⚡John Watts⚡ and 🏹 Arthur Twist 🏹

Location: Smallville?
Skills: Archery, Superspeed
Watts peered at Arthur, uncertain whether or not to trust him. Having raised little kids, Watts had seen plenty of episodes of PowerPuff Girls and he was almost positive that Mojo (or something close to it) was the main villain in that show. He couldn't discount that something incredibly odd had happened - he had been turned into a small child, as had the Cupcake Eater - but knowing that their enemy supposedly shared a name with the PowerPuff Girls made him more than a little bit skeptical of Arthur's information. Everyone seemed to accept 'Mojo' as being behind all of this, so Watts decided to work with the information until it became even more ridiculous. "She's right - we need to operate under the assumption that Pryor and the others are behind all of this until we can prove otherwise," Watts argued. "This could easily be yet another illusion."

He shivered slightly, unappreciative of the chill Sapphire was bringing to the home, yet the ground shaking was a larger problem. The gigantic purple robots responsible for the near earthquakes looked absolutely ridiculous. Had he not already disproved the theory that he was dreaming and none of this was real, Watts would have called balderdash. "I'll use my speed to dismantle them - these are proto-sentinels, designed to hunt and kill mutants," Watts declared. "The rest of you, distract them. I'm certain you are all familiar with the second Star Wars movie? Good. That should be enough of a plan even for you lot."

Arthur actually knew what he was talking about - he had seen those movies as a kid, long before he was stranded on the island. His EMP arrows seemed promising, since those ones could shut down electronics, but Watts' suggestion made him think more along the lines of his grappling arrows. He might be able to repurpose them into ropes of sorts. If he could tangle up the robot's legs, he could cause the robot to fall - just like in Star Wars. Did he want to take orders from the egotistical bow tie wearing twerp? No. Not at all. He aimed his bow, pulling an EMP arrow and letting it fly. The first one narrowly missed the robot - he wasn't used to such a weak bow.

Trying again, Arthur managed to hit one of the robots. The EMP arrow did its job, causing the might contraption to fail and collapse. One down, many more to go. He saw what looked like a blur crawling over one of the robots, as Watts used his superspeed (while wearing his suit, in order to protect himself from the friction) to rip out pieces of wiring. The robot's movement was definitely making it more difficult, and Arthur couldn't help but smirk slightly at that.

The Training Room - Shaw Industries...

"They've commandeered a submarine. If the Scarlet Witch assists their speed, they should arrive at the harbor in thirty minutes," Sage reported.

Emma observed the scene, her face expressionless as Max impaled Anastasia's foot with a metal rod. They had world class medical facilities on hand, complete with blood samples from Wolverine to allow for accelerated healing. "I'll collect you both when you've finished your session," she told Max and Leighton. Both of them seemed to be more or less engaged at the moment, so she smiled before leaving the room. She had Legion to attend to, after all.

The metal rod dislodged itself from Anastasia's foot, flying into Polaris' hand. "You need to focus - substance over style," she recommended to Max. "Once you've mastered the basics, then you can pull things out of hats. Unless you meant to impale her foot on a rod? Then well done."

Magneto had no desire at all to work with Max and Leighton. Leighton's powers were rather weak - he had seen better ice manipulators in his time, one named Iceman came to mind. And just as his favorite daughter had indicated, Max lacked control. "Since there are four of you present, the remainder of this training session will be team sparring." Magneto then glided over to the north and south walls, plastering a white flag on the northern and a black flag on the southern.

He then used his control over metal to etch a line across the middle of the room, a horrible scrapping noise accompanying the action - like fingers on a chalkboard. "The team to retrieve the other's flag and cross the line with it will be the victor."

"What're the teams?" Polaris asked.

"Polaris, you'll be paired with... Leighton," Magneto decided. "Anastasia, you have the boy."

Polaris shrugged, before stepping over to the southern side of the room. She and Leighton would be the black team, Anastasia and Max the white.

The Raft - Location Classified...

Wanda rolled her eyes slightly at Jinx, seeing his failed attempts at knocking the guards down. With a bit of a red shockwave she sent the guards flying, sending them into the wall. "Let's get out of here already." More guards would doubtlessly come to accost them if they spent a second more out in the open. The Three in One let go of each other, their eyes still that brilliant uncanny blue.

"We're ready," they announced, having obtained the information on how to pilot the submarine. They walked in unison over to the sub, heading through the open door and they took over the cockpit, so to speak. Phoebe was using her telepathy to control those up in the control booth, getting things on that end ready to go for their escape. Sophie and Esme were busy with the controls on the sub itself. "Wanda, close the door," Sophie and Esme said in unison.

Making sure that Jinx was on board, Wanda then closed the door they had entered through, securing the sub. A moment later, Esme's controlled operators raised a gigantic wall in front of the submarine, before opening up the "air lock." Water flooded in, submerging the sub, and the Three in One then fired up the engines as fast as possible, shooting the craft out of the Raft.

"If you wouldn't mind giving us an assist in speed," the Three in One requested. Esme was now piloting solo, while Sophie and Phoebe were attempting to figure out their geographic location.

New Mutant Underground Hideout...

There was a loud gust of wind near the entrance to the Underground, and another gust whirled by Waverly, going in and out of rooms, all she'd see would be a glimpse of silver rushing around. Suddenly the silver blur raced right towards her and came to a full screeching stop. Standing in front of her with a silver leather jacket, goggles, and pulling earbuds out of his ears that were connected to a Walkman, was none other than Quicksilver. "Hey there, where is everyone or is it just you?" he asked her as he moved the goggles onto being on the top of his head. He also pulled out what she'd be able to see was a Twinkie as he opened up the wrapper and started eating it. Thinking for a moment, he pulled another one out of his pocket and held it out to her, "Want one? Anyway, any idea where Veil is? I got asked to play messenger pigeon for Xavier since the last time I did that worked out sooooooo well. But that's besides the point, I was supposed to tell her that Xavier is going to be coming by later... Is it just you here?"

The Cherry Bomb - Sinister's Lair...

Blink closed off her portals once everyone going on the mission had come through to the basement of the Cherry Bomb. The basement was furnished like an elegant study lounge in a wealthy manor, the sort of place where fine literature was read and correspondence was written in a manner befitting Downton Abbey. Sunshine pulled the trick book on the bookcase again, causing the bookshelves to part mechanically to reveal an elevator. It took three trips for everyone to get down.

Just as before, the elevator opened up in a circular room with seven hallways splitting off from it. With the hallway directly across from the elevator being 1, and the hallways numbered clockwise after that, the hallways had already been investigated by the following:

  • #1 - Jack was trapped in the Music Room at the end of this hallway.
  • #2 - Sunshine had gone down this hallway, only to be caught by Mister Sinister and abducted.
  • #3 - Jack and Sunshine were imprisoned in cages in Sinister's laboratory at the end of this hallway.
  • #4 - Glimpse briefly went down this hallway, yet explored no rooms.
  • #5 - Leighton, Max, and Havok spoke to the astral projection of Emma Frost in the Wardrobe Suite at the end of this hallway.
  • #6 - Callie had been trapped in the Mechanic's Garage in this hallway, only to escape by driving a car through the door.
  • #7 - Veil, Glimpse, and Callie fought Sabretooth in this hallway.

The Mutant Underground was unable to learn more in their scouting mission. The missing information includes the training and sleeping quarters of the Hounds, the medical facility, and Sinister's "office." Using the information they already had, hallways #1, #5, and #6 are least likely to be significant.

The decor of the hallways was largely the same - stolen artwork, historical artifacts, suspended organs and limbs in glass jars...

Case details are included below. You are required to make at least one response per case. If your turn is up and you have not responded within 24 hours, you will be skipped. I will be starting off the cases shortly.

The Kingdom of Attilan - the Moon: February 14th, 2021 - 10:00 A.M.

The agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. never know a day's peace.

The mission brief given to the Secret Warriors that morning was of global, if not universal importance. Three days ago, mutants across the globe started displaying odd symptoms. Hives covered their bodies, their powers began to fail them, rashes marred their skin, and a piercing headache refused to go away no matter how much medicine was administered. While scientists across the globe desperately search for a cure, the media has dubbed this new plague M-Pox.

Anti-mutant newscasters such as Benedict Ryan have been calling for the movement of mutants into controlled quarantine camps, worrying that M-Pox may mutate and be transmitted to humans. The most famous group of mutants, the X-Men, has not been immune either. Bloom, Prophesy, Spirit, Spectrum, and Mystery have all come down with the mysterious disease.

Famed geneticist Dr. Moira MacTaggert, a close friend of Professor Charles Xavier, discovered an explanation for M-Pox early this morning at her facility on Muir Island. The atmosphere was flooded with terrigen mists, the substance responsible for the initial activation of inhuman powers. She realized this as people across the globe have been going into what appear to be cocoons, only to emerge with new powers and abilities. Somehow, this substance is toxic to mutants, likely reacting to their X-gene, and may prove fatal in time. No nations have reported mutant casualties yet, though violence against mutants has increased exponentially. S.H.I.E.L.D. managed to trace the origin of these terrigen mists to the Kingdom of Attilan, home of the inhuman royal family.

Director Maria Hill has tasked the Secret Warriors with this grave mission. While Hill hopes that the royal family can be reasoned with and that this can be settled without violence, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s duty is to the people of the Earth... not the inhuman civilization on the Moon.

Bonnie Chase and Raynor Blake

Location: Quinjet
Skills: Small Aircraft Piloting, Trivia Knowledge

Seated in the quinjet, Bonnie's breath was taken away with the beauty of the place. She could see Earth from one of the windows. "Where else are we gonna get a view like this?" she whispered, smiling slightly. It was the silver lining to this awful situation. She didn't even want to think about the odds of them finding a cure before the disease killed her best friend. She didn't want to comprehend her boyfriend getting sick as well. For that one moment, Bonnie allowed herself to live, to be something other than a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. She gave Flynn's hand a slight squeeze.

"This isn't even really space," Raynor criticized. He was piloting the quinjet, given that he was the only agent to have gone to space before and he had decent piloting skills with craft of this size. He was pushing a series of buttons and switches, slowly beginning the descent of the quinjet onto the lunar surface. The coordinates he had been given indicated that there should have been a city there, but he couldn't see anything. "You haven't even really left Earth, Chase."

"Whatever, Blake. Not like I was seeking your approval," Bonnie said, rolling her eyes. "...Where's Attilan?" Bonnie asked, a bit skeptical of the Asgardian's piloting skills. They were going lower and lower, but there wasn't even the slightest indication that there was a secret kingdom here. It just looked like the uninhabited surface of the moon, filled with craters from years of taking hits from asteroids.

"Wait for it..." Raynor muttered. A few seconds later, the quinjet passed through what looked like the film of a soap bubble. When they emerged on the other side, suddenly they could see Attilan. The inhuman city was protected by a special dome, one that provided both cloaking but also enclosed an artificial atmosphere. "Welcome to Attilan, folks," Raynor said, before he frowned as he spotted large heaps of rubble across the city. It looked as if someone had set off a series of bombs, destroying homes and businesses and shops. Even the palace had crumbled in some places, black smoke visibly coming off of it.

"What happened here?" Bonnie murmured, trying to make sense of this. Hill had told them that this had been where the terrigen bomb had come from, so why did this place look so war torn and shattered?

"...I'll find a place to put her down."

⚡John Watts⚡

Location: Smallville?
Skills:
"Oww!" Watts exclaimed, holding one of his hands up to his forehead. The screwdriver had hurt a lot when it hit him. His body didn't have the pain tolerance it needed to handle that without his eyes starting to water as he teared up. He tried his best to steel his nerves and calm down, unable to remember what he had said to his own kids when they got hurt, beyond offering to kiss their booboos to make them feel better. His son had been relatively easy to manage - Leda had been way more of a handful. She also had expensive taste compared to her brother. Stephen was content with the random things you could find at garage sales, whereas Leda loved going to Sephora.

Once he managed to calm down enough that he didn't think he'd start crying, Watts quickly hurried off in the direction that Andrew had went. The crashes weren't something he was thrilled to hear. Maybe he needed to get one of those kid leashes for Andrew, especially if Andrew was going to be stuck in this form... Watts didn't know if Andrew's mind could handle a reversal on this de-aging process. Coming up behind Andrew, he spotted a bunch of other kids and figured that they had to have been the others. The ginger was probably Evelyn. The blondes and the brunettes were anyone's guess. And the other boy had to be that rogue archer.

"He doesn't remember anything," he informed them matter of factly. "He's suffering from brain damage and didn't even know his own name." As for why they were all kids? Watts had no idea.

🏹 Arthur Twist 🏹

Location: Smallville?

It wasn't too long until everyone was there. The kid with the bow tie seemed to be incredibly full of himself, so he figured that had to be the fake speedster, Dr. Watts. And since there was only one other boy there, then that meant that the clueless goofball next to him had to be Mastermind? Or was that Andrew? It was a little bit confusing, though to be fair this entire situation was a little bit confusing. He had at least heard of Mojo and he sighed slightly, knowing that they'd have to work together to get home.

He hated teamwork. He hated trusting people. He'd much rather settle this by himself, but not letting the others know about Mojo would probably result in them getting in the way. "Mojo did this to us," Arthur explained to the two who had been unconscious when they met the glorified slug. "He abducts people and forces them to participate in a twisted version of reality TV." Arthur used to love reality TV - before Krakoa. Now, he just couldn't stand it. It was all fake and manufactured, plus looking at a screen for too long gave him nasty headaches. "He's also the only person who can turn us back."

Guin Stark

Location: Galactus' Ship (Team 1)
Skills: Telepathy
Guin honestly hadn't expected anyone to go for her half-joke of a plan of just flirting with the Silver Surfer to get what they wanted. It was nice of Bethany to go along with it, but she was still a little bit mad at her for the little geek out session she had with Pietro. It was also more than a little bit obvious that Pietro was feeling jealous over the plan of flirting with the Silver Surfer, so it was probably for the best that they scrapped it. Their precognitive wonder had told them they needed to free this one alien anyways. "So basically, we're gambling that this imprisoned alien has the ability to help us steal from the Silver Surfer," Guin surmised.

She had heard worse plans - namely, the one that Akane had suggested earlier at Stark Tower.

Her eyes flickered over to the vital signs monitoring display, her heart freezing as she noticed nothing was being recorded for Lance anymore. It looked like he had flatlined. Her heart resumed beating as soon as her frantic brain provided a slightly comforting answer - he must have busted out of his suit when he transformed into the Hulk. Banner had done it before, so Lance must have done it as well. He wasn't dead, he was just... green.

Guin reminded herself to focus on the mission - that without securing this device, everyone on Earth would die. She shut her eyes and concentrated, trying to locate the alien with her telepathy but she just couldn't find it. I have to be the world's shittiest telepath... she grumbled to Pietro through the mental link. "Hey, let's do a scan for alien lifeforms please," she instructed her Iron Man suit.

In a moment, her suit's heads up display lit up, showing her where all of the aliens were on this ship. It took her a second to notice one little dot a little ways away - likely the imprisoned alien they were looking for. "Found E.T. Do we wanna go spring him and see if he'll help?" she asked her team.

You aren't that bad of a telepath...

I suck at it. Big time. And talking to you like this doesn't count since it's not really telepathy, this is just the mental phone call link thing.

...You also haven't had telepathy for very long. So you haven't exactly had time to develop it.

I guess so.

Don't worry, you'll get a hang of it eventually.

Neil Spellman

Location: Galactus' Ship (Team 3)
Skills: Perception
The more Neil interacted with Iris, the more he came to the conclusion that she was just weird. He wasn't certain what to make of her particular brand of spunk. "Thanks," he said softly to Sara, squeezing her hand back and giving her a bit of a sheepish smile. He hoped that they didn't run into anymore of Galactus' pets - they had been lucky to defeat the gorilla and live to tell the tale in the first place. And if Galactus' first pet they encountered had been any indication, these weren't going to be cute little kittens. They were going to be killing machines.

He followed Mira and the others through the foliage, watching as Mira then managed to use her skills over technology to open the door. In Dungeons and Dragons, he liked to put the rogue in the front of the party as they could look for traps and hopefully dismantle them. Mira and Sara both needed to rest their voices and they struck him as the equivalent to wizards in this situation, so they ought to go in the middle. Iris had fallen into the role of the bard. This then left the rogue position as being best filled by himself.

"I'll go first," he said, crossing the threshold into the next room. It wasn't really a room, it was more of a hallway. The hallway seemed to go on forever upwards without end. There were two pathways they could take - one to the left and one to the right. The device signal indicated they'd need to go downwards at some point, hopefully without running into the blind and deaf gorilla they had just brutalized. "All clear," he called back to the others, letting them know it was safe.

"...I think we need to go that way," he said, gesturing towards the path to the left.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈 and ✨ Rebecca Eventide ✨

Location: Camp Half-Blood - Divine Cabins -> Dining Pavilion
Skills: N/A

"If it's worth the wait, why couldn't it be done already?" Leda grumbled. "It's hardly like we just got this bloody task a mo' ago..." she then added. She didn't see why they couldn't have had this already prepared. So much time had elapsed between Chiron asking for volunteers to go to Camp Jupiter and now. Yes, there had been a funeral but it had also been a relatively quick service. She was tired of just standing around and waiting while the world was waiting to catch on fire. Maybe there was a reason that the Romans had managed to so easily obliterate Greek influence. It irritated her even more that Kristin seemed to know what it was.

"And why can't they just tell us what the bloody thing is?" she added, steaming a little bit. She hated the suspense. It reminded her of movies, where everything had to be spoken about cryptically. She imagined that Rebecca was enjoying this - her ex adored the mystique of a mystery. Leda preferred to run in head first, punch and smash and slash everything in sight, and then think about the implications of wordplay later on. "Come on, Isley, admit it - this is kinda a stupid time to be patient," she added to her friend.

Rebecca chuckled, shaking her head slightly. Leda never changed. She could hardly imagine the daughter of Iris taking the time to boil a pot of water - it was too long a period for Leda to have to sit still and wait. Although, she could understand and appreciate her urgency in this matter. The fate of the world rested in the balance, but there was nothing they could do about that in this moment. The others were going on the fatal quest and they would have to content themselves with serving as messengers to Camp Jupiter. Everything had its moment.

"We ought to go eat the morning meal - give thanks to the gods and goddesses and pray for guidance on our journey," Rebecca advised. They had about thirty minutes until their ride would be prepared. She gave her group a smile, before Rebecca headed to the dining pavilion. She wished to ask for her mother's protection with a small sacrifice of her breakfast at any rate, especially since Hecate was the goddess of crossroads. Leda begrudgingly followed.

Compartment 1 -

The Head Girl nodded, smiling as Mary and Artemis volunteered. She was rather happy that the fifth years were taking the initiative when it came to planning the Celestial Ball. It was a good sign that Hogwarts would be in good hands after she and the Head Boy graduated. Maybe Mary and Artemis would even replace them in their seventh year. "Thank you. The Celestial Ball is scheduled for October 9th - the night of the Full Moon. The details are up to you, though Professor Flitwick is the staff member you'll be coordinating with. Please meet with him some time this week."

"And with that, thanks everyone - that's all of the boring business we have. It'll be a rad, brilliant year!" the Head Boy concluded. The prefects were free to stay in the compartment or move to a different one.

The trolley witch had now moved on, servicing compartments 5,6,7, and 8.

Compartment 3 -

The trolley witch had now moved on, servicing compartments 5,6,7, and 8. However, Georgina and Apollo likely won't be alone with their sweets for long. They'll be able to see some prefects heading out of compartment 1, as it is right next to compartment 3, so Mary and Artemis should be joining them shortly.

Compartment 6 -

Outside of Fae and Elizabeth's compartment was the Honeydukes Express - the little trolley laden with the very best and finest in wizarding sweets. "Anything from the trolley, dears?" she asked kindly. Since she had only gone to a few compartments so far, she hadn't run out of any of the sweets yet.

Paige Atwell

Location: Compartment 13
Magic: N/A

Paige nodded, grimacing a little bit at the thought - Zelda's parents could be killed by the escaped Death Eaters. They were dangerous, dark criminals and she was certain that Zelda's parents were capable people, but it wasn't something she liked to think about. The only thing she enjoyed dwelling on less was what had become of her brother, Simon. He probably knew the escapees - maybe he was off hiding with them in some backwater blood purist hideout. She pet Hestia a little faster in her agitation, wishing that they were at Hogwarts already and she could put everything out of her mind with a proper duel.

"She'll get hers one day, I hope."

The compartment door slid open suddenly. "Atwell, Flynn," Merula Snyde sneered, one of her cronies - Ismelda - standing to her side. "Should've known I'd find you two queers in here," she taunted.

"Bag your face, Snyde," Paige snapped. She had an odd relationship with Merula. Sometimes, Merula enjoyed picking on her and at other times, Merula decided to be something like a friend to Paige. It was most definitely an odd relationship born out of their forced proximity, since they had to share a dorm room.

"Why don't you eat my shorts?" Ismelda chimed in, only to be met by a death glare from Merula.

"Shut up, I'm doing the talking. Why don't you go bother some mudbloods, Murk?"

Ismelda huffed. "Fine, Merula," she muttered, sulking as she withdrew and started heading down the corridor in the direction of the prefect's compartment.

🗡️ Megan Pendragon 🗡️

Location: Oak Park
Skills: N/A

Megan's eyes darted over to the side, as she saw others starting to come in this direction. They didn't look threatening and none of them were cosplaying from the latest Disney movie, so that was something. However, the increase in people made her feel a bit confined, almost claustrophobic - it was like they were stealing the air from the park and making it harder to breathe. She had hated the crowds in the orphanage growing up, preferring the quiet serenity of a morgue. The little girl with curly hair mentioned another girl that had been approached. That was a little odd - the only boy she knew messed up with all of this was her brother. "I'm Dr. Megan Pendragon - Junior Medical Examiner," she introduced herself.

More girls were showing up - her brother would have loved this. They were all in various stages of disbelief with Merlin, and she couldn't blame them for it. However, she wished that they wouldn't have come up to them and instantly started swearing. It made her feel more crowded. But with everyone arriving here at once, she also anticipated her brother would show up shortly with Isabella. There were so many of them that if she hadn't remembered Merlin from her childhood, she likely wouldn't have believed him at all - and instead would have figured this was a sex trafficking group.

"There's no need to swear," Megan said to the ginger-brunette. "I'm a medical examiner - Dr. Megan Pendragon, pleased to meet you."

The Training Room - Shaw Industries...

"It's Ms. Frost," Emma corrected Max. She wasn't married and she had no intention on it. She enjoyed carnal pleasures, yet she detested the idea of allowing a man to have power over her in any shape or form. Emma gave him a curt nod as he thanked her for using her powers to lift him up. She didn't care much for him, finding that his loquacious nature was rather vexing.

Magneto looked positively livid at Max's display of his powers. Mutant abilities were not supposed to be toys - and they most certainly were not for playing dress-up with. The Hellfire Club was meant to be establishing the mutant nation of Genosha, yet how could they achieve that with such poor new recruits? He had supported Emma's leadership after Shaw's demise earlier, chiefly because he spent more of his time working with the Brotherhood than the Hellfire Club. Perhaps he was wrong to have done so. Not all mutants were worthy of salvation.

Reeva's phone then began to ring. She took it out and smiled slightly as she saw the caller ID. "I have to take this - it was lovely meeting you both," she said to Leighton and Max, as she exited the training room, answering the call and holding the phone up to her ear. "Benedict, what a delicious surprise..."

"They've made it to the hangar," Sage announced. She didn't enjoy helping them escape, but it was part of her duty. Professor X had asked her to infiltrate the Hellfire Club as a spy, since her thoughts were all in binary - telepaths couldn't read her mind and realize that she was a traitor.

"Erik, I am the Lord Imperial. It is my wish that you allow these two to train with you today. And my wish is most certainly a command," Emma threatened.

"So be it," Magneto sneered, taking off into the air again. "You want to see real power?" he scoffed, looking down at Max as Leighton hadn't engaged in the session yet. "Here's your first lesson. Dodge." Magneto then flicked his wrist, sending dozens of metal rods flying at Max. Magneto's eyes were glowing slightly, perhaps from rage or from the use of his mutant powers.

Polaris sighed. She hated it when her father's ego got the best of him - which was almost always...

The Raft - Location Classified...

Wanda followed along after Jinx, more annoyed than anything still by his existence at the prison at the moment. He had brought up Pietro, and clearly proved that the only place he lived, and belonged in, was in a place under a rock. She easily threw the remaining guards backwards, knocking them out except for one of them, who she then proceeded to just entirely annihilate by ripping the poor man in half. Her eyes were glowing before she glanced over at Jinx, "Annoy me, or get in my way, and that will happen to you."

"She's lashing out because of her brother - don't take it personally," Esme whispered in Jinx's mind. She tended to be the peacekeeper of the Three in One, the only one really with sympathy and compassion. Phoebe and Sophie tended to be rather cruel and uncaring.

Once they reached the end of the hallway, they arrived in what could only be described as an underwater hangar. There were two options for vehicles. The first was a helicopter, which would require them finding the control to raise the entire Raft above the ocean surface. The second was what looked like a small submarine. To use that, they'd need to find the control to allow them to manipulate the "air lock" so to speak, since otherwise the entire Raft would be flooded.

"We'll drive," the Three in One said instantly. Their eyes glowed blue for a moment as twenty guards rushed out towards them. "Handle them - we'll find someone with the knowledge on how to operate the submarine." The triplets then clasped hands, locking onto the mind of an engineer in the control booth area and they started to siphon the knowledge from him.

New Mutant Underground Hideout...

Casper couldn't even focus on Sapphire, too alarmed with the bloodied ghost in front of him. Shaw's spectral form was covered in knife wounds, staining what had once been a crisp white suit. Casper's eyes were darting about wildly as Jack put his hands on his shoulders. Everything was just white noise in his ears. He couldn't even identify the ghost in front of him as Sebastian Shaw in his state of complete panic. "J-Jackie, he wants..." Casper began to stammer, only to suddenly relax as Spark Plug manipulated his emotional state.

It wasn't a true high, so the ghosts didn't vanish from sight. Yet just as there are good trips, there can also be bad trips. Everything around him felt out of focus and he couldn't concentrate on anything. "You're going to go to a man named Essex. Have him make me a new body. And then, Spirit Seer, you're going to restore my soul," Shaw ordered.

"Shut up, leave him alone!" Ben snapped at Shaw.

"Quiet, boy," Shaw ordered, before sending a blast of ghostly energy at Ben. The dead mutant went flying backwards, falling through the wall that divided the training room from the entranceway.

"Stop it, leave Ben alone you dick!" Casper shouted at Shaw. The high Spark Plug had given him was giving him some courage and he ran forward, trying to kick Shaw in the balls. Casper wasn't properly aware enough to even understand the implications of what happened - his foot connected. Shaw dropped to the ground, clutching his ghostly jewels in pain.

To Veil, all she (and the others) had been able to see and hear was Casper shout at the air and then kick it. James' explanation that Casper's mutation allowed him to see ghosts was incredibly helpful, but she wasn't really sure what they could do with that to help. They barely had standard medical supplies available to them, much less inhibitors. And as much as she felt for him, they didn't have the time for this. Their window on being able to handle Sinister was closing rapidly.

"Ghosts are real," Magik told Feedback without another thought. "Dangerous, too. They can possess people at will, make them their playthings."

"Thanks, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina," Negasonic quipped. "Will everyday be Halloween with you around?"

"If it is, there better be candy," Sunshine commented.

Veil cleared her throat. "Stretch, can you handle your brother?" she requested. She really couldn't waste any more time. "Havok, speaking of brothers, yours?" she then asked. They also couldn't afford to just let Vulcan destroy their new home. They had been lucky enough that Negasonic and Blink managed to find this bunker in the first place. Veil doubted they'd be lucky a second time.

"Let's tie him up and drop him in the Savage Land," Havok said. He picked the Savage Land in order to address Waverley's concerns. No one really lived there. It was far from civilization, but not an impossible place to survive. Hopefully, they'd never have to see him again.

"...Alright. Blink, can you take care of that? After I discuss assignments."

"You got it."

Veil then took a breath. "This might be a suicide mission. Some of us might not come back. If you aren't ready for this, then you're staying here. Mister Sinister and Shaw have been kidnapping mutants and turning them into Hounds. Our job today is to save the captive mutants and destroy Sinister's lab. It's a maze down there and you should expect resistance. Stick to your group. Groups are the following..."

"First one - me, Jack, Moonwalker, Spark Plug, and Blink. Second one - Colossus, Casper, Glimpse, James, and Negasonic. And third one - Sapphire, Havok, Sunshine, Feedback, and Magik."

Blink nodded, heading into the dining room for a moment. She made sure that Vulcan was tied up as best as she could, before shoving him unceremoniously through a portal into the Savage Land. Once she closed up the portal, she hurried back over and rejoined the others.

"Newcomers - I want you to look onto those who have been with us for a while during this. Those of us who have already been in Sinister's Funhouse today, I expect you to step up as well," Veil then looked around the room. "Blink and Magik, open up some portals to the Cherry Bomb. If you step through the portal, you're on the mission."

The two mutants then did just that. Through each portal, the basement of the Cherry Bomb was visible. The secret elevator was in plain sight, with the rest of the basement looking more like an old library or study lounge than the basement of a bar.

This may not have been as impressive as hail HYDRA or Age of Ultron, but the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have successfully completed another volume - 'Twas the Fight Before Christmas! I'm so proud of all of you and I hope you enjoyed the Christmas themed break from death and betrayal, as we'll be right back at it with the Terrigen Bomb!

Now THAT puts a smile on my face~!

Excelsior!
