Cecily Ashworth

Location: Grimm, Indiana (Police Station)
Skills: N/A

Cecily couldn't help but giggle, hearing Roy's cries about being cock blocked and his ex-wife. She wouldn't actually stand in the way of things if he met someone, of course - but it was fun to tease him about the possibility of Draken, given his new status as being Wolverine. Of course, if she was Rogue then that did raise a question - who was her Gambit? She didn't ship Rogue and Iceman together, no matter what the film franchise tried to do. Rogue and Gambit were meant to be together, period. Besides, Iceman had different love interests in the comics and so did Kitty Pryde. At least they had gotten Jean Grey and Cyclops together - though she did have a soft spot for Cyclops and Emma Frost.

Of course, she couldn't focus on the love dynamics of the X-Men for very long, as they went into something that Cecily instinctively compared to the game Five Nights at Freddie's. She jumped slightly, scared out of her skin as she heard the Candy Crush sound go off. It wasn't scary on its own but she was on edge so much lately that she couldn't help but be scared. Going up behind Roy, she peered around him and saw the phone, relaxing slightly. The crack she didn't think much of - lots of people had cracked phones. No one seemed to really be here, something that she felt was odd. Having only really lived in big cities, she was used to police stations being full of officers - but maybe this was just how things were in small towns?

"Roy... Any idea what the hell is going on here?" she whispered to him.

Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Ville au Camp - Carnivale Set Up -> Main House - Room 100: Parlor
Skills: N/A

Andromeda felt a bit of tension as Faith said that her question was worth answering - although she tried her best not to show it, she was a prideful person. Having Faith say that her question was a good one... it brought up a bit of anger in Andromeda, as if her questions weren't normally worthwhile. She knew logically that wasn't what Faith meant, but it was just the way she said it that rubbed the Paradox the wrong way. She couldn't help feeling that way, she knew that much, but she could control her response so Andromeda just nodded slightly. The knowledge of messing with timelines... that also made Andromeda slightly uncomfortable. It reminded her of how badly things had gone back in Coventry due to time travel - resulting in her death as time seemingly snapped due to all of the abnormalities and meddling. She didn't want to die in this life from the same mistake that had cost her so dearly before.

And then... she spoke of the apocalypse. All of this was giving Andromeda a serious case of déjà vu. Apocalyptic endings, weird abilities, messing with time? Yeah, she was doing a fantastic job of not thinking of her old life at the moment. It had been less than half a year before she died that the apocalypse was narrowly diverted, when the devil brought the town of Altsoba to its knees out in Washington. In her own home town of Coventry, demons and time travelers were what ended up causing the death of her father and her own death. And now, now it felt like everything was happening again - like some sort of messed up remix of a song. It was different enough but she couldn't help but see the similarities.

Once inside of the house, Andromeda took a deep breath, her hands shaking slightly. "I um... I'll catch up with you all in a moment, if that's alright, I think I need to take a breath," she told them, going into the parlor instead of the sitting room.

Leda Storm

Location: Outside Cabin Nine

"I am nice!" Leda protested, giggling at Mary. "I could have said that you were an ugly sloth - now that would be rude. At least turtles are cute," she pointed out to her, unknowingly almost echoing Mary's own train of thought, with the exception of the snails. She then had to hold back the urge to make a comment as they were told that the GPS was very accurate - but she couldn't help it. "You know, usually if you have to say something is very accurate, there's something wrong with it - it's like putting a sign in a restaurant that says Good Food!" Her feet were twitching a bit, seemingly moving rapidly enough that the image would blur if someone didn't look at them too closely. She was already getting bored of all of this talking and just wanted to get on with it more or less.

Taking the reins of her own chariot, Leda flipped Zeke off with her other hand. "I guess that makes sense. You are a huge negative, after all," she said, baiting him back a little bit. She fiddled for a moment before pressing the GPS tracking and taking off into the air. This was a race and she couldn't help but be a bit competitive. "Hey Mom - if you can hear me, you should slow these losers down," Leda muttered to herself, debating whether or not it would be considered counter productive to ram her chariot against the others and knock them out of the sky.

Gene Benaszewski & Nora Kingston

Location: Tours/Train Depots
Skills: N/A
Gene couldn't help but laugh at Lord Major's silly joke about aging, knowing that she shouldn't be so openly entertained by it but she just couldn't keep the giggles in. Once the corners of her mouth started to rise, it was too late and the curls of her hair shook a bit as she had a good chuckle. "Are there any other curses of getting old?" Gene asked him, the amusement plain in her voice. Whatever had tickled her funny bone, she wasn't going to share it - or maybe she really just was feeling the Lord Major's sense of humor at the moment. "I've got to tell Georgie that later," she then added, still giggling on and off. Nora just sort of stared at her for a moment, wondering if she was deranged. Yes, the Lord Major's joke was humorous but it hadn't been that humorous... Maybe it was an American thing.

Nora then nodded at Lauren, having been essentially thinking the same thing. "Though..." she paused for a moment, not entirely certain as to how to phrase her thoughts. It was a notion that she wanted to put delicately, since it wasn't an idea she was entirely positive on but she was trained to deal with patterns and to recognize them. Beyond the artifacts at the Museum and their location of Egypt, there was one other common denominator behind all of these events. "... I believe that a strange occurrence will happen no matter where we go, as long as we go there," Nora hypothesized. This group of people was the commonality behind it all. Strange events were not just happening where they went - perhaps they were happening because they went there.

"Yes, I think she will be," Nora then said honestly, though there was a bit of worry in her features. She did not believe in curses but she could not deny that strange things had been happening all over Egypt - supposedly linked to a curse. If the curse was real, then Lady Munn could simply be the next victim to it. Perhaps she had been poisoned rather than falling ill. She doubted it, but there had already been deaths in their group... She was beginning to reconsider the answer that she had given Lauren, but she trusted Lady Munn and she trusted George to care for her. They could not return to the ferry anyways. They would just have to hope things would be well and trust.

Gene was rather pleased that the train was leaving in ten minutes. Ten minutes meant that they could get moving - that they wouldn't have to wait around for ages before getting to the interesting things. She was rather impatient and easily lost interest/focus in things, likely attributed to her demeanor and apparent age. Taking her ticket, Gene clicked her heels together giddily. She had to keep herself from speeding on through, waiting her turn with the others and presenting her ticket as/if needed. She wanted to board the train and get moving already. There were so many things to see and so little time! Usually, time wasn't that much of a problem for her but today it was and every second was both agonizing and precious.

Nora meanwhile gave Lauren a nod and slight smile. "I am well... How are you?"

The Playground - Washington D.C.: October 24th, 2020 - 3:30 P.M.

@BlueSky44 (The Quantum Realm) -

Raynor isn't waking up. He's unconscious, having used the rest of his energy to help create that momentary diversion. Luckily, Sparky's work with the Wasp has paid off, as the quantum spider army ran in the direction of the lightning, before falling into a time vortex and vanishing. Let's just hope they don't turn up anywhere our team is in the future, shall we? That would be so unlucky... Mwahahaha...

"How is he?" Janet asked sympathetically, looking at the young S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Her chest was rising and falling rapidly at first, but then went back into a normal motion as the Wasp saw that they were safe. After that huge an encounter, she didn't anticipate that they would have any more problems for a while. These monsters tended to either travel alone or in large packs - and given that they just fought off an army, she doubted they'd see more for at least a few hours. "Get some rest," Janet told her. "I'll take first watch."

Dominika Novikova

Location: Outside - Downtown Washington D.C.
Skills: Earth Manipulation, Metal Bending
Even though the stealth suit wasn't functioning, it at least prevented Novikova from skinning her knees or anything like that as Maria shoved her to the ground in order to get her cover. Had Novikova been from Operations, she might have argued about it - but this really was Maria's area of expertise. If this had somehow been a matter of nuclear physics, then Novikova would have been the one in charge. Getting up from the ground, Novikova raised her hands up, her muscles straining as she made a wall of Earth, preventing the Purifiers from getting a clear shot at Maria.

"Covered!" she called out to her girlfriend. She wished that the security systems would have come online. Thankfully most of the civilians had the good sense to vacate the area, but others were standing on the sidewalk, pointing their phones at the shaking and changing ground. So much for keeping a low profile. Taking another breath, Novikova focused on the abandoned guns and she felt the metal in them, as if it was an extension of herself. The adrenaline was helping to keep her powers focused.

"Fucking muties..." one of them cursed, spitting on the ground. Tempest then activated the security system, sending out an awful screech. The Purifiers dropped to the ground, dead from the high frequency of the sound, blood having come out of their eyes and ears. Novikova and Maria dropped to the ground as well, falling unconscious. Her last thought?

Shit...

Bonnie Chase

Location: The Playground - Bio-Engineering and Research
Skills: N/A
"I have a feeling I might be needed in here," Bonnie admitted to Flynn. She grabbed a radio nearby and went on the general frequency. "Agent Chase here, on standby in bioengineering for any injured. Agent Flynn is on route," she then added, her Canadian accent coming out in full force on the last word. She set down the radio within arms reach, just in case there was a reply message. They had a few beds on the far side of bioengineering and research, prepped and ready to go for any medical procedure. There was even a quarantine vault of sorts, designed to prevent any serious pathogens from being released into the environment of the Playground.

However, she had to shake her head slightly at Flynn. It was a pretty impressive feat to be able to ignore that alarm. Hopefully no one else heard him say that, since otherwise one of the higher-ups at the Triskelion might say that they alarms would just have to be even louder then. But at the same time, it really sweet and she couldn't help but smile a bit at him. Not very man guys, in her experience, would have bothered to make sure that she was feeling alright. They also would have likely been turned off by the fact that she was a widow - as if that somehow made her "tainted goods" or something else ridiculous.

Bonnie went over and made sure that the beds in medical were ready. They had plenty of blood on hand for transfusions, as well as a drug that allowed for temporarily accelerated healing - S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists had developed it a few months back and it was already proving very useful in the fight against HYDRA. Of course, she knew that if there were any injuries, they'd like just ask Tempest to heal them up, making Bonnie with all of her training... unneeded.

She would have sighed, had Tempest's next message now came over the comms. Dead people? Those also fell under her area of expertise. "Bring them into biotechnology?" Bonnie requested over the comms.
I tend to do a mixture of persistent characters and creating new ones. When I first started RPing here on RPG, I made a few characters that were essentially "updates" to some of the very first RP characters I had created. But I also made a huge host of new ones. Now that I essentially GM a persistent RP-verse with @BlueSky44 I will have characters pop up in multiple RPs, since it is a continuation of their storylines. It's like how in the Arrow and the Flash TV shows, the characters can make appearances in shows that aren't their own - same thing with the MCU really. Doesn't mean I don't create new characters though - I do. It honestly is just whatever the mood strikes me for. If I have a character I made who I want to use again, then I'll use them. If I have a new concept I like, then I'll go with that.

Neil Spellman

Location: First Sub Basement - Operating Theater
Skills: N/A

Now that he could hear again, Neil was learning all sorts of things about some of the people in the room - which wasn't that impressive, given that he didn't know Bobbi and the ex-X-Men team. His eyes widened a bit as she commented about people in the room loving to get high, his eyes then flickering over to the Stark kid in the corner. He had seen the tabloids. That statement probably rang true for her. Beth had woken up and she was checking in on Sara, with Neil looking at the beautiful girl and hoping she was fine too.

Sara's rage comforted him, ironically. She was a spitfire and hearing that she still was like that... that Mesmero hadn't extinguished her flame... It caused Neil to smile a little bit, looking at her. Yes, he was feeling incredibly guilty and miserable, but his crush was holding his hand and knew who he was. For a teenage boy, it was an emotional tornado in his head at the moment but at least his life wasn't a complete disaster at the moment. It was only 99% of one. "H-hey... It's not your fault," he told Sara softly. His stomach felt like it was going to curl into itself as Ayita and Mary started to fight as well as Banner and his son.

At least Beast had the sense to kick out everyone who wasn't too terribly injured. Neil figured he would have to stay in medical. Even though Jean had managed to restore his hearing with the hearing aids, every bit of his body ached and felt like it was on fire. All of the damage from Storm's attacks and all had really taken a toll on him. He didn't even know if he would be able to go help fight Mesmero in the morning, but he wanted to. It would be a way to atone for what he himself had done to Mira.

Guin Stark

Location: First Sub Basement - Operating Theater
Skills: Mental Link

"Hey, Lando?" Guin called out, trying to get his attention. She could hear Mary's fight with Ayita and she would have tried to intervene there as well, but it seemed that it was already being handled. Marygold left medical as well and Guin knew that the odds of Pietro letting her leave were slim. She still hadn't had her head injury checked out - though she was certain that it was nothing and Pietro was overreacting. "Ground state, okay? You can't be in the excited state for too long - you know those transitions hardly last," she told him, using an analogy from chemistry to essentially tell him to calm down.

Pietro was currently glaring somewhat at Bobbi, partially wanting to smack the daylights out of her for mentioning stuff like that. He didn't really react to the arguments around him, he just glared at her. Piet you okay? Why are you glaring at the newbie? Guin had heard Bobbi's offer of drugs and she was trying not to think about it. She had left those days back in the past. She then nodded a bit at Carolina as she came to the same conclusion she had, as did others soon enough. Mesmero had gotten Cerebro. He was already able to control half of the team without it - with it, he could control everyone in the world simultaneously. He could be everyone.

It was a horrifying image.

I don't like her Guina. Guin raised an eyebrow, looking at him. Is this because of me? Maybe... She hesitated slightly. Piet I'm not that person anymore... I know that Guina. Good... Pietro just nodded his head in response to that.

Dean Kesseli

Location: First Sub Basement - Operating Theater
Skills: N/A

Dean wasn't sure what to say, as Annie conjured up an image of his baby sister, Carrie. He laughed slightly, looking at the stupid little smile on her face. She really was adorable - not a lot of guys were comfortable using that word to describe one's little sibling, but Carrie never annoyed him or anything. He just wanted to make sure that she was safe. He had lost one sister already, maybe forever because of what Richard had done, and he wasn't going to lose another one. And he wasn't going to let Carrie lose her big brother either. He had helped the X-Men during the O.M.E.N. crisis - he had done his part for mutant kind. Now the best that Dean could do would be to start over. Not everyone could be a superhero and that was okay. He wanted to avoid the speedster curse that was going on during missions as well, too.

"Thanks, Annie," he said softly, feeling a little calmer than he had before. He gave her a slight smile, but it didn't shake his resolution in his choice to leave. He would come back to help them finish out the musical, but he was done being a member of the X-Men. And once the musical finished up, he wasn't going to come back to this place. Maybe if he had kids one day and the world still wasn't ready for mutants, he would. But for now - Dean wanted to go and be with his family. He wanted to explore who he was without Xavier's Institute - to live and participate in this world in a way that didn't require yellow spandex. He then nodded a bit at Bobbi. "Y-yeah... Annie makes illusions," he explained.

There was more yelling and fighting, causing Dean to grimace slightly. Carolina needed it to be quiet. Thankfully, Beast decided it was time to kick them all out. Given that he was a speedster, he healed faster than other people and given that they were going after Mesmero in the morning... he wanted to talk to Xavier beforehand, to explain to him that he was thankful but that this would be his last day at the mansion. Getting out of bed shakily, Dean went over and kissed Carolina's forehead. "I'll text you," he promised her, before he went to leave medical.

Standing in the doorway, he looked back at everyone. He would miss these people. A tear fell down his face. "...Bye guys... I love you all," he said, before he left the first sub-basement and went to find Xavier, in order to say farewell.
