New York Sanctum - New York: July 15th, 2021 - 7:10 P.M.

Raynor gave Maria a slight nod at her suggestion, while Spider-Gwen did a flip out of excitement. "Yes!" she squealed, pleased with the idea. "Then he can be Dr. Egg. Did you guys have a Dr. Egg on this Earth - the villain in the Sonic the Mole series?" she asked. Raynor sort of shrugged, having not exactly kept up on video games and whatnot over the years. He had been more worried about finding Lana, and it broke his spirit to know that despite all of his work, he had failed her. She was one of the many casualties of Ultron. At this point, the number of people killed by the robot was so high it couldn't be counted. So many lives had been destroyed and all for what? So that way he and Spider-Gwen could live?

He wasn't a hero. He wasn't worth that sacrifice. "Kid, I have no idea what you're talking about," he admitted. As he glanced over at the meditating Sorcerer Supreme however, Dr. Strange's eyes opened and he shook his head slightly at the group. "It's Sonic the Hedgehog here," he corrected Spider-Gwen, his cape aiding him in his gentle descent as he walked over to the trio.

"And as the last remaining member of the 'awesome facial hair bros,' I have a legacy to carry on - for Stark's sake - and I am afraid shaving my head would not honor that," he told them with a slight smirk. Raynor couldn't help but notice how Dr. Strange tensed up whenever he was around. He figured that Strange must have found out about his past - it would explain the tension - but at least he had been kind enough not to tell people. He didn't know how the team would look at him if they knew the monster they had destroyed the world for.

Over in the medical area, Bonnie was wondering just what they were going to do. She didn't know too much about the time travel event the X-Men team had undergone, beyond what Cass had put in the mission reports about it, but she remembered that they had been assisted by a mutate named Thalia Maehers in order to accomplish it. She didn't know if it was possible through science or magic - and none of the people with powers there had the ability to go through time. "The X-Men had assistance though and odds are, Thalia Maehers is dead..." Bonnie said bluntly.

"So unless you can think of another possible way for us to travel through time without the person who made that sort of thing possible to begin with back then, I don't know how we'd be able to accomplish it. Not to mention in order to do that, you'd need to pick out a specific time and place to travel to, so how would you be able to ensure that we'd pick the right time? Or the right place?" the Invisible Woman posed, her voice steady and even. This was outside of her area of scientific expertise. Banner's was with gamma radiation, Bonnie's was with biochemistry, Niah's with forensics, and Roman's with machines. The Black Panther had true scientific genius, but she wasn't an expert in quantum mechanics and how to invent a time machine.

"Agent Carter and I can begin designs for a time machine," the Black Panther said anyways, eyeing the slightly antisocial agent. "If Dr. Banner could assist, I am sure we can come up with one. We have the smartest minds in the world under this roof."

"...It's not exactly my area," Banner admitted. He would do anything to bring back his son though and he nodded. He couldn't help but wish that Tony was here - Tony could probably figure out time travel while drunk and getting into a screaming fight with his daughter. "But we can try." It was the most anyone could ask, right? Just to try? They owed it to everyone who died to do at least that.

"And while the nerds figure out time travel, the rest of us can take out that weapon," Captain Marvel suggested. "Abercrombie, it's your call what we do. You're in charge." She didn't say that as much to inform Tinley as it was to remind herself. She was used to calling the shots and ignoring orders if she disagreed with them. She followed her conscience far more often than she did the chain of command.

A moment later, there was a knock at the front entrance to the Sanctum. Only magic users were able to see it and the door opened, allowing a small woman to slip inside and she shut it behind her. Instantly, Bonnie had drawn a gun and aimed it at her. Captain Marvel powered up. Dr. Strange produced two discs of magic around his hands, ready to fight.

"Relax, I am not here to kill you... Is this all that's left?" Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, daughter of Magneto, and mutant terrorist asked.

Present Day - The Castle: November 5th, 12,508 - 7:50 PM

The Palace Courtyard...

Antonije nodded, giving Amarantha a slight smile. He always got a sense of pride out of demonstrating his work. So many people in the Castle believed that Magyk was the ultimate answer to every question, the solution to every problem - but he preferred machines. To him, Magyk was hardly a science. It wasn't exact. Even as wizards claimed that their work had patterns and rules, it was little more than organized chaos. He stared at Mona for a moment, having sensed the slight rock of a mental wall she had put up. He always did love a challenge. It was a shame that she was heading off. There was something about her that was unusual.

"If you get a member of the Palace Guard to volunteer, then we can begin the demonstration," Antonije mused. He knew that he could use his powers to compel someone to cooperate for this, but he figured that Amarantha would prefer to do things her way and that was fine by him - as long as he was getting paid.

Meanwhile as Mona made her way to go get something to drink and Sylvi wandered off, there were numerous options available to them. There was hot cider, as well as tea - and then something a bit stronger for those that were old enough to consume spirits. For food, there was mostly what could be called dessert bread - loaves of freshly made bread with bits of fruit and nuts mixed into the dough. The entire design of it was quite exquisite, meant to resemble a model of the Castle itself, and the bread pulled apart at the touch, making it ideal for serving.

Myrus was continuing to converse with Mavis Moll, the conversation less awkward than it could have been. The two of them had dated for a while and Myrus had pined after her, but it just hadn't been meant to be. By this point, he had realized that Mavis had been right all along - they were better off as friends. "I've missed this," he told her with a smile.

"I have too, My," Mavis told him with a smile.

"Maybe we could go boating together, like old times?" he suggested. However, Mavis didn't respond, instead starting to cough. "Mavis...?" Myrus asked, getting worried as Mavis fell to her knees. Her skin was pale and blood trickled out of her mouth as Mavis fell to the side, revealing the assassin. She was dead and Myrus' eyes started to water, as the air around his hands seemed to flicker, turning a dark shade of red.

"MURDERER!" Myrus screamed, before tackling the assassin to the ground. The assassin used the momentum and rolled, ending up on top of Myrus and he bared his teeth at the young prince, revealing a set of fangs. There was a dagger in his hand, stained with Mavis' blood and he stabbed Myrus, the young prince letting out a scream and managing to grab onto the assassin's tunic, charging it and priming it to explode.

The Palace Proper...

Poor Ahote, it seems that although he was able to recognize the vampires, he doesn't know too much about them - namely, he doesn't know how to kill them. All he can come up with is that they have enhanced speed, stamina, strength, agility, and senses. Of the rooms at the Palace however, arguably the Queen's Room is the most secure, as in order to enter, you need to be holding hands with a blood relative of the Queen. It makes it an ideal secure position, whereas Luna's room can easily be entered just by kicking down the door. None of the vampires had followed them yet though.
The Witch Country: November 5th, 12,508 - 9:50 PM

Agatha knew enough about the инфинити стонес to recognize the immense power that Fleur had. She hadn't heard of a mortal possessing one of the инфинити стонес in centuries, so just that very fact ended up breaking her concentration slightly. Combined with the forced severing of her own hand from the Concilium, the de-aging by twenty years, and the boiling blood... Her focus was shattered. Her spirit was not yet broken.

"If I am a worm, then you are the corpse I shall feed from," Agatha spat. She tried to Reverse the Magyk that was causing her blood to boil, but she couldn't shake the enchantment. Experience told her then that her best bet would be to cause the witch responsible to falter, to cause the Magyk to cease as Fleur's concentration was broken. She tried to send solid discs of Magyk at Fleur to sever her vocal chords, but it was to no avail. Her body was so battered and beaten that it was difficult for her to produce much Magyk.
Asgard: November 5th, 12,508 - 8:50 PM

The Palace Lounge...

Halley gave Cuyler a nod as he left to go fetch weapons and supplies. She was able to manipulate Chaos Magyk at will, meaning that she could essentially materialize into reality anything she needed - but that wasn't the case this time. She had already packed a bag of supplies for herself and it was slung over her shoulder. She was dressed in Asgardian armor and had a scarlet cloak on as well, with her hair braided to one side. Taking the knife back from Arnora, she grimaced slightly. "Typical. In my father's time, there was speculation that beings from other worlds had an obsession with a land called London... It is not too far from where the Castle of the Small Wet Country resides. I suspect this may be some joke on Loki's part," she mused.

"Though with his theft of the Tesseract..." Halley bit her lip. In her father's time, a being of enormous power had gathered the инфинити стонес and used them to nearly wipe out life in the universe. Although she knew that Loki most likely desired simply a throne, she didn't want to see a universe living underneath Loki's thumb. "We'll need to be discrete and effective whilst on Midgard. Our primary concern would be Fleur, the Witch Messiah... Heimdall informed me that she has the тиме стоне in her possession. Loki will go for her eventually I expect in order to collect it."

Myth and Bruce's Home...

Medea then zipped into the room and more or less appeared next to her sister. "Ја сам овде," she informed her twin. Marya was still frustrated with Myth and Bruce. They were making promises that she doubted they would keep. She wasn't biologically related to either of them - Medea was her only biological family here and the rest of her family, Antonije, was down on Midgard. What if he was in trouble and needed their help? What if they weren't fast enough to get to him? As Runa showed up, Marya looked at her sister, more or less asking Medea nonverbally if she wanted to just run out of there with her and blow off some steam.

Runa entered the household, the look of apprehension and worry on her face diminished slightly by seeing her grandson safe and sound. Halden helped to put things into perspective. "The Tesseract was stolen from Odin's treasure room," she told them, deciding to be blunt about it. "The All-Mother and I were unable to determine the thief, but... Well..." she then paused, her face paling even more as she Felt something.

"The time stone was just used... This... This is not good, Brucey. The last time multiple stones were being dealt with... We nearly did not survive it." She took a slight breath, seeming more and more panicked by the second.

Frost International HQ - Downtown Washington D.C.:

The guard stared at Jinx for a moment, before cracking a smile as he whispered back to him, "I speak only two languages: English and Bad English." Apparently Jinx wasn't the only fan of the Fifth Element. However, even though the two of them were a bit eccentric, they had badges to get through. The guards quickly scanned them, with little images of Requiem and Jinx popping up on their computer screen and they visually confirmed those were the same people. There was now a digital trace that they had been there - for better or for worse.

"Enjoy your visit, Leeloo," the guard said to Jinx with a wink before they would be allowed through security. There was a directory printed and pasted onto the wall, listing where the various divisions of Frost International could be found in the building. The basement levels were not listed or marked - which made sense, as those areas were used by the Hellfire Club. In order to call for the elevator, they would have to first scan their badges and then press the up or down buttons. There is a staircase nearby, but it requires a similar set up - scan the badge and then the door unlocks. Security cameras are everywhere, meaning it would be difficult for an intruder to get very far without one of the guards noticing.

The Morlock Tunnels - Washington D.C. Sewers:

Erg nodded at Leighton's words, seemingly not saying anything to contradict her. Maybe he had come to the same conclusions she had or maybe he was just more focused on the immediate task in front of them. However, as she managed to freeze the can without it exploding, Erg did give her a genuine smile. "Well done, Leighton," he praised her. "You're a quick study. Now, I am curious to see if you can freeze a moving target. It is perfectly alright if you struggle and aren't ready for this, but I am curious..."

He then looked around, finding another can - (seriously, with this much litter, is it really surprising that we're killing the planet?) Erg gave her a nod, before he tossed the can up in the air and caught it, before tossing it up again. "Try to freeze the can - and ideally, not me," Erg said, continuing to toss the can up and down. He had a gut feeling that Leighton would be able to do it. Most people took ages to master their powers but there was something special about her.

"The Mutant Underground is a way station," Erg said randomly. "They will take you in, but usually just long enough until you can get back on your feet and be sent elsewhere. The Morlocks offer permanence - but just as you do not trust easily, neither do we. We have been burned before and we will be burned again."

Veil

Location: The Mutant Underground - Washington D.C. Station
Skills: Perception, Leadership
Veil wasn't surprised that Sapphire didn't trust Glimpse - Sapphire didn't trust anyone. Havok's protests had some merit to them - Glimpse had walked in here with an aura of entitlement and insulted him repeatedly. While Veil and the others did enjoy teasing Havok, they were his friends. Glimpse was a stranger. She hadn't earned the right to get to ridicule Havok. Spark Plug seemed content to just allow Glimpse into the status quo, but Veil wanted to err on the side of caution. If Glimpse's current behavior was any indication, she would be a problem.

"Miss Braddock," Colossus prefaced, "There is old saying in Russia - До́брое бра́тство лу́чшее бога́тство. It means good brotherhood is best wealth," he told her. Whatever meaning she took from that would ultimately be up to her.

Havok wasn't too happy with Spark Plug and Glimpse either. "Oh, I'm sorry that I'm trying to save your ass from something horrible happening. I didn't get a pass on being thoroughly vetted just because of my older brother. Hell, with all of the drama associated with Xavier and his minions, honestly I should have probably been more thoroughly vetted." He hated Glimpse and wanted to shove her in the direction of the nearest manager. It would probably keep her busy for a few decades with them. Maybe he'd find a VHS tape of Extreme Couponing or a worn copy of Fifty Shades of Grey to distract her with.

Veil took a breath. Everyone was talking over each other and while some good points were being made, she was the one in charge here. Spark Plug had a good suggestion, taking Glimpse out to go and vet her as well as her information. Sapphire and her had just gotten out of jail - and while Veil didn't mind going back out into the field right now, she wasn't sure if Sapphire was up for it. Besides, Veil's power set was what made these sort of missions possible.

"Thank you all for your input. This is my decision," Veil said, looking at each of them in turn. "Glimpse - trust can be earned. I'll be taking a small group to go along with you and start vetting the information you have given us. Sapphire, if you're up for it I would like you to come along - Spark Plug, if you feel ready, then that is fine by me as well. Havok, I want you to contact Xavier and verify his connection to all of this."

"But there is another matter - the Mutant Underground was founded to help mutants escape dangerous situations and get to safety. Shutting down the Hound program, while noble, is not part of that mission. I'd like everyone here that is a member to vote before we do anything else - do we want to expand the focus of our cell to include stopping Shaw?"

Meanwhile, Negasonic was chuckling at Moonwalker's explanation. "Why not Dreamwalker?" she asked him. Around then, they would hear a car pull into the garage and Negasonic motioned for him to follow her. She headed out over there, before spotting Sunspot and Cannonball getting out of the vehicle. Sunspot tilted his head slightly, looking at Moonwalker.

"Who the hell is this?" Sunspot asked.

"Dude, would it kill you to be polite?" Cannonball asked his buddy, before he extended a hand to Moonwalker. "Hi, I'm Cannonball - nice ta meet ya."

Sunshine and Spirit Box

Location: the Warehouse (F2 and F2) -> through the portal and back to the Morlock Tunnels!
Skills: Mediumship

"Don't worry, they don't pay us enough to get hurt," one of the guards (guard 3) chimed in agreement. However, in the blink of an eye Stretch had knocked out his buddies. Tome then set the ceiling on fire and the sprinklers activated, but since the flames were above them they weren't able to really put out the flames. The guard let out a slight sigh. "This is why we can't have nice things..." he muttered. "Come on, give me a hand," he requested, before he grabbed one of his friends (guard 1) and dragged him out the main entrance, expecting James to help get the other one to safety.

Shockingly, the building was structurally secure for the moment! The fire was working on the ceiling as best as it could, but it hadn't gotten to the point yet where the ceiling would give out and the building would be liable to collapse. Stretch would end up getting some falling pieces of debris hitting him as he turned himself into an umbrella/shield of sorts for Tome, but they were relatively small pieces and wouldn't hurt too much. Tome was completely fine! James and the guards lucked out as well, not getting hit at all. Sunshine and Blink similarly avoided the debris.

The same could not be said for Casper. A chunk of debris fell down from the ceiling and - as if it was fated to be - hit him square on the head. "Fuck fuck fuck fuck fucking fuckity fuck!" Casper swore, clutching his head. When he pulled his hand away for a moment, there was some blood but not a lot. Ben was laughing at Casper, not able to hold back the giggles at his friend's situation. "Language!" Ben said mockingly.

"Go suck a cock, Ben!" Casper snapped.

"I can't, I'm dead and your brother is alive."

Blink rolled her eyes at Casper. "I really don't want to know what the other side of that conversation sounds like. Now get through the portal!" she told him, creating a portal for him and Sunshine to run through. On the other side of the portal, they'd be able to see Erg working with Leighton on her powers and Sunshine jumped through, followed by Casper. Blink stayed behind, keeping the portal open for the others.

Once through the portal and back at the Morlock Tunnels, Sunshine was snickering a lot as she spotted Erg and Leighton. "Oh, you two will never believe what Tome did!" she said gleefully, with the wicked gleam in her eyes of the little sister who is about to bust their brother for breaking the rules. "Also, meet Fred!" she said triumphantly, holding up the dead rat.

Virginia Crypt

Location: Gretna Green
Skills: N/A

"A dark light, perhaps," Virginia replied to Ny's compliment of her mind. Her plan was well executed but it resulted in the deaths of the horses - a shame, it was a waste of life. Virginia took a moment, surveying the scene and she wondered briefly what the afterlife looked like for animals. "The Carpathians?" Virginia inquired. She had spoken of that area with the Russian Circus not too long ago, in connection as to where to find information on her family. The more she spoke with Ny, the more information she learned. "Dear Ny, it seems you must be a Crypt if not by blood then by proximity," she told him with a slight smile.

She ventured towards the pile of carnage, taking a moment to make sure that none of the horses and such in the mixture were still alive. With the horses stopped, she had to wonder as to the identity of the poor corpse that had been dragged along with them, as well as what had spooked them so much. Gretna Green seemed like such a calm and quaint town - not the sort of place for horses to come in wildly running, dragging a corpse behind them. "Unless you have another idea for a course of action, I'd like to see what can be learned about the chain of events resulting in this corpse pile," Virginia told Ny. She was open for doing something different if he had a better idea - two minds were better than one and all.

Maeve Brennan

Location: House Kirkpatrick - the Parlor
Skills: Deception

Maeve observed the Lady Kirkpatrick's behavior and demeanor, before giving a subtle nod to her employer as she figured her intentions. Given that she was acting as just a servant, Maeve was not making any comments - at least, not verbally. Mentally, she was making notes of the woman before them - a member of the peerage from outside of Britain - from France. Maeve disliked the Brits as much as any Irish girl did, and she knew that the Brits and the French hardly felt warm and happy thoughts about each other. Her eyes darted over towards Lady Kirkpatrick as she suggested adding an additional letter to those that already were going to be sent out with the post.

However, that did not seem to be enough for the Frenchwoman. Her message had to be delivered verbally. That caught Maeve's attention. Perhaps it had something to do with the affairs Lady Kirkpatrick had started to involve herself in? She imagined that Lady Kirkpatrick would want to know whatever exactly it was that the peeress had to say, though she imagined that the Frenchwoman would not tell them. She had already explained that the information was private and that she had promised to discuss it just in there company - maybe the Lady Kirkpatrick would then ask her to accompany the Frenchwoman on this trip? As predicted, the Lady Kirkpatrick didn't wish to provide help without further answers.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Grimm, Indiana (Police Station)
Skills: N/A

"Got it. Be safe, Ri," Cecily said, before she ended the phone call. She took a slight breath before looking at Roy. Tinder's house would have to wait - Riley needed them to get to the asylum quickly. The last time Cecily had been at an asylum, there had been a homicide and Caesar had been with her. She felt a little bit better having Roy by her side. Despite his ties to Juno, she felt without a doubt that she could trust him. Caesar... She just didn't know. Natasha had made some compelling points before she died. Cecily quickly put on the bullet proof vest that Roy had tossed her, wondering slightly if she should just make it a permanent part of her wardrobe at this rate. Did they have bullet proof face masks for sleeping in?

"Riley needs us to get to the asylum ASAP. Said it's on the other side of town, but apparently if we just follow up the main road it won't be hard to find," Cecily explained. She then took some of the offered water, before putting it back in the cupholder. "I don't know what's going on there but... Well, it's Riley. So we need to go there. Heading to Tinder's house to check things out there can wait," she told him. Cecily bit her lip nervously, wishing that superpowers were real so that way she could just teleport to where Riley was. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long for them to get there.

Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Ville au Camp - Main House - Room 101: Sitting Room -> Ville au Camp Grounds
Skills: N/A

Andromeda nodded slightly, her stomach twisting slightly at the thought of the carnies. Her mind was in a battle against itself, trying not to focus too much on the circumstances of her death but it was proving difficult. Arguably, dying was one of the more traumatic experiences in a person's life and everything that was happening in her afterlife seemed to be almost a more diabolical and twisted copy of her life. "Thanks," she told Sophia. She had put aside the earlier annoyance she had with the ginger. The world was ending and it wasn't the time to form a grudge over something so minor. At Giouse's explanation that the loop was essentially a crashing plane, Andromeda tried not to feel too panicked.

She left the sitting room with Giouse and Sophia, heading out onto the grounds and she blinked slightly seeing Peter. Her earlier thoughts about necromancy being behind the quake might have been right then. But hadn't the Emendators said that when a Paradox died... that was that? How was Peter back here? Of course, after this evening, it was becoming increasingly obvious that the Emendators didn't know everything. She glanced at Giouse as Sophia started asking about what they had to do and she fought the urge to run in a panic off of the grounds. She didn't want to get killed because of time going crazy a second time. "Once we're safe.... How is Peter alive?" she asked.
You know I'm down

Gene Benaszewski & Nora Kingston

Location: Athribis
Skills: Decipher hieroglyphics, Cryptography, Mathematics
"I shall see, though I have an inclination that they will shed some light on these matters..." Nora informed Mahendra. She quickly sketched and jotted down some notes as she inspected the hieroglyphics, comparing to previous work she had done in order to try to find some sort of hidden meaning. It was fortunate that she was a mathematician, especially given that they had lost Peter, since she was able to find several numbers of significance. "The number forty-five is key - which I believe corresponds to the number of tiles..." she said softly, allowing the others to more or less follow her work as she went. "The numbers seventy and twenty-eight are also significant..." Her eye was drawn to the circular carving which had numbers one through forty-five present, though it was a jumbled mess.

While the mathematician was at work, Gene wasn't about to just stand around and watch. Her gut was telling her that there had to be some sort of hidden lever or something here - and she certainly wasn't going to find it if she did nothing! As she searched, she noticed that when she touched one of the stones, it moved slightly. "Wicked," Gene said, adding a bit more pressure and the stone started to slide. She glanced upwards at the almost mechanical clicking sound, before she lowered her head slightly and caught Belladonna's eye. There was a slight pang of guilt that filled her as the hole opened in the ground and Belladonna fell, but Gene was confident that Belladonna could survive that. Belladonna was a woman of mystery and had many hidden talents.

"...No one touch any of the stones..." Nora said quietly, her eyes wide as she stared at where Belladonna had been. She had just been thinking that maybe the stones could be manipulated and rearranged, and practically a second later, there had been clicking noises and Belladonna fell. She didn't dare to take more than slight breaths, the fear of more of the floor giving out and sending them to their deaths momentarily paralyzing her. While she was certain that this was all connected, they had already lost people and she did not want to add to that. She hoped desperately that Belladonna was alright, but she feared that the drop would have been significant - there was no telling how deep or shallow it was without placing some light down there, but... Her instincts told her they would have heard Belladonna if it had been only a slight drop.

Gene wasn't sure whether to laugh or gasp as the Lord Major then jumped into the hole. There was no calling out for Belladonna to see if she was okay, no shedding a bit of light with the torch into the hole, no dropping a rock to estimate the depth, nothing! "Well, you know what they say... Bravery is another word for stupidity," Gene mused. Maybe it wasn't the appropriate time for humor but that was the sort of person she was. And if this did kill the Lord Major, well, it was his reckless choice. Gene had to pause for a moment, amused that she was criticizing someone for being reckless. Was this how some of her people back home felt about her?

Gene then held out a hand for the Lord Major, in an attempt to help to pull him back up. She was skinny and small, but she wasn't about to leave him hanging and she figured some of the others would chip in as well.
