Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

I'm happy with the party idea, it'll be fun for the whole family, but right now Abel stands in the cafeteria reading Gren's text and not knowing anything.
<Snipped quote by Lugubrious>

Sorry boss, I got confused. I thought the Deli was part of the cafeteria, like one of those mall restaurants in the food court. I didn't think they were a legitimately separate building away from the cafeteria.

I had also previously edited sometime after my post, but before Seraph posted, to include Sapphire in the text.

Ah, I see Thank you.
Fleo Plector – Phoenix Wing Stands

@hatakekuro

What might have been a deep conversation was cut short as the current battle consumed Nolan's attention. Fleo shrugged and allowed the action to recapture her attention too, since her interest in the topic of Nolan's unique brand of heroism neither engaged her nor felt quite correctly formulated. It didn't suit Fleo to delve into personal psychological or moral particulars. Not examining her shortsighted ruminations further, and instead turning her focus back in the Games she was here to watch in the first place, was the better option by half.

Zephyr's spectacle, though flashy and intense, was not fully comprehended by Fleo until he explained it in disbelief. A glance at the swordsman confirmed that what he'd witnessed had, for some reason, affected him drastically. Nolan's statement was not, however, terribly enlightening, and the dusty woman found skepticism in her heart. ”A god? I'm not sure if that's right. Sure, there are some really powerful beings out there, ones with magic that might seem pretty godlike, but a true God is beyond all things.” Fleo lifted one of her arms and looked at it, as if she were peering right through the bandages. Her normally upbeat face now looked solemn. ”A true God can't be taken over, or slain.” She watched, but did not cheer, when Zephyr triumphed over Harry. Tough Love just couldn't catch a break, she seemed, though Dragon Fang looked to be in good shape.

Indigo Afina – Painting Booth

@liferusher

While the painter painted, the reader read, but Indigo also narrowed her eyes in veiled frustration. She had expected that Isla would attempt to work whatever charm she'd used previously on Ike to trap the Librarian inside her painting, which the book that she'd been holding would have helped her with. It seemed, however, that Isla wouldn't be attempting any funny business this time. Indigo received her painting with a polite smile before blowing on it a few times to make sure the paint was dry and ready for conveyance. Unbeknownst to Isla, however, she also used it to hide the fact that she swapped out A Tale of Two Sons for another one of her tomes.

A few seconds passed, during which Indigo examined Isla closely. The people behind her were getting slightly irritated—why was she holding up the line now that she'd received her painting? If Indigo was aware of the increasing oddity of the situation, however, she gave no sign. Instead, she began to speak. When she did so, something had altered her voice, giving it more of an imperial edge, the deepness of the commander. ”I hereby order you: if I ask you something, you may not attempt to do anything but tell me the truth. If you disobey in any way, be it a lie, an attack, a call for help, or an attempt to flee, you will become unable to move one of your limbs.” She smiled innocently and held up the book she'd just requipped: the Order. ”Not bad for only a few seconds of thought! You're cornered now. So tell me, and you had better tell the truth: what have you done with my friend Ike?” A haughty, pleased air surrounded Indigo. It was the air of someone in control.

Cecilia Lenin

@Raijinslayer

A long look from Cecilia pored over Argus. Something was boiling inside him, but it wasn't evil. Resentment was there, sure as death and taxes, but another feeling more fiendish than a demon festered within him. Though no psychiatrist, Cecilia thought she could recognize it. The very same apparition had haunted her mind in her childhood, and even now, long after she'd made her peace with it and laid it to rest, it continued to stab at her from beyond the grave.

This thing was self-pity, and it was incompatible to the life of a noble warrior.

As she observed Argus with the cautious and concerned intrigue of a zoologist studying a wild animal, she could classify what plagued him but not dream up a method of helping him. Despite her best wishes as a young knight wanting to help others, it was beyond her power to try and heal the mind of a monster. Worry had worked its way onto Cecilia's features, but miraculously it now melted into a cautious optimism. I can't help him or integrate him, but I know who might be able to! In her mind were the oddly-shaped silhouettes of a War Sphinx, a naga, an oni, and a Hermit: Ni Rensa, Arivaderci, Enma, and Ludo. Just as she'd said, Frenzy Plant was no stranger to inhuman warriors. As soon as Argus understood that, he'd fit in as well as anyone else.

Holding her hands behind her back, she took a step toward the Crimson Demon. ”I know what'll help take Magni off your mind. I can show you the way to the Doma Flau to meet the rest of the crew. Heisty will let Zander know you passed; you can work your way up the ranks some other time. We ought to arrive in the arena in time to see the final fights of the day. Plus, there are some people I want you to meet. Ready?

Nero the Genie – Antiques Shop

@Invisible Man

Grinning, Nero proceeded with the operation. The insertion proved quick and easy, for he simply reached into Eve's throat, phasing through the skin as if it were a sheet of water, and when he withdrew his hand nothing remained in his clutches. If Nero's companion was being observant, she'd more than likely take note that judging by the confidence and precision with which Nero performed the trait transplant, he'd done such an operation before.

”There! All fixed up, time to give your new voice a whirl? I wonder what the first thing my favorite person in the world is going to say? How wonderful I am? What time it is? How you feel? Go on, slip me some dulcet tones!” Now, it seemed, Nero's recovery from dire events not so long ago was nearly complete. With a genuine, though admittedly still unsettling, smile on his face, and his aptitude for goofing around returned, it appeared that this jaunt to the antiques store had been exactly what he'd needed to forget about the travesty that was Gabriel.
I read the entire OOC to find a trace of the person who wants to play Midna and found nothing. Doesn't matter though, I'm very much done with that. A post rate equivalent to molasses and an inability for anyone to interact with me made me less than enthusiastic to continue.

Oh, and one other thing.
Let's eat at the cafeteria for lunch. I also want to introduce you to an old friend of mines, I didn't realize he was also a hunter here at Beacon. You should be able to find me rather easily.
Gren

This is the text message that Gren sent his team. He, Shiro, and Abel are meeting at the cafeteria. None of them are appearing in the new deli, as your previous post suggests.
DIO has not been nerfed, he's got a legitimate reason for not using the incredible powers he has.

He's also going to be about as interested in the villains as he is with the heroes, which is not much. To him, his is the only side that matters, and his motives the only ones worth pursuing.

I'm almost certainly going to make a second character, one with a more dedicated side.
Aw, Shiro's contest entry doesn't mention Abel once.
I didn't say anything about faunus (spelled with a u, by the way) in my post, Lucius.
I'm kind of wary, but I'm willing to accept that it won't be used if GS is. I just hope there will be an IC justification for this.

The justification is written into his personality. He is almost totally disinterested in this crossover world and its inhabitants, seeing them as inconsequential. He wouldn't waste so much of an ounce of his strength if there was an alternative. Even if someone does actually try and oppose him, he'd rather try and turn him or her to his side (via dealing, persuasion, rationalization, offerings, or his charisma) than fight them. Furthermore, he prefers sending subordinates to do his dirty work for him rather than engaging himself. Plus, if he were to use his stand offensively there's the chance that someone might figure out the World's secret, and that wouldn't be good for him. That's why that he'd use it only to make his movement safe if at all.

DIO actually has the capacity to be one of the most passive characters in this RP in terms of combat, if not action. His motivation is not to hurt people or gain control--merely to get back to his own universe to prepare for his enemies.
@Shoryu: A maximum two characters is allowed as of now.

@Flamelord: Could you please refrain from mentioning spoilers for Symphogear? It's a very recent series and several players including myself want to watch it relatively spoiler-free.

@Lugubrious: Please edit your bio to mention that he's not capable of using his time-stop, just to make it clear.

Also, um, I'm co-GM apparently so going to be chiming in with things every now and again and helping GS with bios when asked. She's still in charge of actually accepting or declining them for the moment though.

I'll be taking the GM's word over yours in this case...

<Snipped quote by Grey Star>

I'll have him not use it, or only use it for 'teleporting', if that'd be okay.

@Lugubrious Dio's acceptable under those conditions yes.

@Black Alice Yeah, she's in.

Name: DIO

Universe: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

Appearance:

Personality: Dio is naturally intelligent; manifesting between cunning, perceptiveness, comprehension and/or foresight. As a result of a passion for reading, he is also very knowledgeable about the world. He is consistently manipulative and violently domineering, apparently lacking much conscience or empathy. Dio will normally not attack anything or anybody unless provoked (although probably more out of regarding them as inconsequential, and so not worthy of attention, than anything akin to kindness). Even when trying to remove an obstacle, he will first try persuading people to work for him, and only fight them if they oppose. He does not hold the capacity to truly love anyone.

Powers/Skills: Dio is a cunning, charming and intelligent individual. In addition to Stand users, whom Avdol and Joseph suggest he recruits through sheer charm or charisma, he has charmed many women through his life.

Dio attains massive strength as a Vampire, allowing him feats such as forcibly walking on walls and single-handedly deflecting attacks. Dio can regenerate his body faster than fire can consume it. His incredible vitality is maintained by consuming human beings (or their blood), which he commonly does by piercing them with his fingers. Like all JoJo vampires, Dio sucks blood through tentacles in his fingers and has been seen at least once drinking blood from an unnamed girl. His body is able to live even after having vital body parts amputated and he can also control his detached body parts. Dio is also able to pressurize liquid in his eyeballs and then create small openings in his pupils, eventually creating two fluid jets (referred to by others as "Space Ripper Stingy Eyes") powerful enough to slice stone.

Dio's humanoid Stand is The World; facilitating melee attack roughly equal in its immense force and speed to Jotaro's Star Platinum. For reference, it can punch many times per second, a single one of which is capable of punching through a living body. It's most notable ability, however, is its power to stop time, during which Dio can move and act freely. His current limit is nine seconds.

Brief Bio: Where to begin? Dio Brando was born back in the 1800s to poverty and an abusive father, but his evil goes beyond upbringing. When given the chance, he employed whatever methods he could to get ahead. When offered the kindness of the Joestar household as payment for his father's debt, he worked to upstage and ruin the life of young Jonathan Joestar, but in the end it was Dio that was destroyed. He then willingly relinquished his humanity to a stone mask to become a vampire, and the rest, as they say, is history.

He has been stolen from the timeline during the events of Part 3, not long before the heroes find his place of dwelling. Naturally, with important matters afoot he wants to return, and is not much interested in wasting his strength on anyone here. He is not totally opposed to gathering new recruits for his army of followers, however.

Equipment: Ten knives and a book

Others: Obviously, Dio is really, really powerful. However, he does not break the criteria in rule #2. His power is balanced by his personality; if he has no investment in any of the other characters or events, he is not likely to take action, and even if someone opposes them he'd rather try to persuade them to join his side than to fight them.

Name: Filia

Universe: Skullgirls

Appearance:

Personality:  Filia is a kind and friendly young lady, with the tendency to give people the benefit of the doubt and approach them in a friendly manner. Consequently, this also makes Filia rather naïve, as she struggles to identify hostile persons without being explicitly told so and even then hesitates to fight back. Whatever personality she previously had now lies in obscurity after her total amnesia.

Samson is shown to be a brash and rowdy parasitic symbiote. Despite those qualities, he is shown to be quite protective and supportive of Filia It is possible that Samson could know some things that Filia doesn't When Parasoul is defeated against Filia when fighting her, she muttered "You're being...used." before falling out, hinting that Samson's intentions toward Filia might be considerably less than honorable and that he's only using Filia to get what he wants. This is further touched upon during Filia's meeting with Squigly and Leviathan as Leviathan states "I won't idly watch you bring doom to another host!", revealing that Samson has manipulated and even has gotten his previous hosts killed in order to gain what he wants.

Powers/Skills: Filia and Samson share a symbiotic relationship, and it is this relationship that forms the basis for their fighting style. Samson is able to attack from a distance by turning his tendrils into long tentacles with sharp razor-like ends. He can also attack from afar with hairball spit attacks.

Filia herself does not really do any fighting on her own; instead, Samson fights and she just walks him from place to place. Filia seems to have above average possibly super human endurance, which originates from Samson With him in tow, Filia uses chains of swift attacks and moves around the battlefield with volatile mobility. She is capable of performing mix ups that can keep her opponents on their toes as Samson shifts into different shapes and sizes.

Brief Bio: Filia was once just an average schoolgirl, but one day woke up without any memories and a second mouth on the back of her head. She was now playing host to a parasite named Samson, an unruly mop of demonic hair with incredible power.
With no memories or anyone to turn to for help, if she ever hopes to piece together her forgotten past and survive the inevitable clash with the Skullgirl, Filia will need to trust this mysterious being. It is during her search for answers that she was kidnapped from her universe and brought to C4. Though the situation is strange, she is not any better or worse off than in New Meridian, really, and is not opposed to meeting new people.
