Ambition: An Amalgamated Superhero Universe

@Chiro Several things:

1) Please post a little more with the sample post. Not really enough to get an idea of how he works. A little dialogue would go a long way. Even if it's just him talking with Waller about how much they fucking hate super's.
2) San Francisco is still there, please don't hit it with an Earthquake.
3) I don't want to tell you how to build your character or how to run your story, but i don't like the wider reaching implications of Vought-American's creating actual superheroes introduces. I would appreciate it if this wasn't an open thing that they did. Maybe it's still in the prototype phases and they are still trying to work out the kinks in these formula's. It's just that if there is a company actually mass producing superheroes, then it has FAR reaching implications that other player's can't really choose to ignore if they want.
4) I also quite like the idea of The Zone in this setting, the only real thing that i want is for it to have been a black-ops thing perpetrated by CADMUS, known to the public only in rumours and paranoid conspiracies online. Most don't even believe it happened, because the world governments covered it up. Again, just trying to avoid implications that other's cannot ignore or might impose on their stories.

Apart from that, i love it, fit's in very nicely.

"Hi, i'm your host Edward Leeds!"

"And i am your co-anchor, Sally Floyd. It is another glorious day in America and we have news aplenty to go around."

"Indeed there is Sally, first of all, we have some Superhero news popping up left right and center. But first this:"

Superman stops school shooter

"An attempted school shooting in Houston was brought to a peaceful solution when Superman stepped in at TSU. This amazing footage was caught by a student, those of a nervous disposition may want to look away." The footage showed a girl crying and looking at her phone, she was under a table. "OH GOD SHE'S HERE, Mom, i'm so sorry, I love y-" at that point, a loud crash was heard as a being stood in a bright blue spandex costume, with slick, black hair and a red cape floated down from the roof. A teenaged girl with long brown hair, sunglasses and a black trenchcoat stood with a 12-gauge shotgun stood in front of him.

"Look, we can talk this out." he said as the girl took aim and fired at him, the bullets clearly didn't affect him as he slowly walked forward. "You can shoot me, but we both know it won't do any good."

"What do I care, my life is fucked anyway, may as well try to go down in a blaze of glory." She grunted. "Now stand the fuck back!" she screamed, before taking aim at a wounded librarian.

"We both know that if you pull that trigger, i'm going to intercept all of those fragments and would probably have enough time to do todays junior jumble before you get the chance to pump it for the next shot, so let's just talk." he said. "Now, my name is Kal-El, what's yours?" he asked. She pulled the trigger and Superman seemed to blur as the librarian screamed and threw his hands over his head, but Superman was back, holding a newspaper and a pen. "Alright, I'm not that fast, but I got a couple of them." he said, throwing the newspaper on the floor at her feet, along with a handful of buckshot. She looked down at the newspaper, before looking back at him.

"You think this is a fucking game?" She roared.

"Of course not, there is a girl with a shotgun trying to kill people, this is far from a game." he said in a hushed, yet serious voice. "The only reason you have that gun is because I want you to give it up of your own free will. Let's not pretend I couldn't take it off you anytime I wanted."

"So you get to be the big hero in this? What do you want me to do, throw down this gun and beg forgiveness and go back to my shitty apartment because I sank all of my money into THIS FUCKING PLACE!!!" She fired at the ceiling.

"No, you've tried to kill people, things can never go back to the way they were. But what you can do is give it up, accept responsibility for your actions and we can stop things from getting worse." He said, his hands were up at this point. She looked around.

"Janice..." she said, lowering the gun a little, but still keeping it trained on him. "You asked me my name, it's Janice."

"Nice to meet you, Janice, now, can you give me the 12-Gauge?" he asked.

"No... Not unless you can get me off the hook." She said.

"Alright, we've got to bartering, now we're getting somewhere. As I said, I can't do that. Someone has to pay for this and if you are truly sorry, then you'll realise it is you." he said. "I can help you get as little punishment as possible, but only if you give me the gun without firing again." Janice wiped a tear from her eye

"You... You really want to help me, don't you?" she asked.

"If I didn't, you'd be getting processed by Henley State's personel and awaiting trial right now." he said. He walked forwards and opened his arms. "Now, I'm going to ask you for one final thing... Help me to help you." he said. She fired again, and again and again and again, each blast making the camera-girl scream... Then just kept pumping and pulling the trigger, even though she was now out, before finally throwing the gun on the ground as well as her sunglasses and falling into his arms sobbing. It was difficult to hear what he whispered to her, due to the fuzziness of the camera footage, but it then cut back to the newsroom.

"The perpetrator, Janice Freeman, had just failed her semester and had lost her job." the news reader continued. "Superman had this to say." It cut to outside with Superman. News crews swarming them.

"I just want to say that, people are capable of horrible things when the chips are down and all hope is lost. Last week, Janice would have found this act unconscionable, but here we stand now. If you are feeling low, don't do something stupid. Please, talk to a loved one, talk to your religious leader. Hell, if you are really by yourself, just shout out the window and i'll come straight on by. Might take a little time in case of Alien Invasion, though." It then cut back to the newsroom.

Edward straightened his papers. "Powerful, powerful stuff. Despite what other, less reputable "Journalists" might say, i'm glad to have Superman here and helping to keep us safe."

"As am i, Ed. Next, up, we have a possible Alien Invasion sighting from Bellwood."

"Maybe they're just friends of Superman coming to congratulate him?" Ed laughed.

"This was once a quiet little suburban town with no real problems. But that all changed 3 months ago when unknown assailants waged a battle across the town, costing the lives of several, including loving Grandfather, Maxwell Tennyson. Now, several new aliens have been spotted helping out around the town." The feed cut to a woman standing in front of a destroyed ATM.

"IT WAS AWESOME, HE WAS RED, HAD, LIKE, 8 ARMS AND HE THREW THE ATM RIGHT AT THE GETAWAY CAR!" It then cut to an old man with a small moustache, glasses and a pink and yellow striped shirt and pink apron.

"It was a giant insect, came crashing through here, destroyed half of my shop!"

"Did it catch the thief?"

"OF COURSE IT DID, BUT THAT GUY STOLE A TIN OF BEANS WORTH 50cent AND BROKE $200 WORTH OF STUFF DOING IT!!! IT'S A MENACE!" The clip then cut to an Asian man stood in front of a large green crystal.

"It was the tightest s**t you have ever seen. Guy makes a run for it, before he knows it, he's got a wall of crystal in his face. This green Emerald-headed guy walks up and he p****s his pants right there and then. Man whoever you are, Emerald-guy, just know I LOVE YOU!!!"

"We have several guest speakers with us to discuss this. First, Melinda May, high ranking member of S.H.I.E.L.D. and expert on Extra-terrestrial life."

"Thanks, i'm glad to be here." She said.

"Next is Charles Xavier, head of the Xavier Institute for Gifted Children and expert on Mutants and Mutant Rights activist."

"Thank you very much." He replied.

"And finally, we have Graydon Creed, leader of the Friends of Humanity movement and staunch anti-Mutant activist."

"I am happy to be here as well." Creed said with a cold stare.

"So, we have a few theories about what these creatures could have been. Miss May, what do you believe about the theory that they are aliens?" The Interviewer asked.

"Well, firstly, this isn't 1950 anymore. We KNOW that there are aliens out there. We don't know how many or even how they even look. It is entirely possible that these creatures are all aliens, but it is equally likely that they might be mutated humans."

"A disgusting thought..." Creed mumbled under his breath.

"These beings are... Strange, but they are visitors here and we are currently looking into them." She said. Creed stared at her.

"Are you taking steps to apprehend them?" He asked, looking insulted. "We have testemonies from many people that these creatures are a danger to the public, as duly elected representatives of the law, you are bound to bring them to justice."

"Strictly speaking, they haven't done anything wrong, as mandated by the Superhero vigilante laws introduced after the case of Lee vs Kane, where it said that individuals are allowed to keep their identities secret, if they believe that it is in the best interests of protecting their friends and family."

"That seems rather selfish to me." Creed retorted. "Yes, THEIR friends and families are protected, but what about my friends and family? I consider all humans my friends and by not coming forward, they are putting them in danger." His voice wasn't raised, it was cold and callous, logical.

"I believe that we are straying away from the point here." Charles butted in. "I have done some research myself into these creatures and i do believe that they may be mutants. I have worked with several telepaths in my time, my own telepathic abilities are not unknown to the world, and from what i can tell, these creatures, when they show up, have minds very much like a humans... Although a little more primitive, like a child's mind. Granted, i could not possibly say more without interacting with them personally."

"See, even the Mutie says that they are dangerous." Creed responded.

"Mutie is a very derogatory word and i would care for you not to use it, please. And i didn't say they were dangerous." Charled calmly responded.

"Of course you did. Minds like children. If there is one thing that history has taught us, it is that immense power in the hands of those not responsible enough to weild it properly are the single most dangerous creatures on the planet. The Nazi's, the Soviet Union, the Brotherhood of Mutants, all of these groups weilded untold power with no regard for human life and have killed millions."

"The Brotherhood is misguided, but not evil, as you suggest." Charles explained

"Well of course you would say that. Isn't Erik Lensherr, one of the most dangerous men in the world, your friend?"

"I will not hide that he was my friend, but that was until Erik adopted his misguided beliefs. He is still a good man, he has just been pushed into his situation by people that are not willing to accept others different from themselves." Creed sneered at Charles, before unhooking his mic and beginning to walk away, he then quickly walked back to grab the mic and say

"I don't need to listen to Mutie lies, i came here to discuss an important issue and you want to use it as a soapbox for the vindication of your filthy mutant bed buddy. I will continue to fight for you, my friends. Humanity first." Charles shook his head as Creed walked away.

Edward laughed at it. "I can't believe that they let that guy on television." He straightened his papers. "Next we have a story about the local hero of New York, a man calling himself. "The Human-Spider."

"That's Spider-Man, Ed." Sally butted in. "Spider-Man has been making big waves in New York for his devotion to the local populace. Not much is known about him so far, but what we do know is that he calls himself the "Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man" and has been seen foiling local crime. Although some question whether Superman can do it all, many have expressed their newfound comfort in a superhero that specifically is there to look after the little guy." She smiled. "Now, over to Greg with Sports."

@Nightwing95 I'd vote for 3, 5 or 7 being that they were the ones who knew how to kick a little ass if needbe.

Also, I'm going to be putting up the IC today, although, due to troubles at work, it might not be until this evening.

@Hey Im Jordan A reimagining of Gosei. Pretty much the one who created the Zords. Never officially a Ranger, instead the groups engineer, Gosei was cursed and transformed into a monster. Although Gosei's faculties were retained, the other rangers never trusted Gosei again.

I like the idea of a secondary mentor that assists the Rangers, despite being at odds with Zordon. Zordon believes "Gosei is a monster now, monsters are notoriously untrustworthy. We don't even know what else that curse might do." Gosei believes "Zordon is an ungrateful asshole who spent all of his attention focussing on me that he didn't even notice Rita planning her betrayal right under his nose."

Although, Gosei is still completely loyal to the cause of destroying evil wherever it may lie. Maybe Gosei is the one to come up with new Zords and upgrades for the team.

@officaz No. Look, it's not that daunting. All you have to write is a list of your supporting cast. can be as simple as:

"Mary-Jane Watson: Peter's next door neighbour growing up and best friend for quite some time. The Jackpot."

It just let's us know who your character turns to when in a jam or wants to see your character dead or bloodied.
