling out the last stinger and nodded. "Thank you, I will consider it," he said as he finished up. Making sure to check that where he had pulled the stingers out where clean. Thing was, as she sat there, the stingers, stopped stinging. In fact, they started to heal. The doctors eyes widened and he wasn't sure what to do. Was he seeing things? Had he seen this before? Before his mind could wrap around that though, all the wounds healed and he fainted. Again. O.o The man hit the deck with a rather loud thud.

Boat (Elite Room): Vera nods and points. She knows the layout of the boat well enough. The woman is a quick study and tend to spend a lot of time taking in details. She has to, since she is constantly tripping over her own two feet. Imagine how bad things would be if she didn't take the time? Yeah, it ain't pretty. The group will make it to the Elite deck stairs no problem and will hear a loud thud from the Sun deck about the time they get there. Reddish will notice Josephine taking on a bit of a glow, is that afterglow? Oh my! LOL

Athribis (Underground): Where there is smoke there is fire. Or maybe not. Nora will figure out just exactly how to turn each part of the carving to get it to open safely. She is sure of it, 100% sure. Now the question is, should she? Gene isn't really going to be that persuasive this time to the group as a whole if they weren't straight up convinced. In fact, she sound a bit batty saying certain things. Sure some might believe her but the skeptics sure wouldn't. Reginald is ready for battle and will notice any around him glowing or items glowing.

Something New: Oh my, that was a short update wasn't it? Well, that wasn't everything. You see. Anyone with the dreams is going to start having them play through their minds once again, with a new little item in the mix, the dreams are in haze now as well. Those with items that had an emblem come about? Yeah, that's starting to glow. Those with brands - They too are glowing now (They are not burning you this time but they are glowing.)

New York, New York, USA: November 5th, 1943

Dread quirked a brow as he looked towards Faith. "Sup," he said with a bit of a smirk. "Let me guess, she's partied passed 1999?" he asked looking over towards Siduri. Siduri nodded slightly. "Paradoxes, here, now? Not surprising, the haze has begun in this time as well, it just hasn't reached us yet," he told Siduri quietly as he motioned for them to follow. "Babylon isn't here, she is aiding another," he said.

"That is unfortunate," Siduri said before nodding towards Faith and motioning for her to follow. "Come, we are safer with Dread than alone on these streets," she added in a quiet voice.

"I can take you to Parliament, he is expecting you," Dread said but he wasn't looking towards Siduri as he spoke, he was looking towards Faith.

"What of Golgotha?" Siduri asked as they walked towards the Deadlight district.

"Been called for Faction meeting, something is happening and we are closing ranks," he told her. Siduri nodded, something was indeed happening but if the haze wasn't with them yet, just how long until it reached them? New York wasn't the most peaceful of towns normally, such a haze would create chaos. Sooner they were done and away from the city the better.

Down in the tunnel where Gilbert was trying to figure out what to do he wasn't seeing exactly what he needed but he was remembering the way they used to do it back in his day. Oil. Serves of oil in places that were connected, along the walls to sections where it would pool up. Light one place and it spread and kept constant light in the darkest of places. That, and mirrors. Thing was mirrors were not around to get them to the deeper areas where the oil lighting system would be. They would need to find another way to light the darker areas until then. Fire, fire was always good. Someone needed to start a fire. There was one person, if he only would return that could do that.

James will be able to pick up a few items, mostly food along the way and some water skins from places along the way that were abandoned. At least the group can eat now.

Peter keeps up with James and moves though with everything going on, as soon as they are out of sight of people and back towards the edge of the fort, Peter starts levitating some from the ground and moving that way. He can move far faster and without stress on his leg now. Setting himself down at the group he nods a bit and looks around. "Yes, most unfortunate that we could no procure weapons but if we can get into the base, we should be able to acquire some post haste. Have you all had anything of note since we left?" he asked as he looked at the others and then added. "Is there anything I can do to aide you?" Oh yes, the Emendators knew Peters skills well, there was something he could indeed due to illuminate the situation.

Year 5: Part 2 Update

Date: July 22nd, 2012
Map in Original OOC post - NPC's In CS Tab

Location: Camp Mexico Beach: H6 (Quarantine: W)

Temperature: 87F
Humidity: High (Around 83%) - No Rain
Wind Speed: 15 MPH
Cloud Coverage: Overcast

The last day of Quarantine. By the end of the day it would be over and people were either going to be settling into the camp itself or they were going to be shown the door.

Wake-up call for Ash and Thana came far earlier than anyone else, by hours. (It was still technically the middle of the night for them.) They were escorted by Major and Panama into the Conference room where Gunny was waiting on Thana. He had a large stack of paper work and one box. The box was filled with papers retrieved from Newnan. The stack was notes, blood work, personal records - all on the new comers. Thana was told to review all of these and give her recommendations. Her recommendation would go alongside others and presented to the General by 1200 hours for his final call on the matter. It was obvious that CMB didn't take lightly bringing in anyone new to the place.

Hours and hours later, the rest of the Quarantine group would be brought in by Nikki and Roy. Breakfast would be provided and then morning chores would happen. All four guards remained today; all armed. They hadn't been this watched over since they were brought in but it made sense. If things went south there needed to be more guards. If people got overly emotional, there needed to be more guards. Big changes usually meant that something could go wrong and there were 300 people outside of Quarantine that needed to be kept safe if anyone from this group decided to cause problems.

Mizrahi and Victor were brought in with the second group. Mizrahi looked over towards Thana as he came in, grabbing his breakfast and then going to check on her. "You okay?" he asked her as he pulled over a chair. Giving her space as she worked but wanting to be close enough if she wanted to talk. Victor on the other hand, grabbed his meal and went right back to where he had been sitting the night before. The man was placing more and more distance between himself and the others and seemed to be stressed.

Thana Martin

Location: Camp Mexico Beach: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: N/A

Thana let Ash carry her out of the room and back into conference. He wasn't originally going to be with her this early but he had offered and she could use an extra set of hands so she could let her leg rest. It was sore from having the pins removed yesterday. Things were tense between the two of them and Thana knew why. They had talked a lot of the night. About who they were, where they came from, things they would have gotten around to if Newnan hadn't fallen. Thana had to open up about one particular event that happened between herself and her sister when she was younger. It wasn't something she ever wanted to talk about, even now. It was something she couldn't bring herself to tell even her father until nearly ten years after it happened. It was something she hoped she would have to talk about again but last night, she had to tell Ash. He deserved to know, it would effect him and the choices he made.

Getting into the conference room, she looked over to the paper work and nodded. "Yes sir," she told her father as he handed over her side arm. She was on duty now. Sitting down she blew her hair out of her face and started going through the paper work. She handled it like she would any time she had in the past in the military. Promotion reviews happened every year. She had done this before and no matter her personal feelings she had to set them aside and do what was right for the community as a whole. Each one she went through one at a time, making notes in files as she went along. One stood out to her before anyone else arrived and she had to pull Ash in. "Seriously?" she said as she handed over the interview notes she was reading. It wasn't pretty and it would lead to a rather intense discussion in the process.

Though it was settled before the rest came in. Looking up she nodded slightly towards Mizrahi as he went to get his breakfast. Thana had already taken a few minutes to eat in the middle of going through the papers. Rubbing her face she closed a file and took out a blank report paper. It was time for her to write up her personal recommendations. Her eyes went back to Mizrahi as he came over and asked if she was okay. "As well as can be expected," she said as she wrote. Checking her watch, she had about three hours to get this done. Breathing in deeply, Thana caught the whiff of coffee in the air and it reminded her she hadn't had a cup this morning yet. Leaning over slightly Thana placed a kiss on Ash's shoulder. "Can you get mea cup, please, with a little salt?" she asked him quietly.

Tatiana Newnan

Location: Camp Mexico Beach: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: Psychology

Tatiana looked over at the door as it opened and nodded. Time to get up. Last day of quarantine. Slipping out of bed, she took Jamie and changed him. Getting him dressed and such. Giving Jack time to get up and dressed while she did before she handed her son over to him so she could get ready. Once she was dressed she put her hair up. As best as she could. It still had some growing out to do but not as much as others did. "No matter vhat, ve do vhat is best for Jamie," she said softly but firmly to Jack before they left the room. It wasn't like it needed to be said, but she said it anyways. Before they left their room and were around other people. Giving Jack a kiss she smiled at him softly and then headed out towards the conference room.

Walking in she spotted Ash and Thana, Thana looked tense and had a lot of paper work in front of her. It seemed that Thana and Ash had been there for a while already. There was a lot of paper work there and Tatiana recognized some of the files. They were from Newnan. Some she had written herself. Seemed though something more was going on and it made her wonder just what all was going on. (Not that others would pick up on that, unless they got a roll.) Mizrahi went over to Thana, and then Victor went off alone. Yeah, that didn't seem to be changing. He had changed and not for the better. He acted like this place was out to get him. Paranoia, it destroyed more things than anything in her estimation. Granted she was pretty paranoid herself but she wasn't going to make herself a target by separating herself from everyone. Especially with four, no wait, five armed people in the room. Major, Roy, Panama, Nikki, and now Thana.

The place was playing it smart. Making sure there were enough guard to cover people if things turned south. Being the last day of quarantine she figured it could get tense and someone could get pushed over the edge. Walking to get her breakfast she let her eyes dart around the room, watching people more openly than she had been over the past week. If someone tried to do something stupid she wasn't past putting them down to keep Jamie safe, screw whatever punishment came her way. Oddly though, Tatiana didn't looked worried about things. She felt rather calm about today. Sitting down with a plate for her and Jamie and waiting for Jack to bring the baby over. Breakfast, chores, then who knew what else before they were told how this was going to go.

Wayne Maldonado

Location: Camp Mexico Beach: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: N/A

Morning! "Today's the day, today's the fucking day!" Wayne seemed happy. Like oddly happy. Sitting up in bed he stretched his arms over his head and grunted, made some ugly faces, burped, farted, the usual as he scratched his chest and smacked his lips before he stood up and started getting dressed. "Wanna lay bets down on who get in and who gets shown the door? Or better yet, who freaks the fuck out?" Wayne laughed as he pulled his shirt on and tucked it into his pants. He had some ideas. Most of the people were pretty middle of the road. "Shit, I'm betting I get kicked or locked up. Coins toss," he admitted and he seemed fine with either. Wayne, Zero fucks given people. The man had a bit of a death wish anyways. Live, die, stay, go, it was all the same to him.

Rubbing his face before leaving the room he did make a bit of a confession to Hank. "Though, if I gotta go, I will miss little ass kicker." Bit of a confession? No, it was a hell of a confession. Wayne had grown rather attached to Jamie over the last week and enjoyed hanging out with Tatiana and Thalia and training, well making a fool of himself but those two women and that kid had given Wayne some grounding over the last week and he was acting more normal than he had in a while, well as normal as Wayne could be. Wayne was never fully normally, even more he went nuts and started swatting at a blue bucked-tooth flying unicorn. Which he did as he was walking down the hallway towards conference.

Stepping inside he looked around. "Whoa, paperwork survived the end of the world," he said looking at the stacks that Thana was going over off to the side and away from the others. Well minus Ash, the man was with her. He smirked as he whistled something out of a porn show as he strolled over to get his breakfast. He watched Mizrahi walk over and pull up a chair near the woman and Victor go off to a corner. "On today's episode of As CMB turns," he laughed as he got himself a plate and a cup of coffee. It was all like watching a soap opera and he was loving it. Walking over to his recliner he plopped down and started shoveling food into his mouth, just watching the show. Who needed tv? Amaranthine looked over towards Swamp and bit her bottom lip. She was trying to figure out if they should try to see what was below or if they should remain and check the others rooms. She was not sure what to do. "I do not know..." she admitted as she stood there. Whatever they did, they needed to do it quickly. She was not one for being to estimate how much time they might have but she did know something, she could move far quicker than Dr. Swamp could. She wasn't injured and she had always had to be quick in her life. On stage and off. Letting out a long breath she looked around and then back towards Swamp and pushed the door closed, yet not fully. She made sure it remained unlocked and could be pulled open swiftly if it was needed.

Looking back at him. "I will check the other doors, you keep here I think. If there is something, I shall inform you. This though looks to be our best escape as of now and should he return bent on harm, it would make best for you to be close to the door. It may be our only hope. I do not put anything past those that do not blink at death," she said as she took the keys and quickly made her way to the northern most door. Trying a key, it didn't work. Another and another. None of the keys worked for it. "We cannot open this one," she said before moving towards the door that Quinton had left through. It only took two keys before she found one that worked. "We now have two exits," she said before relocking the door. She didn't want Quinton to return and know she could unlock the door. She quickly removed the keys to the doors that worked and slipped them into her corset. One door to go.

*Remember, roll request can be placed at the bottom of the post and results will be posted in the next update. Still dark, so remember the general rule of thumb, unless someone says something you don't know what they are doing. Rolls for movement because there is a group, have to see if you bump into someone or something.

Feeling around the door, Blush is able to feel where the knob and lock is, it is a start. As she continues to feel along the door she will find the hinges as well and where they are screwed into the door and the wall. The door seems rather solid but where the hinges are it feels weaker, like it has some wear and tear over the years on it. If the lock cannot be picked, perhaps they can pry the hinges off to get out of this door.

Moss is doing well with the cross section. He will be able, after some work to pry off a piece of it. It snaps off and thankfully Moss does it well enough that he doesn't cut himself in the process. He will be able to note the sharp edge of the broken piece though and know to keep clear of it, it is sharp enough to cause some damage on flesh that is for sure. It may help get them out, if anything, it would make for a good quick stabbing weapon if it comes to that.

Swamp is figuring that Quinton knows the place well but that the fact that he and Amaranthine and considered locked away they are not high concerns. He needed to tell the Lady of the Manor Swamps results and have her decide what to do, as well as get a tonic for Amaranthine. Even with familiarity of the place, with it being dark and everything else considered, they should at least have ten minutes but could have far longer. Better to err on the side of caution and work as quickly as possible. With them having two possible exits, they stand a better chance now of getting away if Quinton comes back to end them instead of help them.

Titian took it slow going down the stairs and found himself back in the linen closet they had had to go through before being lead upstairs to the Confinement room in the attic. The door to the Grand Corridor was partially open and he could see a dim light. Stopping where he was, he felt it was best to wait a moment before trying to look out of the door. Stopping by the door he pressed his back against the wall and slipped his hand into his pocket. Just taking slow, quiet, even breaths as he listened for anything. He wasn't hearing anything at first and the light was getting dimmer. Was it Quinton? He didn't know but if it was moving further away, then that was fine with him no matter who it was.

Then he did hear something but he couldn't make it out. Not all of it. Broken words in two voices, neither he was able to figure out but one did sound female. "You." "Done." "Soon." "No." "Leave them." "What of." "Key." What in the world did all that mean and what key? The voices stopped and the light kept moving away and yet it was growing stronger as well. Two lights? At least two people were talking, one seemed to be coming down the hallway. Staying where he was, Titan kept his eyes down on the floor, looking at the space between the door and wall in case he could catch a glimpse of whomever was walking in his direction. It would be something, what he had no idea.

Gretna Green (Church): Millicent unwrapped what Vlad had given her. Within the scarf she found things she was not expecting: A Dao (Chinese style sword), sheath for sword attached to belt, single shot pistol, 3 throwing knives, sheath for knives attached to left thigh, pocket telescope, pocket watch, a lock pick set, and a wallet. Within the wallet she found money, keys, and an id. It was for the man she had met the night of the attack at Almack's, whom fought beside her. Looking up quickly her jaw went slightly slack. If these things were here she could only assume it meant he was dead. She would ask, perhaps, later, now was not the time. Nor the time to ask why these were given to her. Yet she was not about to turn down weapons. Taking the sword and sheath she wrapped the belt around her waist over her dress and fastened it. Pulling her skirt up, she attached the thigh belt with knives and tucked her own weapon at the opposite side of the belt. The rest she slipped into the pockets of her dress. (Dresses with pockets, how wonderful they were during this time. All dresses should have pockets!!!!)

Looking at Virginia she quirked a brow. "It seems we have much to catch up on and stories to trade. Things have been terribly odd as of late and I am rather vexed on the matters. Though, just seeing you again Virginia helps, you are more strength in just your presence than I could ask for. Reminding me of some I had forgotten." Turning her head as others entered the church Millicent tilted her head to the side. "What brings you here Miss?" she asked quickly of Maeve. "Is the Lady Kirkpatrick alright?"

Veta stood before Ludwig, a hand on two relics from the church, a cross and a chalice that were resting beside the body. Then she began, chanting something in Russian it seemed. Simple enough to begin, like a prayer it seemed the way she kept her head lowered and her hand resting on relics. The longer she prayed, the more still she became, as if she was turning to stone as she spoke. As the seconds ticked away it seemed like nothing was going to happen until suddenly from beneath her fingers the chalice began to bubble over with what looked like blood and the cross seemed to bleed and what looked like a holy white lighted manifestation of death with a scythe erupted and joined above Ludwig. It looked with darkness as eyes towards each in the room. It's eyes turned to each person in turn, looking at them before a banshee like screech came from the wispy lighted figure as he flew up and roamed around the room as if searching, like a blood hound on the trail.

A darkness started to form in one of the pews at the front of the church, looking like a shadowy figure of the man that lay before them, a long rope like shadow connecting the two. Swooping in the Ostanavlivat'sya charged the rope which tried to wrap itself around the Ostanavlivat'sya but it was quicker and within minutes of carefully executed movements another wail came but this time from the body of Ludwig as the rope was cut. The shadow of Ludwig freezing in place before its darkness turned to light and then it vanished. The Ostanavlivat'sya swept the room again, stopping in the rafters for a moment before flying back towards Ludwig and splitting over him and seeping back into the relics which still had Elizaveta's hands over them, her voice still praying as it did. It was not until the light was gone and the blood was gone did Elizaveta stop and look up, a long breath escaping her lips.

Millicent watched in wonder, she had never seen anything like it. What was the woman doing? Why was no one stopping her? Her eyes darted to Virginia and then to William. Ny walked forward slowly. "Oh my, yes, Ostanavlivat'sya. Remarkable. Death paused and yet she calls death to come take the soul, see how it cuts the life's thread? Oh yes, just like fates of old. Splendid!." Veta felt weak and her knees began to give away, she was going to fall. Up in the rafters the smell grew as dark tendrils that were hard to tell if they were solid or smoke wrapped around them like fingers. It was watching. Vlad and Constantin would see this, Constantin would be able to move quickly to get Veta before she collapsed. There was a deep guttural growl that came from the rafters now. Millicents eyes went upward and she gasped as her hand went to the hilt of the sword she was given.

There are a lot of moments in Rp that a Gm can be proud of and give thanks for; the completion of an RP, an amazing arc, wonderful ships, great characters. The list goes on and on. I have been very lucky over the last four years to be able to run the gambit of such moments with the peeps in my Rps. Long running Rps have become our standard. Yet, Rps can still die from time to time. Though, I am so stoked to be able to give some massive fucking thanks to my Rpers right now. We have hit day 1000! Now, this isn't just for a single Rp or even multiple Rps. We have gone, as a group, 1000 days without a single Rp dying on us! We've had Rps complete, chapters come to an end, but an rp just dying on us? Nope.

I can't list out all the peeps that have made this happen but I can send out major kudos to the main players. @Sigil @Morose @Nallore @Rivaan @Dragoknighte @FantasyChic @ONL @BlueSky44 @Remipa Awesome @The Grey Dust @Natsu @Romero<-- seriously, the best peeps around and I am beyond fucking blessed and hexed to have these peeps around day in and day out no matter what gets thrown at them for years now. It's one thing to get a single Rp to last for years, it's another to have more than one running over 3 years, even another about to break the 4 year mark. To not have any of the RPs I Gm die for 1000 days is just...

So to them, the ones in Rps right now, the ones not listed, the ones that have come and gone over the years - it is all just one big THANK YOU from me for keeping us trucking successfully for so long. To anyone else seeing this - don't let anyone tell you that Death of an RP has to be the normal, that long running Rps are few and far between - they aren't. Find the right group and stay with it through the good times and especially the bad; it will pay off!

Grimm, Indiana (Tinder House): Adelaide looked over towards Robert. "How the hell am I supposed to know and who shot what cop? I don't see a dead cop around here, you know something?" she asked in an accusatory voice. Yes, there was a cop car out front but there were no bodies, so his assumptions were going to get him in the crossfire with Adelaide, especially considering she had just been informed hours ago a friend of hers was dead and the Sheriff of this town she went to high school with.

Zoie sighed and blew her hair out of her face. "Well there ain't any bodies upstairs. Ain't seen anyone until these two walked in," she said in her thick southern accent. Looking around she rubbed her eyes. "More worried about feeling like I got knocked in the head, anyone else having problems seeing shit?" she asked as she looked around again. Zoies head snapped on a swivel as she heard a crash outside. Checking her gun she started to make a break for it to see what it was. Stepping outside a car had hit a fire hydrant and wrecked. Water spraying up in the air. "Aww hell," she said as she started running towards the car, the air bag was deployed but no one was trying to get out.

Adelaide ran after her and saw the accident, pulling out her phone and trying to call 911 but there was no service, for anyone, anywhere. "Fuck,landline..." she said running back into the house and into the living room. Picking up the phone she tried to call but the dial tone was dead as well. "What the hell is going on?"

Grimm, Indiana (Asylum Stairs): There was a guttural roar from deep below them that shook the stairwell. "Move your asses!" Alicia yelled. The stairs seemed to be holding for now, thankfully. There was some problems getting back up the stairs but the entire group will manage to get up to the top. Roy stopping at the door and keeping it open while waiving people through and keeping his gun ready. Once everyone was through, Alicia shoved Roy out of the way and slammed it shut though she knew it would do no good. The entire building was shaking now. It was as if the haze was growing and the dark red and blackness was enveloping the stairwell, growing stronger and brighter even though there no smoke. The smell however of smoke was growing.

Alicia knew what this thing was and knew what it could do. It had taken someone out far better at handling these things than she was. If she had a moment to think she might wonder why she could actually see it now in some way but she wasn't thinking about that. Pushing her back against the door she looked around. "We gotta get the fuck out of here, keep moving," she said pointing towards the hallway back towards the front of the building. One foot in front of the other she started running again.Roy didn't have to be told twice. Making sure Cecily was close he kept moving as well. He really didn't want to test that whole regeneration thing right now.
