Hey all,

I've decided to formally withdraw from the RP as both a Co-GM and as a player. Given that I've left Blitzkrieg in an incarcerated state, he's effectively written out of the game at this point so that makes it easy enough in terms of cleaning up. I just haven't had the motivation to continue on with this game in quite some time and would rather focus my creative energies elsewhere.

All the best moving forward and I hope this game continues for a long time!

Whether they're dual mounted mini-crossbows or one large crossbow is up to her as she has proficiency to use both. She's once used a single bolt to split a bullet in two. ► Criminology - She grew up in a criminal environment and later spent a few years surrounded by gangs and criminals. If there ever was a street-wise hero who stayed on the straight and narrow it would be her. ► Driving - She is an effective driver, able to pilot vehicles in high stress and combat situations as well as her own motorcycle at varying degrees of above-average driving situations (being shot at, accelerating to high speeds and over semi-separated bridges). ► Firearms - Over the years, she has realized that firing and reloading bolts at armed individuals may not be the most effective even if they were the most non-lethal. She has adapted her arsenal over time to include various firearms. ► Martial Arts - Huntress was very much a street fighter before honing her skills in martial arts. She spent many years getting into intentional fights just to prove and test her mettle. She has since fine-tuned her skills after years of work with her uncle in Sicily and learned various disciplines of martial arts through his people and connections. ► Multilingualism - She can speak both English and Italian fluently. ► Peak Human Condition - She works hard to keep her body in peak physical condition and often trains to maintain and improve her physique. ► Stealth - Huntress can be very stealthy when she needs to. C H A R A C T E R C O N C E P T C H A R A C T E R C O N C E P T ________________________________________________________________________________________ Helena Bertinelli was born into the life of one of the most powerful mafia empires of Gotham City and her birthright was like that of a princess being prepared to take her throne in the criminal underworld. She, alongside her older brother, grew up studying and learning the footsteps and philosophies of her father’s empire who would often paint his vision for the city as “making their home a much better place” while their mother secretly encouraged them to follow their own path, hoping to protect them from spiraling into a point of no return. At the age of eight, she witnessed the murder of her mother, father, and brother, which left her in shambles until her uncle in Sicily took her under his care, only to teach her the importance of “blood crying for blood”—revenge. After spending her teenage and young adult years training, she returned to Gotham City, only to be appalled by the full extent of the city’s corruption seemingly being at an all-time high, remembering the words of her mother encouraging her not to follow this way of life. However, it wasn’t enough to prevent her from finally exacting revenge on her family’s murderer. What finally opened her eyes was the sight of his illegitimate four-year-old daughter witnessing her father’s murder by Helena's hands, much like she did when she was a child. All hell breaks loose in the mansion when she gets caught and barely manages to escape with her life. Like an act of God, her battered, unconscious body is found in an alleyway by a well-meaning senior doctor who owns his own corner clinic downtown dedicated to serving poorer clients. The two quickly become friends when she shares the same sentiments as him of not wanting more defenseless, innocent people getting hurt or falling into the clutches of corruption. With this, she abandons her old life—including her riches and all ties to her extended family, leaving her resentful uncle to replace her father's place in the Bertinelli Mafia—and takes on the “Huntress” identity, using her background and skills as a crusade against organized crime while meeting familiar, and newer, adversaries along the way. P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) ________________________________________________________________________________________ Huntress was my first choice to play as before I settled on Starfire. This character archetype has been one of my favorite kinds to play as in games and I never get tired of it. I love the idea of playing a female vigilante with an upbringing and bloodline that goes deep into the recesses of the underworld who, through a fateful and life-changing event, eventually weaponizes this background as an undertaking to eliminate crime and other threats that are staggeringly rampant in the city. She realizes soon enough that there are even more devastating enemies that she can't fight against, and even gets into a situation that is hard for her to escape from, which I hope to write about early on as a way to engage one, or more, players to come to her aid. Similar to my approach that I had planned for Starfire, I'm very interested in her making allies and friends (the characters of everyone in this RP) that are also determined to uphold peace and justice at all costs since she cannot carry out this endeavor by herself.
