✡ The Beginning 》 It has been some time in which nearly every individual taking place within the supernatural community has experienced omens or visions of a mysterious force that is hinting towards catastrophic events. This has stirred fear and panic — causing several covens, packs, and groups to close their doors and lock their gates. Here in Salem, Massachusetts, survival is hard when placed in the heart of the supernaturals' dwelling, thus, it is easy to become callous and selfish, shutting out the rest of society to ensure one's own safety. Though, it is now that these tendencies have been cast aside, and a door has been opened, inviting fellow creatures of the night to come and discuss their experiences and their fears to help inform the rest of the community. Perhaps the time has come to ignore all rivalries and centuries-long quarrels to allow for a chance at some kind of unity, regardless of how short-lived it may be, to discover what it is to come. 》 Founder's Day has come! A huge event for the people of Salem to gather within Washington Park in celebration of another year coming for the small city-town. Pop up shops, food trucks, and several booths open up to give several activities for the citizens to enjoy. The day begins with live music, celebration, drinking, and continues on until a fireworks show wraps up the night. The streets will be crowded, the park will be full, and the people will be lively — but what about the eerie presence of Salem's best guests?

Pushing to unfold his destiny, he tries to be careful as he treads through his life, making sure that he doesn’t turn a blind eye to any possible opportunities that are offered to him. His greatest aspiration was to become a man of bravery, honor, and valor. In doing so, he found himself joining the marines in hopes to maximize his strength and help make a change in the world. Sadly, he was stationed for awhile and was left disappointed and unfulfilled since he was never mobilized, nor called upon for any instruction. While many would prefer this, Sebastian never intended to join for rapacious reasons, but rather for the thrill and rewarding feeling that would come with the job. Since his return from being stationed, he’s left lost, becoming stagnant in his life. His aspiration still remains, but it is veiled by a thick fog. -

life at ritman high Sebastian came to the hierarchy much later than the rest of the students at Ritman High. Moving to the United States was a culture shock for him and he took a lot of time by himself to further learn the language and culture, as well as taking time for himself to properly cope with the events of his life. His father, a wealthy, mad scientist, and his mother, gone, had left him living in an unhealthy environment, exposed to the strange obscurities of his father’s work without any other family to call upon. In his own independence, Sebastian negotiated with his father and they agreed to allow him to move to the U.S. There, in the isolation of a large home with an unassertive, yielding nanny to care for him, he began anew. He lived with few rules and all the freedom he could’ve ever wanted, but never abused it for he has always had a dedicated complex embedded in his character. Sebastian had always lived headstrong, even when he resided in Germany, so his predicament had changed little. In spite of his private, undisclosed childhood, he found great distraction within Ritman High. Upon entry, he was already given the indentifier as the ‘Hot Foreign Jock’, even before joining the varsity football team. In the beginning, he talked very little, paying more attention to his academics and his extracurricular activities that he signed up for. As time went on, his nerves calmed and he felt more comfortable within the atmosphere, and he began to cycle in with the hierarchy of Ritman high, becoming involuntarily placed at the high-end of the pyramid. Sebastian engaged more with his classmates and spent a lot of his time bonding with his teammates, but all-the-while still adopting his quiet demeanor. His increasing involvement had led him to joining the NHS and it further amplified his determination with his academics and his sports. As he maintained his respectful and calm attitude, he was known to be the nicest of the jocks and a well-liked person all around. Except nobody ever got close to him and he remained a mystery to the student body. He didn’t have a single relationship, nor did he grow fond of any particular individual. As his highschool years passed, he eventually befriended a group of classmates that he would still consider his closest friends, despite still leaving them distant enough to not feel the need to expose himself entirely. For Sebastian, they were like his saving grace to his increasingly bad mind set. Growing up is hard, and for Sebastian, he could only mask his loneliness. Life for Sebastian during his time at Ritman High was all the things that it should’ve been—fun, eventful, productive—but he still felt the underlying emptiness that he tried so hard to fill with meager, teenage antics. Although such antics would be deemed as completion and accomplishment, he couldn’t deny the haunting feeling of his past that hung over his head like a dark, growing cloud of thunder. As he anticipated it’s strike, he fervently decided to join the marines for hope of purpose, assuming it would satisfy his aspirations and eliminate his self-hatred and developing feelings of worthlessness. And as he graduated with high hopes, he became recognized by his school for making this decision. His high school years were then seen as a huge success within his life, but such feelings are now swayed, believing he followed the wrong path for his life. Returning six years later, without any notable achievements during his time in the marines, his feelings of self-hatred and issues of self-worth resurfaced. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔

Sebastian can create, shape, and manipulate force-fields, a field of energy without mass that acts as a barrier. Objects affected by the particular force relating to the field are unable to pass through the field and reach the other side. Sebastians most common usage is forming shields, barriers, and bubbles around things he wishes to encase or protect. In combat, he can also be seen creating strong force-fields around his arms, fists, or legs to increase the power of his strikes. He is moving on to being able to move/lift objects that he encases within his force-fields. As he progresses with his powers, he has the potential to unlock several more aspects and usages with the power.

The strong density of the force-fields can withstand heavy blows dependent on his concentration. He is also capable of forming force-fields around his body for combat use or more immediate self-protection. As Sebastian grows with his abilities, he’ll be able to make makeshift force-fields to use as platforms. ▼ w e a k n e s s e s ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ ► Too much usage of the power can cause instability, especially when he is required to deposit increased concentration. The power is best utilized with a quick reaction time, requiring Sebastian to be light on his feet when the time calls for it. To be able to conjure makeshift force-fields that are more complex than an average barrier or shield requires a more complex concentration. -

psyche Growing up, Sebastian has always had a determined, independent, and impenetrable personality. He is as productive as he is independent, finding himself to prefer doing things on his own. This leads to his introversion and his avoidance of help when it comes to tasks he is required to do. Even from working as a team when he played football, even from learning cooperation and alliance from the marines, he still remains independent, but thanks to the two, it is much less extreme. On the contrary, he is a man that keeps to his word and doesn’t make promises unless he is sure to keep to them. In the small instances where he has failed someone or not seen a task to its completion, he is very hard on himself and generally doesn’t let go of his mistake. This aside, he is very productive and chooses to fill his time with things that will better him rather than fill it with enjoyment. Sebastian is often found thinking a lot, and he is more perceptive than judging. He tries to see things from all angles, regardless of how small the scenario may be. Sebastian tries to treat others the way he wishes to be treated. He doesn’t treat others with distaste and he is always respectful as can be. A lot of people call him old-school for his strong feelings towards respect and responsibility, but he appreciates this aspect of himself. Sebastian is also very observant and curious. He tries to learn as much as he can, ranging from the most minimal events to the biggest lectures of his life. Ritman High has taught Sebastian to enjoy life and friendship and happiness. But his character flaw is that if he invests too much time into enjoyment, he will have nothing to show for himself than the temporary feelings he creates in those instances. As of recent, he has been lost in a vortex of emotions, social constructs, and philosophy—he more commonly struggles with his views of himself more than he has in the past, unable to find the balance. And as time continues, his tired mind juggles more than it can handle. Sebastian doesn’t smile often, but when he does, it as genuine as ever. The majority of the time, he keeps a straight face and it is near impossible to determine what he’s thinking, for his mind is generally scattered with thoughts. The close friends he has made at Ritman High are what pull him away from his solitude and uplift him to a place where he feels the warmth of happiness, but he struggles to hold onto it. @Wistful Dreams@QueenNugget Sorry for the confusion! So I really wanted to refrain from trying to limit people's choices by reserving spots. So I initially wanted to make all of the roles as applicable roles instead of by reservation. That being said, I would gladly look over the two sheets that I would receive from ya'll and decide which one would better suit the role for the RP. In no way does that mean one player is a better writer or conjured up a "better" character, but it would be chosen based on which would best fit the plot and the group dynamic that we have going. I did put strike throughs for roles that already had interest to avoid this, but you both had PMed me asking about the role and I didn't want to deny either of you. I believe I said that you both could apply and I would review it, but I understand how it could be confusing since I'm kind of going back and forth. So, in short, create whichever character you wish and I'll see which best fits the role and which would be accepted.

Sage

Sage is a lovely character! Though, I'm a little bit iffy on accepting her because of how much ability, talent, and power she possesses. Being only 23 years old, I believe she just has a little bit too much to see as believable, but then again, we live in a world with several human anomalies when it comes to talent and brightness. To note: Sage is the author of multiple best-selling novels, she plays the cello, piano, vocal, drum, and guitar, she is the founder of the page Ask Atlus, and she has skill with a very, very broad horizon of different magics. I find it a little unrealistic, given that she's 23 years old and she has this many accomplishments/talents. Granted, with a corresponding backstory that would make this all believable, I could maybe accept her, but I think the amount of powers she has is way too much.

I find it hard to believe that Sage would really have the time for everything without having an INCREDIBLE amount of innate talent. She was able to write award-winning novels as well as learn to play several instruments, without any mention of college, teachers, etc. All of these skills/accomplishments take a great amount of devotion to time and energy and generally are accompanied by teaching/college. To add to this, within her backstory her only assumed practice of magic would be in her dreams, as well as once she moved away from her father's house. You wrote that she was surrounded by metal and machinery, limiting her usage for her powers, so she wouldn't have had the opportunity to practice as much as other witches while in NYC. Additionally, she has almost the amount of power, if not--she does have as much power, as a supreme witch, especially because she covers a lot of fields of magic. To add, you didn't note that she had any other instructors other than her mother within her dreams, nor did she have access to tomes/books.

My suggestion would be to remove some of Sage's talent and powers.

• If you wish to keep the powers that she possesses, then she'll have mediocre to minimum talent with each. Note that vampires are also very strong cognitive creatures, so they will most likely surpass her in that field unless you have her specialize within that field of magic. Werewolves are also innately resistant to magic, so she might not even be able to touch them, depending on their cognitive control.
• You may choose to eliminate some of her powers to keep the existing ones up to par with the other witches.
• You may remove some of her talents/accomplishments to allow for her to have a believable amount of devotion to her witchcraft.
• You may give her a better corresponding backstory that further mentions the reasons as to why she has all of this. This accompanied with an older age could help to null some of these suggestions. While you did note that she comes from a powerful blood-line of witches, she is still a little bit too strong.

With her messy dark hair streaked in boxed blonde bleach and the black clothes inspired by the nineties’ grunge wave, Sascha might as well have a sign on her that says ‘I’M BAD’. Of course, don’t always buy into how she seems. Such a state is only her default form, but Sascha is like a chameleon and can change her skin as she sees fit. Sascha treats her body as a blank slate: her face is attractive, but unforgettable under the right circumstances, and her body is short with sharp curves yet nothing immediately stands out. When she wants to, Sascha transforms herself into another person without even applying extensive make-up. She can use her upturned nose to emphasize a snooty personality, or her wide smile to portray a welcoming persona. Despite this camouflage, there are two features that remain unsettling about her: her pronounced canines and her amber eyes that appear a light brown until a light hits it just right – and then it seems to glow unnaturally. 『 "measure twice, cut once. cash money flow." 』

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Sascha Dietrich is not a good person. She knows this, and she doesn’t care. After spending her youth pondering right and wrong, Sascha somehow ended up seeing only the middle gray. Ever since, Sascha has been teetering in slight nihilism – she sees the extremes on the moral compass, but likes to navigate in the “immoral, but not deplorable” area. She’s selfish and takes what she wants, working towards surviving with no care of how it affects others, and emotionally has distanced herself from people. Becoming antisocial makes it easier to take advantage of people, especially when you assume the worst. When you have no care for how your thieving affects others, you begin to take more than needed; Sascha has become quite greedy since she was younger, taking and taking because she never had to stop before.

As a youngling, Sascha was bright. Sascha nurtured the intelligence she was born with and sharpened her wits to a fine point; now, she uses her cunning against others. With her clever mind, Sascha has become strategic and methodical. She has long since perfected the ability to take emotions out of her process, seeing only plans and methods, attacking her problems with thorough solutions and backup solutions (and more backup solutions). Sascha thinks rationally, seeing the bigger picture and mentally calculating the losses and gains in her plans – most often disregarding the consequence her conning will have on her marks. In such a way, Sascha is a perfectionist and must have everything work out exactly as she had planned it (lest she end up in jail). To execute her schemes, she has become quite skilled in manipulation; she uses her skills in acting and lying to take advantage of people and their weaknesses.

All of this is behind closed eyelids, though. People don’t see the calculation going on in her brain. Instead, they see a cold-hearted bitch with a severe lack of manners. Sascha is blunt and seems to have no filters, but all her honesty is in pointing out the flaws in others without revealing anything about herself. She keeps her cards close and doesn’t let anyone have a peek over her shoulder. When in contact with other people, she is derisive, scathing, and utterly dismissive of others’ feelings. She callously does whatever she wants with no regard of anyone else. However, Sascha is nothing if not adaptable. At the tip of a hat, she can adapt her personality and demeanor to fit the person she is talking to if it suits her purposes – when in a new area, she makes sure to come off friendly to most people in case they come in handy later.

Sascha Dietrich is German, but if you ask her old schoolmates, Sascha is an ossi – an East German. Even though she was born after Germany had reunited, Sascha’s childhood felt the tremors of the German separation. Saxony-Anhalt experienced a high unemployment rate and Sascha was born into a poor family. When she was only four years old, Sascha’s father left Saxony-Anhalt to find and job to support Sascha and her mother. Sascha never really got to know her dad and mostly grew up with her mother, getting a bundle of money every other month. It was never enough, though. Sascha’s mother got sick, really sick, and the hospital bills were too expensive for the money they were receiving. Vividly, Sascha remembers writing a letter to her father, asking him to send more money because “mama is dying”. She was ten years old when her mother finally passed.

At ten, there was no conceivable way for Sascha to support herself. She gathered the last envelope of money her father sent and used it to buy a train ticket to the return address. When she arrived, she found more than expected – her father had moved on, in his time away from her mother. He had found a new wife, with two stepdaughters Sascha’s age and a biological son five years younger than her. Sascha was livid – her mother would have lived if her dad hadn’t needed to support another new family. She had nowhere to go, though, and her father took her in. Living with her dad left Sascha feeling numb. Her stepsisters disliked her and had no problem showing it, her new schoolmates teased her for being an ‘ossi’, and her father attempted to build a relationship with her but it always fell flat. She resented him. So much so, that at fifteen, she stole all his money out from under him and booked a one way ticket to New York City. Good thing her English wasn’t that bad.

In America, she spent her teen years on the streets, evading social services. She made her money doing small time cons, hustling people out of their money with street tricks and pickpocketing. Petty thievery also helped her way. The more and more she stole, though, the more and more she wanted. Soon, Sascha was running long cons and cheating people out of money by preying on their sympathy. She would bounce around the United States, sometimes dipping her toes into Canada, making as much money as she could.

Sascha was in Washington. It was a chilly night and she was out with a camera, noting down her mark’s schedule and gathering intel. She felt like she was being watched, but after glancing around and peering into suspicious cars, she shrugged it off. However, when a bush rustled behind her, Sascha booked it as fast as she could. Sascha could never recall having ever run as fast in her life, but she was no match for what was chasing her – she went down hard with something pressing against her back, then sharp teeth burrowing into the back of her calf. Sascha remembers the night with much contempt, the night that made her life a lot more complicated than she wanted it to be. The next morning, she left town without looking back, and it was days later when she started to truly understand what was happening to her.

Now, eight months later, Sascha finds herself in Salem, Massachusetts. Since her accident, she has stubbornly ignored the werewolf side of her and is in Salem in pursuit of money – the reappearance of a famous boxer, a total goldmine.

« Lycanthropy »

Having been bitten, Sascha has the basic lycanthrope abilities at hand. Accelerated healing, supernatural strength, speed, and agility, etc. etc.

« Agile Beast »

Sascha has always been agile; she learned parkour (despite detesting the internet culture surrounding it) for the times she needed to escape and her werewolf abilities now enhance that. As such, Sascha is a flexible queen.

« Swift Shifter »

Sascha has a natural knack for changing from human to beast in a short amount of time.

L I M I T A T I O N S

« Mortality »

Sascha may have accelerated healing, but she can still be felled by the usual werewolf things: silver, beheading, etc etc. She also, unfortunate for her skin, ages.

« Full Moon »

Every full moon, Sascha forcefully shifts and experiences excruciating pain.

« Uncontrolled »

Sascha is extremely out of control of her wolf side. Even though she shifts quickly, she has little control over when and where she shifts; she changes with her emotions unfortunately. As a wolf, she is volatile and has little control over her aggression.
