Hello! I'm LadyRunic! But you knew that...
I love most types of Role Play, but by far my favorites are those that are well thought out and worked with. Especially when you can find a group you can work well with. I love books- So many books. It's a running bet that I will become buried under a pile of said objects one day... I'm a tad busy, and when an Rp really catches my interest I'm inpatient for posts. It's like reading a good book and getting stuck on a cliff hanger.
You can generally expect posts regularly once a week if not more.
I've RP'd for the better part of fourteen years, so I can honestly say I have some experience and I've developed the understanding of what I expect of a partner in a one-on-one or a group. I'm also the sort who will speak up and point out something if it looks off or forms a problem to me. I spent most of a year once stuck in a Voice Chat Rp that was hell on Earth, so I'm straight forward when I need to say something. I expect this in return from my Rpers and DMs. I want to improve my writing and love constructive criticism.
The class was loud and while it was amusing she wasn't in the mood to be so. Since she had no class this hour, Ayita had taken avantage of the drama class. Simply sitting in, or rather perching in. Shortly after she had arrived at the school with a disgusting number of people, Ayota had discovered a liking for books and stories. Thus she perched in the shadows of the ceiling rafters, still as a statue. Her bag leaning in the shadows as well.
It was true this time could be better spent. Learning about different climates, reseaching a new species. But she did that all day, leaving her actual work that was assigned in a lesser state, though completed. The only exception was when that work crossed with her own research or her small pleasure. Flicking her wings she rolled them. Working out the kinks of muscle before working her beak through the ebony feathers. She had no doubt the teacher knew she was there, and had less doubt that the boy would wake to some well developed plot. But she was not here for the drama, to learn. Merely to listen. It gave her a understanding of her own race. Something she very much needed. Alaska was not known for a high and diverse population. When you were ostrictized that number grew to nothing. She supressed a cackled at the sleeper. Humans were foolish. Even mutated ones.
Abilities/powers: Bestial/Avian Transformation - Ayita can turn into any bird or mammal, but she must have a very detailed knowledge of the behavior and physiology of that creature. It takes her months to years to learn a new form. Though she can shift into a few forms (Fox, Raven, and mouse) in under a minute or two. She cannot understand the animals but through the behaviors she's learned, and her diet must be large to take the amount of calories need to shift.
Excellerated Healing - She heals quickly, which supports the change of form as bones are being broken and reshaped. Skin being torn apart and changed. It's a painful process.
Sex: Female
Age/Date of Birth: 15, October 31 1984
General appearance: Standing 5 foot 6 inches, she's tall and getting taller. Weight a good 167 pounds and all of it muscle. She generally wears jeans with sandals or boots. Keeping her top as a long sleeved shirt of a dull dark color. Generally staying away from bright colors. Lithe in her build, she's a athlete born and bred. With deeply tanned skin, and black hair. The only luxury she allows long and artfully braided to hold the rest of it back.
Additional Appearance/costume:
Personality: "Eat or be eaten." That is the law of nature, and as one who lives so close and as nature. It is a law she obeys. Ayita is a old soul, wanting nothing more than to be away from the noise and formalities of the human race and go back to her wilds of the North. Thus she says little, watching constantly. There isn't a room she goes into that Ayita doesn't look for a exit. She stands alone and has a temper to drive most people away. Accepting no help, and not giving it generally. There are rare occasions when she will offer a hand. Giving a glimpse to the kind soul only animals and birds see. This is more to protect herself and, in her mine, others.
Special Skills: Extensive survival training, hunting as woman or beast, fishing, tanning, whittling (a favored hobby), and general outdoor activities.
Place of birth: Alaska, USA
Weapon(s) of choice: Bow, knife, rifle
Medical information: She's missing the top tip of her left ear.
Brief History: Born in Alaska during Halloween. Her mother was less than please to be left with a child after her brief husband of two years has left and never returned. The marriage had been of convince as Sarah had been with another child. He was born and died in the same winter they married in. It had wounded Sarah and the disappearance of her husband had broken her. Ayita's father had been a native to Alaska, as had her mother. So when she was left alone, Sarah did the best she could. But time wore on and so did the needs of young Akita and her sister. Soon Sarah took to drinking and smoking. Dealing with the stress. This left Ayita and her older sister, if only by a year to her own devices. They wandered the woods young and learned, much of the local wildlife. But it was during this Shelly was killed protecting her younger sister. Sarah was devastated. But time moved on and as Ayita got older, Sarah taught her more of hunting and living off the land. How to protect herself, and how to live in their seaside village. Urging Ayita to do more work about the house, while the mother sat back and drank while watching out the window. Cutting Ayita with comment about how it should have been her who died. Sometimes she would leave this to attempt to cook, and rage at Ayita. Which honed the young girl's temper.
It was during this raging two years past that Ayita shifted into a raven. Her mother terrified, tried to kill her. The girl fled the house and took to living within the forests and sea shore. Here she was forced to hone her power or starve. She learned to hunt mice as a fox, and scavage from fresh kills as a Raven. To hide as a mouse from people when steal food from them. For a full year she flew and watched a pod of orca, studying them and their dead extensively. Going without sleep and food. Though she knows much about them, she has never taken that form. During that year, she returned home several times. Each time there were a few days of respite before her mother would explode and Ayita would leave. After the first year, she was spending a few weeks before the fights came up again. But upon her latest return her mother delivered a message. She would either attend a school, or go into a mental ward. The village was very much wary of the stranger with strange powers and while her mother held a shield between Ayita and the hatred it was not going to last. They both knew it and Sarah saw a way to get rid of the last reminded of her traitor husband. Ayita bitterly, left. Her mother stating that she was no daughter of hers and nothing but a monster who would only harm someone.
Relatives: Sarah Everwood: Mother, living Liam Everwood: Brother, deceased Jean Everwood: Father, unknown Shelly Everwood: Half-sister, deceased
@pyroman I'll have to pass a teacher role. I'll need to brush up REALLY thoroughly if I wanted to take that on. Little character there, if you don't mind telling me what you think.

@shylarah It's more along of the lines of what Spring doesn't have. A tie to the most ancient of Fae. Falk's fae carry a 'scent' these creatures follow. That scent is in both Summer and Winter.
