I do sort of take a strange enjoyment and amusement that Ioannes is helping us get killed by focusing on the civilians rather than the hostile forces.

Btw, Kayleth meant "witch" as a term for "female who uses magic that is generally considered bad(the magic being bad)." Referring to the fact that she can summons shadows n' shit.

Ioannes scowled as The Red bowled over civilians in his haste to attack the Demons, but he knew that it wasn't a bad move, from the standpoint of pragmatism. Talking to Ionathan, who seemed to be the leader of the guards, the Mamluk spoke:

"This isn't an order, but a request! Can half of you come with me to help the townsfolk, while the other ones keep drawing the bats' attention? If not, well, I'll help the people anyway!" That last part was a psychological trick intended to guilt them into agreeing to his 'request'. And with that, the Hellene/Girayid began to ran for the fleeing townspeople, his quick mind figuring out that the quickest escape route was in the direction of a major temple, where the wounded can perhaps recieve healing.

"This way! This way!" Ioannes cried out as he pointed towards said nearby temple, helping up an old woman who had stumbled, before continuing to try and divert the chaotic departure, trying to clear the area of civilians in the best way he knew how.

Hopefully, this will clear more space for The Red to fight...

And with that, Ioannes' surprisingly kind nature won.

"I'm going with you," he said to Genevive, drawing his rifle. "I'm going to help people first; I'll trust the others to get The Pearl." And with that, he began running to the scene; as he wasn't sure that anyone else was going to come with him - except the guard, that is.

Once he arrived, he saw the demon, the bats, and the dead, prone form of the Lord Marshal, and Ioannes knew what to do. Aiming his rifle and hoping for his compatriots to cover him, he fired full-force at Zargon's head - not that he knew the Demon's name. Then, once he finished firing, Ioannes withdrew his large gun, drew his sword, and spoke:

"I'll rush the enemy leader - cover me against the bats!" And with that, he took out his pistol on his left hand, and fired at the bats in the way to his target. Then, he attacked head-on, his blade ready to make a wide slash...

Orcid is obviously going on the quest. Two birds with one stone after all: She leaves to get the pearl (Possibly fighting demons who also want it) and then she comes back to town to fight the demons already there. Loot and entertainment!
