@mnkee Ah, I see potential for Virginia and him. They both enjoy the sort of chaos brought on by the Soulless and hate the Season. However, I don't see her being interested in him without her seeing him get passionate about something. She'd need a Gomez for her Morticia, I think.

Who knows, maybe Milli will set them up. And this all assumes that Alfred (Virginia's butler/grandfather figure) approves.

October chuckled a bit, noting her roommate's discomfort, but she decided not to push the issue. She had spoken with the spirits of her parents on several occasions, and she felt no guilt over her actions. She was too young to understand or control her talent, and their ghosts seemed to harbor no ill-will towards her. There would be no reason for them too, after all. In general, October found her parents' ghosts to be perhaps almost too chatty, and they constantly pestered her with questions. They were supportive, rather than angry.

"I doubt very much it's a sex toy," October chuckled, pondering the subject at some length. "It's likely some artifact or the other that Faust had collected. It's a test, I imagine, to see if we're worth the trouble." She shrugged ever so slightly, not all too concerned personally with winning the competition.

When Carolina asked October if she had any questions for her, October thought about it for a moment. She had lived among normals before and never truly liked them, but Carolina seemed to have had an altogether good experience. She was a sweet girl, from what October could tell. "Perhaps one--will you ever tell your sister of your oddity?"

Cynthia was as bubbly as ever and Iris continued to feel stressed and concerned. She didn't trust the agent or any of the orderlies not to simply kill Jaina and be done with it. It was too easy for people to forget that these patients were sick, and in Iris' opinion, they couldn't be held responsible for their actions. It would be like holding someone accountable for flu symptoms--they hadn't decided one day to catch the flu and throw up.

"In her room, probably the best option," Iris answered, smiling a bit with relief when she saw the woman was simply knocked out, and didn't have a bullet in her skull. She considered for a moment the possibility of putting Jaina in her office, but there were too many instruments in there that she imagined the woman could get creative with. She felt a little unnerved as Cynthia kissed Jaina's forehead. But that feeling tended to come with the job.

"Oui, oui, I'll go fetch it now," Iris nodded. "Wait here, okay, ma cherie?" She nodded at the orderlies nearby, giving a silent look of keep her here as she did so. They didn't need the patients getting underfoot, especially as forensics and the likes began to arrive at the scene. She glanced down the hallway, looking for either Jaina's room or a vacant one.

"Agent, perhaps this room will work," Iris suggested, spotting an unassigned room towards the end. Patients came and went in the halfway house. She figured that the room must have been vacated rather recently, but at any rate, it'd be a good enough spot to put Jaina for the moment. And it'd have another benefit--no bobby pins would be inside. She didn't want to let the woman have a chance to get creative again.
