If they are a must it would've made more sense to have lockouts for RPs, not discussion threads. You're more likely to have people necro 8 year old interest checks/roleplays than these threads.

Yep. Discussion threads should not get locked after any period of time, I think it actually killed a few threads as a result...

I would recommend thinking of what kind of teenaged archetype, character upbringing, and overall personality more than wondering if you like turquoise or lavender more.

If I made a playable character in the main five I would gravitate as the antithesis of the leader/red, the techie/nerd savant type, or perhaps the one who doesn't fit in at all. I always seem to like the more "lancer" type characters, which in my experience have the most fun when they are particularly moody.

I should say that if your concept is just a gimmick, I'm less likely to feel comfortable with accepting the sheet when I release the OOC and sheet format.

The crux is making a character dynamic that gels with others, but this is also Power Rangers and not Euphoria so keep in mind that you can have layers without having an exceedingly dark backstory. These characters are starting points. I am currently unsure if I will be applying for a individual ranger myself, but I have to see where everyone is at with concepts beyond color.
