Current Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

@WXer, Sounds like what Wikipedia says about Deadlands. I like it, although I'd like to add that:

1.) Only the Keyblade can destroy Heartless permanently; other weapons just destroy the Heartless' body but allow it to reform and regenerate elsewhere.

2.) Heartless would be appearing everywhere on the Dark West's Earth; no amount of blockade or trade embargo will prevent that. So Europe will be facing troubles by then.

Other than that; I like it.
@vancexentan, Ah. Well, again, it's workable.
I may consider joining but the character I have in mind is more of a thug like character. He's a bit of a brute, and he comes from a more modern setting kind of like Roxas in a way. His whole gimmick is his raw physical power, backed up with some actually decent speed. I'm not sure if a character like this would fit into this setting so I'm asking before hand. He's not evil though he's just...unsophisticated to say a word like for example he doesn't mind plans, and talking but he'd much rather just punch the guy in front of him and break his enemy rather than toy around. He's rude but only because his tendency to speak bluntly. He doesn't like helping people but he doesn't just let people get beat on when they're down. He prefers people fight their own fights per say.@Letter Bee

That sort of stuff is appropriate but just make sure that he can interact well with the other party members.

Also, any ideas on said char's backstory?

And again, OOC Thread is now up.

Kingdom Hearts: The Lights of the Multiverse

Long ago, there was One World, One Earth, and One Timeline, a world filled with Darkness and Light in unequal measures, with a greater proportion of Darkness to Light. This world, thought many, was doomed to fall, until one Hero delved into the secrets of the Light. He discovered that said Light flowed from an unseen land by the name of Kingdom Hearts, and that if he could just burst the barrier that seperated this world from this source of Light, he can save the timeline.

And so, he did...but with unforseen consequences. For what was once one world was separated to many, each with varying levels of Light and Dark. Now, any possibility for Earth to change, even the 'absurd' and 'impossible' ones, now sprang off into its own timeline, creating, for the first time, a Multiverse. The weapon the Hero used to create the Multiverse is called the X-Blade (Pronounced Key-Blade), and, seeing the consequences of his actions, the Hero shattered it into several pieces.

However, it was too late; the people of the various timelines saw, nay, knew, what had been done to them, and so created Lesser Keyblades in the shape of the X-Blade, so as to attempt to search for, and dominate, Kingdom Hearts. But, because of their hubris and ambition, they all failed, killing each other off except for a few repentant surviors, who swore off any attempt to dominate the Multiverse, and instead, chose to preserve it.

In time, the people of the Multiverse forgot about The Hero, the X-Blade, and the survivors of the Keyblade Wars, and slipped into complacency, thinking that their worlds were the only true ones. And so, centuries of peace and development passed. Then, one day, on the world of Shining Field, a Scholar in the House of Wisdom discovered the secrets of the Past, of the Light...and Darkness.

Only a few years after that, Shining Field burned, destroyed by an onslaught of Heartless, strange, black monsters with yellow eyes, who were resistant to most mortal weapons, and who, after destruction, merely reformed in another part of the world to continue their rampage. The Heartless consumed the majority of the inhabitants, man, woman, and child, before turning upon the Heart of the World, its Core of Light.

After that, more worlds burned in quick succession, as Heartless began emerging everywhere, like an unchecked plague. Not merely that, but there were hints that the Heartless were...guided, controlled by an unseen intelligence. And as if to add to the chaos and strife of the situation, strange beings called the Nobodies also emerged, sometimes fighting the Heartless, sometimes conquering their own stretches of territory.

And the Keyblade Order...was nowhere to be seen.

But there is hope: Creatures called Moogles have appeared throughout the worlds, offering trade links, technology and magic that would give the worlds a fighting chance against the Heartless, and finally, ships that can connect to other worlds. In addition to this, people from all over the world with strong hearts have begun manifesting Keyblades of their own, weapons that are super-effective at killing Heartless, preventing them from reconstituting elsewhere. Now, the worlds prepare to strike back, and find out who is behind this strange onslaught on the Multiverse...

-------

If you found that too long to read, then here's a summary:

Strange creatures called Heartless are taking over the worlds, the Moogles have come to save us through the power of trade, and people are spontaneously manifesting the Keyblade, a weapon that kills Heartless in droves. Also, there's Magic. And Technolgy. Sometimes a combination of both. Oh, and instead of Disney-based worlds, you get to travel to alternate timelines.

1.) No Godmoding or Powergaming, aka no controlling other players' actions, no defeating your enemy in one shot, and no shrugging of all hits without a magical shield.
2.) Any consenting relationship between people of the same age group is allowed, whether it's Homosexual or Hetrosexual. If you cannot stand such things, don't post here in the first place.
3.) Be polite to others.
4.) Yes, you can play a non-human if he/she/they are not overpowered.
5.) New Rule: All players must come from a universe with Humans and with a connection to Earth/Earth History. It can be as unrealistic as you want, but it must be 1.) coherent, and 2.) have at least some baseline Humans.
6.) New Rule: Final Fantasy Magic works everywhere except when Final Fantasy Anti-Magic is applied.
7.) New Added Rule: Please post once a week.

The Agriculturalist, the Golden Lady, and the New Presidency

Archibald Santos' first order of business was to send out messages to the mobile courts to begin another circuit, as well as the regional assemblies stationed in the provinces to move to another major city; it would not do to have individual urban centres in the Philippines get too cozy with being centres of Power. The Muslim Congress, buoyed up by its success in Sabah (a success they forgot they had nothing to do with and had actually opposed), was eager to move to Cotabato City to be closer to its new ally and trading partner. Marawi's Civilian Council would be sad, but they'd understand. It was Davao which was the larger problem.

Despite land reform further north, the Christian settlers trickling into Mindanao have only slowed down their migration into Muslim and Pagan lands, and were demanding their own representation. Davao City had the loudest voice for that, being home to Christians, Muslims, and Japanese Refugees exiled from Japan because of left-wing views. Due to the land around Davao being host to an increasing number of small cacao farms exporting chocolate to the global market - the sellers usually labelled the cacao as Mexican or African to avoid any tarriffs against Priscilline Confederalist Philippines - the city's voice was getting harder and harder to deny.

Archibald mused that it was his own agricultural techniques that had led to this rise in influence; an unforseen consequence of good intentions. Either way, he was thinking about how to please Davao's Civilian Council without alienating the Muslim Congress.

Footsteps were heard entering the room, which was situated in the small and modest guesthouse he lived in now that he was President. It was Aurelia, dressed in an immaculate black-and-white robe that made her look a bit like a Zebra, not that he was going to say that outright. Archibald said to his Vice President: "Hello, Aurelia, what's the order of business?"

"Christians want to join the Sulu Pirates," was the sudden and surprising reply from the normally refined lady. "Same for Sabahan Muslims. Should we extend tacit permission?" She would then blink a little. "Also, you might want to re-confirm ties with certain Rhodesian...entities."

Archibald would say to Aurelia, "I know about the airplanes you're buying from them as gifts to the air force. And we can always use a new market for agricultural products." A look at her. "By the way, you do realize my agricultural research ought to help their business; so can you ask your contacts to call off their assassins?"

Aurelia's eyes opened slightly wider. "You're more assertive and perceptive than I gave you credit for. Power must do that to a person. So, what about the pirates?"

"Tell Davao City that if they support the Christians' ridiculous requests to join in piracy, they can kiss being a seperate political unit from the Muslim Congress goodbye. We are not muddying up the waters. Sabhans, meanwhile, need to register the names of every pirate captain - who would then keep a list of crew - in the Sulu and Manila Registers." At Aurelia's expression turning quizzical, Archibald continued, "Priscilla and Sultana Sabiha forced all pirate captains who want official support to register their names in Sulu, which would be copied in Manila; these two registers will be regularly cross-referenced with each other."

Archibald revealed more, "Each pirate captain then keeps a smaller ledger of their crewmembers and their activities. It is a measure to ensure a minimal level of ethical behavior between Pirates; keeps them semi-honorable. Not merely that, but all ledgers have a coded message in Arabic Script but in the Esperanto language. This coded message cannot be deciphered by the pirate captains, but is widely understood to be a means of distinguishing said ledger from any imitations." A purse of his lips. "Any pirate who does not have a ledger with said message, or who claims to understand said message, is actually an impostor or infiltrator."
Technically still here but on hiatus, guys. But I also took on 4 active RPs and 4 Inactive RPs in the meantime, plus am very bitter about Erdogan's actions in IRL Afrin, which might - might - happen to my Philippines here if I keep playing.

So not sure what to do, but I might scrape together an IC post for here today.
