Tryke Lockley

Location: Repair Dock 17 --> MoR

Tryke frowned, stomping her foot on the ground a bit. More and more damage reports were coming in, her PDA constantly buzzing. She took the thing off, and let out a mixture between a groan and a scream. If it wasn't against everything she stood for, she would have smashed the machine in her rage.

She paced back and forth, pinching the bridge of her nose. A bloody T-1 had shown up and started making sacrifices for them. That never had happened before--it didn't make any sense. It was as confusing as if two and two made five, and Tryke wanted nothing more than to scream until reality was restored. But that option wasn't available to her--she had a tower to fix. And screaming about the weirdness of the T-1 wouldn't fix it.

"Everyone is on call," Tryke said softly, putting her PDA back on. She opened a channel with all of the repair crew, and assigned a team to each tower. A few of them groaned, complaining that they had just gotten on break.

Tryke had a few choice words for those few.

Words that would not belong in polite company.

Or even in impolite company.

"If you have any special issues, you fucking think it over one more time, ask a buddy, consult your god or whatever, and only then do you come to me," Tryke snapped, before closing the channel. As much as she was itching to get to work and join in on the repairs, she had another role to fill. The role of managing the repair team, of ensuring that everything went smoothly. More repair reports continued to come in, and Tryke stretched her force as much as she could, sending multiple teams to every location that she could.

"Lock, we need someone in the MoR," one of the leads said, coming on over the PDA. "Come up here pronto and fix this goddamn glass."

She huffed a bit, not bothering to reply. Waving over her last two repair crew members, she instructed them to go and prepare some glass, and cut it for the standard size of the viewing window. Then, they'd bring it up to the MoR, and Tryke would install it herself. Hopefully, the fix would be that simple.

But of course, she wouldn't know until she saw it herself. She punched in the code on the elevator, angrily scanned her ID, and quickly shot up towards the head of the tower. As she went up, more and more reports came in, this time further complications from her team. She swore, tapping her foot impatiently.

Hopefully, this type of thing wouldn't become the new normal.

The elevator doors opened, and Tryke stepped into the MoR. It wasn't too often that she went up here. She preferred the company of her team to the bureaucratic puppets at the top of the tower. Glancing over, she indeed saw that the window had been shattered, though the slight bit of blood on the ground was more alarming.

Did the T-1...bleed...? Tryke pondered. She shook her head, trying not to stare, as she went over to the window, and assessed further damage to the MoR. Completing her report, she forwarded the details down to the members of her team assisting her with MoR repairs.
@hagroden Accepted! :) Please put him in the Characters tab and post in the IC as soon as you can.

Apartment 6B is where he'll be living
Edwina Fairfax

Location: The Sanctuary Dorms --> The Sanctuary Kitchen
Interacting with: Nyt Årud/Echo - @Din, Mercury @Gilgex

Eddie continued sprinting, only to hear a whisper in her ear. For a moment, she took a sharp breath, remembering the way the masks had whispered to her. She shook her head, hearing Nyt running ahead of her.

Swearing a bit, Eddie went invisible. She projected a virtual image of herself directly behind Nyt, and ran as quickly as she could towards the rooms. Being extra light sensitive, Edwina could see a tiny label on room 101, stating their names. She grinned, holding back the urge to chuckle, in case Nyt noticed she was racing someone who didn't exist. She slipped into the room, opening the door slowly, like a ghost.

Taking her spot on a bed in the corner, Edwina watched as Nyt dashed inside, whooping and cheering. The fake Edwina approached the door, looking on with disappointment. ”I’m sorry! I couldn’t help myself.”

Edwina forced the illusion to look only more heartbroken, shifting its weight to the other side. ”I feel really bad now. I’ll make it up to you! How would you like a tasty grilled cheese sandwich? I’m always hungry after a trip and you could tell me about yourself!”

Chuckling a bit, Edwina snapped her fingers, and the illusion disappeared. "Well, the first thing you need to know about me is that I'm actually over here, not over there."

She smirked a bit, hoping her roommate would be astonished and impressed. Or at least, have an amusing enough reaction that Edwina could resist the urge to go scream at Mercury and hit him. Jackson would do that--not her. However, Nyt quickly dragged Edwina into the kitchen, and she scowled, wanting to be anywhere but there.

She eyed Mercury sourly. "Me cago en tu puta madre," Eddie said at him pointedly. She had looked up on Google had to swear in Spanish, just for the day when she'd get into a confrontation with Mercury or any other asshole who spoke the language.

Wait...is there a name for when a human and a shadow are together? Like, umbraphelia or something? Or is it a subcategory of beastiality? These are important questions!

Bestiality. You hit it spot on.

"My dad is kind-of a ghost." Should be on one of her shirts.

Mercury or Jackson? ;)

Though right now Eddie and Mercury are fighting. XD And Mercury is Jackson's roommate.
Eddie is just gonna wear a different funny t-shirt each time. :P
Millicent Blair

Location: Home --> The Beach
Interacting With: Alice Kennedy @Nallore

Millicent's cell phone buzzed incessantly, robbing her of further sweet dreams. She groaned, not yet acclimated to the Australian timezone. Back in Scotland, things had been much simpler. Her mother often spoke of her own childhood in America, but even then, Millicent couldn't imagine anything better than the rolling Scottish hills.

Sliding her thumb, Millicent accepted the call. "Hello? Who is this?"

"An inmate at Cornton Vale Prison is attempting to contact you. To accept the call, please press one."

Millicent pressed one, grinning. It must have been Neil. She always was his favorite in the family--or at least, she imagined it to be so. He would call her about once a month, giving her an update on prison life.

"Neil!" Millicent exclaimed. "How are you? How's jail?"

The line crackled, though Millicent supposed it could have just been Neil chuckling. His voice was scratchy and hoarse, worse than the last time she had heard from him. It was as if he was a balloon, the helium gone, and replaced with a rock paste. "Missed you, kiddo. Listen I need a favor..."

"Neil, what is it?" Millicent asked, trying her hardest to believe in her brother. While her parents and siblings insisted on not sending too much money, fearing he'd spend it on drugs, Millicent tried to look on the positive side of things. Neil still talked to her, and he was alive. And hopefully, hopefully he might be sober as well.

"I need some extra cash," Neil said awkwardly.

"What for?" Millicent asked. "Food?"

"Yeah, yeah," Neil replied. "Look, if you could send it by Friday, that'd be great. Love you Milly girl!"

The line went dead, and Millicent groaned. Try as she may, she knew that Neil wouldn't be using the money for food. But yet, she couldn't refuse him. He was her brother, her big brother, the one that had taught her to ride a bike and tie her shoes. She owed him, and of course, she wasn't certain he was using the money on drugs. She'd do the best she could to allow her brother to do the best he could.

Hey Milly! Was wondering if you wanted to hang out at the beach or something soon, if you aren't asleep that is. If not I can swing by later.

Millicent glanced down at the phone, and smiled. She had met Alice not too long after she arrived in Australia, and had been welcomed with open arms. Resolving to go to the beach, Millicent gathered up a towel and sunscreen, changing into a swimsuit and shorts. Fortunate to live nearby, it was just a short walk, but thoughts of her brother continued to plague her.

Was he still the brother she knew and loved? She hesitated, before reprimanding herself. Of course Neil was her brother. Drugs couldn't change that much. She would just have to continue onwards, and eventually, Neil would be able to stop. She couldn't force him to change. He had to want to change.

Glancing up, she squinted as the sun got in her eyes. In a few moments, she saw Alice, spread out on a towel.

"Hey Alice!" Millicent shouted, dashing over. "Sorry I forgot to let you know I was coming, had a call from my brother this morning."
