Current Can't believe that I actually got an RP close to its endgame, btw...

Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

As time passed, the truce with Nittany faded into old news, and life continued on as usual. Close to the crater that was once Boston, a new city was rising, a deliberate plan by the previous Presidents of Troy to tap into the wealth still held by the sea. This town, known as East Point, held a shipyard that produced vessels for both fishing, trade, and although Nittany was inland, war. It was also a greater slave market than Troy, where chattel from the lands further north, taken in sea-borne raids, were 'processed' in preperation for long years of servitude.

Right now, an eighteen-year old young man, with richly-colored, straight brown hair and pale skin, had been freshly washed before being forced onto the auction platform, wearing only a set of pants and boots. Taken from the lands that were once New Hampshire, this young man held a fire in his blue eyes that was defiant as he glared at the audience, who whooped and jeered in response.

"Now," the auction master said, "this fine specimen of a man was born in a town in the barbarian lands, and thus has some un-barbaric knowledge of letters and maths! Capable of manual labor, breeding, or warming one's bed if you're so inclined," laughter sprang forth from the audience, "this young barbarian townsman is a fresh pick, and thus is worth no less than a thousand dollars! And so, we will start the auction with -"

A booming shout broke the auction master's spiel. "One hundred thousand dollars, then! I will buy that slave for one hundred thousand dollars!" The shout was given by a richly-dressed young man of about the slave's age, one whose red hair was not covered with a powdered wig. Several members of the audience looked at him, before murmuring among themselves. This young man was clearly of some importance; more knowledgable ears would know him as a member of a proud merchant family, the Redsoxs.

The auction master, his portly form's belly jiggling in surprise, looked around, but saw no one contest the Redsox scion's bid. And so, somewhat anticlimatically, the young slave on the auction block was sold to someone his age...

Sure, spellswords are a thing in DnD and even out of the DnD context I don't particularly see any problems with a mage carrying a sword if they so chose to, though between healing magic and sword proficiency you'd be a low amount of training away from being a straight up paladin. Just remember, you will be a student so try to stay first year student level. Don't go around healing broken bones when your magical proficiency calls for something more akin to closing a clean cut open wound.

I mean I am open to older year students which would have a bit more proficiency than most, but if you choose that road I will be holding you to a higher standard to maintain that extra skill.

Just keep in mind your power scaling in relation to your approved character and I won't have to divine hammer anything. lol

That works; thanks!
@Letter Bee

Healing magic is allowed. Though I'll be sure to emphasize that natural talent can't really be in both harming and healing based magic as well as a similar relation between utility and sabotaging magic. Y'know, character balance.

If you're in need of a reason why it's like that, I have my own godly pantheon that's hidden from the knowledge of the world of my lore, and so healing magic and holy magic is typically just a form of channeling the same as magical energy being used in elemental magic and any other magic usage. I'll be sure to clarify the nature of magic in relation to the world.

You don't necessarily need to be a priest or religious to be talented in healing magic. Likewise you would have a good deal of talent in protection magic.

Healing and protection. Can I be a Mage-Knight, then?
@Spirit, Is Healing Magic allowed for Wizards?
Both. Characters run the chance of space battles, anomalies, planets with high gravitational pulls, all this can leave you stranded on a planet where you have to survive the elements and npcs till you can find a way to escape. Outside of that you can run into npcs or other characters where combat is possible so yeah it has both.

That makes me happy.
"Tristan, what a good name," Ascot said, before he was distracted by Koda putting on his mask, and the aftereffects of that. He then whirled around at the Ghost Girl once the older man was done vomiting blood, walking away from Tristan as he did so. In a rage, the boy would shout at her:

"So the power comes at a price?!" The answer was apparently yes; Koda was the 'first to undergo the change'. Ascot glared at her in response, saying once more, "You are lucky Zoe isn't here." Power. Power to help people, power to bend to a purpose - the correct purpose, helping others. The boy wanted that, and so despite Koda's ordeal, he moved to put on his mask, his Semblance. As the mask, the gold-and-white half-mask clamped onto his face, Ascot shouted; "I want to be strong!"

A bright golden light glowed from the young man's body, illuminating the area. A simmer of white then washed over this golden glow, and when the brightness ceased, Ascot had been remade anew. His hair was now white as snow, his vest and shirt replaced by bluish-steel armor. His trousers were now blue, and made of a silken material that was nevertheless tough as steel, and he wore boots of leather with metal toe-caps. And finally, white wings unfurled themselves from the back of said armor, four of them, two large upper ones and two smaller lower ones. His eyes opened, then, and those were unchanged; they were still black.

This is so cool! Ascot thought, before smiling at the Ghost Girl and saying, "So, Silverbrook, The Magician, Unfettered. That is also where we can get food and water, correct, assuming we need it? Wait, do not answer that; we have to go soon."

He then flew over to Saffron, saying to the other teen, "Hey, Saffron, are you okay? I know this is a lot to take in - it is the same for me. But to be honest, I'd like the two of us to walk to Silverbrook together, the two of us leading the way." Ascot's wings literally fluttered as he hovered before Saffron. "Then, and I am really sorry for not telling you this back in my own world, but I have a crush on you - you are the most handsome person my age I've met! So...once we've defeated our first batch of monsters - assuming we were sent to Iriss to do something like that - want to go out on a date?"

Ascot's smile was now bright, and for a while, he would forget Zoe and her disappearance.

@TheDarkTemplar, Question; is this a Space Opera like Firefly, with plenty of interaction with NPCs and potential combat with said NPCs, or a 'true' survival RP in which your main enemy is starvation, weather, or the local fauna and flora?

At this point I'd say just go and write up a post without him.

Yeah, just trying to think up one.
