A greed demon too shy to steal? That sounds more like Henry's issues then Miyu's.
<Snipped quote by TheWindel>

Because just across the street his neighbor Sliske has a planet.

Then hop on Miyu's rocket and go steal a planet.
With the offering of rebellion presented I shouldn't be surprised everyone seems ready to jump ship for a mysterious ancient vampire. A vampire, who we should compare to Victoire for a moment:

Will not trust her subordinates to have the free will to act against her intentions and ensure mechanism to control them.

Shall consider you a food source until proven otherwise.

And will find new and inspired ways to violate you that even Fran would find too demeaning.

Is blatantly aligned with cosmic horrors outside the Nexus seeking the ruin of everything done since anyone stepped foot in the Nexus

So to speak on behalf of the Three Factions defense and, indeed, the eternal conflict in general, here's a few pros to balance out the cons:

One, fighting is your job. Professional Soldiers, to put a label on it, and like every job it exists to sustain you. Is it really a horrible thing to ask the people who have wildly destructive powers which excel in inflicting harm on others to then use those powers on other factions, in exchange for whatever it is they need to enjoy their immortal lives? Henry and Victoire live in castles, the Angels have a captial city were even the slums could be made of polished marble and gold, and the Machina can fabricate basically anything you can think of. Not to mention the spoils of war you take home after the battle...

Second, let's say peace is achieved, then what? Danmaku duels and inter faction orgies settle everything as they prance through fields of wild flowers and bunnies? Let us not forget that the factions and its people, in general, are opposed to their enemies in ways of ideology, temperament, and culture. That they share commonality in their arrogance and avarice isn't going to do much to bind them together. Even though individuals may get along, as neighboring nations they would have a great deal of enmity towards one another even if they weren't actively fighting.

Third, would the PCs really be able to live in peace? Over countless years of conflict they have all the moral restraint of Charles Manson and while I doubt Omega or the Maid Twins would have trouble living on the straight and narrow, expecting the Demons to stop raping and pillaging is a bit much. And when you have high and mighty angels proclaiming their greatness from the heavens, mankind is going to get a bit miffed when a Laguna steps on a city and treats it will all the severity of trodding on ants.

Its like watching a star think its getting dizzy and halting its own rotation. The catastrophic end result is only on the one halting the momentum.

But that's me speaking for the Faction Leaders. Do what you must.
Damn it Esther, stop making it so tempting to tie you to your bed posts!

She supposed it was only to be expected that people would be interested in following, and that it was Esther of all the cadets was not surprising in the least. If there was a chance to throw herself at Gradon that she hasn't taken then Leblanc certainly hadn't seen it.

"I know you just woke up, but that's no cause to be rude." Leblanc deadpanned as her charge awoke with a fright and threw himself upon the nearest rock to further heap the injuries on what must have been a remarkably thick skull. "If you had expected me to save you...well you must have an alarming degree of faith in me." The sea weed haired woman began to speak in a dry tone only to pause and turn rather plain, thinking that Gradon may very well just think better of people then most others would, which rather took the fun out of it for her.

Waving off frivolous concerns she turned back to the course she'd set and eyed them up form over her shoulder. "Regardless of what either of you say, you're returning to your rooms. Esther, you need to get dressed before I do something we'll both enjoy, and that says nothing of the libido of others here." Leblanc said, an auspiciously long tongue raking across her lips in a blatantly dramatic manner. "And I imagine Althea would advise Gradon to rest his head before he endeavors to break up the next confrontation, so do her the courtesy before the next punch shatters that glass jaw of yours."

@Hammerman@TheWindel
Darn it Esther. How is Leblanc going to tie him to the bed posts when she has a live audience!?

Yeah
@Lonewolf685 Having now finished Automata and gotten all the main endings, I think I can safely say the best one is "Fuck it, let's go fishing."

I'd have said the Jackass' Mackeral ending, but Gone Fishing was great.

Her show of force had shattered the drunken revelry, and the arrival of the other cadets had swept up the pieces and doused the tavern mood so thoroughly this powder keg wouldn't be in danger for at least another week. Shaking her head in disappointment, she stepped out of the ring and found not a one to resist her passage through the mollified throngs, coming to loom over the kneeling Leon.

"There's no need for Althea. At least for Gradon." Leblanc said, bending from the waist to lower herself to the slumped cadet's level and prying open his eye lid. "Hmm, I don't see anything burst here, and he's still breathing semi-regularly." Her fingers trailed down his cheek over the jaw line, pausing against the cordage of his neck. "And his heartbeat isn't anywhere dangerous. I'd hazard to guess he just needs to rest for a bit."

There was no question that Leblanc was a qualified medical professional, she was certainly qualified to speak in regards to the severity of common injury such as this. A wealth of experience and her own control over personal anatomy did afford a bit more insight then the common street thug, at least.

Seeing as his situation was wholly minor in nature, barring a possible concussion, the young sea weed haired woman finally deigned to drop into a crouch so she wasn't forcing half the room to ogle her ass and pulled the downed cadet over her shoulders with all the reverence of a deer carcass.

"I'll take him back to his room. Maybe Althea should try saving the career of the man sobbing on the floor with a shattered knee cap?" Leblanc offered to Leon, tone indifferent to the suffering caused only to start whistling a merry tune as she swaggered past the entering group of cadets with her hunky cargo in tow.
