There's definitely things to do instead of crying or feeling victimized. You could calmly digest the nice advices people gave you 14 hours ago, for example.

Back on Land

Sydney Harbor | Daytime
@PKMNB0Y

"Phew! Well, that was quite something if I do say so myself." Teodora casually exclaimed as she and Elise landed safely back on dry land. Thankfully, the laser projectiles eventually dissipated instead of infinitely pursuing them. That would've made things more annoying, even if Teodora was rather confident that her barrier would be able to absorb a single salvo of the lasers. That said, she was still glad nonetheless that she wouldn't need to actually test that belief for now. She disengaged her Chi-Mechframe as well, with it returning back into its hairband form.

"Mmhmm. That make sense. I'd expect so as well. That thing got the jump on us this time... But we'll win the second round, I'm certain!" she added a confident nod to her words as she spoke it. "But indeed... For now, let us return back to base. Got to get Selene's wing fixed, hmm? And some little bit of rest would be much appreciated as well... So, shall we, dear Elise?" she gave a playful wink at the slightly taller and older girl while gesturing to the direction of HQ before then starting to walk away in that direction.

Attack of Opportunity

Lorentine Queen, Main Deck, Outside of Cargo Hold | Nighttime
Leon@Jumbus | Carmillia@Animus | Zarra@BreathOfTheWoof

He did it again. The third time now. Eun-Ji quickly learned that Leon Solaire was a man who can be depended on when it came to quickly making a decision and acting on said decision. It also meant that he tended to proceed with whatever his plan was without actually allowing his teammates to voice their opinion about it, and such impulsiveness can be as equally dangerous as being indecisive. The one saving grace in the situation was the fact that Eun-Ji had seen Leon pulled the same move before during their sparring match, and thus she knew what those marbles will cause before it even happens.

She briefly looked at Zarra, which seemed to still be confused by the general situation, and said simply to him: "It is time to fight, Mr. Travendour. I suggest using the opportunity that I will shortly create for us."

Both the guards who were fighting for their dear lives and the mages who were preoccupied with attempting to snuff those lives out were caught by surprise as the light and high pitched noise blinded and disoriented them. "Arggh, my eyes! My ears!" shouted the Kinetic mage as he was forced to release his grapple on the muscular guard, resorting to covering his face as he hunkered down at one corner of the room while waiting for the blindness to go away. It was too late for him to attempt to deafen the noise.

The Internal Chemical mage fared somewhat better. Though she too was forced to stop her assault on the muscular guard, she quickly shifted to using Telekinesis on a nearby table which she remembered about, moving and shifting it so that it lied on its side to cover her as she hunkered down behind it, trying to recover.

As for the two guards, the swordsman fell to the ground screaming in pain, his left arm a mangled mess. Either out of an instinct for self-preservation or due to training, he pulled out his sword with his right hand as if to protect himself with it, though he remained on the floor as he wrestled with the agonizing pain, blindness, and disorientation. The muscular wrestler, still affected by the Internal Chemical magic subjected onto him, struggled and failed to get back up. Being blinded, deafened, and weakened, he remained on the floor. Both guards then, were for the moment alive but effectively rendered incapable.

As for the Blood Mage, the most dangerous of the bunch, he received the full attention of the Lotus Sentry agent exactly for that very reason. Eun-Ji knew he was the priority target. Remaining where she were, she drew from the light and sound around herself, Zarra, and by extension Carmillia that was coming from behind them as soon as Leon's marbles exploded to protect their sights and hearing while also obtaining energy. Making full use of her capability at Free Casting, her hand prepared to throw her dagger even as she cast Sonic Blast to significantly amplify the high pitched sound to a higher extreme with the intention of knocking out all that were present within the room, or at the very least stunning them even further. And this amplification was centered, of course, very near to the Blood Mage's ears. To top it off, the dagger flew from her hand, aimed at the Blood Mage's head.

The Blood Mage attempted to protect himself just as his comrades did. Yet like them, he had no way of knowing what kind of attack might came for him. Thus, he created a mighty, thick shield with the Sign of the Ram to defend himself. This deflected the dagger that Eun-Ji threw at him but did little to protect him from the Sonic Blast. He fell to the ground roughly, a pained grimace on his face.

Leon was through to the Cargo Hold without much trouble. The guards and mages were disoriented even before Eun-Ji escalated their pain further with the Sonic Blast, allowing him to slip through them quickly. As he opened the trapdoor and went in to the Cargo Hold, he would hear the noise behind him significantly amplified by Eun-Ji's spell.

As for Carmillia and Zarra, protected from the light and the sound, they were then in position to fully take advantage of the situation with both the guards and the mages disoriented. Additionally however, they can also hear multiple hurried footsteps coming from behind them...

Reunited with Manfred, Dory were able to extract herself from the dangerous brawl raging throughout the front and middle part of the Main Deck. The Kerreman Magusjaeger were not only intimidating but also knew his way out of a violent situation; especially one that were nowhere as threatening as a true battlefield. Those few still brave and foolish enough to get in their way were quickly dealt with; a little bit of pain was often sufficient to deter such attackers, being that they were in the end nothing more than civilians fueled by adrenaline. Even those that wielded guns were only using it to shot at nearby threats or attackers, not aiming their dangerous armament at particular targets with purpose in their mind.

And thus, Manfred led the woman that he had started to care for deeply away from the brawl, at a faster pace than the rate upon which the chaos was spreading. He fully knew where they needed to go, heading straight for the Cargo Hold with Dory closely behind him. As they drew near to their destination they came upon the sight of two individuals, a woman and a man, moving hurriedly in front of them. And further beyond these two, they can see the familiar figures of Carmillia, Zarra, and Eun-Ji standing at the doorway of the room with the trapdoor to the Cargo Hold.

It Will be Fine

The Crow's Nest, Great Room | Evening

Cerise heard it of course; Poppy mentioning that Amelia's condition changed, and then Erik and Lysandra going to check on it. It made her worry about the unconscious girl, made her want to go as well with Erik and Lysandra to check on Amelia. But she also knew that there's likely nothing that she can actually do to help; she didn't even know anything about how the BOR parasite really works. The limit of her medical knowledge, if it can even be called that, was only to some application of first aid treatments. So she remain seated where she was, looking on as Erik and Lysandra left the Great Room.

She took a deep breath in and out. "I'm sure it will be fine. Especially with Poppy and Lysandra taking care of it..." she mumbled to herself, as if trying to convince herself. She'll be fine. Hey, maybe she'll wake up soon. Desmond will be so relieved...

And so like Dallas, she stayed in the Great Room, nursing a glass of orange juice while just listening to the default music in lieu of no one taking to the mic. "....." Now that she thought about it, she wasn't even sure what she should sing. She was older; far older than her appearance would suggest, and that was mirrored in her musical preference. She didn't even remember why, but she loved to sing Classical songs most of all. Those aren't really karaoke materials... She suppressed a giggle. It was a bit silly. She was so excited at the prospect of a karaoke party when Lys mentioned it, but now that it happened, she was at a loss of what to actually sing. And this wasn't even the first time something like this happened.

So she decided that she'll stay put for a while. Just enjoying the moment of relative calm and her glass of juice.

L O R E N T I N E Q U E E N

The original plans, loose as they were, had called for a measure of control. Whether the team sent to the Lorentine Queen decided to suppress the riot or embolden it, and prevent the theft of the Lyre or steal it themselves, they were supposed to be in control of the situation. Some had attempted to do so: Manfred stopped the ship's movement, preventing it to be taken ashore where other angry would-be rioters can be found aplenty. Leon used his fame and charming words to direct a drunken crowd toward the rioters onboard the boat with the intent to turn what would be a riot into a drunken brawl. Then there was Carmillia who in a way had both added to the chaos but also keeping things in control by setting the main doors leading to the indoor area aflame; which will temporarily hinder the rioters from spreading but also causing panic to those witnessing the burning doors.

And then there were those who had added mostly to the chaos or didn't prevent it from becoming worse. Dory, pressured by the situation and fearful of ruining the image she had managed to impressed upon the rioters onboard the boat, had ended up not only encouraging the crowd to partake of the aberrant offered by the Traveler's agent but also ingested some herself. And Zarra, with his predisposition toward engineering chaos and anarchy, had decided to mess with the machinery vital to the operation of the boat itself. The first was especially vital in determining whether the situation shall maintain a semblance of order or move toward the chaotic.

And with how things had turned out to be, it was no surprise then that the situation had indeed proceeded towards the latter conclusion.

The Riot

Dorothea Hohnstein
(@Jasbraq)

The crowd of rioters, with Dory among their ranks, went into a frenzy. While the aberrant-induced madness itself lasted a mere half minute at most, it was regardless enough to spur the angry mob to action. They moved as a loose group, heading to the back of the ship. Many advanced through the sidewalks, while some were stopped by the doors that Carmillia had set aflame. It did not stop them for long. In their madness, flames did not scare them as they attempted to break down the door regardless with the clubs, machetes, and whatever they had in their hands. The obstacle was taken care of even faster due to the flames dissipating, the heat absorbed out of them by the action of a man drawing upon them. The rioters were soon through the doors. Fortunately for Carmillia, it still gave her the time she needed to put a good distance away from the rioters.

It didn't take much time after that for the crowd of rioters to meet with the crowd of drunken and hyped up revelers lured by the promise of a show by the one and only Leon Solaire, and when an angry crowd fueled by rage and aberrant madness crossed path with a drunken crowd fueled by alcohol and adrenaline...

The first sparks of conflict quickly happened as people roughly pushed at each other followed by words of curses and swearing thrown around. Then came the bottles to the heads and the kicking and punching. And thus in a rapid sequences of violence that spurred further violent, the chaos of the situation went into full gears, and soon enough people made use of their knives, clubs, broken bottles, and even guns in a brutal free-for-all where it was no longer clear who were allies and who were adversaries.

Dory, of course, was deeply involved in this all out brawl. Trapped within the chaotic fighting on one of the outdoor sidewalks of the boat, she were quite near to the railing. At this point, the madness caused by the aberrant had left her mind. Such was a small blessing however, as she then saw that a large tall man was rushing for her, roaring with anger while wielding what seemed to be a broken chair leg in his right hand that he intended to use to clobber her head with.

As for the Traveler agents, both the one who argued with Dory earlier and the one who extinguished the burning doors? None seemed to be present within the fighting.
The Lyre

(@Jumbus) | Carmillia Carbonneau (@Animus) | Zarra Travendour (@BreathOfTheWoof) | Seung Eun-Ji

In another part of the boat still yet to be reached by the fighting between the rioters and the revelers, another fight was also brewing. One with significantly fewer participants yet potentially no less intense. Two strong-looking men stood in front of the trapdoor leading to the Cargo Hold. One was very tall, wearing an unbuttoned shirt with the sleeves folded back that revealed rippling muscles on his arms and torso. He seemed to have no weapon, perhaps believing he needed nothing else but his own body. The other was of average height, athletic and slender, a sheathed sword hanging from a belt on his hip.

Facing these two were the three mages that were chased by Leon and Eun-Ji. They seemed undaunted by the two guards that stood in their ways, as one of these mages took a step forward defiantly. This prompted a response as the sword-wielding guard held his left hand forward. "Halt." he firmly commanded. "This place is off limits, strangers. What business have you to be coming here?" Even as he spoke, his right hand rested on the hilt of his sword, ready to take out upon provocation. The tall muscular guard looked just as ready to spring into action, calm yet unyielding.

As this happened, Leon and Eun-Ji were watching from outside of the room, still yet undetected by the three mages and the two guards. Eun-Ji reached into her dress with her right hand, taking one of her hidden daggers in preparation for what seemed likely to be a situation that will soon turn violent.

And sure enough. Instead of answering the guard's question, the mages sprang into action. The one that seemed to be the leader of the team, a tall and skinny older man, reached out toward the swordsman, causing his opponent to scream in pain as flesh seemed to disintegrate from his outstretched left arm. It was very clearly blood magic, and the older man was drawing straight from the body of the guard. The tall muscular guard reacted in an instant, rushing forward toward the Blood Mage in a stance readied for a grapple in the Kastäng style. So fast was his reaction that he would have successfully grappled the Blood Mage if not for his allies. The muscular guard's rush suddenly slowed down as another of the mages drawn upon his momentum before then using it to enhance his own as he tackled the guard and wrestled him. At the same time, the last of the mages outwardly didn't seem to be doing much. In reality, she had used her Internal Chemical magic to disorient the muscled guard and weaken him, helping her Kinetic Mage ally.

The situation evidently proceeded quickly against the overwhelmed guards. Eun-Ji looked at Leon, intending to ask him of what course of action they should take. Suddenly however, a figure appeared in front of Leon and Eun-Ji. Zarra, still in his employee costume, holding a pipe.

If Eun-Ji had been a less disciplined fighter, she probably would have stabbed the dagger right into Zarra's neck out of reflex. As it happened, she stopped that reflex reaction as quickly as it emerged, instead simply snapping her gaze quickly toward Zarra. Her expression remained as neutral as ever as she then nodded and whispered quietly, mind focused on the task. "There are now three of us. Shall we move to help the guards now against those mages that very likely are here to steal the Lyre?" For Zarra's benefits, she pointed into the room at the one sided fighting that was happening within, hoping that the Perrench youth will be quick to understand the situation while ignoring the pipe he was holding.

As for Carmillia, her own trek toward the Cargo Hold was entirely free of complications, the distance she had managed to put between her and the brawl pretty much assured of that. She promptly arrived at the other end of the corridor where Leon, Eun-Ji, and now Zarra were in. Picking up her pace into a small run, she was just in time to involve herself in affecting whatever the team might decide to do to handle the Lyre situation.

Retreat From the Sea Monster

Sydney Harbor | Daytime
@PKMNB0Y

Teodora nodded, a smile still on her face as she responded to Elise's thanks toward her. "My pleasure. Just doing my job, fufu. Still, as far as our general situation is concerned..." She observed as whatever little damage her beam shots had inflicted upon the massive Warped were already rapidly being fixed, showing the creature's formidable capability in regenerating damage. "Yes. That is most decisively not a good sight at all. I am loathe to admit it, but it looks like we are currently quite outgunned and out of our depth."

The comm channel soon came alive with message from the HQ. "This is HQ; the target's location has been verified. Selene, Supplice: disengage the Warped and return to base. Over."

"Copy that, HQ. Exactly my thoughts, to be honest." Truthfully there was nothing better to do than to retreat. With Selene's flight capability crippled and Supplice's beam rifle proven to be ineffective against the massive monster, attempting to continue the fight would have been nothing less than a feat of pointless suicide. As reckless and situationally unaware as Teodora can often be, suicidal was more the trait of a certain smaller and rather sadistic girl than that of the Romanian pilot's. "Well then... Let's get out of here without further ado, dear Elise!"

Teodora stored her rifle away, allowing her to use both her hands to gently but firmly grip on to Elise. Of the next barrage of lasers that had been fired once more by the monster, she paid little attention to. Instead, she focused on maximum speed while trusting her barrier to protect them from the attacks. All of Supplice's boosters charged up to the maximum output and with a loud roaring boom, intense jet fires exploded out of them to propel both Teodora and Elise to the direction of the harbor away from the hostile entity, leaving behind contrails in their wake.

Through the Riverboat

The Lorentine Queen | Nighttime

Leon led the two when approaching the double doors going into the lounge. He turned around walking backwards while he talked to his company. “Well Eun-Ji, I know the cargo hold was just an excuse to get me alone. But I really am trying to get this mission done, so let's try to stay on track here.” Leon quipped in a joking manner. “Besides, I think the cargo hold might actually hold the lyre too. So that's a plus.” Leon stopped outside the two doors and turned his attention to them, his eyes leaving Eun-Ji last.

There was a lot of commotion coming from there. The lounge seemed lively, that's always a good thing. Leon would be in his element with all the people. Taking an elated breath in with anticipation for an adoring crowd. With an exaggerated push, the doors swung wide open. Only for Leon to realise just how many people were there and that he was supposed to get through them at a reasonable pace… Impossible.

Eun-Ji looked at Leon as he quipped in jest, face remaining expressionless. Ah. He was joking. she mused in her mind, the joke taking a second before she caught on to it. ”Right… In any case, that was indeed why I suggested checking the cargo hold.” she continued as she followed behind Leon as they entered the longue.

She didn’t pause for more than a split second as she continued on, driven by instinct that was tempered by years of experience. ”Let’s move on. Please follow me.” Her words were said without turning her gaze to look at Leon. Despite how crowded the small lounge was, Eun-Ji’s practiced eyes found a route effortlessly and near instantly, while her mind and body coordinated perfectly to navigate through it all.

Mere moments later, she arrived into a hallway, wide enough that only about three could walk abreast.

Leon looked back to see Eun-Ji’s face, unflinched by his words. Emotionless as ever. He rubbed the back of his neck as he entered the lounge. What was with everyone being so cold tonight? Certainly there was an important mission ahead, but he thought they could at least have some fun with it.

Continuing on into the lounge, Leon was not nearly as effective as Eun-Ji moving through large crowds. “Woah, hey, no need to spill the drink.” He helped stop a man from tripping, leveling his drink. “There are better places for it than on the floor.” He left with a twirl continuing on, Eun-Ji was just ahead of him now. Then a clearly drunk woman grabbed him for a dance. Not wanting to be impolite, he took her for a few steps of a waltz. Appearances were important after all. But as soon as possible he finessed the woman’s hands onto another's, slipping away. Eun-Ji had made some distance.

Leon finally caught up to her in the hallway. “Those people are ravenous, I don’t know how you made it out unscathed.” Clearing exaggerating some form of tiredness.

”I’m just used to it.” she said simply, glancing back at Leon as he caught up to her. Her gaze soon seemed to go to something or someone behind Leon instead, however, as she noticed someone approaching them. Or specifically, Leon.

From behind them, he heard the unmistakable sound of a fan recognizing him. Not now. Any time but now. He couldn’t afford to stick around and entertain the drunken masses, as much as he wanted to. Leon knew he had already held up the trip too long and time was of the essence. Reaching into his pouch, he took out a couple of marbles and tossed them toward the hallway entrance. “Always good to meet my fans! But duty calls I’m afraid.” He delivered with a showman’s tongue as the marbles exploded into a gentle dance of glitter, obscuring the hallway from the patrons’ eyes.

”Okay, let's get out of here. Quickly.”

Eun-Ji nodded, turned her gaze forward once more, and started moving in controlled haste again. ”Agreed.”

The pair continued moving, past the door with a pair of mages that were busy powering the engines that moved the great riverboat's novel 'paddle-wheels'. Eun-Ji glanced at Leon, casually pointing at three figures that moved in a hurry matching their own pace, some distance in front of them. ”Mages. And suspiciously in a hurry while moving towards the direction of the cargo hold. I do not like the implication.” After saying so, Eun-Ji increased her pace even more, ignoring the merry patrons around.

The patrons however, didn’t exactly ignore them in return. Especially Leon. Eun-Ji merely got some curious looks due to her being an exotic. But Leon, on the other hand… “Leon? Leon Solaire? My goodness, it truly is him!” Once more, a fan of his. A middle aged man, approaching the famed entertainer with a wide smile on his face. His shout caused others to look as well, and some of them seemed to also show recognition on their faces.

Leon continued following Eun-Ji until he heard someone calling his name from behind. His eyes widened, they were truly relentless. He slowly turned around to see a fan slowly emerging from the glitter bomb he unleashed in the hallway and more followed him. Would they stop at nothing? There were super fans sure, but this seemed as if something more bestial drove them hidden behind a friendly smile. What else could he do to stop their relentless advance?

“Eun-Ji, I’ll handle this. If I don’t make it out alive, let Carmilla know it probably wouldn’t have worked out between me and her anyway.” Leon took a last look at Eun-Ji before the hoard was upon him, eventually he just lost sight of her.

With an inhale for bravery, Leon mustered the energy to take on the ravenous crowd. ”Well hey, it’s always good to meet fans. What can I do for ya?”

”.....” Hearing Leon’s words, Eun-Ji stopped and looked backward at the one excited fan and the others that were starting to converge on the famous entertainer. Should she really just go away and let Leon handle these people? They were already nearby the cargo hold, and getting separated now would complicate the mission.

No, it simply will not do.

Thus, just as some of the fans were starting to speak up, the lights inside the room suddenly dimmed, plunging the room into darkness as Eun-Ji drew from them. The crowd was distracted, looking around at the suddenly darkened room. Swiftly, Eun-Ji moved, slipping through the crowd, taking Leon’s right hand and pulling him with her while casting an illusion spell on him to make him disappear from sight.

It was only for a few seconds and the light returned to normal. “What was that about, I wonder?” mumbled one of the crowd. “Wait, where’s he? Mr. Leon?” said another.

Leon continued to chat with his adoring fans until the lights started to dim and a hand grabbed him. "Hey, hey, I love my fans but please don't be so handsy… Oh! Eun-Ji it's just you." Recognizing the situation, he started to lower his voice into a whisper.

Meanwhile, Eun-Ji continued moving, left hand grabbing Leon’s hand as she walked beside the still invisible man as she maintained the spell on him. ”Do pardon my decision.” she whispered softly. ”But I judged that being separated now will not help any of us.”

"I am fine with hand holding Eun-Ji, there is no need for pardons."

Leon then turned a call into the hallway. "This is farewell for now. But I'll be doing a show outside the cargo hold. Get as many people as you can and drink as much as you like."

Hearing Leon’s words, the crowd turned their gaze to see Leon with Eun-Ji moving away, already out of reach. A few seemed at first like they wanted to give chase, but either because of how uncouth that will look like to other people or because of Leon’s promise of a show, they relented. Instead, these excited few along with some others maintained a degree of calm as they started to plan to indeed attend the promised show.

Likely, the area outside the cargo hold will soon become quite chaotic.

Eun-Ji let go of Leon’s hand, giving him a nod. ”Would I be correct if I make an assumption that you’re intending to use the crowd to our advantage in securing the Lyre? If so, that is a very clever plan, Leon.”

"Well that and a party goers crowd will turn that riot into nothing but a drunken brawl. That makes it just another normal night in Feska rather than the start of some revolution."

Eun-Ji paused for a brief before nodding once more in approval. ”I see. Very, very clever indeed.” The smallest hint of a smile was briefly on her face. She was impressed that Leon actually planned that widely. She didn’t even think of the riot at all, her mind having decided that the task fell to the others for that.

Thus the two continued on, right on the tail of the three suspicious mages. Soon enough, they arrived right where they needed to be, near the trapdoor to the Cargo Hold. And there stood the three mages that Leon and Eun-Ji had been chasing, facing against two men standing in front of the trapdoor. The stances of all five individuals suggested an imminent beginning of hostility.

Critical Diplomatic Failure Part 2

Dragonspine Mountains | Evening
Dumas@Martian Catherine@13org Almira@Kumbaris

Anki listened quietly as Dumas volunteered to go by himself with the strangers. Truthfully, she saw some good points with his suggestion. He really was likely the one with the most chance to escape unharmed should these people ended up being as sinister as their strange behaviors implied. Regardless, however, considering nothing much was known about the capabilities of these strangers, it remained a doubtlessly risky endeavor. "Like Catherine, I also do not doubt of your capabilities, Sir Dumas. And indeed, there are merits to your suggestion." she nodded at him politely before continuing. "Still, I believe that it shall be a highly risky endeavor nonetheless. If you wishes to go, then it is within your rights to do so as I have no rights of my own to stop you. However, personally, I indeed do not feel that it is a good idea to go with these unknown strangers." she turned her gaze toward Almira and Galmira as she spoke the last of her sentence, expression showing slight hint of suspicion at them.

"In any case... If Catherine's suggestion of a cremation is for a reason or another not acceptable, lifting that corpse should not be of any issue for the golem that I am able to create. That part shall not be a problem. As for the second issue. That of fairness." Anki turned her gaze toward Catherine, nodding in agreement once more toward the alchemist before then shifting her gaze directly at Almira. "I cannot say it any better. As Catherine said... We are only willing to do as much for you as you, yourselves, are willing to do for us. And then, the third issue. That of trust." She paused for exactly three seconds before continuing to speak again. "I know not who you are, nor your people. I know not of your history. The truth of your claims about your people's history as well as your promise of fair treatment are wholly unknown to me. I'm sorry, but I cannot afford to pay no mind to the concerns of you not seeing us as equals. Especially when you have a dragon taking your side."

Attack of the Sea Monster

Sydney Harbor | Daytime
@Izurich@PKMNB0Y

"Mmhmm. Huge is right. My, I think it's even bigger than a blue whale. No, definitely bigger. Also definitely fitting to be called a sea monster." Teodora said as she looked downward toward the underwater silhouette of the gigantic creature, hovering in place at a slightly higher altitude than the other two of her teammates. She continued observing the creature along with Pyra and Elise, noticing the numerous blue balls around the same time as Elise did. It was around that time as well that Teodora realized that they probably shouldn't be gathering motionless above the creature like this. The creature was a Warped after all, and there had never been such thing as a non-hostile Warped as far as Teodora can recall. "Btw..."

"...There's no way it noticed us, right?" Teodora's own words was cut short as she heard Elise muttering, the white-haired girl seeming to realize the same thing. "I think it's hostile! Evasive maneuvers!"

Attacks were launched by the creature immediately after that in the form of multiple beams of laser, mostly aimed at Selene. By reflex, Teodora performed her own evasive movement, dashing to the side as her eyes continued following the trajectory of the beams. Thus, she saw when the beams flew past Elise harmlessly; except for one which curved back around as Elise pulled out her sniper rifle and took aim at the creature, oblivious to the danger. The boosters of Supplice's wings were already charging by then as Teodora again got into moving by reflex, knowing that it was too late to warn Elise about the attack. As the laser struck one of Selene's wings and causing Elise to plummet toward the ocean, Supplice were already in motion, boosting toward her.

"Already on it, Infernus!" Teodora replied to Pyra as she stored back her rapier before then grabbing Elise by the waist as Elise and Selene passed safely through Supplice's energy barrier; Elise's biological marker and Selene both already registered as Friendly in Supplice's IFF system just like with practically all Chi-Mechframes and staff members of the Horizon. "Are you alright, dear Elise?" asked Teodora to the sniper as she continued grabbing Elise around the waist using her right hand. She then turned her gaze toward the creature under water, aimed her beam rifle at it, and then let loose a rapid burst of three beam shots flying toward it.

Fishy Light Pulse

Sydney Harbor | Daytime
@Izurich@PKMNB0Y

"Now where could that big fishy thing be. Hmm..." Teodora mumbled to herself, off the communication channel of course, as she continued her search for the supposed sea monster while maintaining her speed and altitude. Despite the fact that it was an actual mission involving a dangerous warped, she found the act of slowly cruising and searching for the target to be rather boring. Never was one for this kind of mission, even in video games... Still, she tried to keep her senses up as best she can. The motivation to be successful and returning home as a hero again helped to fuel her in this regard.

A while later, Teodora stopped her advance to take a short break. By now, the team was separated by quite a bit of distance. Selene stuck close to the harbor while Infernus was going the other direction from Supplice's own advance. At least they were still within distance to be able to spot each other, helped by the emissions and lights that resulted from each of their flight methods. As Teodora remained hovering in place, briefly looking at her far away teammates, the communication channel came alive with Pyra's voice.

"Infernus reporting, I detected unusual pulses of light from this area... the sunlight seemed to be blocked by something opaque and large enough to do so, akin to a whale. Over."

Unusual pulses of light? Well that's just downright... Fishy. Teodora giggled a bit at her own internal joke. A smile remained in her face following the brief giggle, excitement starting to build back up within her. What Pyra found sounded like it might be a pretty good clue. It might even be the warped itself. I wonder if it's a whale-jellyfish crossover then? These warpeds really like to take interesting forms and shapes, fufu... After that brief line of thought, the jet engines on Supplice's wings charged up once more before then sending Teodora flying through the sky at a significantly faster speed than the cruising speed she were previously maintaining. She headed straight for where Pyra and the pulses of light were at. "Understood, Infernus. Supplice, moving to your position!"

Under the Cradle

The Crow's Nest, Akaia's & Cerise's Room | Dawn

Being back home after such a tiring yet successful mission was a really great feeling for Cerise. Yes, there ended up being casualties in the form of wounded comrades which even included Akaia. Still, nobody were particularly gravely injured or killed, and Cerise like to think that such was a blessing considering they even encountered a Tsar bomba. With her spirits high, the first thing she did as the Commune arrived back to the Crow's Nest was to perform some post-mission maintenance to Lariat before then taking a good bath. Afterwards, all clean and tidy, she had quickly retreated to her room to take a well-earned rest. For Cerise, such rest consisted of a few hours of just reading story books in silence before then sleeping for the rest of the time until the coming of dawn. She never needed more than a few hour of sleep every night.

Waking up, she remained laying on her bed for a while just calmly gazing at the ceiling, ruminating. Ionna will be leaving us today in just a few more hours... The decision to give Ionna over to the Provisional Government was one that gave Cerise some mixed feelings. On one hand, Cerise didn't want Ionna to leave because it'll basically be like losing a friend despite the short time Ionna was with the Commune. On the other hand, Cerise agreed that it was probably for the best for Ionna as a child. The government will keep her safe... As questionable as they can be sometimes, Cerise believed that the Provisional Government in the end really indeed have the best of humanity in mind. All they did, including the pragmatic deeds, were for the survival of humanity and civilized society... At least, again, that was what Cerise convinced herself to believe. In any case, I should say good bye to her later.

Her ruminations done, she rose from her bed, standing up and quietly doing some stretching. Taking a quick look to the other side of the room after that, she noticed Akaia still inside her capsule. Cerise smiled subconsciously, glad that her best friend was there with her despite the intense situation during the mission the day before. Not wanting to disturb Akaia, Cerise then quietly took a towel and her tooth brush, intending to start her morning preparations. She walked to the door, taking one more look back at Akaia's capsule. This made her realize a rather peculiar thing... A very faint glow from a box placed under the capsule. Huh... Curious, she walked over. Remaining quiet, she crouched down to examine the box. It looked to be quite old, with a red cross on top. Gingerly, Cerise used her free hand to pull the box closer before opening the lid wider.

"....." Her eyes opened wide as she was briefly stunned, body tensing up. She did not particularly like what she found within. Promptly, she closed the lid of the box, pushed it back to where it was, stood up, and left the room quietly. The one she found the day before was enough of a surprise already and she definitely didn't feel like dealing with any other nasty surprises for a while.

One vestige was one too many. Two were just way too much to deal with.

The Crow's Nest, Great Room | Evening
Interactions: Erik@FunnyGuy, Lysandra@Force and Fury

After saying her farewell to Ionna, Cerise spent most of the rest of the day to help with the preparations of the karaoke night by decorating the room. It was nothing crazy, just some simple things like small party lamps or random small decorations hanged or attached here and there that will be easy to tidy up once the party is over. In the end, the preparations were done in time for the party itself. She left the room after that to check the garden and make sure everything was fine with the plants within.

Returning to the Great Room after about half an hour, she found Erik taking a slice out of a cake. Lysandra was also there, glancing around in a peculiar way with her own slice of cake. "Hi big bro, Lys! Oh my, we have a cake ready for the party I see. Hehe, great!" She happily skipped over to the table where the cake was placed, took her own slice, and then walked over to a couch to sit down. She took a bite of the cake, finding it delicious just like Erik and Lys before her. "This is delish!" She said, a big smile on her face. "Did you make this, Lys? Or was it you, big bro? Whoever it is should be in charge of dessert from now on!" Of course, she was still oblivious of who in reality had made the cake. That will be another surprise in a day where she didn't feel like handling nasty surprises, but at least it will be a sweet surprise instead.

That said... She still wouldn't volunteer to take the first bite if she had known who made the cake.
