Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

People cry, not because they are weak. It's because they've been strong for too long

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

Jarvis and Sam

"Well, sure, but also just some time every now and then, to simply just be a family, without all the worry about everything" Jarvis said

Sam made a happy sound when Amelia wrapped a wing around her, reaching to touch the orb closest to her, curirous about it, watching as the light moved away then back. Smiling, she studied them, as if trying to figure out the secret about them.

Jessie

Jessie smiled and gave Ferris's hand a squeeze, settling back happily. Drew seemed to hesitate for a moment, before replying, "I think tne games have lost their way, despite the thrill of it all. It seems that rather then bringing the guilds together, they are tearing them apart. They ahve certainly been eye opening to the amount of powerful wizards out there"

collab between Argus and Leo

Loe appeared bored with Arguss preparations, standing, waiting for him to be ready. He gave the mage an easy smile, shofting just slightly, he raised a hand. "Regulus impact!" he began gathering light on his open right palm and a few moments later he clenched his fist. He threw the punch towards Argus, clearly deciding not to play around. Of argus wamted a fight, he'd get one.

Argus, quickly backed away from the strike, bringing his blade back before swinging it forward, the enrgy inside of it coming bursting out in a crescent-shaped beam towards he spirit. This was soon followed up by Argus charging forward to get in close to Leo, throwing his sword up in the air, in order to free his hand up for a punch of his own.

"Crimson Gods Raging Fist!"

As he cried out the name of his spell, his fist would explode into a pall of black and crimson energy, his eyes seeming to glow with a savage light as he swung the destructive blow into his opponent.

Leo laughed, his voice echoing over the land about them. He picked himself up, apparently without even a scratch, and seemingly unhurt nor phased by the attack. "You need to learn to enjoy life, rather then simply try to beat it. Strength comes from within, from how you care for others, for what you believe in. Anger is all well and good, Argus, but anger makes you brittle. Sooner or later, you will break. But I may as well have some fun.

Lion Brilliance!"

He shouted again, only this time he fell into a casting stance, gathering power for a few seconds. This time with the brilliance of the light, came a physical attack, a force with the light that struck down towards Argus. With the blinding light, Leo darted quickly towards Argus, light began to gather in his right hand again, and this time he did not shout out his attack, regulus impact heading directly towards Argus.

Argus cursed, barely able to pull up his guard before Leo unleashed a flurry of blows upon him. After the attack, Argus was still standing, but looking a little worse for wear. However, his eyes still burned with a frustration and anger at his inability to push this damn spirit to give an iota of effort. In his mind, he heard whispers from Grimm, egging him on to give into these dark feelings, to let them fester and grow, but he quickly shook his head, instead dashing away to get his hands on his blade again. The giant blade crackled at his touch, as he spun it around once, before gathering a large amount of magic over his form, cloaking him in black and crimson lightning.

"Crimson Gods Blitz!"

With the announcement of his spell, the electrical energy around him exploded into a frenzy, momentarily concealing his form, and once it calmed down, Argus had seemingly disappeared. His position would not remain in question for long, as he'd appear behind Leo, lashing out with a magic-fueled slash with his blade before fading out of sight, relying on the speed boost he'd gotten from his magic to keep him ahead of his opponent. His aim right now was to where Leo down with strikes from the blade until he got his by the paralyzing affect this magic had a chance to grant upon contact, in which case he'd charge in with a haymaker blow. This wasn't without risk, however, as he could already feel the pain beginning to creep into his body from the enhancement he was giving it. Despite this, however, he'd continue his hit and run barrage on the spirit for as long as he could keep it up.

Leo decided to change tracks. It was evident that Argus was beginning to lose control. Which couldn't be allowed to happen, giving the anger Argus had within him.

Leo took to blows, apparently quite easily without any sign that the blows harmed him. He did not appear to even feel the blows as he thought on what to do. It was evident that simply attacking Argus wasn't enough. It was evident that if Argus was allowed to continue with this, he would lose control and cause massive damage. He needed to either be stopped or contained.

How?

"Argus. Allowing your anger to control you will destroy you. Stop, now" he said quite calmly, but as he spoke he began to gathering magic

"Shut up. . . I'm fine." Argus growled out, still being met with frustration as he saw that his attacks were still continuing to do nothing to the spirit. However, a part of him was reveling the challenge of this, and with each passing moment, it was getting stronger. He wanted to make Leo flinch, even a little bit, and as it seemed increasingly clear that his regular attacks weren't going to cut it, he decided he needed to go bigger. "Trust me, when I'm really on the edge of losing control, you'll know about it."

Whether or not Argus was truly fine, he couldn't sat for certain. At this moment, he felt a strange calm in the heart of his rage, as if a portion of his soul was cut of from all of the negative emotions rolling around inside of his body. He felt electrified, and he wasn't about to let this spar end now that he saw just how serious he needed to be.

"I think that's enough warm-up for me, though you seemed to hardly be trying, Spirit. Annoying, but that just means that it'll be so much sweeter when I wipe that irritating grin off your face." As Argus spoke, he suddenly drew back his hand wielding his blade, before sending flying towards Leo, spinning in the air like a crackling discus of death, the magic inside of it leaking out to help speed it's approach and stabilize it's flight path. Following quickly behind it, Argus would charge in, summoning smoke Lacrima into his hands and supercharging them with his magic, causing the grey crystals to become twinge a dull crimson, before he through them on ground right before his opponent. As soon as they made contact with the ground, they'd burst into a large cloud of thick red and black smoke, crackling with Godslayer magic that would zap at both Argus and Leo, and while Argus would be mostly unaffected by the bolts, normally the opponent would feel at least some form of paralysis.

That being said, Argus didn't expect for Leo to be even slightly effected, considering how the rest of the fight had gone, and instead summoned a barrage of throwing knives, charging them with magic before launching them in front of him while he did a leap back away from where he thought Leo to be. He'd keep up this assault for another moment or two, before switching out to hsi Staff, getting in position to intercept the Spirit's next attack, listening out for where he might be next. HE had to focus right now, if he was going to stand a chance of challenging this guy and keeping Grimm from taking advantage of the situation. While he wouldn't admit it to the spirit, Grimm was doing a damn good job of inciting his frustration and anger from the affect of his magic to whip him into a frenzy, and if it weren't for Leo's reminder, he might have lost a bit of control and simply make an even bigger mess for himself.

Keep calm, and failing that, keep focused. Be ready to react in an instant to even the slightest change in the environment. You've honed your instincts to survive the Arena, and they won't let you fail down here either. Remember, as long as you can make the fucker flinch, it's your win. His new objective in mind, Argus couldn't help but smile to himself, actually enjoying how one-sided this fight was turning out to be now that he had a moment to just stop thinking about his situation. LAst time I ever sit around and just think about my problems, I don't have the maturity to do that. Best way for me to work out my problems and issue is to get the blood flowing. Now then, when is this spirit fucker going to come at me?

Leo was about to say something else, but there was an interruption. Worried now, Leo shifted, and in a few strides, was in between Argus and the other frenzy plant member. Someone wouldn't just calm down because they were told to, and Leo worried that Argus would do something drastic, that could harm the town.

Gabriel

The scene found Gabriel standing there, trying to make sense of it, and for a moment, he found himself reminded of...but then Enma was asking him something. Gabriel shooo his head, approaching the woman carefully, "No, I don't. Mikey is the one with the healing spirits. Ma'am, my name is Gabriel. Can you tell us what happened?" hesitantly, Gabriel reached out to touch the woman, to see if she would respond

Cassandra

Location: Red Lake Clinic
Interacting With: @Damo021 Miranda & Cleo @Meiyuki Alyssa @Zhaliora Patricia @smarty0114 Charlie & Avalon @BlackPanther Aron & Gage @Anima Kimberly & @BeautifulSnow Vanessa, @Nallore

Cassandra looked at Alyss and nodded. "we are alive when we shouldn't be. We are here. Things...aren't what they should be. If you are faced with a small aquatic animal that waddles and goes quack, then you have to conclude the obvious, don't you? Well there's no denying that there's something...unnatural happening here. Given an explanation well...if it's not true we find out in a month. And no harm done. If it is...at least we can be prepared"

She looked to Riley as the girl still thought this was her fault, and sighed. "Riley, it isn't. We all thought we would be safe. We are all old enough to make our own decisions. We all chose to go willingly. It's not your fault."

Cassandra was tired. She was scared. She was freaked, despite her outward manor, and perhaps that's why she lashed out at Patrica. "if yo bothered to pick up a newspaper, or even look online, you'd see that wolf attacks have been on the increase everywhere. What, just because of what she is, Vanessa can't live where she wants, do what she wants? It's not her fault. It's no ones fault but the person who attacked us. She can't tell the future, she didn't know we would be attacked. After what she has been through, she doesn't deserve you lashing out at her. So I ask, what kind of moron are you, to think that any of this is Vanessa's fault? She didn't ask to be changed, and I'd rather follow her then stumble along trying to figure out what I am suppose to be doing, rather do that then potentially kill someone. We are alive because of Vanessa. We would have bled out, if she hadn't been there, no matter what we are now. You can't replace blood in an instant after all. So maybe you should take that judgemental attitude and think before you speak!"

She turned on Vanessa next, not caring what anyone thought of her right then, "I don't care what you think of Ana, you had no right to speak to her like that and send her away. Do I have to deal with racist crap as well?" Grateful for the return of her guitar, She rose and picked it up. "I'm going to see if I can find her, I'd hate to think I could lose a potential friend because of the rudeness you showed. We're not going to change tonight, so I assume we can be free to go for now. I don't smell rotting bodies on her, and even if I did, we are more then our scents"

Cassandra quickly left, wanting to be gone with an urgency that surprised her. While she was glad her friends were okay, it had started to get overwhelming. Checking herself out would be a process, and one she didn't want to bother with. It was surprisingly easy to follow the path Anastatia had taken, which curiously led to the blood bank. Not wanting to linger, she hurried on out, following the scent still.
