D E T A I L E D A P P E A R A N C E: Skin a lovely rich shade of caramel, Nala's dark skin is complemented very well with her gentle facial features. Alluring brown eyes, a charming slender nose and plump, luscious lips, all come together to form a comely appearance most would appreciate and consider pleasant. Apart from several healed cuts and scrapes from her careless youth and other sports injuries, her complexion is free of any major scars or blemishes. Those coffee brown eyes are just as expressive as they are alluring. Often carrying a message that her words do not, one can often tell how she feels when words fail her. A warm sense of nurturing kindness can usually found in their gaze. Her usually neat and straight waist-level black hair is usually either worn free, tied up in a pony tail or elaborately braided behind her back. She eats well, and leads a frequent and highly physical lifestyle. The life she leads allows her to maintain a fit and toned figure despite being a big eater. Blessed with feminine curves and a toned body, she is proud and confident of her figure, and takes great pride in maintaining it. Her preferred clothing are usually in comfortable baggy or form fitting sports attire, or even a combination of the two, depending on her current mood. She tends to dress simply, without any resemblance off extravagance or her energetic personality. Favouring the pants over dresses or skirts for their practicality, she is usually clad in some form of pants or jeans, the only other exception being found in shorts when she engages in highly physical activity such as sports. Her favourite colours include, black, shades of grey along with white. She isn’t opposed to vibrant colours, but they aren’t usually her style, unless she happens to chance upon a printed t-shirt or any other clothing that catches her eye. She can usually be seen in a sports bra(usually from Underarmour) over a hoodie/jacket, along with pants or leggings from sports brands such as Nike or Adidas. Her footwear are similarly branded sports shoes that matches well with the rest of her outfit. M O T I V A T I O N S & G O A L S: I’d like to explore her being thrown into a new and foreign environment for her, and to explore the life of the American schooling she has heard so much of after living in London for most of her life, but has never been part of her life until now. I’ve love her to meet others, make new friends and establish relationships with the rest of the excellent trove of PCs out there. Another thing I would like to explore is to discover that this magic thing actually goes further back in her bloodline and family tree that she knows. Her parents don’t know about the connection, and the discovery only comes to light by chance later on. She often tries to emulate the behaviour of her parents as she grew, I would like her to eventually realise that she doesn't need to be a copy of her parents, or live in her shadow, and watch as she comes in her own, by walking her own path but still retaining the core values and beliefs her family holds dear.

The only daughter of an English businessman who married his American sweetheart in America, before moving back to London, Nala has lived in England for the most of her life. She has been to the US with the family several times, but is otherwise pretty much a foreigner to the country despite being half-American. Coming from a long line of wealthy businessmen the led all the way back to the Victorian era, The Johnsons were most definitely old money.

Despite the stereotypes associated with rich spoiled brats, her parents had always educated her on being humble and the importance of being down-to-earth and generous to others when possible. The saying the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree describes her well, possessing the passionate and energetic nature of her mother along with the intelligence and open minded nature of her father.Nala isn’t the type to cause conflicts or fights unnecessarily, and she is not a drama-queen in any sense of the word, and I hope that others will like her kind, affable and energetic personality as well as I do.

As much as I love her making friends, I'd also be open to exploring other areas. If she's the type that gets on your character's nerves, we can always go for them being rivals or enemies even! I'd love to play out anything interesting relationships-wise!

- Bright and exuberant, it is rare to find her without a smile on her face. Naturally fun-loving and passionate, Nala loves having fun, and she works just as hard as she plays hard. It is natural for her to devote all her attention to something once it catches her eye, and she stays focused on it until it is finished or something better/shiner comes along.

- She is devoted and committed to those she loves and befriends.

- Although she can initially seem to be stubborn and insist on doing things her way, once you get her to see reason and logic, she usually does not mind giving alternatives a try. She is not an academic learner, faring better in learning by doing instead of by reading and listening. Her results in school has always been decently average, with nothing special to boast or be upset about.

- Relishing challenges, she is not one to turn down when challenged. Brave and possessing a determined mind and a never-say-die attitude, she was brought up to stand up for your beliefs. She can be loud when she needs to be, and equally fierce when the occasion calls for it to stand up for herself or others she cares about.

- She has a habit of being called no-filter, meaning that she says what she thinks, and she is never the type to beat around the bush. She is direct and succinct, and goes straight to the point. When people go to her for opinions about things, they know that they'll be getting the honest truth without any bullshit.

- Apart from playing tennis, she also loves dancing and enjoys crafts such as woodcarving and pottery.

D E T A I L E D A P P E A R A N C E: Charlie dresses as he's been taught to do; appropriately. Uni-colored shirts, dark pants, brown shoes. The summer brings t-shirts, shorts and sandals. His thick, black hair is arguably his greatest visual asset, finely combed above his round, somewhat plump face. Of average height and above average weight, Charlie is the kind of chubby that largely goes unnoticed in clothing but quickly becomes uncomfortable in swimming trunks. He's already capable of growing facial hair worthy of someone twice his age, but opts to be perfectly clean-shaven in accordance with what his mother considers appropriate. Charlie has a reserved way about him in school and seldomly smiles cordially, nor does he seek eye-contact (though he doesn't avoid it either). Outside of school, especially when working at Crestwood Special School, he tends to be more jovial. His posture is near perfect, with a straight back and eyes gazing towards the horizon. M O T I V A T I O N S & G O A L S: Charlie is very invested in St. John's and working with those in special need in general, not necessarily just children. He's committed to his studies and intends to enroll university in behavioral sciences, or possibly psychology. While Charlie has little interest in walking in his father's footsteps (something Josef worked very hard to have Chaldrie do), he does consider getting good grades and enrolling in a reputable university a good way to pay respects to his father. Upon discovering his Hexenbrut origin and all it entails, Charlie will ravenously tap his newfound potential. Up until that point he'd always considered himself unfortunate; yes, he's wealthy and sure, he's smart - but what has that gotten him? There are few outside of St. John's who know him well, and even fewer he'd consider to be friends. Discovering that he's a freaking wizard (his words) will help his mental outlook substantially and serve as a catalyst for Charlie to try and become the man he wants to be - both for himself and those who need him. To become a role model and to possibly use his powers to alleviate those in need. Indeed, to become something of a hero.

C H A R A C T E R C O N C E P T:

Charlie has a wealthy background. His father Josef was a Polish engineer by trade who served as the CTO of the American offices of a large Russian conglomerate, while Charlie's Russian mother Misha serves as the principal of St. John's Special Needs Services.

Josef was not a bad man, but he was stern and expected a lot of his only child, domineering Charlie's childhood with very strict parenting. After Josef died of a heart attack a year and a half ago, Charlie has started working extra at the special needs school his mother has been running for the past eighteen years. Here, Charlie has found something he truly enjoys. Helping kids with special needs have given Charlie a sense of purpose he previously lacked, and he has slowly started coming out of his rigid, cautious shell outside of that establishment as well.

Charlie is intelligent and strong-willed, but suffers from a lack of confidence and a poor self-image. Working at St. John's has helped, but there's still some way to go. He'd not consider himself bullied, but he's certainly been picked on in the past both verbally and physically. These days, he's largely a wallflower. Charlie is entirely unaware of the supernatural realm actually existing but does have an interest in the concept: he's read plenty of material on legends and folklore, both local and otherwise. A form of escapism in a household where stuff like video games were never accepted.

* Conversationalist; Charlie might not be a particularly gifted speaker, but his command of language would surely deserve it. He speaks Polish and Russian fluently as well as conversational Spanish and French. Moreover, he's learned braille and sign language at St. John's.

* A nearly entirely white hawk has been turning up around John more and more frequently the past few years. At least, he thinks it's the same hawk.

* While Charlie dislikes conflict and shies away from it, he'd rather get pummeled than be made to do something he doesn't want to - his father did enough of that. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this has also lead to him getting just that on occasion - pummeled.

* Charlie lives on a very large property in a wealthy area on the outskirts of Crestwood Hollow. He's inherited something of a fortune from his father which he'll gain control over when he turns 21.

* He's been brought up Orthodox, but doesn't really consider himself religious.

D E T A I L E D A P P E A R A N C E: Kwesi is particularly average as far as height is concerned, standing at around 5 ft 7 in, with a sturdy-looking frame to him. He doesn’t have the muscle mass of a football player, but neither can he be considered particularly “skinny”; he’s well filled out with well-defined upper body muscles (though you wouldn’t know it at first glance), for which he has his fondness for practical hands-on hobbies to thank. His complexion can be described as dark, and he keeps his face clean shaven. In stark contrast to this, Kwesi’s hairstyle can be described as rather loose and perhaps even “scruffy” or a “mop top”. You can call it what you like, but he’s happy wearing it this way and that’s all that matters. His brown eyes are often easy to miss, as they don’t particularly stand out from the rest of his features, but if you were to look there you would find they are always curious and attentive, taking note of everything around him and trying to suss it all out. Known to stuff his hands into his pockets by default, Kwesi’s demeanor is often considered “nervous” by strangers, as he can be somewhat jittery and a bit shy when first meeting a new face. Don’t mistake his nerves for unkindness, however, he will always greet his fellows with a smile on his face and a polite dip of his head and/or wave. But it will take some time and interactions before he will feel comfortable enough around anyone to really open up enough to start joking around, or indeed to talk about his past or his family. He doesn’t speak of what happened to his mother, though he misses her dearly every day, Kwesi is determined to move on with his life and make it as good as he possibly can, because he knows it’s what she would want him to do. Kwesi prefers the “simple and comfortable” dress style, often found in jeans or cargo pants and sneakers, with a vibrantly colourful t-shirt, sometimes completely plain and sometimes with a geometric-style print somewhere on it; he shies away from clothing which belongs to a specific “brand” and instead prefers to wear something that is simply enough to be eye-catching. Zip-up hoodies are his jacket of choice, the comfier the better. He is never found without the rose gold coloured seashell locket around his neck, while the pendant is most certainly “girly” in fashion, it belonged to his mother and holds great emotional and sentimental value to Kwesi, so he almost never takes it off. Inside of the locket is a picture of Kwesi and his parents. M O T I V A T I O N S & G O A L S: I went with a foreign exchange student truthfully because I am extremely British and really have no idea how the schooling system works in the States, so while Kwesi is learning the ropes, I am too! For Kwesi’s story, I would love for him to meet people, create some friendships and connections with other PCs and eventually have him become more comfortable and settled into life in the country and at the school. Ultimately discover the magic thing alongside the rest of the group, perhaps during the course of this he will discover the truth behind his mother’s death (to do with her status as a Magni and her former life essentially catching up to her) and have to deal with the shock/accept it all over again now that he knows the real circumstances (also coming to terms with fact mom essentially “lied” to him by withholding said info. Prolly gonna need friends to help him through it or else he’ll just turn into an emotional powder-keg and bad things will occur.) I want to try and keep him as good-natured/cheerful as possible, with just a little hint of drama and angst later on to add some more layers onto his backstory, but otherwise I’m trying to avoid making the character that always causes conflicts, that’s become my comfort zone a bit and I want to push the boat out a little!

C H A R A C T E R C O N C E P T:

Originally hailing from a small town on the South coast of England, Kwesi has only recently moved to the US with his father after an unfortunate accident a year prior left them grieving the loss of Kwesi’s mother. The loss hit Kwesi hard initially, considering the mysterious circumstances around his mother’s demise; she simply never came home from work one day and was found dead by police approximately 3 days later.

Both Kwesi and his father struggled to come to terms with the missing link of their family, so when his father was presented with an opportunity for a “fresh start” in Crestwood Hollow, he decided to take it. Kwesi was apprehensive, but agreed to that the change may do them good and so they packed up and moved to the small town. His father purchased a fishing boat with the savings he had managed to accrue and now works as a trawler off the local docks.

Though Kwesi is unaware of the existence of magic, he has always felt there was something his mother was hiding from him and his father. Something strange, though the boy had never figured out what it was, he wondered if that “something” had anything to do with her sudden and unexplained death.

C H A R A C T E R N O T E S:

> Analytical and will do his best to understand things but is still the victim of a very steep learning curve. Struggles academically because of said learning curve; is not “stupid”, but is definitely “slow” because the subject matter is presented in a different way to what he’s used to, and he struggles to comprehend the information in front of him. He will get it eventually, it just may take him a bit longer than usual.

> Kindle: Kwesi’s first pet, given to him for his 12th birthday by his mother shortly before her “accident”. Kwesi has had him ever since and feels a deep connection to Kindle but assumes this is because of two factors: his mom bought the snake for him, and he has had Kindle since the snake was very young and fit in the palm of his hands, rather than any sort of magical connection.

> Kwesi’s father owns a fishing boat, named the “Grace” (after Kwesi’s mother) and when he isn’t busy with school work, his other hobbies, or socializing with classmates, he can often be found at the docks helping his dad maintain the boat, or accompanying his father on a fishing trip.

D E T A I L E D A P P E A R A N C E: A broad physique with exceptionally toned muscles help to give Felix his 'hot jock' indentifier of his school. He stands tall and proud, walking with confidence, conviction, and motivation while unintentionally intimidating any acquaintances that he comes across. A stern expression seems to always be present, masking any underlying emotions that he may have. A small, yet consistent habit of clenching his teeth bring attention to his chiseled jawline that frame his otherwise soft features. Felix's blue eyes display vividly between dark eyelashes, often being depicted first when facing most people. Felix's style typically consists of his varsity-letter football jacket, but as of late, he sports more casual clothes. He chooses to wear clothes that are plain and not loud, the majority of his wardrobe being that of neutral colors to pair with jeans or chinos, topped off with either white or black sneakers. Aside from a more mundane way of dressing, Felix is always sure to leave the house with his hair styled nicely, taking pride in his hair cut that he gets from his barber nearly every two weeks. M O T I V A T I O N S & G O A L S: Not much motivates Felix from day to day. While he has an innate way to achieve what he wants with determination, he finds nothing to truly motivate him other than his competitive nature. As of late, he has begun to fall out from his productivity, becoming lost in the solitude of his own mind. A glimpse of a goal sometimes reaches the surface of his imagination, conspiring of different methods to get out of Crestwood Hollow without looking back. Such a goal is often dismissed as he can’t see much past graduation.

Felix’s parents always believed that everything belonged in a system to create the many things life required to be tranquil—organized, equal, just, secure. His parents and their wide influence were revered throughout New Hampshire, holding many titles such as: business people, social activists, founders of donation organizations, etc. The list has become much too long to cite every professional title that they take great pride in—thus it’s safe to say that they are, in fact, undoubtedly strict.

It was instilled within Felix to become better than his best at everything, which would imply a more promising future, but it instead conjured a mix of detrimental qualities that he struggles with to date. It became a hard battle, trying to win the affection of his parents, combined with their lack of recognition from his achievements, no matter how sizeable they were. Without consolation, nor succor, from them, Felix began to deal with a lot of emotions beneath the thick surface of his iron skin. Self-hatred, depression, anger—all tangled among the dark thoughts that infested his mind, clad with a robotic determination, striving to be better than who he was yesterday. Though seemingly contradicting, it became an unending war within himself.

In the recent year, Felix began a sudden decline in terms of his mental health, though he masks it with his signature short-tempered and frustrated attitude. During a homecoming game, Felix publicly brawled a member of his team for a game-changing mistake, resulting in his expulsion from the varsity team. This was not only seen as a failure to him, but a brutal punch to the reputation of his parents. The student-body began to reject and avoid him, while his parents were so indulged in disappointment that they no longer believed in the potential success for Felix. While his siblings began to excel with their own academics, he turned to isolation in his bedroom and working at the local coffee shop for a means of detachment from his plummeting life. But it’s with his coming self-discovery that Felix will begin to rise from his mistakes and start to change the colors of his personality. As of now, Felix is mundane and bleak, hoping for some miracle to pull him out that would require little effort for him.

- Felix’s conduit is a gold chain bracelet that was gifted to him by his ex-girlfriend that he is still hung up on. While they aren’t on speaking terms as of right now, Felix still feels an immense love for her and hasn’t gotten over her.

- Felix dated the head cheerleader for around three years, becoming a power couple among their high school. Due to recent events, they’ve broken up and it’s been a big gossip among the student body. Her name is Claire.

- Felix has very little friends and mainly keeps to himself.

- Felix works at the local coffee shop, called ‘Joe’s Cafe’. It’s a very cozy and aesthetic coffee house.

EDIT: I'd be totally down to play two characters if you would allow for it. But I know that some GMs prefer their players to have their primary focus on just one character, and I totally get that.

Could always keep him as a back up character in the event anything happens to your current one but otherwise with our cast size I think it's best to stick to one character per player for the time being.
