Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? No says the man in Washington it belongs to the poor. No says the man in the Vatican it belongs to God. No says the man in Moscow it belongs to everyone

Talking in riddles is fun. Putting them to poem is better. Presentation is the key.

@OdinNo, I did have Proxy enabled at first and thought the same thing. Unfortunately it did work after I turned it off either.
@Animera Thanks, I will dig up my old CS for him and refurbish it for this place.

I have been trying to log in on my phone for the past 3 days but it seems to have a slight issue. After filling in the log in credentials it loads me back to the home screen without logging me in. It doesn't error, it doesm't crash, and it isn't telling me the credentials are wrong, it just isn't logging me in.
Development Villain
Part 1 of 2

I am going to kind of break the normal format here because there is a good chance that this section will be longer that the other. I want to restate what I said before in that playing a good villain takes time, practice, and learning from your mistakes. I was not able to play a good villain right from the start, and for a long time was uncomfortable with playing villain characters because the the responsibility it brought about. It took me many failed attempts, lack luster plots, and watching others before I got the hang of it. Being evil is something that comes natural to most people, but that doesn't mean being a villain is the same way. This is where the issue of a Bulldozer is. They are evil, but nothing more. Then there are the other part of people that don't take naturally to being evil which is where Its My Job comes in. They have a villain that is kinda bad, but nothing ever comes of it. It was a long while before I was ran into some people that were in an RP group with both villains and heros that I saw the issues with my villains: They didn't interact with the characters on a level of development.

Development is hard. Both in creation of something new and in the changing of something that is already set, it just isn't easy. This is the basic of what you want your villain to be; someone who pushes others to create new ideas of how they look at the world, or how the world looks at them. In my first run in with the group I mentioned before I came into the RP at the start of their second chapter so their world was pretty far along as far as heros vs. villains go. I introduces a morally gray character who was on the run but good at hart. I knew I wanted him to find the heros in some way and start in with them so he could clean himself up and make good progress on his personal plot. I was not ready for one of their villains though. It didn't take long for me to find the heros and join in with them, and after a while of playing and making some progress in his personal plot of finding his lost sister that the villains began to corrupt his path. Knowing his weakness for his sister and wanting him on their side because of what he knew of both the heros and an organization they were trying to knock over, they presented the heros with a moral dilemma. The heros had been closing in on some leads for stopping a crime ring set up by the villains, but in order to cut their losses the villains had made the choice to evac the leaders of the crime ring and kill the gangs and others involved. My character needed to capture one of the heads if he wanted to ever find his sister, but the group had decided to try and save an citizens who were negligently involved with the crime ring. It was an interesting turn for me as I had to play my character the way he would react not the way I wanted to. His moral code didn't have enough sway on him to make him care more for the citizens, but instead he went to attempt an intercept on the crime boss. This lead to him being outcast by the heros, and him taking a big turn into the almost joining the villains just because they had the answers he wanted and used that event to show him they aren't that different.

This is a classic point for a villain to take, they will give the hero a choice of getting their goal at a cost of moral integrity. This could be freeing a captured love interest at the cost of civilian lives, saving a member of team enabling the villain to get away, ect... These put the character in a hard place to be because heros have an image to the public, and a code they try hard to follow. If they falter in their moral conduct they will pay in image, relations, and self confidence. The villains can use this to play with their minds, and may even change their entire character if the hero isn't careful. For my character his sister was being used as leverage against him by a crime boss, he couldn't be seen interfering with their operations lest he risk his sister's life. He hated this and would take any means to stop it. This lead to him going down some dark paths that the group didn't know about, but they could tell something wasn't right. During this time his moral code began to change, being manipulated by the villains. This is what made me thinks more about what I could do with villains I play. It isn't just being evil all the time, it is pulling at the heros and testing them to see how far over the line they are willing to go, how far they want to travel into the darkness to get their prize. Could I have done this without being tempted? Yes, and in fact I did for a while, but my character got frustrated at cold leads and was presented an alternate way of gathering info that yielded better and faster results. These methods got to be more and more of a habit for him and the villains took advantage of that.

During the Teen Titans RP of mine I mentioned in my Bulldozer section I had someone I had RPed with for a while play a Co-Villain for me. He played the leader of a gang that was directly connected to Slade, whom I was playing. He took up the part which made me very happy because he was good at playing a large number of side characters since I was playing a hand full already. He surprised me even more with his gang leader. At first I thought he was going to be a Bulldozer with the way he introduced his character, but it turned out he was just reflecting how a underground crime boss would be if they were reporting to Slade 'Deathstroke' Wilson. He started by having his gang flag plant the local news paper building, then knock over a large bank after a week of cryptic messages, and two weeks after that shoot up and flag plant the Police HQ. His character was cold, ruthless, and without empathy towards anyone who was against him. Reading his posts I was afraid that he was just going to be power hungry and gun happy while justifying it with "I work for Deathstroke." I confronted him about it asking him questions like how, and why? He explained that his inner circle of generals and his head man report directly to Deathstroke, and if that were the case their arsenal would be large, but limited as well due to the cops. with that in mind they would need to hit up a bank to get money to launder for weapons and supplies before they planned out and then attacked the Police HQ. He also said with a gang this powerful they would have contacts on the inside which explains the messages and hitting the Police was to shake them up a bit and allow for the gang to move product and weapons around in the coming week. Looking back at his messages I started to understand it all, but I ask then why the news paper? he said that with the character being played by another person who is employed in the news paper will soon become an informant due to the interest they have in the gang. It was a warning and invitation, so to say, for the investigating reporters.

Looking back on his post after talking with him I saw they were an introduction more than anything. In the first attack he introduces a few of his generals, and a few more in the second attack, and finally himself in the assault on the Police HQ. He was using these posts to show the full power of the gang, while keeping it believable. He said that attacks like these would not happen very often since they are generally not needed. This series of attacks was a show of force tot he town and heros so they know what they are getting into when they decide to try and take him on. This was okay for me. It didn't derail the plot, it didn't permanently change the world we were in, he was simply taking into account that chapter two was a few years after the close of chapter one and that gave time for these problems and feuds to arise. I liked the feel he gave it, and his main character was one that was feared, powerful, but also tactful in his actions. He thought of what he was doing, and what that would bring about. The police were not as vigilant (they were played by another person.), The character at the news paper became afraid of the gang and was reluctant to do much investigating on them, and the heros now had a side villain that would cause some issues for them as they worked through the story. An A+ in my book.

Derrick stood a moment looking at the blinking light on his terminal while putting on his pants. He glanced at the clock next to his bed; 6:35 AM. "Who would have contacted me before seven?" He thought aloud. His employer made it clear to all the members that Derrick operates from 7:00AM to Midnight, and not to attempt to contact him during off hours. With that Derrick ignored the light for the time being and made his way to the kitchen where he started a pot of coffee and grabbed the leftover steak from the fridge. Popping the steak into the microwave Derrick returned to the fridge briefly to grab a couple eggs and began to fry them while the steak heated and the coffee finished. Now with his plate and mug in hand he proceeded to the terminal where the blinking light was beckoning like a worried fairy. Opening the message he found it was about his current job, and that his client wanted to meet with some new development that pushed up the timeline. He sighed as he navigated to the news that he would read while he finished his meal.
Stepping out of the apartment he was given for the assignment, Derrick could feel on the morning air that it was going to be hot. There was very little humidity, and the wind was almost non-existent in the inner parts of Korven making even the shaded parts of town uncomfortably warm, even in the morning hours. walking a few blocks into the more metropolitan area Derrick contacted his client via his cellphone.
"Why didn't you contact me earlier?" His client asked annoyed rather then a normal greeting.
"You said you had Deadline information?" Derrick asked flatly, ignoring the man's question.
"Wha- You li-." A grunt of dissatisfaction followed. "The rabble it planning something rash. The apartment where the mark is staying is one of the target locations for said 'demonstration', and could prove to make it easier."
"What is the catch?" Derrick was now in an supermarket perusing the alcohol scanning the tops of the low shelves before resting on his mark at where he normally was at this time.
"You see, the demonstration is today, around noon, and your mark has-"
"A meeting with his under-boss." Derrick cut the man off.
"Wait, the under-boss?" The man sounded confused. "That is not what our source said. He is supposed to meet with an envoy."
"It was last minute, I assume." Derrick was now back on the street tailing his mark. "He picked up a $350 bottle of wine, and two $235 bottles of champagne."
"Well, he must be doing well. Anyway, That is the situation. He has already rented out a high-end condo for the evening. Make sure he doesn't get there. If he gets this promotion it could spell trouble."
"Affirmative, over and out." Derrick hung-up his phone and continued to tail the mark
Derrick's mark this time around was a middle management gang member by the name of Theodore Larson, or Theo as he is known by the other gang members, and is in charge of training new members of the fast rising small time gang. He is an ex-martial arts instructor who was fired after being charged with two accounts of murder, and one attempted murder with a deadly weapon. It was after a tournament he lost that he felt he was cheated by the judging panel; he killed two of the judges with his bare hands, and went after the one other with a kendo stick. Derrick was here to stop Theo from getting the promotion to Lead Military Trainer for the gang. It would make toppling them a lot harder due to his training abilities and that he would then be spending most of his time in militarized locations making him a near impossible target. Now armed with the new information Derrick knew that he would have to take on the mark in a way he hated most; in his own home. Trying to kill a mark in this way was like trying to kill a man in a castle he has constructed. You can scout all you want and think that you know the place, but there is always something that only the tenant knows. It was hard, but not impossible. Tailing Theo for a little longer Derrick formulated a plan for taking him down incorporating the demonstration that was to take place. This was double edged sword for Derrick, in the fact that he wouldn't have to clean up the evidence too much as it would all be taken care of, but also that he had to somehow get the mark back to his apartment before it happened in just a few hours. Breaking off from the mark Derrick began to head to Theo's place to get his plan into motion, and ready himself for what he assumed would be a challenging fight.
Heading to a more upbeat area of Korven Derrick made his was to the fourth floor of an apartment building where Theo resided. Upon exiting the elevator Derrick could tell that something wasn't right. Two people hurriedly entered the elevator before he could get out, bumping into him as the did so, while three men fit to be bouncers stared at Derrick with a gaze that told him to drop dead or leave as the stood by Theo's door. I think we had this info all wrong. Derrick thought to himself as the glaring man began to walk towards him down the hallway. He could hear two more people throwing things around in what sounded like Theo's place making them a total of five, as the one bouncer was closing the distance between him and Derrick he raised his hand in a pointing gesture behind Derrick.
"Hold the elevator, this guy is on the wrong-" He stopped short, eyes narrowed as Derrick moved quickly against him. The man reached for his side where he had a .40 caliber holstered, but wasn't fast enough as Derrick's K-bar slipped silently underneath his rib-cage, through his diaphragm, and into his lung, probably poking his heart a little as well. The big man let out a bloody grunt as he slowly looked down at the knife then back to Derrick.
"Oh, you were so close..." The other two men were standing at attention guns drawn. The now wounded man tried to yell back to them, but Derrick twisted the knife as he reached for the man's gun. The elevator let out a faint ding as the doors closed and the elevator began moving. "I don't think you need this anymore." Pointing under the cover of the man's jacket he fired a shot.
"Boss, whats-" BANG The shot hit right in the center of his collar bone, spraying his buddy with blood who was unfazed as he opened fire. Derrick used the first guy as a meat shield, knife still in him as he grunted and gasped for breath. as the steady shots came out three landing the his meat shields back, two in his leg, one grazed his head, and two missing down the hall. The two men in the room could be heard cursing as they tried to find out what was going on, and the last man in the hall dropped his mag to reload. So they are using compacts, only eight shots. Good to know. Shoving off his meat shield the man fell like a dead pig from a meat hook as Derrick, now more then acceptably blood covered fired two more shots into the upper chest of the last standing bouncer who fell in much the same fashion as he partner.
Hearing the other two stack against Theo's door, Derrick laid down with the first bouncer he killed with his knife half laying on top of him. There was a moment of silence as the smell of blood and gun smoke hung in the air of the hall. BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG. eight shots came through the wall into the hallway, four near the door and four at more of an angle towards the elevator before the two men rushed from the room back to back guns drawn. Really, your going to make it that easy? Derrick thought as he cocked his head, raised his arm catching a surprised look on the face of the man facing him before letting out a single shot through the man's throat and into his partner behind him. They both dropped, bits of brain, skull, and blood spattering the walls. Derrick rolled the man off of him and rose to a kneeling position to retrieve his knife. The man groaned lightly as the knife exited his chest cavity."Resilient shithead aren't you?" Grabbing the man's extra two mags he Derrick stood and fired one more round into the man before reloading.
carefully stepping over the bodies Derrick began to peer into the room. Everything was a mess, papers all over the floor, boxes thrown about, it looked like a hurricane came through, minus the gun smoke creeping in from the hall. Satisfied with what he saw Derrick slowly entered the room to have a look at what was going on. Odd that they would send a group like this to his place when they know he wouldn't be here. What were they- Then is clicked, He Theo made an unplanned trip to the market to buy wine and champagne. He knew he was going, because he had been tailing him. These guys were sent out today meaning they wanted to escort him? Slowly the pieces were coming together confirmed when he got a sudden text alert from his client and some pictures on Theo's coffee table.

John D.: The boss just got into the area. Looks like our intel was off. He brought with him two kill squads.
Tim J.: Yeah it looks like he is here as a show of dominance. I found some really nice pictures of the bosses girl here in Teddy's place.
John D.: Never play around with another man's girl. My accountant will contact you shortly. You know how this goes?
Tim J.: Yeah, untouched is only 70%. Signing out.

Derrick grabbed a rag from the counter, wiped off the gun, and placed it into the oven. He then set the oven to 450 and wiped down the oven where he touched it then through the rag in as well closing the oven door with his foot. He made his way to the stares walking down and out of the complex. After walking a few blocks he could hear a muffled explosion in the distance and as he turned and saw a plume of smoke from where he was. looking on with indifference he shortly continued his trek back to his temporary place where he was greeted with an email about his job.

Packing up his terminal, handgun, and other odds and ends he brought Derrick went over his check list once more before putting on a clean jacket and heading out. At the door there was a cab waiting for him manned by a member of the Unseen per usual after a travel job was finished, but Derrick didn't get into the car. Derrick through his bag into the back seat and leaned on the open window of the passenger side. "Take this to the loft." He looked around as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a locker key and a wad of cash, tossing it to the driver."I will pick it up from there."
"You got it, have a good one my man." The driver then drove off as Derrick turned and walked the other way. Pulling out his phone He flipped through his contacts all under sudo names. He stopped on the one titled Jo the contact said last text was over two weeks ago.
Hey, hows it going? what are you up to?

Personal Account: $90,391.00 || Offshore: $12,783,892.00
Awesome! I will finish my post up and get it out there.
@Cleverbird What do you say to our characters having 'Survivors' relationship? In that we know a bit more about each other's past and check in with one another to make sure we are both alive, refuse help from each other cuz we know how to run our lives, and are more like tense brother and sister kinda deal? Oh and when ever we get together we both end up having a bit more to drink than we should and end up fighting over some small detail.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY TIP IS TOO SMALL!!!"

I ask cuz I am just about done with my post and thought it would be neat for them to meet up. Both will partially be blood covered.
*Update*

I was volun-told for more hours, I will be working on getting that post up, but it might take a little longer.
I have my post half done, I hope to have it up by tomorrow night.
