Current Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

Academy of Noble Arms - With TheHangedMan's permission

Noble Arms. A mysterious power that surfaced during the twilight of World War II - a fact that even today have made many sigh in relief; for the power that Noble Arms lent to its master would have undoubtedly made the already destructive conflict so much more terrible. At present time, institutions have been founded in order to control the rapidly surfacing ability to summon powerful weapons - weapons that could, to the bafflement of scientists today, disregard the laws of physics.

Noble Arms are tools that are innate in the users mind, and summoned by their will into reality. For reasons that still cannot be explained despite years of research, Noble Arms only take the form of weapons from before the First World War, however, despite the antiquity of these forms, the power they bare to the battlefield is unlike anything modern technology has been able to produce.

The ability to manipulate the elements to the users will.

Force that can reduce matter down to atoms in seconds.

The strength to withstand the explosion of a nuclear missile.

All of these powers and more still have surfaced along side Noble Arms, and the ones who bear them, the Arms Masters, are sought after by countries all around the world. Where once the strength of a country was decided by the technological strength of their Army, it is now judge by the power of their Arms Masters.

It is now 2020, and the tradition of Arms Masters has been deeply established in society. There are academies, schools, and programs dedicated to advancing the abilities of Arms Masters for the sake of their country. Truly, there can be no doubt as to the influence that Arms Masters and Noble Arms holds in today's generation.

Focus now on the Trinidad Noble Arms Academy; based in the Philippines, Trinidad is an international school known for its low standards and high graduation rate. It is a school that produces second-rate and mediocre Arms Masters, with no notable achievements save one: it was the Academy that produced the Hero of 1987, Angelito Jaime who single-handedly ended the war between the ASEAN member nations and China before it had even begun.

Now, though its reputation is tattered and its results unspectacular, Trinidad remains a highly populated Academy, boasting of a population of over 2000 students. This is due in part, to Trinidad's unique scholarship system that allows the lower class, who normally are unable to enroll in an Arms Masters Academy, to enroll. However, this year, things have changed; the director had suddenly passed-away, and another one has taken his place. This Director is driven, determined, and powerful. He has announced that he would be remaking the Academy into a first-rate producer of Arms Masters around the world, and he would take that first step by announcing the schools participation in the Noble Arms Summit - an international meet for all Arms Masters, and the main event is the Noble Arms Summit Student Tournament. The Director will achieve this goal by all means; even if it means culling down hundreds of incapable students.

What path will you take on the dawn of this sudden revolution?

Mass Effect: Seraphim Post

It was then that Ashton's still-activated laptop beeped. Bringing up his inbox, the young man saw a message from one of his online contacts on the 'dark extranet'. Upon reading, the young man froze. Turning to Flame, the boy said, "Remember the Batarian dissident I told you about, Rigger? Apparently, he's dead." A pause. "Dead but not without his secrets; I've suspected that he carried some sensitive information on the Hegemony when he vanished and that's been confirmed."

Flame nodded at that, then said, "If it had been any other kid saying this, I'd be suspecting them. But right now, I believe you're right. Shall we go to the Main Hangar now?"

A swift nod as Ashton packed up his personal computer and omni-tool, carefully erasing all traces of his use of the local computer grid as he did so. The boy then gave a slight bow to Lokea and said, "Thank you."

He and Flame then walked down the control tower and went to meet with this 'Saris Fen'; Ashton assumed the name was Volus. Once they got there, Flame looked around, saying, "We seem to be an intact group. Can't say the same for these Blue Suns."

Ashton looked at where Laurence was and whispered back, "Well, it seems that Mr. Constantly Angry got here first. Anyway, I'll be introducing myself to this 'Saris' guy; he seems like the sort of person who'd tolerate some sass."

Flame's palm met his face as he said in a low voice, "Are you sure you want to anger an employer who's shady enough to hire kids?" A pause. "Oh, well, guess it's your coffin."

They waited for the Volus to arrive, and when he did, Ashton went a few steps forward. He then gave a slight bow and apologized for his forwardness, "Please forgive me for asking first, Mr. Fen, but having left a middle-class life on Earth - It is my companion who was a former slave, not me - to pursue the will of a now-dead friend," Ashton carefully avoided revealing that said friend was a Batarian, "I must ask what exactly you are planning to do with us as your 'employees'."

A purse of his lips, "And by that, why are you looking for a ragtag bunch of talented misfits? Especially misfits with a sense of morality. I presume it's for an idealistic mission, right?" Another pause. "Because if so, I'd like to see terms of employment; the promise of credits is great, but I want to know if I'd be able to do some freelance security work as long as I don't reveal anything and send messages to my parents assuring them I am all right as long as I also don't reveal anything."
@Ubermensch, Approved now.
@Ubermensch, Yes; post a character sheet and I and @Sgt Vandingo will look it over to see if it is a good one.

"Oh, I think you're cute, but I already have a boyfriend; the other boy with me. And I won't exchange him for the world," was Ashton's response to Fritzi's question as to whether she looked cute or not. "And it's okay for me to just earn a living wage, at least for now."

Then Fritzi pressed her head against his'; Ashton was a bit embarrassed despite knowing it to be necessary. Then she revealed his magic as Light Magic, which in this world was mainly strengthening natural attributes, it seemed.

Light, Ashton thought to himself. Just like what Hiro has. Smiling, the boy said, "Don't worry; with this new magic, I'll be able to maintain a decent cleaning speed!" A smile, a quick "Jiwald!" and Ashton proceeded to do just that.

Fritzi might be hiding something, he thought as he cleaned, She is a bit disadvantaged even though she hides it. But what's behind that brave face? He kept cleaning the house, focusing on training his body to be faster; he knew that a kid made a bad 'damage absorber'. So he'd be a jack-of-all-trades or a rogue. A smile at that as he thought, Unless Fritzi really is part of the 'Demi-Human Liberation Front', this promises to be a perfectly quiet time. So time to find out general world information.

Turning towards the Fox-woman, hoping she hadn't gone up yet, Ashton would say, "So, this city is called Priestella, and I heard some snatches of conversation that said that this is part of a Kingdom called Lugnica. As my knowledge of the world isn't much... I'd like to ask just what the Kingdom of Lugnica actually is. What is its capital, who is its King - or Queen Regnant - And finally, what is its founding Legend? What hero founded such a Kingdom and what... Gods blessed it?"

A pause. "And finally, a sensitive question; what are the evil forces that oppose the Gods? Much lore has been lost in our own Kingdom before we were kidnapped and taken to this place; disasters and purges and everything happened. So if you know anything, even hearsay and stories, I'd love to hear those."

Flame Brooks

Flame pursed his lips and said, "Well, there was darkness, and this person called L.T. who called us in said presumably-magical darkness, talking about taking us to someone who loved us." He had been there when Ashton had given his explanation, but can recall only snatches of it. "Then the darkness lifted and we found ourselves in your city." A pause. "To be honest, I think that we've been expreimented on, and the darkness that enveloped us was Magic of a dark kind. Even now, there are... Indications that we might be under a geas, a matter of superstition in our Kingdom."

Now, a thought, "Despite our items that operate on unknown principles, despite the fact that our items operate on the same level as Magic, much lore has been lost, forgotten, or purged in our Kingdom. In our land, items like these are made using Science; the observation and application of established laws of the universe, and manipulating energy and matter that already exist. Or at least, that's what we've been taught in school; assumng that schooling is common in your Kingdom. This loss of magical lore might be a factor in our kidnapping; the enemy might find people who have literally lived under metaphorical rocks for centuries to be a useful subject for experimentation."

As they walked on, Flame then asked Aer, "Add that to the fact that Demi-Humans are myths and legend in our Kingdom - You can infer the horrible implications of that statement later - and you'll find that we are both innocent yet at the same time not beyond suspicion. So let me ask you one thing: What are Wtiches? In our land, the term applies to any woman who uses Magic."

Theodore smiled at Anna as she arrived, saying, "Pilot Mustang, welcome to the group." He then faced everyone, "People of the International Volunteers, this is Anna Mustang, yet another defector, this time from Denver-Vegas. She will be replacing Isaac LaBelle as the group's sniper." The General Commander then faced the group. "As for why Mr. LaBelle is going to be replaced? I have it on good authority that he's an actual mole in the International Volunteers, and despite my demonstrated leniency, my patience isn't infinite, especially as he had made an agreement with Osamu Akiyama to hand over one of the pilots here to him."

A mild, hopefully compassionate, glance at Alexei if he hadn't left the meeting yet, indicating to the young man that he was the Pilot Osamu and Isaac had been targeting. "Consider this a fair warning; an actual betrayal of trust will be met with consequences. I may be lenient, but I am not stupid. The strength and weakness of the International Volunteers lies on its ability to attract and keep defectors from those 'plutocrats'. And my own strength and weakness lie in fostering the individual strengths of each Pilot, embedding a sense of camaraderie into them, and then hoping that they stay loyal and do not turn the fostered strengths against me." A purse of his lips. "Kindness is not the same as being 'soft'; not all the time."

A pause as Mariano entered the room, "Speaking of which... Pilot Encarnacion (@AzenExile); perhaps you can ask for Confession Services when the campaign for Darwin is over and not before?"
