With Artemis gone, there wasn't an incentive any longer for Leda to be on her best behavior. "What the bloody hell is wrong with you, do you want to be turned into a stag and shot?!" she snapped at Zeke. Gods had ridiculously horrible tempers. Their lovers had never ended up in the best of positions in mythology, with the lucky ones becoming trees. Those who criticized them? Well, they ended up like Marysas - killed at worst, flayed alive at best. Leda was a steadfast believer in showing respect to all gods, minor and major, but she also wasn't stupid. She knew that their tempers were horrible and they were capable of being just as cruel as they could be merciful.

"You're so lucky Artemis apparently liked you, you wanker," she added, before finishing the rest of her food in irritation. She wanted this quest to be over with. It was just reminding her more and more what she didn't like about these two people. Kristin was tolerable, but Zeke was going to get them killed with a mouth like that. "Honestly though.... At least the rest of the way is clear of monsters. We're almost at the end."

Leda couldn't help but find Zeke showing off his tattoo idea to Artemis just weird. She didn't have any issue with tattoos - her mother was the goddess of rainbows, being a bit of a free spirit tended to come with that territory and tattoos were just a means for self expression. But to her, Zeke asking Artemis about the tattoo idea felt as if he had gone up to Athena with an owl tattoo and asked what she thought. Just how did he anticipate that sort of encounter was going to go? It was just awkward. She assumed Zeke's mother was dead from the way he mentioned wanting the tattoo to honor her and that - combined with wanting to make a good impression on Artemis - kept Leda from teasing him about it.

With Artemis' permission, Leda unwrapped her cheeseburger and took a bite into it. She practically swooned. Her stomach was so empty that the greasy, ridiculously unhealthy food hit the spot. She finished her burger rather quickly and Leda didn't touch her fries or drink yet, not wanting to gorge herself too much in front of a goddess. At least now her stomach had something to digest, keeping her from feeling like she was about to digest her own stomach. "So Marysas will be targeting Zeke, cool," Leda couldn't resist a slight smirk. "Kristin and I can get Calliope while he's busy tangoing or whatever with Zeke."

Nancy's head was pounding, but she nodded at Madalyne as her best friend helped her up to her feet. "Truthfully didn't even know I could do that," she admitted. Prophecy was a rare gift among the children of Apollo. The only other one she knew with it was Alexandra and Nancy avoided her like the plague. She had even heard some stories about people with prophetic abilities ending up being cursed if they didn't do exactly what the gods wanted - one of her half-siblings had been cursed for sharing the future, she couldn't remember his name. Cassandra had been cursed to have no one believe her. And even if those with prophetic abilities weren't cursed, they ended up old and withered or with an inappropriate sense of rage towards stuffed animals.

"Oh gods, I could kill for some chicken fries..." Nancy agreed wistfully. Her stomach then growled in agreement. With people going back onto the train, she figured that they might as well follow suit. She didn't want to have to rely on Madalyne's magic to stop the train on a routine basis, that couldn't have been easy. "Yeah, let's go," Nancy said, before getting back on board.

Bonnie Chase

Location: Virology Lab
Skills: Perception, Intuition

They did not need this right now.

Bonnie had a momentary urge to scream at the sky. They had finally had a small victory - Cass being cured and potentially being the means to cure everyone else of M-Pox. After the brutal losses they had already suffered that day, with Oliver being revealed as Thanos' son, they should have had a break. Strange had said that he'd put up wards to protect them. Yet Bonnie didn't doubt that the Black Order was the reason behind what felt like an earthquake. They were under attack - again.

"No, Thanos I don't think knew - at least, not at first. Otherwise, he would've sent his minions specifically for Oliver. The two who followed me through the portal wouldn't have had a reason to," Bonnie reasoned. "And now... Whether he knows or not, both Oliver and Thane are here. We're a target either way."

The fighters in the team went off to deal with the threat in the hangar. Bonnie would've joined them, but it wasn't the strategic play. If Thanos was responsible, they needed to hide Oliver quickly. Besides, he looked broken. Bonnie walked over to him and knelt down next to him on the ground. "Hey, this doesn't make any sense, I know. If you need to cry, then you need to cry - but right now, we have to move. One foot in front of the other or we're all be dead," she told him softly but firmly. She put a hand on his shoulder and gave it a squeeze.

"Niah, Sparky, Tempest, come on. We can go to Fury's panic room," Bonnie told them. "Oliver'll be safe there. It has some medical supplies too, so Sparky'll be okay as well." She then looked at Goose, the incredibly useful cat, knowing that he had to know the location of Fury's panic room. "Goose, I need you to lead us to Fury's panic room. It's life or death."

Dominika Novikova

Location: Virology Lab -> the Hangar
Skills: Metal Bending

In the hangar, Dalisy had destroyed three ships, sparing the team's quinjet by some stroke of fate. Doctor Strange had been unscathed in the explosions, his cloak wrapping around him protectively, apparently indestructible. Hill wasn't as lucky. After the dust cleared, she was nowhere to be seen. Maybe the explosion had killed her. Tinley was surrounded by fire, still laid out on the stretcher. The flames were growing larger and larger as the sprinklers kicked in, trying to quench them before they could spread to more of the ships there. "Maria?" Strange called out.

There was no response.

"Abercrombie?" he shouted next.

There was nothing.

Agents arrived on the scene, looking at the destruction and chaos. Novikova had slipped into the protective suit offered to her, hurrying alongside her wife. She didn't know what was going on, but she wasn't about to let Maria go off into danger without her. It wasn't very often these days that she got to accompany her on a deadly mission and besides, it was Valentine's Day. This was just going to have to do for their romantic excursion. "We need to get the flames out or this entire place will explode!" Novikova informed the others.

Strange was flying through the air, searching for Hill. Abercrombie wasn't in immediate danger, whereas Hill could easily be fighting for her life underneath a large hunk of metal at the moment, so he prioritized her.

Novikova closed her eyes, concentrating on the nearest flaming wreckage of a quinjet. She felt each ounce of metal on it, letting the vibrations ripple through her. Once her mind was fixed in a place between rage and serenity, she yanked up on the craft. It responded to her command as if it weighed nothing and Novikova tossed it to the side, more pushing it really. The craft hit the outer wall of the hangar and knocked it to the ground, the concrete blocks tumbling into a heap. She didn't let up though, pushing the craft out as far as she could before slamming it down into the ground. It was a grassy area out there and no one was about. The craft exploded completely on impact, leaving nothing behind.

One down, two more to go.

Paige tilted her head slightly, her eyes narrowing a little bit as Mary brought up planning the Thing. She had nearly been placed into Ravenclaw due to her stubborn curiosity and her thirst to reveal anything kept secret. Mary didn't have any interest in Quidditch - there was no way Zelda would've allowed her on the team - so that ruled out that. Mary also wasn't in the Dueling Club, which Paige regretted - it would've been nice to get to hex, jinx, and curse Miss Perfect every week without punishment.

With a jolt, a theory came to her. Mary must've been planning the Celestial Ball. It hadn't happened yet while they were at Hogwarts and from what Paige could tell, it was a random event that just occurred whenever the professors felt like it was time. She had been talking to her father about his Celestial Ball and his attempted date - the Giant Squid - at Platform 9 3/4 earlier that day. Her eyes flickered over to Zelda and she smirked. She was definitely going to pester her silly about going with Andre. Paige would've insisted to Mary to try her hardest not to make the Celestial Ball a complete drag, but with Dumbledore there, she wanted to be on her best behavior.

"You will be able to take all of those classes, yes. As there are only nine of you, I have selected a time slot for our meetings that do not conflict with any of your courses - or clubs such as Quidditch or dueling," Dumbledore answered Mary, a twinkle in his eye. "I am quite fond of Celestina Warbeck's latest album - You Stole My Cauldron but You Can't Have My Heart."

Paige perked up slightly, hearing Artemis essentially try to politely turn Dumbledore down. Her rivalry was with his twin brother, Apollo, but he hanged out with a group of the worst people in the school, so Artemis was largely guilty by association in her book.

"Unfortunately, you are required to sit the O.W.L.'s for both of those courses," Dumbledore told Artemis. "You may drop either Muggle Studies or Care of Magical Creatures. If you don't wish to join, it's no trouble. I'll simply need to obliviate you to remove this discussion from your memories."

She wanted to gag herself with a spoon as Apollo basically begged for Dumbledore to compliment him. Paige knew what she was worth and what she was skilled at - she didn't need Dumbledore to tell her that. If Apollo was half as bright as he claimed to be - and Paige doubted that - then he ought to have known what his own strengths were. She didn't understand how a person couldn't know their strengths and weaknesses - how could they plan and strategize without them? It was obvious that Dumbledore hadn't picked Apollo for his ability on a broomstick - he was a mind reader. As much as Paige hated him, it was a useful skill.

Even Fae she felt had an obvious talent - flying and pummeling things with her fists. Blunt instruments were needed just as much as crafty ones. Madalyne and Zelda were both great strategists, and Zelda was an animagus. Elizabeth was irritating, but she was clever and sharp eyed, a really good seeker for Slytherin. Paige's own talent was her skill as a dueler - she was the captain of the dueling club, almost undefeated throughout her time at Hogwarts.

"Mr. Harrington, a wise man must not know only his strengths, but those of his friends as well," Dumbledore cautioned him. "At the end of this year, I am going to pose your question to you and I expect you to answer it. For now, though, perhaps a bit of introduction to your fellow witches and wizards is indeed in order."

"Miss Mintfree has the heart of a true hero and the strength of a brawler. Miss Crane is perhaps one of the brightest witches of her age, gifted with both strategy and dexterity. Both of them are a credit to Gryffindor," Dumbledore said, before continuining.

"Miss Locke has a promising future as an auror ahead of her - and Professor Binns rates her historical essays as an absolute delight. Mr. Harrington is one of the kindest young wizards Professor Sprout has ever had the good fortune to teach and has a native talent for legilimency. Again, both of them some of the finest students Hufflepuff has taught."

"You, Mr. Harrington, I am told can tie a cherry stem with only your tongue." Dumbledore's eyes were twinkling yet his voice was kind. "Like your twin, you are gifted at legilimency and yet you also have an insatiable thirst for knowledge. Miss Winthrop has mastered several magical arts at a young age - an animagus and able to cast a corporeal patronus. Miss Flynn is the fastest chaser Ravenclaw has had in over a decade, with her magical prowess shown in her ability to turn into a cat. All students that Rowena Ravenclaw would be proud to call her own."

"Miss Flame is a rarity among Slytherins, a muggleborn. She is a gifted seeker and duelist, overcoming prejudice with heart and grace," Dumbledore praised. "And of course, lastly Miss Atwell... The best young duelist at Hogwarts and with a knack for finding trouble that rivals her father's," he finished with a bit of a chuckle. "Both exceptional young witches from Slytherin."
@Kirah K, once that's done move her on over.
@Kirah So in the skills, the pickpocketing specialty would need to be a separate skill.
@BlueSky44 Approved, move her on over.

Dunkin' Donuts -

Pyro burst into the Dunkin' Donuts, a cape of flames fluttering behind him. The glass door was thrown aside so roughly that it shattered. The customers inside of the store panicked, ducking underneath tables. Some of them sprinted to the bathrooms to hide. The workers dove behind the counter, praying to whatever deities they believed in that they would come out unscathed. They weren't paid nearly enough to die in a Dunkin' Donuts.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are," Pyro taunted, his sing-song voice more menacing than playful. "I'm going to count to ten. If you don't come out, I'm going to assume you've decided to decline our generous offer of membership... All the better for me."

Aside from terrified whimpers and the background music in the store - Oops I Did It Again by Britney Spears - there was absolute silence. Pyro's fire had turned into a pack of three flaming wolves. Each step of their paws left gigantic scorch marks on the floor. "One... Seven, eight, nine, ten!"

The wolves spread throughout the store, looking for their target. Eventually, one of them howled over by the bathrooms and Pyro went inside, kicking down the door of the ladies' room. He kicked in stall after stall, until he found Desiree crouched on top of a toilet, shaking with fear. She tried to focus, to concentrate and wipe out Pyro's senses, but she was too slow - one of his flaming wolves leapt on her and she let out a blood curdling scream.

"Leighton, help!!!!

Veil

Location: the Old Underground Hideout
Skills: N/A
Veil's expression was guarded as she listened to Warlock, especially as he mentioned that the goal of the Hellfire Club was peace. The last time a villain courted peace on national television, New York had been razed by Loki's army. She didn't trust the Hellfire Club, especially as they used cruel and brutal methods, ones that harmed mutants just as much as humans. With Magneto in their ranks, that told her that peace was just another world for domination. "Warlock, if we had believed that you didn't leave of your own free will, we would've fought to the death to bring you back," she told him sternly. "We don't abandon each other."

She silently prepared herself to throw up a force field to keep Feedback from killing Warlock. Taking a life, that was something that couldn't be undone easily, something that couldn't just be taken back. But her readied action completely dissipated as things took an abrupt turn for the weird. She didn't even know if what Warlock was proposing was possible. The only person she could think of who had returned from the dead successfully had been Jean Grey thanks to the Phoenix Force. Her brother had pulled Feedback into a hug, offering her what Warlock just had - a chance to see her mother again.

When Xavier had asked her to lead a branch of the Mutant Underground, he hadn't prepared her for discussing the efficacy of necromancy. He hadn't given her any tips on how to dissuade people from heading down the path of the dark arts. Veil adored Harry Potter - and it had had a clear message. Black magic, no matter how good your intentions were, was cursed. "I'm not an expert on magic or necromancy, but I don't think this would end well," she said, looking at Feedback. "I know you want your mom back - I get it, I'd want the same if I lost someone close to me... But resurrecting someone from the grave? That's the sort of thing that gets you cursed, results in the death of everyone around you, maybe even the loss of your sanity. If you're going to dabble with that sort of forces... That's opening a doorway. More than just your mom could come through. You've seen Casper, how paralyzed he can get. He can't control what ghosts come from the other side."

It had been way more than the agreed ten minutes that they would wait. Something must have been seriously wrong. No one had come out of the fog Spark Plug conjured to attack them - maybe the Hellfire Club had realized Ice Queen was double crossing them. "Warlock, contact Ice Queen now. Otherwise we're leaving. It's been too long. The innocent could be in serious trouble by this point - it might even be too late."

Casper Theriot

Location: Mutant Underground Hideout - First Floor: Training Room
Skills: Mediumship
For the first time in ages, Ben actually wished that no one could see him. He was filled with shame. "Sorry," he said quietly to Jack. He had spent decades with only Casper being able to hear and see him. His verbal filter was pretty much gone, as he wasn't used to other people hearing his snide remarks and comments. The glowing blue aura surrounding him faded away quickly, until Ben wasn't there anymore. Casper couldn't even see him at this point. Ben was just gone.

The blue glow in Casper's eyes and covering his hands had vanished as well. "Language!" he told his brother, before sneezing again. He wasn't too sure what was going on with Jack, since he was cussing out his phone from the looks of it. Casper had expected him to be mopey and sad over losing Alexis, not angry and anti-Captain America-y over technology. "Do you - sneeze - need some - sneeze - help with - sneeze - using a phone?" Casper asked his baby brother.

"Oh gods - sneeze - tissue would be - sneeze - great," Casper replied to Cayden. "I feel like - sneeze - my nose is - sneeze - an elephant's glory hole!" He really hoped that this minor cold or whatever disease Sunshine had given him would go away soon - that or he'd probably ask James to use his magic hands to make it all go away. Casper's nose was as red as Rudolph the Reindeer's at this point.

"And what - sneeze - makes sense?" he asked his brother.

Sunshine

Location: Mutant Underground Hideout - Aboveground -> First Floor: Training Room
Skills: Disease Manipulation
Sunshine let James hold her, not punching him or giving him a bad case of the seasonal flu or anything of the sort. She had memories - fake ones, she had to remind herself - of her father holding her like this in the other world. She could recall getting to watch cartoons on an iPad, going to amusement parks and screaming on the roller coasters, getting into trouble at school and the teacher making Jack come to settle things. It was painful, knowing that in the other world her life had been a lot better, a lot happier. She had to settle for the hand she was dealt in the real world though - one where her mother had kicked her out before she had even finished kindergarten, where she had grown up on the streets and had to flee during the Battle of New York, where she had been sent to juvi for a crime she didn't commit.

"I guess I should go help your boyfriend before he uses cocaine to stop sneezing." She got up from where she had been sitting, for a moment reluctant again to leave the outdoors and go back underground to where the others were. It was incredibly cold and chilly, snowing even - but she still just loved the open air. She could breathe better.

She went back down into the Underground proper, heading to where the others still were in the training room. She walked up to Casper and cured him in the most violent way possible - she punched him and green mist seemed to come out of his body, dissipating harmlessly into the air. "You're cured, loser. Congratulations."

⚡John Watts⚡ and 🏹 Arthur Twist 🏹

Location: Mojoworld - Hobo Camp
Skills: N/A
Watts' left eye twitched, hearing Andrew say that being trapped in a coma was just the way things were supposed to be. He refused to accept that. They had a workable solution to the Andrew Problem - just allow him to age normally as a boy, going through puberty and life again without the risk of death due to what the Sisterhood had done to him. "You don't remember your life. Your brain injuries were extensive. Unless we can have a guarantee that aging you to an adult again won't place you in a coma, then you'll have to deal with it and grow up like every other child. I'll adopt you and school you." His hands were shaking with rage and Watts desperately wanted to throw something at Andrew out of anger - and then Evelyn since she agreed with him.

"Evelyn he won't GET BACK TO NORMAL! IF WE TURN HIM BACK INTO AN ADULT, WE MIGHT AS WELL SAVE THE FUCKING ELECTRICITY AND PUT A BULLET IN HIS SKULL!" Watts snapped. His body started to vibrate quickly. He hadn't taken another hit of the speed serum, but there was still some left in his body and Watts' image blurred. He couldn't believe how everyone was just okay with the lunacy of this idea. They had done all of this to get Andrew back, they had mourned and grieved for him, and now they were just going to give up and let a coma snuff out the Cupcake Eater?

Arthur was staying out of the fight between the two other boys. One, he didn't really want to get involved. Two, Evelyn had asked him a question and Sapphire was accusing him of being stupid. He knew that they had to be careful. Unlike Watts however, Arthur's method of expressing anger wasn't to blow up and scream. No, he preferred to settle things with his fists. "My father was Harrison Snow," Arthur answered, his voice rough yet steady. "The Sisterhood killed him and tried to kill me. I was marooned on a living island called Krakoa for years. I would have been better off dead. But I'm alive, and my father is dead, and they owe me a debt. They're going to die."

"Now, let's go." This group didn't strike him as the sort that used plans anyways, but they already had one - explosives could be set up to clear an escape for them. They already had several people volunteering to make them. Arthur wanted to get his real body back, he wanted to kill Madalyne Pyror and her goons, and he was finally going to put his father's spirit to rest.

Vinnie tilted her head back and chugged the entire thing of cherry soda that Sophia had gotten her. She instantly fell in love with the sensation of the fizz on the inside of her mouth, the sweetness of the sugar helping to calm her nerves. Whether it was caffeinated or not, she definitely felt a lot more alert and confident. Confident enough to not care if people were zombies? Nope. The red blood everyone was producing definitely helped with that though. The green haired girl definitely was insane and Vinnie was trying her hardest not to look at her or her pet eyeball. Manny so far had to be her favorite person there - mostly since he seemed to know everything about keeping them alive and not dead.

"Doc's got a point," Vinnie chimed in. "This entire situation is completely messed up. We have no idea what was done for us - since we're in space, maybe we were abducted and they left behind crop circles and we're going to be probed!" She had a brief image of all of them in some sort of conspiracy, alien truther talk show. But armed with the sugary courage of her chugged soda, Vinnie half walked, half dashed over to the machine and ordered herself a steak. She yelped slightly as she cut herself with the knife, bleeding red blood.

"Hey, uh, doc... Is it unsanitary if I still eat this steak? It's my blood so I can't be hurt by it, right?" Vinnie asked. The steak smelled heavenly. She popped her bleeding finger into her mouth out of pure habit, sucking on it to try to stop the bleeding.

"Guess I'm last," Raynor said, ordering a steak and pricking his finger with the knife. He bled red as well. He used his other hand to press down on the cut to stop the blood flow, his eyes narrowing as he saw the post card. He wasn't sure what it meant. If the android had been there longer than everyone else... What was the point in that? Why have a robot stay in the space station longer than the humans? "We should search all the rooms. Maybe we'll find more clues. Split up into pairs, just in case."

"I call Sophia!" Vinnie blurted. She was still suspicious of the ginger for knowing that they were in space, but at the same time, Sophia had bought her temporary love and admiration with the soda. There was something familiar about her as well.
