Sofia Oaks is an example of resolve, having gone from street urchin to royal guard while still holding onto her idealism and caring heart. Master of the outdated sword, she seeks to somehow become a hero in this gritty world of industry and heartlessness.

Personality: Sofia is a person who exemplifies resolve, having grown up in the streets to not only become a knight, but one of the most accomplished swordsmen - though she did have a natural talent for such. She is kind and cares for others, even though she has had her trust failed many times over, causing her to be guarded. Sofia still believes in others though and the potential of everyone, hoping to somehow play the bit of the hero in her own way. Though she doesn't seem like the type to be a leader, people never the less look to her for her clever way of seeing problems.

Underneath it, she is a romantic and lover, though she carries scars of past relationships. She still pushes forward however, hoping that maybe someday she will find love or find a family of her own, somehow.

Skills

A listing of skills, such as horseback riding or cooking. Levels include novice (1 pt), apprentice (2 pt), journeyman (3 pt), expert (4 pt), master (5 pt). Each character can spend 21 points & only two skills can be mastered. If your character knows magic, it counts as a skill.


Swordsmanship (Master): Sofia was always naturally talented with a blade, even during her younger years when she was forced to use a small knife. Since becoming a knight, she has become one of the master combatants even among veterans. Her style is more focused on single wielding a blade, despite it's supposed impracticality.
Stealth (Apprentice): From her younger years, she can still recall the basics of sneaking through dark alleyways and stepping quietly in a forest.
Lockpicking (Apprentice): Only able to really get past average locks, she can still remember the basics on how to get in without keys.
Parkour (Expert): The art of acrobatics for the purposes of travel, she can fluidly move through her environments whether it is the cities or the forests. To some extent, this can be applied to combat as well.
Sense Motive (Master): From a natural knack of it from trained master, Sofia can sense when someone is lying, trying to bluff, or otherwise mislead her. More importantly however, she can also sense an opponent's skill and read their movements. It's certainly not perfect, but does allow her a notable edge against even other masters in swordsmanship - even against ranged enemies.
Handle Animals (Journeyman): While being a knight, you are expected to ride a horse and train it. Most knights have the ability to handle at least their horses, but Sofia picked up tricks that generally extend to any of the natural animals of the world. This can be used to tame and train any animal, given enough time, especially she still is not an expert - like some rangers.


Magic

A listing of favorite or unique spells, if any.

Stasis Sword: With a swing of the weapon, a ghostly blue ice seems to fly towards the intended target, cutting them in dozens of places. If the target is particularly unconditioned towards the cold, they find themselves moving noticably slower.
Hallowed Bolt: Slicing in front of her causes the air around the target to electrify suddenly, temporarily making it difficult to speak and move as their system is jolted from within and without.
Icewolf Bite: Another swipe of her sword that seems to push out a chilling bite of cold air, though do not be fooled by it's lack of visual indicators. Besides causing minor blunt trauma, it magically makes metals brittle and sometimes break all together if made cheaply - unless magically guarded against.
Ruination: The swing of the blade causes a bright flash to surround the target, burning them with magical energy, making it by far the most damaging technique.

Childhood: Sofia grew up on the streets of Eagrose, orphaned and only raised by a teenage girl, whom she considered to be her only family. Raised from a babe, life was hard as the younger girl could hardly make ends meet and eventually died of starvation herself when Sofia was only seven years old. A life filled with loss and being ignored by most anyone, she turned to thievery for a time. Until she came of age, though she did have a romantic encounter first with a boy that decided to leave her for a rich girl, then a girl that treated her like she was a treasure, until one day she simply disappeared. Though by this point, Sofia was used to being left alone.
Adulthood: Caught by the local guard and thrown into jail for stealing from a lesser noble. However after a conversation with an older knight, she was given the choice to face her crimes or make it up by joining the knights and serving the kingdom. She choose the latter, but no one knew how talented she would be at the blade. Despite her awkwardness in social situations, she was praised for her skill and her surprising kind heart for what she had been through and done. Before long, she heard respect and was invited into the royal guard - though she is still on the look out for love and a family to let in past her walls.

Current Events: Currently, she spends her time serving the crown as a royal guard, though of a lesser rank.
