Guin Stark

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A
It was more than a little weird for Guin to see the Fantastic Four. The last time she had seen them all had been in the alternate world her future sister-in-law, Wanda, had constructed... and Guin had asked her fiancé to basically help her with assisted suicide, after admitting that she had a thing for the Human Torch growing up. It hadn't been her finest moment by any standards. And then of course, the Avengers were here - an amazing, incredible group of heroes who had seen her in the grips of drug addiction and all of the messy emotional drama that rich teenagers got up to. Guin didn't usually get embarrassed, but as her dad waved at her she couldn't help but grimace slightly. This was bound to get rough.

"Why is it always something terrible in the sky with the Avengers?" Guin muttered under her breath, as Mister Fantastic explained the situation at hand. Her blood felt cold. Something called the World Eater hardly was on her top ten list of threats she wanted to face - but then again, had Magneto, President Jakobsen, Mesmero, and the Scarlet Witch been on the list? They never really got to pick who was going to cause problems. What she wouldn't give for a vacation at this rate... She frowned slightly when Richards mentioned that the Nullifier would kill whoever used it. Someone wasn't going to make it out of this alive. "Couldn't we, y'know, program a robot to use the nullifier? Or does it have to be a living person?" she asked.

She snorted slightly when Richards then proposed that of all the teams, the X-Men were going to be sent off to steal this device. If they were living in one of the CW TV shows, this definitely would have been the annual crossover episode. It felt like a Tuesday. One of the new girls made a point that most of them couldn't legally drink and Guin rolled her eyes slightly. "We're old enough to go die for our country in the military, this isn't that much different." Not that she wanted to die, of course - but she hated being called a kid. She was twenty one years old, after all, and engaged!

"Do you have a means of tracking the device? And navigating the ship? Since I doubt Piet will want to run everyone around if the ship is as massive as I'm expecting it to be..."

Neil Spellman

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A
Neil had been lucky enough to not be afflicted by M-Pox, but that didn't mean he escaped its consequences. Anti-mutant hate groups had taken advantage of the tensions and escalated their tactics, especially in the nation's capital in Washington D.C. Sure, the X-Men were seen as superheroes by the majority of the public, but ordinary mutants weren't. They still lived in fear. As much as he hated to admit it, mutants were basically victims... unable to fight back. So the X-Men had to do it for them.

He took Sara's hand gently as Mister Fantastic started explaining the situation, listening attentively to the conversation. Neil wasn't the most talkative person, preferring to think to himself as to what could be done. They didn't really have a choice as to whether or not they could do this. They couldn't just let Galactus consume the planet - everyone would perish, maybe some of the rich with fancy escape plans could survive, but even that he doubted. The Fantastic Four and the Avengers couldn't do it, and while they were young, the X-Men did have some experience with this sort of thing. Most of the team (not him) had even saved reality after the Scarlet Witch altered it. Of course, Neil couldn't help but also notice that if mutants saved the world from Galactus, just maybe it would change people's minds and hearts.... Maybe mutant hate would begin to subside.

The others were asking good questions, all of them essentially being the questions that Neil himself had.

Washington D.C.: September 10th, 2020 - 11:00 AM

The Amtrak Station...

Anastasia had no trouble getting Valentine's restraints off. Valentine looked at Jinx for a moment, incredibly quiet as she just observed him. She then nodded slightly and extended her hand, not from him to shake but for him to kiss. "Charmed," Valentine said simply, her voice having a bit of a melodious, musical quality to it.

"Be careful with that one, she's unhinged," Ksenia whispered in Jinx's ear as a means of warning him about Val. Just what were Valentine's powers again? Could they really be so bad in comparison to Legion's? At any rate, Jinx and the White Queen would want to get the siblings off the train and into the getaway car this round - or they might have a lot more to worry about than what the siblings were capable of without those restraints...

JFK Memorial Hospital - Lobby...

Casper's eyes widened as Feedback appeared seemingly out of nowhere and injected Vulcan with something, causing the villain to clutch at his chest like he was having a heart attack. Making a mental note to never get on her bad side, he then started puzzling out what exactly Sapphire was saying. He had no idea what a myocardial infarction was, but he had watched enough medical soap operas to know that a term like that definitely meant something bad. Inside the shop, Cayden would find a few bottles of aspirin for sale at the front counter.

"Uh hey, Miss Icicle?" Casper said gently, not wanting to disturb Sapphire too much but this was important. "I think the cops are about here," he then added. Colossus nodded slightly, wincing a bit with each step that he took but he was strong - he was Russian, after all.

"Da, sirens are near," he explained with a frown. "Hospital will not treat mutants..." They couldn't just leave Vulcan to die - they were better than that. However, he had another worry. His little sister was outside in the van. He had to get to her and give her the medicine that she needed to get better. They had a choice then - they could either save Vulcan or they could leave now in order to save Illyanna.

"Wait, can you maybe send them a radio message thingy saying that the suspects fled the scene and are heading downtown or something?" Casper then asked Feedback, thinking quickly. "It might buy us some time..." He really didn't want to get involved with the cops. Cops in DC were all too happy to shoot first and ask questions later when it came to mutants. And sure, he could have pulled out his phone and called his father, asking him to use Cerebro to control the cops from afar so they could escape... but Casper hated Xavier with a passion. He didn't want to ask him for anything.

The Cherry Bomb - Sinister's Lair...

Veil sighed slightly as Max informed her that Leighton was trapped. She didn't doubt that the same was the case for the other two had run off, Jack and Callie. She knew that Max had just insulted Havok, but she trusted that Havok could be the bigger person and assist him nonetheless. "Alright, no more splitting up. We're in unknown territory. Havok, go with Max and see if you can blast that door down."

She was about to then ask that Sunshine stay with her, only to notice that the blonde haired mutant was gone, having run off down one of the hallways. Veil clenched her fist slightly. She was going to need something strong to drink after all of this. "Thanks, Glimpse. Come on, let's go get the kid," Veil said, before running as fast as she could despite her previous injuries the way she thought Sunshine had gone.

She had picked the wrong hallway. It wasn't Sunshine at the end there - it was Sabretooth. Acting out of instinct, Veil generated two force fields and threw them at Sabretooth like frisbees, cutting the mutant but the wounds healed as quickly as they formed.

"It'll take more than that to stop me, little piggies... shall I prove it? Shall I huff and puff and blow your house down?" Sabretooth taunted

Jack was trapped inside of the Music Room. The piano kept on playing over and over again, its pace gradually increasing with the repetition of the simple song. It was Für Elise, one of the most famous songs of Beethoven. When it came to classical music, it was Jack's mother's favorite piece... although Renegade rarely listened to classical music. She preferred the music of her childhood, the 80's, by far. He would detect a hint of lemon from the folder and get an idea - what if there was invisible ink concealing something more? There was an lit candle across the room. Perhaps that would help to illuminate things.

Callie was trapped inside of the Mechanic's Garage. Suddenly, one of the cars roared to life and a static filled radio report began to play. Was this real? Or was it an attempt by whoever ran the Hound program to get inside of her head? "Tragedy struck in Buffalo New York this evening. Two twin boys were found hung outside of the local high school. M's were carved into their faces, suggesting that the Purifiers claim responsibility. Our condolences to the family of Officer Johnson in this trying time..."

Leighton was trapped inside of the Wardrobe Suite. Her aunt Emma, dressed in white, smiled at her slightly from the chaise. "I understand, darling, that you must hardly remember me... Nor do I doubt that you paid much attention to one of your many relatives at our family gatherings, as I certainly had no interest in my dear sister - your mother, Adrienne." She smirked ever so slightly. She did not care for either of her sisters - she hated Adrienne for being older and more loved by their parents, and Cordelia was simply a rebel without a cause.

"It was wrong of Adrienne to keep so much of our family history from you, Leighton. The Frost siblings are mutants - we are a noble lineage, one destined to bring our people out of oppression and into freedom.... You were born royalty, something denied to you as Adrienne feared your potential."

The Small Wet Country Across the Sea: November 6th, 12,508 - 1:10 AM

Myrus Silvers

Location: Outside the Vault - the Palace
Skills: N/A
Nothing terrible happened in Luna's room - it seemed the excitement must have died down for the night. The shadows were long and it was far past the time when any Crown Princess should have retired to bed. And with the majority of the staff sleeping in the barracks, it certainly wasn't safe for her to be wandering off on her lonesome. Similarly, Ahote would not have any difficulty with his task - the servants were too scared and frightened to protest, their eyes only held wide open at this late hour from adrenaline.

"...Alright, if you're sure," Myrus informed Valda, as she said she would go off to send a message rat to Rowland. He was nervous at the idea of both of his sisters walking off all alone, but Luna and Valda were stronger than they appeared... and Valda already appeared rather strong. Biting his lip slightly, Myrus walked to the corridor that Hid the Queen's Room and he walked through the wall, emerging on the other side. The events of that day... they were unbelievable. Beyond the vampiric massacre, he had traveled to the future. His siblings had returned thanks to a half dragon, half boat. And Mavis... His heart wept for her more than it did for Amarantha.

Violet

Location: ???
Skills: ExtraOrdinary Magyk
Violet's heart was hammering in her chest like mad as warriors seemed to melt out of the shadows. Some of them were Magyk, their darkened emerald eyes staring at the two women assembled. Others were skilled in the blade, scars littering their body and telling the many fights they had survived to see finished. A hushed silence came over the Hellfire Circle, before the legion bent the knee to Fleur, bowing their heads.

"Hail Fleur! Hail the Demon's Head!" the legion chanted in unison. She had another army backing her, another force to add to her numbers. With all of her amassed power, what could the Castle do to stop her? Would Queen Valda be able to withstand such an assault? Perhaps if Fleur knew the horrific events that had transpired that Bonfire Night, she might have been inclined to strike now in this weakened state.

Violet was quiet, observing the scene. She trusted Fleur, but she did not trust these men. They had served a corrupt leader - were they not guilty of the same crimes the Lord Hellfire had been? The man had died a dragon, his gigantic carcass draped across the circle. "The Way - we should return through it. The Castle may need us," Violet confided in her friend. She hoped that just as they had accidentally walked through it to come here, they might be able to find some sort of way back through if they wandered around the woods long enough.
Asgard: November 6th, 12,508 - 2:10 AM

The Palace Entrance Hall...

Coming up from the dungeons, Halley and Myth entered the entrance hall of the Palace. The throne room was not too far from here and Halley did not doubt that her aunt would be there, awaiting the news of their journey to Midgard and the mission to recover the Tesseract from the thief. Loki had yet to produce the precious stone, but Halley was certain that it had to be him. There was nothing he coveted more in the world than that gem. "He's Loki," Halley explained to Myth. "In my life, I've found that securing him tends to be a good approach to any dilemma... especially when it involves an infinity stone."

Glancing down the hallway, she saw Bruce alone emerging from Nova's room. "How did it go, brother?" she asked, curious - and a bit concerned for her little sister. Nova was a bit annoying at times, as she was perpetually a child, but she was family nonetheless. Arnora came into view a moment later and Halley gave her a curt nod, unsurprised to see she had returned - but a bit confused that Cuyler had not returned with her.

Bruce and Myth's Home...

Antonije nodded slightly, opening the door to Myth and Bruce's home with his foot and kicking it open. No one on Asgard seemed to be too concerned with locks, he noticed. It was almost sickening at times how much these gods and goddesses trusted each other - though he supposed that explained why Loki was able to trick them all time and time again. Heading inside, he found the spare room that had been allocated for him and he tucked Sylvi into bed, smirking a little bit at her.

"Would Sleeping Beauty like a bedtime story?" he teased.

The Well of Mimir...

"Kan du møte det elva vet..." Arya's voice whispered into Cuyler's ear. Was it actually her or just some manifestation of Mimir's power taking on her memory and intonation? Rowland had implied some very dark things about her... was this what remained of the Arya he knew, just a whisper in the back of his mind, singing tales in his native tongue? Or was it a Magyk all of its own, perhaps a desperate cry for help from the ex-ExtraOrdinary Wizard?

"Is that truly the answer you have come to seek?" the hooded figure asked. The figure didn't move towards Cuyler, not moving at all but somehow the water continued to ripple around them. This water would feel strange and foreign to Cuyler - as if there was something Magykal about it, begging him to dive in deeply and inhale, to drown... "What have you sacrificed for knowledge?" the hooded figure asked - did they mean his eye, as Sága had said earlier?

The Hub - San Fransisco: December 24th, 2020 - 5:40 P.M.

Bonnie rolled her eyes slightly at Raynor, not taking a drink despite his obvious attempt to target her. Sure, she was pretty certain that Flynn wanted to take their relationship to that level already but Bonnie wasn't ready yet. She had only slept with one other guy before and that had been her deceased husband. As much as she wanted to move forward, there were moments when it was difficult to do so. However at Harry's never have I ever set something on fire, Bonnie did take a swig of her drink. Sci-Tech could get crazy at times. Both Raynor and Novikova also took a drink, with Raynor hardly feeling the alcohol and Novikova enjoying the slight buzz several shots of vodka had provided her.

"Of course you've gone skinny dipping," Bonnie chided, shaking her head slightly at Flynn with a smile. He was such a stereotype at times - especially with all of the things he ended up drinking to in this party game. She didn't take a drink, though Novikova did. She had gone skinny dipping once as a dare in college. Raynor drank as well, having unintentionally gone skinny dipping a few times in his youth when his cousin stole his clothes down at the waterfalls.

"So I need to take you skinny dipping, then?" Raynor whispered in Sparky's ear. "Could be fun, just you, me, and the water..." he teased her. "I bet it'd be even more fun than when we did it in the conference room on the Bus." He smirked a little bit, remembering how angry Fury and the others had been when they found out about that. It was a bit of a point of pride for Raynor.

"Wow, so creative Flynn," Novikova said, shaking her head as she took another shot. Her head was definitely beginning to feel a little mushy and she giggled slightly, unable to help herself. Bonnie had to take a drink as well, still feeling clear headed since she was taking relative small sips rather than full shots each time. She wanted to keep her wits about her at the party.

Roman was still standing off by himself in the corner, just staring at everyone - it was a bit creepy.

Bonnie did grin slightly at Oliver's obvious shock and confusion. "This group has been through quite a lot... Let's see. In one version of history, we stopped an evil robot from destroying the human race. And then just about a week ago, a bunch of the group also stopped the Scarlet Witch from making Magneto king of the world, more or less." She didn't remember either reality, though Bonnie had been told by Niah about her sacrifice in the Age of Ultron timeline. She couldn't help but wonder where she had been in the House of M reality, a world created to grant everyone's wildest wishes... One where mutants were supreme over humans.

"It's probably Belsnickel," Novikova called out, seeing Oliver get up to talk to Tinley and having heard the same thumps. "Here to judge if you're impish or admirable..." she mused, before taking another shot of vodka and then breathing out heavily. It burned her throat a bit each time it went down, but it felt wonderful all the same.

Raynor turned his head quizzically at Novikova. "I thought it was naughty or nice?" he asked, having only a rudimentary knowledge of Christmas traditions. Despite living on Earth for a while, it was easy for the alien to avoid learning certain aspects of culture if he wanted to. He finished his bottle of rum, having drained the entire thing, and he set it down with a slight sigh. He wished there were some proper Asgardian ale here, something that would actually give him a slight buzz but fate was not on his side.

But it seemed fate did have something else in mind. There was a loud crash as a man in a red suit and a santa hat fell through the roof, two swords strapped to his back and bananas in his holsters where guns should have been. The comical figure winced at the pain in his knees from the superhero landing, but it was worth it. He looked so cool! "Ho, ho, ho!" Deadpool greeted with a wave. "Merry fucking Christmas, boys and girls! I'm sorry to interrupt this little fluff storyline you all have going on, but I think we have more interesting things we can do for the audience rather than wondering when Bonnie and Magneto Jr. over there are finally going to play hide the zucchini!"

"...Deadpool. Long time no see."

🏹 Arthur Twist 🏹

Location: Big Bad HQ - Lowest Level: New Room
Skills: N/A
Arthur paused for a moment, hearing the sound of someone walking down the hallway. They didn't seem to be interested in entering the room he had found, so the emerald archer relaxed ever so slightly, typing his next query into the computer: Harrison Snow. He needed to know the truth about his father's murder - the truth about why the Sisterhood had marooned him on Krakoa all of those years ago. Their actions, their evil scheme, it had turned him into a vigilante. They had made him into a monster.

"...Psylocke..." he growled, his voice barely above a whisper. The Sisterhood seemed to have brainwashed Elizabeth Braddock into murdering his father, leaving a trojan horse in her mind. At any moment, the twin sister of the famous Captain Britain could be turned back into a ruthless, killing machine. His hands twitched slightly, torn between putting an arrow between Psylocke's eyes or admitting to himself that she was just as much a victim as his father had been. The real killer was the one who had ordered the hit - the Red Queen, Madelyn Pryor. Arthur took a deep breath as he clenched his hands. There wasn't much more that this machine could tell him that he didn't already know, and besides, he hated technology. Stepping away from the terminal, he listened at the doorway to see if he could hear Pryor outside. As soon as she was near, he was going to kill her and avenge his father, once and for all.

⚡John Watts⚡

Location: Big Bad HQ - Lowest Level: Machine Room
Skills: Superspeed, Hand-to-Hand Combat, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Perception, and Memorization
A little bit of pride swelled in his heart as Belladonna indicated that she understood what he was doing. Disappointingly, Evelyn hadn't seemed to pick up on it, more focused on destroying the machine. Watts wasn't going to let anyone touch the contraption until he was certain as to what had happened to Andrew - and even then, he didn't trust these people with access to technology that advanced and powerful. One mishap and Evelyn and Belladonna may find themselves permanently switched. "Andrew" fell for his bait - the cupcake eater would never disavow cupcakes like that, Watts was certain of it. He was so focused on "Andrew" that he hardly cared for the intruder in the room. And besides, Belladonna had it handled with her sword.

Moving at superspeed, Watts knocked out "Andrew" gently - he didn't want to cause the boy pain. "Whoever you are, you picked a bad time," Watts warned, his eyes darting over towards the doorway. His body was still moving at superspeed, causing his eyes to have an eerie red glow from underneath the covering of his suit. That was the most thought he gave them though, turning his attention to the machine. Hopefully, one of his Ph.D.'s would be helpful when it came to figuring out how to fix what they had done to Andrew. If the cupcake eater wasn't alive, he was going to start ripping out hearts. No one and he meant no one messed with his team on his watch.

It had taken a lot of damage and Watts worked meticulously, repairing the components one by one. He was decent at memorization and from what he recalled of the schematics, there was an additional component added - something to reverse the mind switch. Watts let out an internal sigh of relief. They could fix what had been done to Andrew. "I can repair the machine and reverse the psychic switch they performed on Andrew," he told his group. "It may take some time."

Guin and Pietro

X-Mansion: December 19th, 2020
It was the day after everything shifted back from the incident involving Wanda. Pietro for the most part had been trying to figure out what really to do to help his sister after that entire incident, however that wasn't very easy. It did give him an excuse to sort of be away from the mansion until things with her were sorted out, since he wasn't quite sure if he wanted to talk to Guin right away. Things had calmed down for the most part though now, and he was sort of racing around the mansion, not really sure about sitting still, he was around though at least.

Down in the lab, Guin took another drag of her cigarette. Her legs were propped up against the bench top and she had her sketch pad in her lab. With her free hand, she crossed out a design and started to redraw it quickly, listening to AC/DC scream over the speakers as she worked. Ever since her memories had been returned to her, she felt this clarity - this knowledge of what she was meant to be and what her purpose was. She had been put here on this earth to invent and protect.

Pietro decided not to avoid it any longer, and reached out to Guin, Guina? Are you doing anything right now?

In the lab.

Pietro raced into the lab and looked at her, "...Hi Guina..."

She looked up from her sketch pad, putting her feet firmly on the ground as she swiveled her chair around to look at him. "...Hey."

"...It's that a cigarette?" he asked her, looking at what she had in her hand, "...You do realize those things can kill you..."

She shrugged slightly, just holding the cigarette between her fingers. "One cigarette isn't going to kill me, Piet."

"...You'd be surprised..."

Guin chuckled a bit, rolling her eyes before putting the cigarette out on the lab bench. "There, happy now?" she asked him cheekily.

"...How are you doing Guina?"

"I'm fine, just working on some new designs for the Iron Star armor... What about you?" she asked. She had wanted to go with him to sort out everything with Wanda, but he had been determined to deal with it on his own. There wasn't much she could do to convince a stubborn speedster after all.

"Well, managed to find a way to make it so that Wanda didn't end up in prison for once... Somehow..."

"Oh yeah, my dad texted me - she joined the Avengers branch out on the west coast, right? Honestly did not see that coming but... Who knows, maybe she'll like it," Guin mused. She knew that Hank Pym and his wife, Janet, were leading up the branch out there and they had already gotten a collection of misfits, including a girl named Spider-Gwen from another dimension and an ex-SHIELD agent who could control metal. The most interesting member out there had to be the synthezoid though - Vision.

"...I'll be honest, hadn't been expecting that one either but well, being over there is better then being stuck in the Raft for probably the hundredth time."

Guin nodded. "I guess they'll finally have to stop reserving her cell then, let someone else be stuck inside of it for a change."

Pietro chuckled slightly at that, "They probably aren't short on people that they can have stuck there..."

"Do people actually do the entire tally mark thing in prison, where they carve it into the wall?" she asked curiously. She had a huge fear of being incarcerated, to the extent that she never had been inside of a prison in her life. The opportunity had never really presented itself and she wouldn't have taken the chance to tour a prison even if it did. She had seen tons of movies where visitors ended up being mistaken for a patient or an inmate.

"It more or less depends on how bored you are... Like usually I wouldn't, I'd just play tic tac toe with Wanda, each one of us taking turns writing down the board and whatnot, it was all we really had to do," he said with a shrug.

"I bet I could kick your ass at tic tac toe," Guin gambled. She then flinched slightly and closed her eyes tightly, as if she had just got on a sudden migraine. It passed within a few seconds and she relaxed again, the tension in her face gone. "So... What did you really want to come talk to me about?"

"...The reality that Wanda had created," he mumbled, looking down at the ground now.

Guin extended a hand to him. "... What about it?"

He took her hand, still sort of looking at the ground "How things were there... The fact that you essentially told me to kill you at one point," he said, though the last part was more of muttered under his breath and hard to hear.

She bit her lip and looked down at the ground. She didn't really want to talk about what had happened in the Baxter Building that night. "... I'm sorry, Piet. I shouldn't have asked you to do that... I wasn't thinking clearly at all. I was in a lot of pain and it... I don't know, I guess I wanted the easy way out."

"Why would you do that Guina? Like why? I get it, everything was different, the world was screwed up we had no idea about this reality or anything here, but why still? I mean, really... That gave me more then a mild panic attack you know..."

Guin kept on looking at the ground, her hands feeling numb and clammy. ".... I think I was just suicidal in that world, Piet," she whispered. "I-I don't know what you want me to say."

"...Ok... I just hope you aren't really in the real world or something..."

She shook her head, feeling really sick. "C-Can we stop talking about this, please?"

"...Alright Guina..."

She nodded slightly, letting go of his hand in order to run her hands through her hair. She didn't want to think back on everything she had felt in that other world. Sure, she had theoretically had everything she could possibly want but the experience had been soul crushing. The House of M that Wanda had built - Guin's happiness there had cost her her soul. No, she hadn't even been really happy there. Never again would she wish for something like that.

"Guina? Are you okay?" he asked her, before he pulled her into a hug.

"Yeah, I'm fine Piet - just thinking about that stuff makes me feel really sick," she admitted, hugging him back.

"Oh, okay... I'll be honest I kind of have been avoiding talking about it myself... Anyway, we can talk about something else if you want to..."

"Um well... Do you still want to get married?" she asked.

"Definitely, why wouldn't I?"

She shrugged her shoulders slightly. "I dunno, just with everything that happened... I wanted to check."

"I still do want to marry you Guina... Don't worry about that..."

Guin smiled slightly at him and pulled his head down closer for a kiss.

He kissed her, before giving her a smile, "I love you Guina, more then anything..."

"More than Billy Joel?" she asked, giggling a little bit.

"Oh totally Guina."

She smirked slightly. "Wow, you love me more than Billy Joel...."

"Is that such a bad thing though?"

Guin shook her head, kissing his jaw softly. "Nope, not at all."

"Good, you had me concerned there for a moment," he said with a bit of a smirk.

She glanced around the room quickly. "Go lock the door and then close your eyes."

"Uh, okay," he said with a smile, before he zipped over and locked the door to the lab.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Camp Half-Blood - Zeus' Cabin
Skills: N/A

Andy was quiet, though Leda supposed that was to be expected. She had just seen something incredibly traumatic and horrific - again. It was enough to drive any normal kid insane, but Andy and Arthur were hardly that. They were the children of the gods. They would see tragedy time and time again in their lives, and all Leda could hope was that they were never numb to it like some had been today. The gust of wind signaled the arrival of one of her siblings - Tammy - and Leda relaxed slightly. The body was out of there and she was providing as much comfort as she could to these two kids in the meantime. "We can come up with a way to honor her together," she gently nudged them, hoping they would agree to help out. It would help them heal.

Arthur apologized, something Leda took as promising. The horrifying site of Ash's animated corpse must have been all he needed in order to learn his lesson. "It's alright, you're young and your powers are new... If you'd like, I could see if someone from the Hecate Cabin would be willing to help tutor you. A few of them also have abilities over the dead and they might be able to help you control yours, as well as think about how you want to use them." It was the nicest way to phrase make you realize how fucked up raising your dead sister was that Leda could think of.

✨ Rebecca Eventide ✨

Location: Camp Half-Blood - the Big House/Infirmary
Skills: Basic Medicine, Potions

Rebecca frowned slightly, hearing from Zeke that monsters had attacked the barrier. It wasn't completely unheard of, but she could hardly dismiss it as just being coincidence. The universe was not governed by games of chance in her experience - everything happened for a reason. She couldn't help but wonder if the barrier would be able to fail, if a large enough force of monsters amassed and targeted the demigods. Mr. D left quickly, the aroma of wine and grapes left behind where he had been. "We can head to the arena once we're certain Rosie is comfortable," Rebecca said.

She knew that Zeke ran the infirmary more or less at the moment, but she had to imagine he would agree with her. They hadn't had time to properly examine Rosie. Her fainting spell, even if it was connected to a vision, was something that needed to be attended do. Zeke had already informed her that they had herbs and such here that could be used for mortals, so Rebecca went to the supply and began to look through them for something that would help the Oracle. There were a few herbs that could be used to help Rosie regain consciousness and Rebecca fetched them, before going over to her. "Zeke, I'd like to give her these," she said calmly, asking him permission only since Rosie was technically his patient. "They'll help wake her."

Washington D.C.: September 10th, 2020 - 10:50 AM

The Amtrak Station...

It wouldn't take Anastasia too long to get Ksenia's restraints undone, but they were running out of time. If they didn't leave within the next ten minutes, it was almost certain that the authorities would notice that the train had been delayed. In order to stage this as a jail-break and not an abduction with an accompanying massacre, they'd need to move fast. The mutants Jinx freed looked around with wide eyes, as if seeing for the first time in their lives, and they quickly thanked Jinx and Anastasia before eagerly rushing the exit of the train car.

In the next car, Jinx would find another cage just as described, this one branded with the letter alpha. Inside was a petite girl with strange, glowing white eyes. She must have been David's sister and the only daughter of the famed Professor Xavier - Valentine Haller.

JFK Memorial Hospital - Gift Shop...

Vulcan was bleeding significantly from the wound Sapphire had inflicted with her ice dagger, but he wasn't down for the count just yet. He didn't seem that concerned by the wound - maybe Sapphire had damaged a nerve and he just couldn't feel it, or perhaps it was something extra that Shaw and the others had done to him. The villain was even smirking at Cayden's pain, proud of his handiwork with the energy blast. "You're going to have to do waaaay better than that," he taunted, before sending off more and more preemptive blasts. They missed all of the Mutant Underground members, with Colossus rising to his feet again.

"Really, Piotr? Back for more?" Vulcan taunted.

"Da. I could do this all day," Colossus answered, spitting at Vulcan's feet. Just as he was about to charge, a horrible, terrible idea came into Casper's mind and he rushed forward directly into the fray.

"Casper what the hell are you doing!!!!" Ben shouted.

Casper held out his hand, as if he somehow had a power that would let him blast Vulcan. "Leave him alone or I'll kill you," Casper bluffed. "You've probably heard of me - Legion, son of Professor X," he boasted.

"...You're pretending to be David. This is a horrible plan. He is going to kill you."

"So surrender or face my wrath, okay?"

The Cherry Bomb - Basement...

Sunshine pretended to brush off Jack's correction, though it truthfully bothered her slightly. She didn't know why it gave her a slight uneasy feeling, almost like she had eaten food from a trash can and gambled on its quality. However, Spark Plug ruffling her hair caused Sunshine to tense her shoulders up, like a turtle retracting its head back into its shell. "Can you please not touch my hair," she requested, phrasing it like a question but by her tone of voice it was clear she was annoyed about it. "I'm almost eighteen. I'm not five."

Veil smiled slightly at Leighton's description of her work - sure, she wasn't a fan of Leighton basically implying sexual favors in order to get what she wanted, but it was a clever tactic... and clearly an effective one at that. "Shaw and whoever else is running this operation, they know we're here by now - might as well go the more direct approach," she reasoned. Stealth had gone out of the window after Nightcrawler showed up to attack them, especially since the bar had been "closed for the day" by the owners. "But Glimpse, could you do a quick scan, see how many warm bodies we got down here?"

The young mutant's eyes narrowed as Max insulted her, turning from the secret elevator entrance to stare at the poncho wearing fool. "Why don't you go back to to your privileged, rich-ass life of fashion shows and runaways, asshole!" she screamed back at Max. Her face was scrunched up as Sunshine created a little green ball of smoke and she pegged Max with it, giving him a hearty cough. It wasn't going to really slow him down or anything, but it would make communication at the very least harder. He was lucky - she hadn't been aiming for something so mild. "So you can shut your pig mouth!"

"Hey, hey kid," Havok said instantly, putting a hand on Sunshine's shoulder. She flinched and jerked away. "He's an idiot, okay? And not worth the time or effort." Had Max not insulted him, Havok might have sided with Max on Sunshine's mannerisms - but since Max had lumped them together in that tirade, they were on the same side, the same team.

"ENOUGH!" Veil shouted, not caring that they were in enemy territory. "I get it, everyone here hates each other. But if you guys can't put aside your differences long enough to work together, then leave. This isn't some game. This isn't playing X-Men or Avengers - it's real and if you all keep on squabbling, someone is going to get killed. We all might get killed. Understood?" she snapped, looking at each person in turn.

Now, Sunshine wanted to avenge Erg's death more than she wanted to torment Max, so she nodded slightly at Veil, not answering verbally. "You got it," Havok answered, eyeing Max and wondering what he would do.

🗡️ Megan Pendragon 🗡️

Location: Orphanage
Skills: N/A

Megan slipped the photo of Isabella into her pocket, knowing that she would be there soon enough with her brother. She had to imagine one of the factors as to why Jack chose to ride with her was that Isabella was attractive - and Megan supposed that she could understand it on one level, but she had always gone more for personality and intensity of will over looks anyways. Her eyes flickered to the kids running through the lobby. It felt like a thousand years ago that she had been in this same lobby, attempting to coax a spider into her hand so she could release the poor trapped creature outside. Megan almost felt like she was in a trance as she felt someone tap her on the shoulder and she turned.

She vaguely remembered her - this woman must have been working there around the time Megan was dropped off and later adopted. Had she just entered an emotional labyrinth? "Yes, I'm Dr. Pendragon with the Witchita Medical Examiner's Office... I'm here about the body," she explained, her tone cool and steady. There was a part of her that wanted to mention the letter, but she wasn't about to show her hand there just yet. If she and her brother had both gotten letters, then this old lady could easily have been the one to send them out. "Could you take me to where it was found, please?"
