The Amtrak Station...

To recap, the Three in One, Jinx, and Hawkeye were all unconscious - with the latter two still being on fire as well. The downpour Cass had caused was beginning to wane, allowing the flames to persist even with the water. And of course, Legion was currently manifesting the personality of a small boy named Tommy and there was no indication yet as to what power that personality wielded either. Luckily though, the X-Men hadn't showed up or anything like that, even though Valentine and Legion were Professor X's children - he really wasn't going to win father of the year. Lastly, Maria and Flynn both had been turned villainous, the two mutants now siding with the Hellfire Club in this conflict.

Valentine smiled slightly at Anastasia. "That's a fair point," she agreed. "After this, I'll be needing my violin." Offering no explanation beyond that, Valentine whistled once more, trying to send another sonic blast to knock the S.H.I.E.L.D. team down but she hardly produced a strong wind. Her eyes narrowed slightly in frustration. "I need my violin," she muttered. Legion/Tommy was being equally useless, just crying on the ground.

Bonnie's eyes widened slightly at Flynn's words - and if she hadn't been drunk, she might have been able to keep her mouth shut. She tended to get really chatty when inebriated. "That is so gross and cheesy, also I don't know if I'm ready for someone to hit on me like that! Since you know the last guy to really be into me died and all and I really should shut up and stop talking and--" she was cut off as Maria's arrow hit her, sending an electric current throughout Bonnie's system. The psychic inhibitor didn't fry however, something that Bonnie thanked her lucky stars for as she gritted her teeth and struggled to pull herself together.

Flynn had taken out Barton and Bonnie knew she couldn't beat him physically, and as much as she didn't want to do this, she needed a way to remove Flynn from the playing field at the very least - or to try to get him back to normal. People had had success in the pass with removing mind control or whatever this magic was through whacking people over the head - so it was worth a shot. "Hey, uh, hot stuff? Why don't you come give me a kiss?" Bonnie asked awkwardly, hoping he would fall for it.

The Russian agent narrowed her eyes, though no one would be able to tell behind her shades. This should have been an easy fight for them, but the tides had turned and now it seemed that they were about to lose to some mental patients and a pre-teen. "Hey Princess, why don't you get your hands dirty and stop asking others to do the work for you?" Novikova shouted, stumbling slightly forward. She managed to tear up some pieces of rock from the ground and she chucked them at Anastasia, almost hitting her but Novikova's aim was poor.

"That is what we call in Russia a warning shot!"

The Mutant Underground HQ...

Casper didn't seem to hear Feedback's words, just shaking as he curled into James. He felt more secure than he cared to admit in his arms, despite knowing James for less than a week. He didn't have the emotional energy to even consider how thankful he was that James didn't press further about what he was seeing, but Sapphire's snapping from the front seat about being quiet and the continued screaming of the ghost of Feedback's mother was making it hard for him to think. His brain felt like it was bouncing around in his skull and he just wanted a moment's peace, something to make it all go away. "Drugs make it stop..." he whispered to James. "My pocket..."

He knew that Jack would have killed him for it and Casper didn't really want to use in a car like this, but he needed them. He couldn't deal with this. Even as he was curled into James for comfort, he was crying hot and sticky tears. It wasn't at all the sort of liquid he wanted to be producing around this man.

"Illyana, how are you feeling?" Colossus asked his baby sister, as Sapphire would be able to reach the Mutant Underground HQ at last. Negasonic was leaning up against the wall outside, with Blink sitting down on a crate nearby. Neither of them seemed to be injured, so perhaps their mission had at the very least gone better. There was no sign of those who went to the bar however.

"I'm fine, Piotr," Illyana muttered. Her eyes flashed over towards Waverley, as if daring her to try the sedative on her now. The medication they had stolen from the hospital had repressed the withdrawal symptoms in Magik for the time being, allowing her to be closer to her normal self. The Soulsword vanished from her hand.

"If you need to talk..." Colossus began to offer gently.

Magik shook her head. "I said I'm fine. But I would like to get out of this cramped car." She nudged Vulcan slightly, but the third Summers brother didn't respond. He was unconscious - for now.

"We found a lair," Negasonic shouted at the car, texting away on her phone.

"It's not... Yeah, it's a lair," Blink admitted, hurrying over to the car. "Have you heard from the others? They're not here and they're obviously not with you."

Sinister's Lair - Sabretooth's Hallway...

Restraints on Arclight were apparently unneeded, as she vanished much in the same way as Nightcrawler and Sabretooth had done before her. Given that Sinister had appeared out of thin air and then left the same way, was he transporting his hounds and his Marauders away to safety after they were defeated? And were even the villains truly safe with the master geneticist and manipulator?

Once Spark Plug pulled the choker off of Havok, the necklace seemingly turned into dust, the particles blowing away right in front of her. Havok blinked slightly, coming back to his senses - and sadly, entirely missing Spark Plug's comment about his sexuality. "What..." he muttered, before seeing Riptide and he sent off a blast of energy, narrowly missing Sinister's fiend. "Bad guy?" he asked hopefully.

"Yeah, real bad, Havok," Veil agreed, barely throwing up a new force field in time to stop Riptide's shurikens. "Okay here's a conundrum - we can't knock him out without getting to him, and I can't let these shields down without letting him potentially fatally hurt us."

"...Hit him over the head with one, you can do more than just block with those!" Havok reminded her.

"...Right," Veil agreed, shaking her head slightly as she then slammed her force fields down on Riptide's head. The Marauder crumpled to the ground, unconscious, and then vanished from sight seconds later. "...Okay then. Glimpse, point us in the direction of the kid, please? And or Jack... Wait Havok, where's Max and Leighton? I thought you were with them?"

Havok shook his head slightly. "They ran into Emma freaking Frost, asked me to leave so they could talk to her. I couldn't exactly force them to come with me and right after I left, I... Actually, I have no idea what happened then. Next thing I knew, I was right here."

Sinister's Lair - the Laboratory...

Sunshine didn't really like Jack's repeated theme of you don't seem to realize this, crossing her arms as he talked. She did however commit the rule about having an escape plan to memory. "My plan is to make him really, really sick - sick enough that he dies - if he comes in here," Sunshine informed Jack. It was hard for someone to fight her when they were too busy fighting off polio (not that she had ever managed to successfully give someone polio, but she wasn't about to tell Jack that). As Jack was poking around, she decided the best way to mess with this guy would be to start smashing his stuff. She went around knocking over all of the vials that she could see like a maniac, only stopping when Jack called her attention over to the freezer.

"...If he wants to make the perfect mutant, why'd Erg have to die?" Sunshine asked. Shaw and Sinister, while different people, had the same goals and motives in her mind. Both of them were horrible, horrible people and they had cost Erg his life. She did take a lot of satisfaction in the fact that Sinister's weird DNA freezer was thawing out, especially since she had destroyed a lot of random vials. As Jack dragged her to the exit, she didn't fight him on it, though she did have another question. "...And what's DNA?"

Sinister's Lair - the Wardrobe Suite...

Emma smiled, glad to hear that Leighton had decided to at least come speak with her. "Of course, darling - I wouldn't even dream of holding you against your will. I am a firm believer in allowing everyone to make their own choice, especially strong young women such as yourself." The astral projection of Emma Frost flickered slightly, as she paused for a moment and even smiled slightly at Max. "I can see why my niece is so taken with you. Now it is very important that the two of you exit the way you came as quickly as possible - I am almost back in D.C., but I have a driver on route to your location presently. She'll meet you outside this establishment. If you have any other friends you wish to bring with you, Leighton darling, please do not even hesitate. All mutants need to work together, after all."

Guin Stark

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: Telepathy
Carolina's question caused Guin to snap her head to the side to look at her in an instant, the reality sinking in that she was going to achieve one of her lifelong dreams - she got to go to space! She had wanted to be a Jedi Princess growing up and this was pretty much the closest she was ever going to get to it, especially since with her telepathy she could do some Jedi mind tricks. Sure, Xavier had been nagging her lately about practicing more, but all Guin really cared about was being able to pull off the entire these are not the droids you're looking for trick. The circumstances of this mission were far from ideal, but at least if she died she got to check space mission off of her bucket list.

Her eyes widened slightly as Sara replied snippily to Mary, as almost simultaneously one of the new kids on the team revealed that she didn't know who Iron Man was - something that Guin didn't even know was possible after all the Avengers had done to save the world time and time again. But that was nothing compared to Mary's hotheaded, emotional, and unhinged response to Sara. I have no fucking idea... she replied telepathically to Pietro. "Hey Mare, how about we go into the next room and cool down before we say and do more things we're going to regret?" Guin suggested, seriously wondering if maybe Mary needed to go to counseling. Sure, Sara had been sassy and rude, but Mary was the leader of the team - she was better than sinking to that low of a level.

But of course, the quiet Wiccan kid had to telekinetically slap Mary. "...Oh I do not want to see this," she murmured. They didn't have time for infighting anyways. "So... Let's go get these suits on, then, yeah?" she asked, grimacing a bit in Allison's direction with a face that clearly communicated what even is going on.

Taking Pietro's hand, she practically dragged him with her to the adjacent room, seeing the silver suits. She took off her gauntlets that she had built for herself and set them aside, before getting into the Iron Man suit. Once it was on, Guin bent down and put the gauntlets on as well, leaving the boots with the thrusters behind (as those were incorporated into the suit). This way, she at the very least would have the weaponized repulsors at her disposal, a plus since her father had mentioned that these suits didn't have weapons in them and her mutation wasn't the most easily weaponized thing. "What do you think about a honeymoon in space?"

"....Why in space?"

"It'd be kinda kinky, you know? Doing it in zero G's? Plus, Star Wars - and Star Trek for you."

"You are ridiculous."

"Is that a no, then?" Guin smirked slightly

"Maybe."

Neil Spellman

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: Telekinesis
Neil tried not to laugh a little bit at Sara's retort to Mary, but the humor in the situation soon faded as the X-Men leader got up into Sara's face, yelling and cursing at her. He knew that Sara was more than capable of taking care of herself, but Neil was also a teenage boy. "Hey, you can't talk to her like that," he told Marygold, before using his telekinesis and slapping her. It wasn't nearly as hard as he would have liked, but he hoped that it got the point across. He wasn't the loudest person on the team - and that was easy, given that most of the members tended to be rather loud - but he still wasn't going to let people disrespect Sara like that. Or any of his friends for that matter. Neil stared Mary down for a moment, not afraid of how she was going to retaliate.

But as Iron Man came in and said that the suits were ready, he knew that glaring at Mary to defend Sara's honor (and his own pride as well) wasn't worth risking the Earth. Galactus could decide to eat the planet at any moment. He looked at Sara, nonverbally asking her if she was okay with the way he tilted his head. He paused a minute, before walking with the others over to the other room. The shiny silver suits were dazzling, yet they also felt foreign to him. He had been raised by witches - magic was what he was familiar with and comfortable with, not cutting edge tech like this. Would he even know how to operate an Iron Man suit? What if his powers somehow caused it to start glitching? He was sure that Tony Stark would have factored in that possibility with his design, but Neil still couldn't help but have a bad feeling about all of this as he got into the suit, ready to go take on the World Eater.

🗡️ Megan Pendragon 🗡️

Location: Orphanage
Skills: N/A

Megan took the tape from the security guard, ignoring Isabella's comment about her being obsessed with Disney. It was hard to not have an awareness of the media giant in this day and age. So many things were owned by the Mouse. Of course, her mind was mostly fixated on the woman they had seen on the screen - the prime suspect in the murder of John Doe. She stepped outside of the security room with Jack and Isabella. "I think I am going to go back to the lab, see if I can get an analysis done on the vial and ask the tech guys to look over the tape," she told the pair. She had a lead to follow now and her job didn't require her to stay here to interview all of the children as to what they had seen. "I'll let you know if I find anything," she then added, pointedly looking at her brother and not his partner.

Of course, Megan had no intention of going straight back to the lab - she was going to go at least drive by the meet up point indicated in the letter. Maybe she would find more of the substance Jane Doe had used to create the fireball there - or someone else connected to the murder. She then headed out of the orphanage and got into her car, placing the tape and the evidence she had collected from the vial into her passenger seat. Megan didn't bother asking her brother if he wanted a ride back with her - she figured that odds were, he was going to stick with Isabella - she gagged slightly at the thought. "The game is afoot," she murmured to herself.
Happy Birthday to the Gifted - One Year Strong!!!

@Nallore@FantasyChic@BlueSky44@Achronum@Trainerblue192@KazAlkemi@Framing A Moose

It's been an absolute honor to write with each and every one of you. Of all of the roleplays I have run, this one is easily my favorite. The functional dysfunctionality of the cast, the differences in perception of the characters compared to traditional superheroes, and just the sheer passion you all bring into each and every post makes me incredibly excited each week when I get to write a post here.

We're just 20 posts away from the magic 500 post mark and we're coming up to the thrilling conclusion of the season one storyline. I cannot wait to continue to push our characters in season two and season three - especially because even I never really know where this story may take us.

Excelsior!

Washington D.C.: September 10th, 2020 - 11:40 AM

The Amtrak Station...

A strange look came over Legion's face, seeing the flames and the torrential rain all around them. Ksenia faded into the background of his mind, as the personality of a small, traumatized child came to the front of his mind named Tommy. "M-M-Mommy?!?!?!" Tommy screamed, trying to get up to run away from Novikova but almost instantly tripping and falling to the ground.

"I don't take orders from you," Valentine warned Jinx. "Great, Tommy is in control. He's useless. Wets the bed."

Novikova stumbled to her feet, hardly remaining still as she was swaying all over the place. "Look, if ANYONE is going to beat him..." she mumbled. "Well, her too - it's 2019... Wait, no... Whatever... I'm going to Magneto them," Novikova slurred, trying to send metal shards flying at Jinx and the others, but the metal didn't even move.

Bonnie's face was bright red and her head was spinning. "They can't have done things to us mentally, since we still have the psychic blockers in!" she exclaimed, hardly able to hear his own voice. "So it has to be another type of approach - maybe it's magic? Or chemical or bio systems manipulation? Hmm maybe somehow they were able to change the drugs inside our body, flush us all with alcohol in order to take us out easily. But is it real? Wait it can't be a placebo, since again, that would be mental and we should have that blocked out..."

"I appreciate all that mumbo jumbo you're trying to think through, Chase, but y'see I never finished high school, but I learned that what matters is muscle memory," Hawkeye lectured her. "Why do you think Flynn is so good at hitting them? He made his name hunting mutants!" He then let an taser arrow fly, missing Jinx completely. He let another one go, missing - but the third one hit. Jinx was already on fire and with the blows from the taser, this was going to be just about too much for his system - he'd collapse soon enough.

"Eh, third time's a charm or whatever."

On the Road...

Thanks to Sapphire's blizzard, the cops were unable to continue to pursue the Mutant Underground members. While Waverley's nerves were understandably frazzled over the situation, there weren't any radio messages relayed about officers being down - so most likely, they were all fine. "I do not know," Colossus answered Sapphire grimly. "Wait, stop!" he shouted as Feedback pressed her hands down on Magik's chest.

The glowing didn't stop - if anything, it only grew more intense as the Soulsword materialized and Magik opened her bloodshot eyes. "I need a hit NOW," Magik practically growled at Waverley, her eyes fixated on her. "Give it to me or spend eternity in Limbo, girlie."

"Illyana!" Colossus scolded. "You do not need drugs - you are strong, da?"

"Shut the fuck up, Piotr, this doesn't concern you!" Magik shouted, the light of the Soulsword growing more intense.

Meanwhile, Casper was doing his very best to block out all of the noises around him. He didn't know James very well, but physical contact had always helped Casper to calm down before in the past and if he didn't calm down soon, he was pretty sure his head would explode. He could hardly breathe and the son of X instinctively went and curled into James, shuddering. "It's her mom - she won't go away," he whispered, though Feedback would be able to hear him. "I-I-I c-c-can't bring her back and I-I-I-I can't.... I c-c-c-can't...."

"I'm sc-sc-scared of ghosts," he then stammered. Ben had vanished for the moment, something that Casper was not going to complain about due to his severe sensory overload. He just wanted to curl up in a ball somewhere dark and warm for a little while. At the very least since they lost the police, Sapphire would be able to get them back to the Mutant Underground soon.

Sinister's Lair - Sabretooth's Hallway...

Sinister stared at Spark Plug for a moment, before chuckling. "Oh, my - I do admire your spunk," he commented, the words dripping from his mouth with a poisonous ease. "Although Luna, if you are going to trade in quips, you're wasting your time. A good threat carries far more weight, provided that you mean it." The master geneticist smiled and snapped his fingers, as three figures appeared behind him. "I always have adored a bit of theatre... This is my lovely lieutenant, Arclight, a veteran of a recent Middle Eastern conflict. Her abilities over shockwaves allow them to shatter your bones completely."

"Riptide, of course, can move his body at unnatural speeds to generate tornadoes - and fling out deadly shurikens in the process. In such close quarters, this will likely prove fatal to his targets. And oh, I am certain you recognize the poor soul the lovely Malice is inhabiting - the lesser of the Summers brothers, Havok."

Havok was staring at them with a cruel smirk on his face, a strange black choker necklace around his neck. "Handle these three, my Marauders," Sinister instructed, before vanishing into thin air.

"Odd choice of jewelry for Havok - how much do you want to bet we take it off, he goes back to normal?" Veil muttered to her comrades. That was all she was able to say, before the fight began. Malice sent off a blast at Spark Plug, narrowly missing the electricity manipulating mutant. Arclight extended her hands and sent a gigantic shockwave at Glimpse, sending the daughter of Captain Britain flying backwards into one of the walls, hitting it hard. Riptide spun himself rapidly, generating a cyclone and sending shurikens out but Veil threw up force fields quickly, causing all of the shurikens to hit the fields and fall to the ground harmlessly.

Sinister's Lair - the Laboratory...

Sunshine practically gagged at Jack's description on how he morphed his hands into keys normally - that was disgusting. She didn't even want to know what happened to his bones when he used his powers. The more she thought about it, the more she had to hold back the urge to vomit all over the laboratory floors. Trying her best to focus on the task at hand - knowing that it would lead her towards getting vengeance for Erg and revenge for her latest abduction - she started moving around the lab. Awkwardly, she couldn't read the signs on the cabinets. Her English reading skills were very much practical and functional - words that she saw repeatedly, like on traffic signs and the such, definitely not things like corrosive acids or hazardous waste.

"Hey, Marshmallow, what does--," Sunshine began to ask, only to turn around and see that Jack was on the phone. He was asking about someone called Mister Sinister, a name she hadn't heard before but it didn't sound great from context, especially with the revelation that Jack's father killed Morlocks or at the very least tried to. She hesitated for a moment, wondering if she could trust Jack given who his father was... but for all Sunshine knew, her father could easily be evil as well. She couldn't judge Jack for things someone else did. Besides, he was too nice to be evil and to secretly have a hand in Erg's death.

"No way, not yet - we still don't know why they killed Erg," Sunshine pointed out to Jack, crossing her arms. "You can run away if you want to, but I'm not leaving until these Nazi fucks pay."

Sinister's Lair - the Wardrobe Suite...

Emma was doing her very best to be patient with Max - she was here for Leighton, not him, yet she sensed that he was important to her niece so she was attempting to humor him. "Child, I have stopped him," she corrected Max. "He will no longer be a threat to anyone - you have my word." Emma then walked back over to the chaise, lacing her fingers in front of her. "Beyond running a Fortune 500 company, I am the leader of an organization that is attempting to create a mutant homeland. I'm here for my niece as I wish to protect her - and this facility is not mine. The both of you need to leave immediately. I can have a car sent to you to collect you if you wish."

There was then a meow as a black cat darted out from underneath the sofa, hissing slightly at Leighton and Emma. The cat had three eyes instead of two, the three eyes forming a triangle rather than a straight line.

The Small Wet Country Across the Sea: November 10th, 12,508 - 10:15 AM

The Throne Room - the Palace...

Myrus' face fell slightly at Luna's words, having hoped that she would support him in this. Yes, he didn't have much training but he had these powers and abilities. He knew in his heart that he may not win the Games, but he would at the very least survive them. And on top of that, it would afford him a chance to prove himself. The young prince was slightly on edge in Amarantha's presence. While she was practically back to normal, he still couldn't shake some of the memories. And in some ways, he was angry that Amarantha had survived while Mavis had not.

He sighed as Valda named Ahote as her champion instead of him. "It's alright," he told her, more or less informing his sister that he wasn't going to hold a grudge over this. Of course, there wasn't really time for grudges. Rowland was remaining dutifully by the Queen's side, most likely for the best as Empress Astris walked over to Valda, Anna at her heels.

"Queen Valda - how delightful it is to finally see you in person," Empress Astris said emotionally, her voice like ice. "If you have a moment, I should like to speak to you privately before the Saecular Games begin... Somewhere away from the filth," she then added, nodding over towards King Alvis. The King of the Land of Long Nights was currently conversing with King Nicholas, having a crude conversation that was more or less derogatory towards women with loud, boisterous laughs.

"Now, boy, if that comes to pass as you say... I think there's a promising alliance for the both of us," King Alvis agreed, chuckling as he clapped a hand on King Nicholas' back. Nicholas flashed a poison smile over towards Queen Valda, his dear cousin, before he went with King Nicholas over to the small buffet table set up along the far wall.

The Saecular Games - the Palace Grounds...

"Great, the last person on Asgard who should be anywhere near Loki's machinations is here," Halley muttered, incredibly frustrated with her grandfather and great-uncle. She doubted they'd be successful in convincing Baldur to leave as well - maybe they wouldn't be able to avoid Ragnarok. Maybe the force of fate was too strong and too powerful to even delay the horrific events? She shook her head slightly. Until they knew for sure that it was all too late, they had to at the very least try. That was what heroes do.

"Yeah, of course we can avoid him," Antonije promised Sylvi telepathically. He didn't look forward to meeting Sylvi's father at any rate. "Silvija and I can go look through the staging area - maybe Loki stashed it there," Antonije offered, receiving a curt nod from Halley.

"Brother, Cuyler, Myth, Arnora... If you four can search the stands for the Tesseract, I can go try to persuade Grandfather to return to Asgard."

Antonije then took Sylvi's hand and pulled her away while the others were talking. It wasn't too long before he reached the small staging area behind the stands, where the animals were kept in their cages. Mobile trailers were set up, filled with various props and whatnot. "Okay, where would you hide a dangerous Magyk stone back here?" Antonije whispered telepathically to Sylvi, eyeing the most grand and luxurious of all the trailers. It contained a wide variety of weapons - perhaps Loki placed it in there?

The Forest...

Violet listened to Fleur's plan, feeling the weight of it fully now. It had all been in the abstract before, but Fleur's plan for her forces was smart and clever. She didn't fret for the Royals and those who defended them, but her mind wandered to the civilians. There would be some of them there in the stands, watching the Games - would they lose their lives to this conflict? "What of the spectators - the innocents?" Violet asked, wanting Fleur's word that they would not be harmed but she knew that could not be guaranteed.

Building a better world took bloodshed and sacrifice. She took a breath, before tilting her head to the right, Sensing something familiar nearby. A phantom pain shot through her eye and she gasped slightly, closing it tightly. The odd sensation vanished, the uncomfortable Feeling that there was something nearby she needed to see going away. "If we attack before the Games begin, it'll minimize the civilian casualties," Violet offered. She and Fleur could hardly Transport an entire army there, but they were so close to the Castle from this point in the Forest that all they would need to do would be to cross the Moat and then breach the Castle Walls.

The battle could conceivably start in ten minutes or less.

The Hub - San Fransisco: December 24th, 2020 - 6:10 P.M.

The Common Room...

Novikova grimaced, nodding in agreement. Just about everyone had already left to go down to the garage. She hadn't had the displeasure of working with Roman, but from what she heard from Maria he tended to always be like this. It made the wound of her firing sting, knowing that someone like him could work at S.H.I.E.L.D. but she couldn't. "Fiiiine, we'll go chase down Deadpool," Novikova huffed. Of course, part of her wanted to catch Deadpool single handedly and then shout I guess you needed me after all, then to Tinley and the other superiors at S.H.I.E.L.D. Vodka tended to make her a bit giggly, but also prideful and stubborn. "Hey, NPC, hold down the fort here will ya?" Novikova shouted, rolling her eyes.

Roman nodded his head once, otherwise not moving at all.

"What's wrong with you anyways - wait, let me guess, you're a really bad HYDRA spy? Secret robot? An escaped mental patient bent on revenge against a pretty blonde?" Novikova prodded.

Roman tilted his head at the couple, before his skin rippled and he morphed into a green, alien creature. Before Novikova could so much as blink, the creature went into a berserker rage, pulling a knife and tackling the ex-S.H.I.E.L.D. agent to the ground. He repeatedly tried to stab her, with Novikova barely able to hold back the metal blade using her powers of metal bending.

"Shit, shit, shit!" Novikova screamed as the alien bit her, leaving a nasty gash on her shoulder.

The Garage...

Bonnie had hurried to the garage with Niah, just in time to get the location on where they were going to trap Deadpool. Tinley and Tempest had already left before she even had a chance to arm them with the supplies she had found, causing her to sigh slightly. She'd just have to pass out the goods once they got there. Matt and Harry seemed to have paired up, and Oliver hadn't made his way down to the garage yet. And while she had never driven a trike before, she figured it couldn't be that hard, right?

"...Shit, Cass, can you drive?" Bonnie asked. She didn't actually have a driver's license. The cars in the garage were too bulky for this sort of chase and Coulson's flying car sadly wasn't there. "One of the quads or trikes should do it - if you could take Niah, then I can go with Flynn." she figured. Oliver wasn't down there yet - she figured he either had already left with someone else or that something had held him up upstairs.

Tinley and Tempest would make it to the park with no issues. Since it was Christmas Eve, it was practically deserted, though the trees were decorated with lights. The park was mostly open spaces, with a little playground area for little kids near the parking lot. There was no sign of Deadpool yet.

The Roads...

Raynor was dangling from Sparky's arms, feeling at least mildly afraid that she would drop him - though that was counterbalanced by his overwhelming desire to get the presents back from Deadpool and then beat the mutant senseless. It was hard to really tell what Deadpool was doing from Raynor's vantage point -

So I'll tell you! You see, when you can break the fourth wall like it's nobodies business, texting and driving is eaaaasy as pie! And I just got a hot, hot, hot message from my true love, Peter! <3 Sure, the movies have so far portrayed me as just an average straight dude (bleh) but I have so much love to give for everyone, not just skinny girls named Vanessa! And let me tell you, I've spent many a night with my unicorn thinking about Peter... I'd love to make his webs shoot, if you know what I mean!

- "Sparks, I think he's... he's headed to the park!" Raynor shouted. He was really glad that this ridiculous Santa costume came with a belt, since otherwise the oversized pants likely would have fallen off already. No doubt some little kid was seeing Santa flying outside their window right now with amazement, rediscovering the true spirit of Christmas. "Once we get there, we save the gifts and then beat the shit out of him, sound good?" he asked her, shouting slightly to be heard over the wind that had kicked up rapidly.
