Jack Newnan

Location: the Bus
Skills: N/A

Jack turned and looked at his wife, putting an arm around her. He couldn't help but enjoy the air conditioning. Part of him was having a wild fantasy that this bus would take them back in time - maybe to the 80's? Was there a woman named Miss Frizzle around with magic powers who could make that happen? At any rate, he and Tatiana could get a small starter home. He'd get hired on as a police officer in their town and he would buy her a dance studio if he could one day. Little Jamie would play with kids his age once he was old enough.

It was so tempting to just get lost in the fantasy. "It's like a dream," Jack mumbled to his wife. They had a doctor at this settlement or base, whatever it was going to be called. Jamie would get the medicine that he needed. He'd be able to stay in one location, no longer forced to move around each and every day. After Newnan, Jack hadn't been certain if they'd ever be able to relax again and enjoy simple luxuries. He supposed it shouldn't have been too strange to think that there had to be other groups out there that weren't like Eden.

"I love ya, solovey," he then whispered to her. He knew that even in this safety, he couldn't afford to let his guard down again. He had nearly lost Tatiana and Jamie last time. That wasn't allowed to happen again.

Beatrice Decker

Location: the Bus
Skills: N/A

Beatrice hoped that Thalia would sit with her, as silly as it may have seemed. She hadn't imagined that today she would be back to the old high school worries of who would sit with who on the bus. Who would be the cool kids sitting in the back? Who would be the lonely nerds up front, learning to socialize with the bus driver? The worries and concerns felt alien - but even then, Beatrice had to admit that they had seemed odd back when she was growing up anyways. Granted, her childhood had been fairly atypical. She had gone in and out of juvi regularly in Justice.

"I'm not sure I'm their friend," Beatrice admitted to Thalia, thinking back to her request to introduce everyone from Newnan. "Friends aren't really my area... But the couple there, their names are Tatiana and Jack. She's shy and he's an idiot. Navy's boyfriend - Ash, he was in charge of Newnan before it died," Beatrice said, reflecting back on that pivotal day. "He was best friends with James. Then the blonde... I think her name is Riley, her twin sister was a hot mess. And then the ginger is Amelia. She's pretty quiet from what I remember."

Beatrice couldn't help but notice more than who was there who wasn't there. Tiffany - she had been friends with the lawyer. Ray - he had been moderately amusing, lacking both limbs. It wasn't surprising to her that he didn't make it. Froggy - the doctor of Newnan, old, so again, not too shocking. There were more she didn't see as well, but the names weren't coming to her just then, only the faces.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Highway to Hell Grimm
Skills: N/A

Cecily couldn't help but giggle slightly, an honest smile on her face."I think if you say vroom vroom, that knocks you down at least five points on the macho masculinity scale," she said, still giggling a bit. It was nice to have a conversation that wasn't completely life or death - just to have a breather and get to tease her friend about his word choice. She felt safe around Roy and although he was essentially her partner, she also recognized he was basically old enough to be her father - and was probably already doing a better job at being supportive than her own parents had ever been.

She then nodded a bit, returning her attention to the topic of Roy's new partner. She could understand that paranoia, not really trusting people. Everyone seemed to be connected to what was going on in Justice one way or another. "Speaking of secrets... Natasha apparently had a connection to MSS," Cecily explained, glancing at Roy. "Her best friend's sister works for them - Lincoln couldn't remember the company name but he said it had blade or dagger or something like that in the title... And I don't think the universe is lazy enough for that to just be a coincidence..."

"She also told me she lied... I think about the murders. I just don't understand why she lied - from what I could tell, she was a good person who always did the right thing... Maybe it was for Lincoln but... If that's the case, then there's just something going on... I'm just not sure how to connect it all. I was wondering if maybe you did."

Jia Li

{"When it rains, it pours..."}

"Rain won't kill flames like that easily," Jia Li commented. Rila had started essentially a wildfire. Jia Li had added a bit to it. She doubted that it would rain hard enough to put a dent in these flames - and she felt a bit bad about that. So much forest and life was going to be destroyed in the process. That was one of the curses of a fire bender - their powers doomed them to destruction. Yet she had decided that if she couldn't protect what she loved, then she would destroy what she hated - the perversion that the Fire Nation had become.

"No guards. Village looks peaceful - unoccupied territory," Jia Li said. She knew that there would be a cost to fleeing there. The Fire Nation likely would invade it soon enough, but the ends had to justify the means. They needed a place to hide and change their clothing, so that way they could join forces with the Rebellion... Well, she wasn't too sure what the others were planning on, but that was her intentions at any rate.

Scott Rydzynski

Location: Pike's Place - Seattle, Washington
Interacting With: Isley and the Kids

Janelle still didn't seem to get it, a fact that irritated Scott to no end. Ideally, they would vanish into thin air. No one would wonder why she was with Scott, since no one would know. They were adopted or something, right? As far as Scott figured, that meant they'd just be seen as runaways and the adoptive parents or whatever likely wouldn't care too much. It made his heart feel heavy for a moment. Did his daughter's adoptive parents care about her? Would they just brush things off if Jenna ran away?

He then spotted the bloody Eagles cap. His mind went back to the murder he had witnessed in Philadelphia. Was this evidence? Or was it just a coincidence? Either way, he wasn't dumb enough to put his prints all over it, so he holstered his gun and then took off his jacket. Using his jacket, he picked up the baseball cap and walked back over to the others. "The son of a bitch left this. Odds are, he's the one committing the murders. And unless you three want to end up in a bodybag, then don't let ANYONE know where we're going. GOT IT?!" he snapped. They didn't seem to take this seriously.

Washington D.C.: September 7th, 2020 - 1:30 PM

@FantasyChic: "Yeah, I'm working at the Air and Space Museum," he told her with a bit of a smile. "So I suppose that makes me both a nerd and a geek, then?" he asked, chuckling a bit. A few people were wandering down the aisle, wearing t-shirts with Donald Trump on them, the ex-Republican president. It had one of his more famous quotes: "Lock 'Em Up!" in reference to the growing mutant problem. Luke glanced at them and frowned, before looking at Leighton. "I do have to say - this country is great at discrimination," he said, shaking his head. "Things are different back home..."

Veil

Location: Apartment Complex - Parking Lot
Skills: Invisible Energy Manipulation
Luckily for them, Havok and Colossus had already managed to get most of the apartment residents into one area. It would be a quick and easy evacuation, relatively speaking. And since it was the middle of the day on a workday, only fourteen people in total were home. All of the pets had already been safely evacuated too - Colossus was a huge animal lover and Havok had a soft spot for cats. "Good," Veil said, though it made her nervous as well. Power outage would likely trigger a police response and if they were found using their powers in the open like this, they'd be arrested. They weren't rich and privileged like the X-Men.

She then saw something quite bizarre: what looked like a mixture between a blizzard and a tornado, whisking away a bunch of Purifiers and sending them flying in circles. "I-I-I d-didn't know you could do that," Veil said, her teeth chattering. Veil and Spark Plug would both get a near instant case of frost bite. Unbeknownst to them, so did Colossus and Havok. They were currently behind the complex, defending from that side.

Veil then sneezed. "G-god, this fucking sucks...O-Okay, c-can you do the chute thing already so?" Veil then shook her head slightly, not quite able to take it anymore. She made a small platform like force field appear underneath Sparky, using it to lift and carry her friend into the apartment complex where the tenants were. Veil followed soon after her, panting a lot from the energy it had taken.

"S-so damn cold..." she muttered, not dressed for this weather.

Sunshine

Location: Millennium Plaza - Sidewalk
Skills: Survival, Disease Manipulation, Enhanced Accuracy
"You know stealing is illegal, right?" Sunshine quipped at Gray, smirking a little bit. She stole to get by all of the time, but it didn't mean she couldn't enjoy teasing the man. In the very short time Sunshine had known him, she had discovered that she adored teasing the mutant about just about everything that he did. The other one - she had mentally labeled him as Gray's boyfriend - she respected slightly more. He had tried to heal her, after all.

Sunshine then glanced around, noticing nothing really in the way of security cameras and the likes. There could have been a clown covered in blood right in front of her and she wouldn't have noticed. There were eight police officers in total down the street at the Boutique and they easily spotted the trio running out of the comic book store.

"Freeze! This is D.C. PD! If you resist, we will use lethal force!"

Sunshine turned, raising her arms slowly until they were above her head. Her hands were closed.

"Open your hands, NOW!" a cop said, aiming guns at them.

"If you say so..." Sunshine said, opening them. Green smoke seemed to rush out from her hands, going at the cops and they involuntary seemed to inhale it up their nostrils. The cops started feeling like they had terrible migraines, squinting uncomfortably with the light and wanting to go curl up indoors.

@BlueSky44@Kirah@Nallore@FantasyChic@Bee
The Bus - U.S. Air Space: August 30th, 2020 - 10:00 P.M.

@BlueSky44:

Raynor woke up, coughing and looking weak. He had lost a lot of blood, something that even Asgardian physiology could not compensate for. "Lana?" he whispered, looking at her with confusion. His eyes widened a bit as he saw the Wasp, before realizing she was wearing a suit and was not some sort of alien (ironic, right?) there to eat him. "What... what happened?" he mumbled. He had short term memory loss from his ordeal.

"I'm Janet van Dyne," the Wasp finally said, breaking the silence. "What year is it?" she then asked, looking at Raynor and Sparky.

"Uh... 2020..."

"...Oh my god."

Bonnie Chase

Location: The Bus - Level One - Laboratory
Skills: N/A

The Bus' engines were humming away, happy to have been repaired at the Playground. When they left, they had shut the base down and armed it, hopefully strong enough to destroy any HYDRA operatives who went near it. Bonnie's mind had been on that briefly, but she was largely going through the laboratory and taking inventory on everything she could find there. They were critically short on medical supplies, having not been able to fully restock at the Playground. From her estimation, they only had enough to treat three gravely wounded agents - and that wasn't what she was comfortable with. She wanted enough to treat twenty.

However, what the laboratory lacked in medical supplies it more than made up for in experimental technology. There were more than just I.C.E.R.'s in these boxes. There was a gun that froze its target in solid ice. Two belts that were outfitted with antigravity devices, allowing the user to float and fly. There were suits that allowed for natural camouflage, adapting to the environment and general scenery to render the wearer invisible. Bonnie even found what looked like a tube of lipstick, but turned out to be a laser.

"Coulson would go nuts for this stuff..." Bonnie muttered, picking up a pair of what looked like roller skates, but they had small engines strapped onto them in order to allow for rocket like propulsion. There was a pair of sunglasses and when she put them on, she could see through walls. "Seriously this stuff is nuts..."

She then picked up her comm and turned it on. "Barton, Abercrombie, we're critically low on medical supplies - however, we hit the jackpot with experimental tech. It's like a Stark Industries going out of business sale in this lab."

Dominika Novikova

Location: the Bus - Level Two - Command Center
Skills: N/A

Novikova knew that she wasn't exactly being a happy camper. Sure, it made logical sense for them to go and hit Creed Financial now, while HYDRA was still relatively unaware of their plans. She knew that. But it also made logical sense to do everything she could for Sparky right now, before the probability fields changed and wave functions collapsed and her friend was lost forever. The tragic thing was deep down, Novikova knew that they had already lost their window - Sparky was as good as dead.

What was the point in saving the world if she couldn't even save her best friend?

Nikolai had given her some surprising words of encouragement in Russian. It was nice to be able to speak the language with someone, but at the same time, her mind was still just going over and over everything that had happened. There had to be some sort of way to rescue Sparky - to bring her home, even if it was just in a body bag...

"Copy that, Agent Chase," Hawkeye said. "Everyone, come to command center. Abercrombie's going to be going over the logistics of the mission." Tempest had managed to find the crucial details of the bank. It was defended with a mutant detection system, meaning the alarms would trip if most of their team entered the facility. Luminous was most likely inside as well on the prowl and the vault was reinforced with adamantium. They'd need to find a clever way to open it.

@Trainerblue192 Okay, few fixes:
  • You left training blank - if he hasn't had any, put N/A. If he has, you need to put where and for how long
  • Personality needs to be 2 paragraphs
  • Gymnastics and Parkour are both considered combat skills. Also, since you have 4 combat skills listed, he needs to have had some sort of training (see my previous comment)
  • Needs a theme song
I myself didn't join EH because the rules system looked to be entirely too intricate for something I wasn't even sure if it would last. I don't want to spend all of the time and effort jumping through those hoops if I'll ultimately get nothing out of it. It also wasn't a very defined plot/story arc/even a theme in my opinion, and any of that shared universe type experience I wanted can largely be simulated by a GM or a group of GM's (for instance, @Lady Amalthea has an amazing RP multiverse) with a more streamlined process, clearly defined ideas, and attentive GM and Co-GMs.

Guin Stark

Location: Second Sub Basement - the Danger Room -> First Sub Basement - Chemical Laboratory
Skills: N/A

Guin then blushed slightly, realizing that the two of them were pretty much just staring at each other in the Danger Room. She was pretty hungry too, she then noticed. It was odd - she had gone pretty much all day without eating and now that she finally had some quality time with her boyfriend, her stomach was grumbling. It was annoying, really - they could have been making out by now! "So um... How was your day?" she asked Pietro, still staring at him.

"It's been okay... Been running across the ocean and back again for Xavier, stopped by a few places here in the states too... A little boring honestly..."

"I'm surprised you agreed to be a messenger pigeon for him..." Guin added softly.

"...Why is that surprising? I mean, not like we really had anything planned for today... Plus I usually do a bit of running when I get bored... I've been to other countries on the fly before, you know that... Just this caused me to be away longer than I had thought..." he said as he pulled a Twinkie from his pocket and tossed another one to her as he started eating one. "Besides, I got you something."

"I would've gone with you if you asked..." Guin pointed out, catching the Twinkie. She just put it into her pocket, not intending on eating it just then.

"Eat the Twinkie Guina, you can't hide the fact that you might actually be hungry from me. Eat something, now!" he said, looking at her. "Then I'll give you the present I got you."

She rolled her eyes. When people told her to do something, it made her not want to do that thing at all. "I don't like being handed things."

"Fine, no present and no kisses either for you then!"

Maybe he was bluffing. Maybe he was being completely serious. And maybe if she hadn't been feeling particularly emotionally vulnerable already that day, Guin would have continued to be stubborn and refused to eat. Instead, she took out the Twinkie from her pocket and quietly ate it, not really saying anything. The threat of no kisses made her feel a little bit guilty - which in turn made her feel like she was clingy and needy - and then an entire other cascade of negative emotions.

Pietro gave her a smile, before he raced behind her and placed a hat on her head that was identical to the one he was wearing. "Tada! New hat!"

"Thanks," she said, forcing a smile.

"...Are you okay Guina?"

She nodded, brushing hair out of her eyes that had fallen into her face when Pietro put the hat on her. "Yeah, I'm fine...I'm glad you had fun today, though, running all over the place and stealing hats apparently."

"...You don't seem okay Guina, please... Tell me what's wrong?"

"...Just been getting flashes of Muscles again... Feeling useless... Then shitty over you saying you won't kiss me again... And feeling pathetic," Guin mumbled, looking down. "Got into a fight with my dad, too... So that's great."

"Hey, it's okay Guina... Don't worry..." he said softly, before pulling her into his arms.

She nodded a bit, putting her arms around him as she took a deep breath. She was short enough that her head was pretty much on his chest and she could hear his heartbeat. Sometimes, when she couldn't sleep at night, she would just listen to it. Other times, she'd wake him up and inform him they were going to binge watch Batman: the Animated Series. Both approaches seemed to be effective. "Then Richard started fucking with me... You should beat him up, it was really annoying..."

"Hey, maybe I will," he said with a grin, "Been looking for an excuse to kind of beat him up anyway, he is so annoying."

She couldn't help but giggle at that. "I had told him to fuck off - and then he sent me a text saying he was flattered but I wasn't his type. So you definitely should beat him up for that."

"Gladly Guina."

"I love you."

"I love you too Guina."

Guin then stood on her toes and gave him a quick kiss, the fronts of their hats crashing into each other from the proximity and hers fell to the ground, knocked off of her head. Pietro smiled, before putting the hat back on her head, "Let's go see where everyone else is," he said with a smile, picking her up (and making sure that the hat didn't fall off her head) and raced up to the chemical lab.

"Or finding Guin would just take two seconds thanks to a speedster."

"Hey there Lance, Bethany," Pietro said with a slight wave setting Guin back on the ground.

"I was just downstairs...Did you miss me or something, Lando?" Guin asked, holding Pietro's hand and leaning against him.

"Just wondering where you had taken off to..."

"Oh, my dad needed me to call him back..."

"Sounds like a fun conversation Guina..."

Guin just shrugged a bit, not really wanting to talk about it - especially since Bethany was here and she didn't really know her all that well. It was would have been a little awkward to tell her this sort of thing, and there was a chance that Bethany might turn around and sell the story to some gossip magazine anyways. "So Lance... What are you and Beth up to?"

"Nothing really at the moment..."

Dean Kesseli

Location: First Floor - Formal Sitting Room
Skills: N/A

Dean then raised an eyebrow, looking at Richard. He looked deflated - as if he were made out of party balloons and someone had poked a tiny hole in him in order to let out the gas. "You okay, man?" Dean asked. He then saw two little fairy kids come over and start pestering Richard. It kind of reminded him of how some of the little kids liked to jump on Wolverine's back and ask for piggy back rides. How the mighty had fallen.

"Um, man, are those your kids or did you kidnap them or something?" Dean asked. "Because if you did, that's like super illegal and you'll need to put them back wherever you found them... Also, kind of weird for you to be kidnapping kids dude, no offense. Aren't you trying to not get put back in prison?" he pointed out. It was all incredibly confusing to him, especially since Richard seemed to be on a first name basis with the kids and was going on about Ayita. At the mention of the shifter, he felt a bit sick.

What if Ayita got mad that he had snapped at her and came back, looking for revenge? He was shaken out of his thoughts as he saw three cats tear on by, heading into the parlor. Dean snapped his head in that direction, incredibly confused."... You have cats too, Richard?"

Neil Spellman

Location: Library - Ground Floor
Skills: N/A

Neil's head hurt for a split second, but the pain faded away so quickly he didn't even really register what had happened. He shifted slightly in his chair, before he neatly packed away his art supplies and put them underneath the table where all of the Dungeons and Dragons stuff was set up. It was probably going to be about an hour he figured until people would want to come and play again, which was fine by him - it gave him chance to get up and stretch his legs some.

"Isn't that cheating if I help you plot?" Neil pointed out to Sara, his eyes darting up to meet hers as he smiled slightly. She really was pretty. He liked her a lot, so much that he had to make himself look away again as he got up from his seat. "Sure, we can go look for people..." he said. "Probably want to tell them we're regrouping in about an hour, then once we get to another stopping point I think we'll call it quits for tonight..." he reasoned. He really wanted them to get farther in the game before they ended the day's session.

Hopefully, the players in his game wouldn't be called away on any X-Men adventures that would interfere with the game. "Come on, maybe they're in the parlor or something..."
