Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Ville au Camp - the Kitchen House
Skills: N/A

At the mention of lines, Andromeda paused for a moment. To her, Ben's comparison of his line to the Emendators was significant. It may have been an assumption on her part, but she had to wonder who started Ben's line - if they themselves were something akin to an Emendator. Language was incredibly important and critical here. Was Ben descended from an Emendator that could have children? Her thoughts flickered to Drem and Eve for a moment. She knew that Eve had loved him - and she figured that the news that there was a line that could have children, a line of people with abilities similar to hers... It might have broken her heart.

She nodded at Gilbert, not wanting to discuss that much further. Her mind especially was instantly distracted by how rapidly nightfall had come. Someone was manipulating time inside of the Loop - but that was supposed to be Giouse's power set, right? There were so many abilities from those at Carnivale that were similar to theirs. Andromeda had to wonder if they had someone like Gilbert or Nancy as well. Was Ben related to the person in charge - the one called Management? Was Management a part of his line or another one?

Andromeda gave James a slight smile as he gave her some food. "Thanks," she told him with a slight smile. She did like him - that couldn't be helped. She nodded at Giouse, understanding that coffee wouldn't be happening. Finishing up her food, her eyes lingered on James for a brief moment, a slight blush in her cheeks, before she turned and followed Gilbert out with Sophia.

Leda Storm

Location: Iris Cabin -> Dining Pavillion

Sometimes, it felt so incredibly slow to just walk places. She and her siblings could move incredibly quickly, thanks to their mother's job as a messenger of the gods. Sometimes, it made her wonder if any demigods had ever actually tried to be superheroes with their powers - though the Mist would have prevented them from being seen as anything extraordinary. She could have zipped around like the Flash and no one would blink an eye. It was moments like these where she wondered whether the Mist was needed - long ago, people knew about the things that it hid. And then they stopped believing in them. Was the Mist the reason why?

Leda took a seat next to her sister, leaving the philosophical wondering about the Mist behind for a moment. "Besides hearing what's got Chiron's panties in a knot and then totally crushing it at Capture the Flag?" Leda asked with a smirk. She noticed Marygold at one of the tables over - the two of them were friends. Picking up a bit of food from her plate, Leda lobbed it at Mary, aiming to hit her in the head. "Hey Isley!" It was fun to antagonize one's friends a little bit from time to time.

Jia Li

Jia Li felt surprisingly calm, facing down a group of five Fire Nation soldiers. It made sense that it wouldn't be incredibly easy to leave the city, though they did have money now. Worst case scenario, they'd either fight these soldiers off or they would pay a bribe to be on their way. She knew it was more like that the soldiers would end up engaging them, especially since one of them looked about ready to fight. Ryuu and Rila both almost instantly gave the same story - and it sounded incredibly fishy and unnatural to Jia Li's ears, so she had to imagine how the guards would react to it as well. Probably not very well.

"Did something happen?" Jia Li asked, purposefully making her voice as soft and feminine as she could. "I told my husband that there had to be something going on," she then added, hooking an arm around Ryuu's and mentally hoping he would play along. She figured that the soldier would take well to feeling like he was there to protect them - that they were just a group of innocent people put in danger by prison escapees. She really hoped that this add on to the story would work - otherwise, she'd need to hope that her fire power was still working. The freezer hadn't been kind to her.

Beatrice Decker

Location: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: N/A

Beatrice spotted a crowd forming around the young couple with the baby out of the corner of her eye, making her glad that she had decided to go and eat with Alex. She appreciated silence and didn't especially want to talk right then. All of the talkative, extroverted types could go flock to each other - and she and Alex could have a perfectly enjoyable meal without exchanging a word. She missed that type of company as well. She had had a few friends in Juvi that had been like that - they were able to just sit by each other without speaking a single word. It always made her feel calm and centered.

As for the debate over the food, Beatrice was eating her own food slowly and methodically. If her stomach ended up not able to handle the richness of it all, then she would deal with that when it came around. But for the moment, she felt fine. In fact, she felt warm - the type of warmth that came from consuming a hot home cooked meal. She maintained her silence as Gunny came into the room, giving the first rule of this new life. She wondered if they would find out she had lied partially on the intake form, but she kept her face neutral. Beatrice still didn't know if she would end up staying here - if she would just leave once Thalia, Manny, and Alex were taken care of. They all needed the type of security a large group could afford, but Beatrice felt she would be better on her own most likely, outside of the military lifestyle.

Still though, Beatrice wasn't sure, so she watched and listened - eating small bites of food as she did so.

Jack Newnan

Location: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: Russian

Jack would have preferred to hear Tatiana go on about how Wayne gave her the creeps and that she would never talk to him again - and once more, he didn't examine where all of that jealousy was coming from. Maybe later that night he would dedicate the mental headspace for it, but they had just gotten to a safe zone. Their son was going to get the medical attention that he needed. Soul searching was going to have to wait until he felt a little less on edge - the safety of the surroundings somehow made it paradoxically hard to relax completely, most likely since they didn't know the people who took them in. This wasn't Newnan - this wasn't their people - these were strangers.

Strangers who had AMAZING food, he had to admit. Hopefully no one evil could make food this good, but from what Jack knew about baking and cooking (admittedly, not as much as he should have), morality wasn't one of the ingredients that gave something killer taste. Though if it did, that would have explained a lot about Miss Sally's cooking. He smiled a bit sadly at the memory of the amazing woman they had lost. "1Если они это сделают, я не думаю, что в этом есть что-то хорошее. Хорошие новости были бы подняты сейчас, скорее всего ..." Jack told his wife softly. It wasn't a conclusion he was happy to come to, but he didn't see why they would withhold information that Thana was alive to Ash if they had it.

Jack was solidly on Mae's side with the food - largely because his stomach was in heaven. It was hard to see Doc's point when his mouth was full with the straight out BEST food of his life. His mind was then further distracted as he heard the accent of his home. When was the last time he had met someone else from Boston? "Boston? Ya gottah be kiddin' me," Jack started to laugh, but it was a happy laugh. "I grew up in the theatah district - Boylston. I was a cop," he then finished. As Manny came over and introduced himself, Jack shifted a bit. There were a lot of strangers around their baby son now. He didn't like that.

"Jack - good to meet ya."

As Gunny came into the room and started to speak, Jack fell silent. He hadn't been in the military, but he was a cop. He was used to getting debriefed and he knew that the wisest course of action here was to shut up and listen. The carts of clothing seemed like they were intended for them, which was nice. Most of them had been wearing the same outfit for a while. Cartoon characters never had an issue with it, but in the real world, it sucked.

Gene Benaszewski & Nora Kingston

Location: Elite Deck - Lauren's Rooms -> Sun Deck
Skills: N/A
Gene paused for a moment, looking at her brother as he offered to stay with Lady Munn while they ate. He really was becoming attached to her, but Gene had to wonder if that was really needed. The sort of people Lady Munn had gotten mixed up with seemed to prefer indirect confrontation whenever possible. They didn't strike her as the sort that would gun down an innocent woman in bed. Of course, maybe her brother was just hoping for some quality time with her - the thought caused Gene to smirk slightly.

"Don't do anything I wouldn't do, Georgie," Gene told her brother, stepping out into the hallway once she was all ready. "And don't do anything I would do. There's a fine grey line there in the middle that you can work with," she told him, chuckling a bit to herself. Unfortunately, she recognized the reality of the situation - George would sit in the room with Vera and just watch her sleep. He would fetch her damp towel if she needed it, help her get in and out of bed to vomit, and nothing interesting would actually happen. He was so boring sometimes.

"Good morning," Nora said to Lauren, returning her greeting. She popped her head inside the rooms briefly. "Feel better, Lady Munn," she called out softly. She knew that loud noises weren't the best when one was feeling ill. She had spent far more time in bed sick than she would have liked and every time someone would shout, Nora was tempted to smother herself with a pillow back then just to get some quiet. Giving Vera a slight smile, Nora then followed Lauren, heading along with the others.

Both Nora and Gene showed their tickets, with Nora herself a bit curious as to why they had been invited to breakfast with the Captain. She imagined it was because of the entire ordeal with the near drownings the day before - but she certainly hadn't expected him to invite them all. If anything, she imagined that he would have just indicated that Lady Munn and Mahendra would be welcome - as well as the man who had attempted to rescue them.

Once on the Sun Deck, the two ladies sat down and each of them had a contrasting dining style. While Nora was refined and took small bites, Gene had no sense of shame and was willing to eat large portions of food in huge quantities. She was such a little thing she probably burned it all off in hyper energy in order to stay slim. "Oh," Gene said, talking with a mouth full of toast. Was she trying to be rude on purpose now? "Lady Munn - or Vera or whatever - she's really sick. Lots of vomit," she finished, swallowing her food. "Like loooots of vomit."

Nora started to feel queasy. Did Gene really have to talk like that while they ate?

@eclecticwitch Approved. Move her over to the CS tab. You can have her start anywhere in the Castle now if you would like or I will just write an intro scene for her next update.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Highway to Hell Grimm
Skills: N/A

Cecily felt a wave of relief wash over her. To an outsider, it probably was silly how much better she felt as Roy reassured her that Juno wouldn't have any sort of hand in Marvel. But these were the comics she had grown up with - the colorful costumed heroes on the page taught her more about justice, truth, and responsibility than her parents ever had. It was the thing she and her little brother, Ethan, had bonded over. Without comic books, Cecily didn't know what type of person she would have ended up as. Maybe she would have become part of Juno. "...Alright. I can contact Keystone," Cecily said. She figured he had a better shot than Iris at being helpful with this.

And Caesar hadn't caused Natasha's death, she had to remind herself of that. He was paranoid and grieving after the loss of his daughter. He wasn't the sort of person that you invited to a board game night, but... he had protected her and he easily could have had her killed by this point. If he trusted Keystone... then that would have to be good enough. "Can you grab me some orange juice?" Cecily asked him. She didn't know why, but she was randomly having a craving for the pulp-tastic drink.

Pulling out her phone, she sent off a text to Keystone: Can we talk? However, her eyes then went up as she saw the man that had gone in line before Roy and her stomach felt like it was doubling over on itself. She knew that not everyone was involved with this conspiracy, but she was getting so incredibly paranoid that she clenched her knuckles slightly, holding her breath as if that would make any danger - real or imagined - pass.

@BlueSky44@Kirah@Nallore@FantasyChic@BrutalBx
The Playground - Location Classified: October 24th, 2020 - 2:15 P.M.

@FantasyChic@BrutalBx: During this lovely little chitchat, Tinley will get a text from Barton: How are things going with the new guy? Nothing else too crazy is going on, except for Director Fury's cat, Goose, comes running into the room and jumps into Tinley's lap, purring and rubbing up on her like crazy. The cat is on base temporarily, as Fury's current whereabouts aren't the ideal living situation for Goose. Barton made it very clear to the agents there that if anything happened to Goose, they were all dead.

@Nallore: As Harry went through the files in Barton's office, he lucked out. It seemed that Clint preferred paper, physical copies to electronic ones and just about everything he could want to find were there. One of the files included the contact information for the Fantastic Four, as well as a security threat analysis written by Colonel Rhodes. It seemed SHIELD had deemed them dangerous enough to have under constant surveillance.

However, Harry will notice that one of the drawers - containing files T-V - is slightly open, as if someone had been there recently looking for something.

@FantasyChic@Nallore@Kirah: Casper did a bit of a curtsey to the cameras. "Thank you!" he shouted, before he went off on his merry way at a bit of a skip. If he was HYDRA, then their standards had certainly gone down for their agents.

Dominika Novikova

Location: The Playground - Technology
Skills: N/A
Novikova nodded slightly - while she knew the rest of the Sci-Tech team could have figured it out in a pinch, those trained in Communications were better at this stuff. Tempest, Harry, and Cass would definitely be the people to ask. "I think Cass went to go talk to Tempest - so you might find one or both of them if you're quick," she told Niah. It was the truth, after all.

And it just so happened that Niah left Technology, meaning that she and Maria could grab what they needed and leave. They weren't technically doing anything wrong - they were just taking out equipment without asking, going off to meet with one of the founders of SHIELD, and hopefully were going to undergo a dangerous and complicated mission in order to save their own.

Abercrombie and Reed didn't need to know that, right? And Barton didn't either. What they didn't know wouldn't hurt them. However, Niah's words that someone had been in her room and left that vintage postcard alarmed her. It was more the location of the postcard that caught Novikova's attention - it was from California. That was where she had been sneaking off to and meeting up with Hank Pym. And here they were, in the classified underground bunker that was the Playground, right out of Washington D.C.

"I've got a bad feeling about this," Novikova admitted to Maria. The postcard had something to do with the Quantum Realm, she was certain of it.

Bonnie Chase

Location: The Playground - Bio-Engineering and Research
Skills: N/A
"Because we don't understand very much about them, that's why," Bonnie explained. Her specialty was anatomy and physiology - and since becoming a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, that had more or less branched out into studying how different power manifestations impacted an individual's biology. Terrigen crystals were deadly to the touch for those who weren't inhuman - and for those who were, it unlocked their abilities. From a scientific standpoint, that was fascinating. "Dr. Jiang used a liquified and diluted form of this in the Phase Three experiments - mostly harmless."

She grimaced slightly. Bonnie hadn't been a huge fan of Phase Three. She understood that they wanted to have agents with powers, but it was reckless. People died in those experiments. Good people. And even though there had been successful outcomes, there was still so much about those experiments that were unknown. There could be lasting, long term damage from it that they still weren't aware of. It was something she kept on meaning to speak with Abercrombie about, but with HYDRA there had never been a good time to do it.

As Flynn walked closer towards her, Bonnie's thoughts shifted back to the present and the blush in her cheeks deepened. She knew that ideally, she should play this off smoothly. She could see his muscles underneath the lab coat, the buttons straining to hold it all back. "I uh, I, um," Bonnie stammered. "I am clearly rusty at this... But I would like that, Flynn," she said, smiling a bit at him.

"Um... Would it be weird if we made out?"

Raynor Blake

Location: the Quantum Realm
Skills: N/A
Raynor couldn't help but sigh. This wasn't a situation where they could afford to be picky about their food. He knew that Sparky had a deathly fear of spiders, but it wasn't even technically a spider and it was dead. It couldn't hurt her. However, if she didn't eat the food, then she would eventually starve. Sure, it may take longer here in the Quantum Realm but they still needed to eat. Their bodies needed energy. "...Alright, I'll find you something else to eat," Raynor said, getting to his feet.

The Wasp, however, shot him a look. She was a mother and right now, Sparks needed some tough love in her opinion. "If you aren't interested in surviving, then leave. We don't need dead weight if we are going to make it out of here," she said bluntly. "So you can choose - survive or die," Janet finished. Her eyes were dark and ruthless as she looked at Sparky.

"Janet, stop it!" Raynor snapped. "I said I would find her something else, okay?"

"Let's face it, Raynor, your physiology isn't adapting to this place. You'll be risking your life to reward this behavior. You don't have much time left."
