"You have a medical degree, Sapphire, as you're so fucking fond of reminding people," Watts snapped at her. He was on edge. His normal frustration with everyone around him on a one to ten scale was usually described as a seven. He was right now at twenty two. Andrew was his responsibility and he was babbling nonsense, sounding like a concussed toddler trying to repeat whatever Dora the Explorer had just said on the TV. "But if you can't handle looking after Andrew, then FINE, I'LL DO IT MYSELF!" Watts screamed. His left eye kept on twitching as he slammed down on the watch on his wrist, injecting his body with more of the speed serum. His veins felt like fire.
Arthur let out a muffled half scream, half grunt as he took a round to the stomach. The world seemed to slow down as a bullet was heading right for his face. His only regret was that he hadn't had the chance to avenge his father. And then, suddenly, a wall of ice formed in front of him, saving his life. "...Thank you... I owe you a life debt," he told Sapphire, shocked and stunned. She didn't know him. They had really just met in the grand scheme of things and she had saved his life. It had been ages since someone showed him any kindness. His heart quickened slightly although he didn't know why as he stared, shocked, at the ice goddess.
There were still more stormtroopers in the hallway - discussions of keeping on moving were a bit premature. Seven were left alive. That was a mistake. His eyes glowing a menacing red, Watts rushed forward faster than the eye could see. His hands vibrated and oscillated as he reached into the chest of one of the guards and yanked out his heart, crushing it and then dropping the bloody mess onto the ground. He repeated this five more times, eliminating all but one of the guards that remained. The bloodlust in his eyes was palpable. Watts was exacting revenge on behalf of everyone he cared about who had been hurt by Mojo.
Arthur blinked and six of the guards were dead on the ground. He had his bow at the ready so it didn't take him too long to notch an arrow and let it fly, piercing the heart of the last guard and killing them instantly. None of the stormtroopers remained - just a bloodied field of corpses in the hallway. He notched three more arrows, prepared for the next wave of attackers. His eyes flickered over to Sapphire for a moment, before Arthur chastised himself and moved onwards, hoping that around the bend would either be the exit - or the Sisterhood, so he could finally slay them and put his father's ghost to rest.
The Hub - San Fransisco: February 14th, 2021 - 11:30 A.M.
Dominika Novikova
Location: the Hangar Skills: N/A
"Yeah, easy, we have a groupchat - Iron Man likes to send pictures of his afternoon bagels," Novikova deadpanned. Of course, she was a part of the West Coast Avengers - more or less the back up dancers to the core Avengers out in New York City. She actually preferred the West Coast group. She got to work with Dr. Pym and she didn't have to work with the Hulk - something that seemed like a recipe for a workplace disaster. Tony Stark's ego would have gotten infuriating after a while anyways. "I'll see what we can do," she then said more seriously.
She pulled out her phone and went into one of the group chats - the one just for the West Coast Avengers, not all of the Avengers regardless of the specific team. Need to evacuate San Fran. Black Order + Thanos may attack after Cardiff. Her name in the group chat was her superhero identity - Black Quartz. Novikova wasn't particularly big on calling. Ant Man (Scott Lang) sent a thumbs up emoji. Spider-Gwen sent a gif. The Wasp (Janet van Dyne) gave everyone in the chat instructions on how to evacuate the city most efficiently. The Scarlet Witch - perhaps showing her age - sent a gif as well, since she was currently under quarantine for M-Pox... the same quarantine Novikova had broken. Captain Marvel sent a quick selfie of herself in Cardiff fighting alongside the extremely injured Captain Britain - she wouldn't be able to help evacuate San Fransisco.
"Kay, the team's on it," Novikova informed Cass.
Strange was casting a complicated looking spell on a piece of paper, on which he had written down the plan. There was then a flash of smoke and the paper was gone. "Your message has been sent to Attilan," Strange told Cass. He was a bit irritated that texting hadn't been an option, even though it meant he got to show off some more with his magical skills.
Novikova smirked slightly at her wife. She put an arm around her, the protective suits they were wearing making it so they didn't need to worry too much about skin-to-skin contact. "You'd be a wonderful Avenger - though Hawkeye might not want you on the New York team. He's got a monopoly on bows and arrows."
Bonnie Chase
Location: the Hangar Skills: N/A
"Actually, I'll need Sparky's help with the LMD," Bonnie told Cass. While she had gone to Sci-Tech, her specialization had always been more in terms of anatomy and biochemistry. She was decent when it came to medicine due to having lots of experience in the field, yet Bonnie never was really into robotics. Tempest and Oliver were both computer geeks, but even they likely didn't know how to program the LMD and ensure that it properly mapped the characteristics of the template. Sparky was the robotics expert of the group, having been admitted to SHIELD as a cadet due to her PhD in electrical engineering. "It'd take the rest of us hours to program the LMD - although..."
Bonnie walked up to Oliver. "I know we'll need a DNA sample," she explained. If he hadn't been in the protective suit, she would have just plucked a few hairs from his head and called it good. It then occurred to her that Sparky might need him physically present for the LMD to scan in addition to the DNA sample. DNA didn't give an individual's exact height and weight after all. "So you'll need to come with Sparky and me to the robotics lab," Bonnie concluded.
She blushed slightly, noticing that Flynn was smiling at her. It was Valentine's Day - even though everything that had happened so far was thoroughly unromantic. Maybe he had some sort of sweet gesture planned for later... It had been ages since she celebrated Valentine's Day with someone. Last year at this time, she had rented the Perks of Being a Wallflower and cried into a tub of Ben and Jerry's, mourning her late husband.

"It's the closest thing to a genuine grimoire that we'll ever see, I think we should at least study it a bit. We can then burn it and chuck it in a river or something afterwards if it scares you," Megan told her brother. She figured that Maleficent likely would have some way to track them anyways - she had come this far already after all. The book was like Pandora's Box and she just had to look on through it. There could be scientific advances tucked away inside of its pages and as an avid horror fan, Megan was really curious to see how a legit demon summoning could be performed. She darted into the stairwell with the others, not wanting to see who was coming out of the elevator. She half suspected it to be Jack's evil biological father.
"Let's go, shall we?" Megan prompted the others. She then climbed quietly down the staircase, careful to not make too much noise. The lobby appeared to be empty aside from a few residents - no one was dressed like Ursula from the Little Mermaid or anything like that. She walked out of the lobby calmly, as if they hadn't just stolen from a witch, and she got into her car, getting the engine going as she waited for her brother to join her.
Location: Hotel Valhalla - Floor Five Skills: Staff Fighting
Runa wasn't usually a jumpy person - but then again, seeing a girl with burning flames in her eye sockets was not a typical affair. She screamed and her reflexes took over. There was a magic staff in her hands and she whacked Elizabeth across the side of the head, knocking the child of Loki unconscious. It took her a few seconds to really comprehend what had happened. Her heart was beating furiously as she stared at Elizabeth, her former foe crumpled on the floor. "Elizabeth... Flame...?" Runa repeated, staring at Nadia. "English names are so weird," she then murmured. She was white knuckling her staff, ready to whack anything else that jumped out at her.
She turned pink at Klara's compliments. "I, uh, took karate lessons," Runa explained. "Everyone in my family does for... well, I guess it's kinda obvious." She felt a bit uncomfortable at sharing that, even though she figured that neither Nadia or Klara would tease her for it. They seemed to be nice and kind, unlike the bullies at her school who would mock her nonstop, usually shouting Karate Kid quotes at her. "...So how can I pay for this? Is there like a credit system?" she asked, referring to her staff.

Dr. Watts' hair had a lot more grey in it than the last time he had seen Sapphire. The abuse of the speed serum had taken its toll on his body. "I don't have a working serum at the moment," he admitted bitterly. He was a very proud and vain man - the fact that he hadn't been able to fix his serum to be safe for him to use again annoyed him to no end.
"I can help," a voice popped up. A young girl in a jean jacket stepped out from back stage, standing next to Dr. Watts. She had his same calculating blue eyes. The sirens in the auditorium were blaring and everyone was rushing to get out, with all of the panelists already having joined the rush to evacuate. None of them were present to see as the girl let out a breath and suddenly, rainbows were dancing all over her body as she floated up gently into the air.
"Leda, no!" Watts snapped. "It's too dangerous here in D.C.! Damn it! LEDA GET BACK HERE OR YOU'LL BE GROUNDED UNTIL THE SUN SWALLOWS THE EARTH!" His threats didn't do anything though - Princess Rainbow Unicorn had flown above the heads of the crowd and shot out into the street to save the day. "She's only seventeen, god fucking damn it!" Watts screamed. He punched the table in front of him and then threw the chair aside. "Get us out there now!" He was looking at Sapphire, knowing that with an ice slide she could easily get them out there in time before Leda got hurt.
"Come on, let's see if we can help," Veil told her companions. She got up from her seat and headed out of the auditorium, through the lobby - she did snatch a can of soda and shoved it into her pockets for Sunshine - and then out into the street. Havok followed her, grumbling, "Since when are we firefighters too?"
Now that they were outside and Veil could get a good look at what was going on, this wasn't about a fire at all. "Does that look like a fire to you, Havok?" she asked him bluntly. She made force fields like stepping stones in the air, jumping from field to field as she soared over the heads of those fleeing. Veil then dropped to the ground right in front of the young blue-green haired girl, throwing up a force field in front of them just as Stabberson threw his knife at Zarina. "Kid, run!"
"YeS iT ToTalLY lOOkS liKE a FIre!" Havok mocked. He weaved his way through the surging crowd, though fortunately no one besides Zarina and the police were out in the street (and Stabberson, of course) so it made it easier. He rocked his hips and a gigantic blast of red energy went off, slamming into Stabberson and knocking him backwards.
"Havok, now is not the time!" Veil snapped. Stabberson had rolled back up from his fall and was on his feet again. His strange blue knives were back in his hands, but he wasn't stupid. There were too many people there. He also figured with the outright display of mutant powers, the police would kill the mutants for him, so he turned and began to run, fleeing the scene.
A girl then soared out from the auditorium, glowing with rainbow light. She was flying after Stabberson, trying to catch him when a gun fired. She fell to the ground, clutching her chest in shock, blood pooling. The police hadn't been the only ones to notice the alarms and emergency sirens. Purifiers were on the scene. Three of them rushed over to Leda, tying her hands behind her back with zipties as she struggled and tried to break free. She couldn't summon a rainbow glow.
The police didn't care that purifiers were there shooting teenage girls. They turned their guns on Havok, hitting him thrice with their bullets, although they didn't hit anything fatal. One bullet went into his thigh, two of them grazed his arms. "I knew I hated college for a reason!" Havok shouted.
It was complete and utter chaos - police, purifiers, civilians, and mutants. The perfect cover for Stabberson to slip away.
"He's not a people though - he's just Casper," Sunshine pointed out to her father. She didn't like Casper. He was weird, stupid, and probably just minutes away from relapsing. It was mostly his drug abuse that bothered her. She had seen friends on the streets start using and they were never the same again. A few of them had died because of their addictions - others had gotten reckless and ended up being arrested, sentences to mutant super-max or worse. "Also, Hufflepuff, you sound stupid right now. Might want to work on that."
"Hey, I am a person!" Casper protested. He was grinning a bit eagerly though at James' mention of a guy in uniform. "We haven't missed out anything babes - we just need to make a stop by the GoodWill on the way back... I bet they have a uniform in your size." He couldn't help but be excited at the thought of James dressed up in a uniform - would he be a cop? No, James was more of an EMT sort of personality. The cop thing was probably too close for comfort to everything that had happened with Wanda's world.
The fire escape plan was posted next to the door - it clearly labeled all of the possible exits. In fact, the back room had an emergency exit inside of it. There were also windows marked everywhere and the plan gave the general street layout. It wouldn't have been the first time that the clinic's patients had needed to use the plan in order to bolt.
Casper winced, holding a hand to his head as he tried to stave off the headache. "The toy soldier or the soldier who put it up there?" he asked Max innocently. He refused to look over at Max though, keeping his attention focused on James. There was the flickering form of Waverley's mother hovering over Max and Casper didn't want to speak to the ghost. The dead cop was covered in her own blood and she (understandably) was enraged that her murderer was living with her daughter. Casper much preferred Ben's company - or even the purifier that tended to float around near his brother from time to time. Casper was pretty talented at tuning out anti-mutant hate speech. "Sorry, my ghost best friend position has been filled - also..." Casper trailed off. He had been about to tell Max that they weren't really friends, but he thought better of it and shut his mouth.
Sunshine, however, sensed an opportunity to insult Max. She wasn't happy at all that he had joined the Mutant Underground. She never liked him, especially after he abandoned the Morlocks - and then again abandoned the Mutant Underground to join forces with a group of Nazis. "Why would Casper want to torture himself by talking to you, idiot?" Sunshine asked. "Casper's dumb but he's not that dumb."
"She does have a point," Ben chimed in. "Casper, would you mind opening up a magazine or something to the puzzle section? I'm bored. Listening to Glimpse be loony is fun and all, but it's getting old."
Casper nodded, plucking one of the magazines off of the wall - Teen Vogue. He flipped to the article about boys, bullies, and Ariana Grande's breakout. "Remember when she was on Victorious, Ben? I always said she was way more fun than Tori," Casper commented. Ben went and hovered over him, reading the article.
"Honestly, Tori was so boring..." Ben agreed.
The door of the back room swung open, revealing Doctor Chan. She was dressed in a white coat, blue scrubs, and she had an N-95 mask on. Her hair was pulled back with a neon pink scrunchie and she had pink latex gloves on. "Alright Casper, what do I need to pull out of where this time?" Chan asked. "... Linda didn't mention you brought friends. I'm not judging, but I'm judging. Some of these girls are waaay too young for your bullshit orgies."
"He should be so lucky as to have sex with me," Magik deadpanned, before lurching forward and vomiting all over the floor. Doctor Chan took a step backwards, that way the puddle of vomit wouldn't get on her shoes. They were LL Bean boots and looked to be fairly new. They had hardly any scuff marks on them.
"They have M-Pox. Can you cure them?" Sunshine asked bluntly. The sooner the doctor treated her family, the sooner they could leave and get back to the safety of the Underground. She didn't trust Doctor Chan, but she also knew if they did nothing, her family would die from this disease. Sunshine had never been able to manipulate a disease she hadn't caused and James' powers didn't seem to do much.
"Oh," Doctor Chan said, looking at them with sympathy. "I don't have a cure, but I have the next best thing. Steroids. I'll get you all topical steroids, just smear them on the splotches on your skin, it'll clear that up."
"We are vomiting blood and some cannot walk," Magik pointed out.
"I can give you antiemetics for the vomiting and nausea - and the good stuff for the pain, except Casper can't have those," Chan explained. "I'll be back in a hot sec. Try not to die, okay?"
"No promises."
Chan then hurried out of the room to go grab all of the medication she could - it would all be for treating their symptoms. She didn't have anything to fix the underlying problem. Even though S.H.I.E.L.D. claimed to have a cure in progress, they hadn't told the medical community any details about it. They didn't even know what was causing M-Pox in mutants or how it was attacking the body.
"Awww, I want the good stuff..." Casper pouted, turning the page of the magazine for Ben.
"I have no idea if I've ever killed someone before," Vinnie admitted. "But if it's kill or be killed... I guess I could do it as long as it isn't too gross? Like is there a way to just calmly kill someone with a button with your eyes closed, so you don't know? Like Schrodinger's Murder - they're simultaneously dead and alive until you open up your eyes?" Vinnie rambled. The thought of killing someone did send goosebumps up and down her arm. It wasn't from a moral objection to killing, it was more of because every murder she could picture involved blood spraying everywhere and zombies coming back to life with rotting flesh to feast upon the humans left alive.
"Kill or be killed, it's practical," Raynor agreed with Cal. He wasn't squeamish like Vinnie. In fact, he felt calm and steady at the thought of killing other people. He didn't have to think twice about it or think over the morals involved. To use an Avatar metaphor - he fell far closer to Kyoshi than he did Aang when it came to using violence.
"What do you mean, time?" Vinnie blurted. Her heart started pounding and she didn't want to connect those dots. "They got us all the way out here and we aren't crazy old or mummies, so they should be able to get us back, r-right?" It made sense to her. Whoever brought them here must have had some sort of wormhole warping sort of technology, some form of teleportation. All they needed to do was find it and use it to get back to Earth. They were from Earth, right? Vinnie was pretty certain they were, even though the only thing she knew about herself was her name. "We're the good guys, every story has the good guys win - so we're going to get back home and it'll be fine and we'll just have to make flashcards with the names of the people who love us and stuff, but you know that'll be easy after all of this!"
She felt like she was about to cry as she followed after Sophia to the atrium. She peered over Sophia's shoulder, trying to see what she had gotten interested in. "WE NEED A SCREWDRIVER OVER HERE!" Vinnie shouted, figuring her voice was naturally louder than Sophia's and someone else might hear her.
Back in the galley, Raynor didn't hear a sound. "Come on, kid, let's grab your things and head on out, see what we can find," he prompted Zarina. "Maybe that robot will come in handy. Could use it to bash in someone's brains."
This isn't easy for me to do. I'm a very prideful person and this is the first RP since 2016 of mine that I have had to pull the plug on. All the others are either ongoing or have come to completion. Yet as I went to write the update tonight, I felt sick. I grew up on Harry Potter - I basically learned to read from it - but the transphobia and racism demonstrated by JKR is just too much. It feels like if we continued this RP, it would basically be saying that the hateful and hurtful things she has been posted is okay - which it isn't.
I've decided to end this RP.
To give everyone a sense of closure, here is how things were going to pan out in each part
Book One - the Alchemist's Quest:
This book is heavily influenced by the Sorcerer's Stone. Dumbledore's friend, an Egyptian Alchemist, is worried that the new branch of the Death Eaters called the Basilisk Guild are going to raid his ancestral tomb. The Alchemist believes that they are after panacea - the cure for everything, even death.
Dumbledore sends the Scamander Society to Egypt, instructing them to go through the tomb and retrieve the panacea before the Basilisk Guild can. Each member is given a pendant necklace with the symbol of the Egyptian God their zodiac sign corresponds to. The tomb is filled with various creatures from Egyptian Mythology and is divided into three pathways: the path of Duat (magic and the dead), the path of the Nile (earth and life) and the path of the Sky. They were going to be divided into three trios: Paige, Zelda, and Artemis - Elizabeth, Mary, and Fae - Georgina, Madalyne, and Apollo.
After they retrieved the panacea, they would return to Hogwarts for the Celestial Ball. This was going to be largely cute and fun, until a werewolf is spotted on the Hogwarts Grounds. The group would have had to fight the werewolf and eventually realize it is Chiara Lobasca, the young Hufflepuff. (That is why she was afraid on the train when Fae was going off about dark wizards - Chiara was scared Fae would kill her if she knew she was a werewolf).
The Ancient Runes professor would then be revealed to be under the Imperius Curse and working for Chimera. The Scamander Society fights her, but learns that the Basilisk Guild wasn't after the panacea after all - they were looking for the Book of the Dead.
Also, everyone was going to have a funny curse from the tomb. Fae was going to turn into a bird-human hybrid, Apollo and Artemis were going to become fish people, Paige was going to have Medusa hair, etc etc.
Book Two: the Dark Arts
This was going to occur during the winter holidays. The group was going to be stranded at Hogwarts and hunted by some demon thing. It was heavily inspired by the Demon Bear Saga of the New Mutants. They would have eventually realized that it was a manipulation by Chimera, as Penny Haywood would be abducted for some sort of cult ritual. The book ends on that somber realization and Chimera is revealed to be Lyra Burke, the auror from the train.
Book Three: the Gates of the Underworld
In an effort to save Penny Haywood, the group pursues the Basilisk Guild. They learn that the Basilisk Guild means to control the boundary between life and death via the Book of the Dead they acquired - with it, they could bring anyone they wanted back to life and resurrect Grindewald to begin a new age. What's better than immortality after all? Being able to choose who else can be immortal. The group would have traveled through the Egyptian Afterlife. Some of them would have died.

Rebecca nodded slightly as Jason spoke. She didn't really know what to say in defense of her mother, but then again, her mother didn't need her to defend her. Just like any other god, Hecate had multiple sides to her, varying aspects that governed her decisions. Andy and Arthur reentering the galley saved her from having to continue the conversation with Jason anyways. She opened her mouth, about to ask Arthur if he wanted to begin his necromancy lessons now, but she then closed it again. It wasn't the right time. Arthur and Andy were clearly grieving, with two of the demigods they had come to Camp Half-blood with dead.
"Blessed be, Arthur, Andy," Rebecca greeted softly. "How can I help you?" she then asked plainly. She didn't know what would provide them comfort. Everyone grieved differently. Maybe they would want to hear stories of Greek Mythology, maybe Arthur would ask if it was possible to raise the dead permanently, maybe they would want to continue to learn to manipulate the Mist. Maybe they would just want to play a game and pretend they were normal kids for a while, although normal was an impossibility now. Their lives had changed permanently, for better or for worse.
She paused for a moment. "Did you know that in toddlers, their adult teeth are right underneath their eyes?"
🌈 Leda Storm 🌈
Location: Argo III - Third Deck / Engineering Skills: Rainbow Manipulation
Leda was pushed backwards by the roaring wave of water, completely soaked. Her blonde hair looked almost brown from the water it had absorbed. Her clothes were clinging to her skin and her shoes had filled up with water. Her feet felt like a spongey, mossy mess. She tried not to focus on that sensation too much, instead paying attention to the fight. She grabbed her sword as Kiera shoved it over towards her, standing back up to her feet. "I don't think I'm the only one who's wet," Leda said coyly.
She then held out her hand. Her skin started to glow various shades of the rainbow and sparkle like a Twilight Vampire. She shot off a beam of light at Kiera, missing at first. "That one was a warning shot," she said, giggling. "This one's for real," she then added. She let off another shot, this time hitting the daughter of Poseidon and blasting her backwards. "Happy Pride Month, by the way." Even though June belonged to Hera, one of the nastier gods, it was also Pride Month and Leda was determined to enjoy it. Her mother after all was pretty much about as queer as a goddess could get, flying around and creating rainbows and pissing off homophobes across the world. It was a shame that not a lot of people knew about Iris.
☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️
Location: New Rome - the Augury -> Coffee Shop Skills: N/A
"If we run into Leandra again today, I'm going to need an icepick lobotomy," Nancy complained. She couldn't stand the daughter of Cupid. Nancy knew that Leandra was jealous of her for being made praetor and likely believed that Nancy didn't have to work for a single thing in her life - even when it was the exact opposite. Her struggles and her accomplishments were her own - the only help her father had ever given her was the letter of recommendation for Camp Jupiter. Everything else she had to fight for - every bit of power she had to earn.
It wasn't that long of a walk from the Augury to the Coffee Shop. Nancy could walk the route to the shop blindfolded practically at this point, she went there so often. She usually went before and after Senate Meetings, first thing in the morning, right before dinner, after dinner... It was entirely possible that a significant portion of the profits came directly from Nancy's patronage. She didn't really have anything else to spend money on though. Meals for the Legion were provided, she had a bed to sleep in, and she wasn't really big on the new mortal tech and consumables. "I can pay," Nancy offered.
She spotted Leandra's partner, Alexia. Alexia didn't seem to be in support of the praetors or her co-centurion's actions, so Nancy was fine with her. Emily always put her on edge, as she was the child of Bacchus - one of Nancy's least favorite Roman gods. She got in line and once it was her turn up at the counter, she placed her order with Marco. She didn't know him outside of his function as an amazing barista. "I'll have a venti iced caramel mocha with three extra shots of caffeine and three extra pumps of caramel, please," Nancy recited. "And then, whatever Madalyne and Niah want," she added, gesturing at her companions. Nancy reached into her wallet and pulled out enough Denarius to pay for them all, plus a tip.
Most of the X-Men rallied behind her - and if Guin hadn't been focused on getting rid of Pietro's abuser, she might have remarked they had so many girls on the team it really should have been the X-Women at this point. Most everyone was showing quiet but strong support, with Iris yelling profanities at Magneto without knowing that was who she was challenging. She liked Iris even more for that. So many people on the X-Men tried to be polite and proper all the time - it was nice to hear someone else calling Magneto a cunt for a change. "Were you invited, you shit for brain? No! I didn't invite you and I sure as hell doubt that Pietro did. You're an abusive asshole and you have no right to be here, so if you won't leave, I'll make you do it myself, you fucking bastard!" Guin screamed.
She charged at Magneto, trying to kick him in the groin but she missed. She didn't care though. She didn't have a thought out plan or strategy here - she didn't even think about how stupid it was to rush the Master of Magnetism in a wedding dress with just a glass shard for a weapon. Guin swung wildly at Magneto, cutting him in the face with the glass. She then raised her foot and kicked him in the stomach as hard as she could, knocking him backwards. "Now get the fuck out of here before I rip your spine out through your eye socket!"
Neil Spellman
Location: the Reception Skills: Perception, Telekinesis
Neil got up from the table slowly, placing his cards face down. He didn't want to let the others see what he had in his hand, on the off chance this was a huge false alarm and it wasn't Magneto there - maybe it was just a Magneto impersonator or something playing a prank? His heart sank as Lance sent a ball of light out to illuminate the shadowy foe. Neil hadn't seen Magneto before in person - he had just heard descriptions of him. The cape and the helmet, both were real. The helmet casted the man's face in shadow, making it hard for Neil to get a read on him, to figure out if Magneto was actually here to try to make amends with his children.
At least he didn't seem to be trying to kill the bride?
Neil didn't really know what to do. His heart was beating rapidly. Magneto was THE foe for the X-Men. He panicked, remembering that the helmet kept telepaths from stopping him. Using his telekinesis, Neil flicked the helmet off of Magneto's head, only for the helmet to drift back down and stay there. It gave him a sickening feeling of deja vu with the entire Silver Surfer and the surfboard thing. Why couldn't they have a villain who couldn't summon their key item back to them? Was that too much to ask for?
Both her fellow demigods had already gotten seriously injured - Zeke had some broken bones, whereas blood was staining Kristin's shirt. Leda's legs felt like molten lead from running with two people so fast, but she couldn't afford to stop. She pulled on her necklace and it transformed into her Celestial Bronze sword, Ultraviolet - the blade was glowing a fierce protective red. She wasn't about to let Kristin and Zeke die, no matter how annoying they were. She wasn't going to ditch them to die here and claim all of the glory for herself. That was something the children of Ares might have done.
"Hey, bull, you fucking suck!!" Leda shouted. It was an unconventional battle cry. She ran straight at the bull, her sword in front of her like a spear. At the last second, she dodged to the side and swung her blade. Either luck or the gods guided her blade as Leda's sword slid through a chink in the bull's armor, allowing the Celestial Bronze blade to skewer the monster. The bull burst into monster dust, raining down like confetti and covered Leda. She looked like she had been sprayed by a woodchipper. "Are you two idiots okay?" she asked, breathing heavily.
