Reluctantly retired roleplayer.

Except when I'm not.

Why are you here when you should be writing posts?

You can edit a bad draft, but you cannot edit a blank page.

It would seem I'm mainly the one with designs on Dick.

Uh, I wouldn't be so sure of that.

Poking my head in since this is something I've been interested in for a while. So I read that the first 'season' is wrapping up and the second 'season' is going to open up soon. I remember the first part being fairly limited in what you could choose as a character, so my question is what kind of things will open up in the second part? Sidekicks? Different versions of villains? What kind of things will be up for grabs in the next phase?

As far as it has been discussed in here, villains are remaining off the table. Likewise I don't think we'll be seeing any true legacy characters yet in the vein of Robin as like it was previously stated that even with the time skip for Season 2 accounted for, most heroes have only been active for roughly six months. Still very much in their first year so I can't see Batman taking on a Robin or Green Arrow picking up a Speedy.

'Course that's not to say that Dick Grayson or Roy Harper couldn't be played with the right concept and a strong sheet.
@Bounce I was unaware you left the game. That's unfortunate, but as always it was a pleasure seeing your concepts.

Who else has left out of curiosity?

*Cue slideshow featuring Sarah McLachlan's timeless classic, 'I Will Remember You'.*

EDIT:

Nightrunner as Wolverine
Inkarnate as Wonder Woman (Came back for the finale)
stark as Iron Man
Tackytaff as Mockingbird
The Angry Goat as Shade
ErsatzEmperor as Doctor Strange
Bounce as Green Lantern
GreenGrenade as Green Arrow
Blue Demon as Deathcry
Hexaflexagon as Black Widow
BlackSam3091 as Black Canary

And I think we had a Black Panther for a hot second but there's no evidence of a CS in the character tab.

That's... not what I said. Nor what you said.

You said it'd take Angel light-years - while referencing the amount of time it would take for travel without faster than lightspeed abilities - to get from place to place. Light-years is distance. That's like saying it would take Angel miles to get from place to place when speaking of time. What you meant was it would take decades to centuries to travel from system to system without FTL. Regardless of your speed, if you're going from a system that is (X) light-years away you'd be traveling those (X) light-years no matter how faster you're moving. Because it's a measurement of distance. Not speed.

Also, six trillion miles would be one light-year exactly. But you know that because you used Google-fu to try and show me up, despite doing so incorrectly.

Obviously, the real measurement of speed is parsecs.
On a topic, that Star Lord can jump on me with if he wants, I always feel like the cosmic side of these games is severely lacking in any type of gumption and rarely well executed. You more often than not just get players running around for a while, feeling lonely, trying to shoehorn their way into meeting other cosmic characters or trying to find their way to Earth.

Just my two cents.

I feel as though Cosmic Characters are great for confident writers who are looking to world build and aren't overly interested in interaction so much as they are telling their own narrative. Due to the vastness of the combined universe's space and the vagueness of most lore around cosmic elements in both DC and Marvel, there's a lot more freedom which can be overwhelming for some players.

Honestly, if Star Lord hadn't grabbed the GotG, I may have gone for them or combined them with Thor to do an 'Asgardians of the Galaxy' hybrid team.

I think on the lightyears thing, he means that things in space are so absurdly far apart that he needs to go FTL to reach them in any reasonable amount of time(EDIT: Reread the post and saw what you meant, whoops).@Omega Man, if this is the problem, maybe Archangel can instead open rifts with his powers that allow him to effectively warp-drive across the Universe?

Why not just get a ship which can also double as a base of operations?

I legit want to make this a thing.

On a sidenote, all this talk about Hulk. If secondary characters were a thing I'd claim him. I feel like I'd have a good story to tell as him, as I've got notes around here somewhere.

Multiple characters are bad for the health of the RP :P
You can't write a sex scene between Thor and the City.

Is that a statement, or a challenge?

Sounds like someone just issued a challenge, to me.

When the city is rockin', don't come knockin'.
