The GM should know exactly why each character was or wasn't accepted and be willing to state such. But the reality is that sometimes other characters/players just synergize better

Yeah but GL doesn't have good video games, grundy showing up in batman really hurts my rep power. Now that we mention it though, GL did live in gotham for awhile. Hmmm. You think gcpd would expense a lantern symbol right next to batman's?

Yeah I feel that, but it's very awkward for me to just ping people for their villains so I'm shy about it. There's also the case of some villains just crossing over when they feel like it, like solomon. It's cool fighting a giant zombie, but i guess i have to ping batman too later.
I think Grundy is originally an Alan Scott villain if memory serves so he really could be yours.

can i mess around with other villains? Like are parasite and rhino okay?
You'd have to ask the respective parent character player in the case of those examples. If the villain doesn't belong to another player's rogue gallery, should be good to go.
It's also worth noting that it'd be better not to put questions on hiders lest they get missed.
He's somewhat established, but obviously spends most of his time off-Earth.
The world views "Green Lantern" as a hero, and one of their brighter heroes from what they've seen of him... but people on Earth have very little perspective on their place in the greater universe at large, and no idea at all about the negative reputation the Green Lantern Corps has been starting to develop.
-Helicopter crash -Search for Ish -Pilots dead, something oozing from ears -Madripoor, Vlatava, Markovia -Note that Team 7 has been officially ordered not to intervene in the Legion of Doom's activities. -Introduce the mission better, talk about H.I.V.E. -Bury bodies -Take uniforms and boots, team walks in pairs to cover tracks and make it seem like the pilots escaped and went AWOL.

POV: Crawford -Crawford, Lance and Daniels continue to search for Ish, seeing him loaded onto a transport before being ambushed and subsequently captured.
The first real piece of evidence that supported the existence of H.I.V.E. had been found by Team 7 in Vlatava. The trail then picked up in Markovia only to lead to Madripoor. From Madripoor the team had been able to make the connection to Qurac, which lead them to the rising tensions with its neighbouring country of Bialya.
-Post covers the link to H.I.V.E., introduces drones and the hierarchy before like the rest of the team, Slade, Wintergreen and Fairchild are captured. This post ends Issue 1 and leads into Honey Despot.
Going to aim to get one most post in before the 28th, after that I'll be offline for about a week while I'm on my Honeymoon and then back to business as usual.
POV: Ish Ish captured Hallucinating while being dragged through desert Fourth man from helicopter, operating solely on 'programming' as a HIVE drone. Ends with Ish being loaded into a transport, thinking it's medical, only to realize it's HIVE.
The moon had changed position in the sky. Dr. David Isherwood forced his eyes to follow the pale orb above his head, struggling to regain consciousness fully. Slade's plan had made sense, however, what Ish didn't anticipate was the stray bullet that struck him when his Ikon suit overloaded. With no defences, the bullet had been able to pass unhindered, burying itself deep into his shoulder. Another three inches down, and Ish wouldn't be breathing, let alone processing why he was moving.
Ish flashback? Establish the old guard dynamic between Slade, Wintergreen and Ish? Flashback ends, revealing it was Ish's way of building a mental fortress to protect against HIVE torture/mind probes.
Armed men lined the streets of Al-Doha forcing the pair of operatives into the shadows of the nearby alley. The Quraci capital was in a complete state of turmoil. Sulieman's forces had placed the city under lockdown due to threats against the dictator's own life. Waller had sent Slade and Wintergreen in as a part of a special task force to help General Marlo overthrow the dictator.
