@Sep would you rather i posted first as America or something before your post? Wasn't sure if you were waiting on me? If so, I can try to get something up tomorrow? Unless you'd rather just wrap it up sooner! :P
In the mean time, I'm going quickly finish updating my sheets!
At least this time it wasn’t an abandoned warehouse that the Bug-Eyed Bandit had made her lair. Instead, it would seem that Brie Larvan was sticking to her bug theme, due to Raz having located her to Ivy University’s old abandoned botanical gardens. Personally Ant-Man was just happy to finally get some originality from his villains for once. Sure this place also ticked the “Abandoned” box on every super-villain realtor’s list of possible venues, but at least it wasn’t another warehouse! Scott was sick of those places. Just once he wanted to go against a guy with an island volcano lair!
From what the Justice League’s scanners had detected, the Bug-Eyed Bandit had set up a similar system within the garden’s interior similar to that of his father’s headquarters. However they detected that the security had greatly improved this time around. There would be no chance of Scott heading in through the ceiling like last time.
Instead, Ant-Man sent his ants into action.
He led them towards the grand glass building ant-sized, riding atop the back of one of his Carpenters. The swarm of ants stuck close to the ground in a bid to not appear noticeable as they circled the gardens, Scott peering intently around the facility as he did so. For a place such as a botanical garden, the place really did have a lot of cameras. Even while trying to keep his distance Scott could easily tell that the things had only been recently installed. Hovering gently near a broken pane gave him a chance to peer inside properly. Unfortunately there wasn’t much to see from this spot, given the mass of plant life within, however between the leaves he could make out what appeared to be a set of recently installed generators.
It was the cloud of metallic grey floating around the top of the garden’s glass dome ceiling that caught Scott’s attention though. The Bandit’s robotic insects jittered about loudly amongst themselves. There was certainly a lot more than there had been at the warehouse.
He let out a resounding groan to no one in particular.
“Shit…”
“You know, you could always get the Atom to help.”
Raz’s comment caused Scott to stop right in his tracks, where he paused momentarily, before letting out a short laugh.
“Get real Raz!” Scott replied coolly, as he began to steer his ride away from the building and back towards his armada of ants. “Palmer’s a total arse!”
At once, Scott waved his arm to beckon his ants to follow him before darting forward. As he moved, the miniature hero began pointing with his arms towards the glass dome, particularly towards the primary metal framework between the glass panes. Simultaneously to his pointing, a swarm of red began to rise from the ground onto the structure. As the crazy ants scurried up the botanical garden’s framework, Scott’s ear was met with Raz’s voice once more.
“Sounds like someone is jealous!” He teased, emitting a short laugh of his own.
“Jealous?” Underneath his helmet Scott scrunched up his face in frustration. “Why would I be jealous of that idiot?”
“Maybe because that idiot is actually smarter than you? Better looking too actually, now that I think about it. And probably richer.”
As the technician spoke, Scott had managed to do a full loop around the gardens, his crazy ants having covered the majority of the facility’s framework, leaving patches of red everywhere. Happy with their positioning, Scott came to a stop, not before rising into the air slightly to get a better look at his workers.
“That may be, but the guy’s got a villain named the Bug-Eyed Bandit!” Scott argued, gesturing towards the building.
“Isn’t she technically your villain too now?” Raz argued, only for Scott to cut him off instantly.
“Whatever the case, I don’t need his help. I’m the Ant-Man, and I’m going to take the Bug-Eyed Bandit down, indepedANTly!” He chuckled at his own thrilling joke for a second, before raising a small detonator up into the air with his right hand.
“Let’s do this thing!” He cried, slamming his finger on the trigger.
For season 2, I would like everyone to add two things to the character sheets (updated CS below). I added a separate line for the character's alias and a section for what the character has done in season 1. You do not need to fill that latter out if the character has not appeared in the IC during season 1.
Character Sheet template:
<Snipped quote>
Edit: Also, I think I might throw an interest check up for season 2 today or tomorrow. What does everyone else thing?
Yeah I'm cool with that! Was starting to make some edits to my CS's anyway!
Although, would it be a good idea for season 1 players to say what has happened between season 1 and 2? Like any minor/major events?
@Natty Did you honestly take a name directly from celebrity? @_@ Its gonna be so hard to take him seriusly.
Shit! I knew the name sounded familiar when i was writing! Blaming this on me being british :P I'll probably change up the name when i next have time to work on it!
@nitemare shape@dedonus@hound55 Thought i'd post what i've got so far for you guys to look at! Rather not make a start on the sample post if there was any issues with the rest of it! Also I did post this here a while ago, although i wasn't sure if you'd seen it or not, so apologies if you did!
Character you have created: Gabriela "Gabi" Rivero
Alias: Chaac, Crazy Axe Lady
Speech Color: Plum
Character Alignment: Hero
Identity: Secret
Character Personality: Fundamentally, Gabi constantly strives to do good, despite the cost. She comes across as tough and aggressive, although unbeknownst to most, this is merely her attempting to disguise the pain of losing her family. This pain also comes in the form of her constantly questioning and arguing with Chaac, whom she knows is watching over her, all because she blames him for the death of her father during Tropical Storm Agatha.
She has a tough time making friends, but the relationships she does develop end up being extremely loyal and strong.

Origin Info/Details:
Many years ago, the Pantheon of Mayan Gods was alive with the same fire and power as that of the Olympians.
One such member was Chaac; the God of Rain and Thunder. During the earliest days of mankind, people starved beneath the beating heat of the sun. That was until Chaac discovered a golden boulder deep within the mountains, and after breaking it in two with his mighty axe, he found maize, the crop that would change the Mayan people forever. Chaac was worshipped for bringing Maize to the world, however this soon went to his head. He began an affair with the wife of the Sun God, Kinich Ahau, his brother. After the affair’s discovery, in an act of regret, Chaac struck the sky with his axe, releasing his tears of regret in the form of rain. Since then, Chaac turned his attention solely on helping mankind.
Even after the fall of the Mayan Civilization, the Mayan Gods lived on. In an attempt to keep their efforts alive, every 100 years, one God would select a Champion on Earth to represent them and their passion. Now, it was time for the God of Rain, to select a champion.
And that champion was Gabriela Rivero.
Gabi was born and raised in Guatemala City to a loving mother and father. Her family were fairly well off, with her father working as a professor at the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, an expert on Mayan Mythology. Because of this, Gabi often found herself falling asleep to the stories of the Mayan Gods. This was soon to change however when due to lack of funding, her father was fired from his job. With no income, the family found themselves in a dire situation, being push from their cushy life and into one of poverty. On top of this her mother soon grew ill. Without any money, they could only watch as her condition worsened, until after a few heartbreaking months, the inevitable happened.
Just as Gabi was beginning to find her place in the world after the loss of her mother, Tropical Storm Agatha struck the city. During the storm, the sewage system collapsed, creating a large sinkhole that completely swallowed Gabi’s entire street. Fortunately beforehand Gabi had made it out. However the same couldn’t be said for her father. After evacuating, Gabi discovered that they had forgotten to bring the last remaining photograph that they owned of her mother. Not wishing to see his daughter as distressed as she was, her father went back in order to retrieve it. A mere minute more and he would have made it back.
Heartbroken, Gabriela found herself alone and broken.
After a while of working practically every hour of the day and only barely managing to scrape by, Gabi joined an illegal logging expedition, hoping to make some decent money for once. All the while she kept her head down, avoiding the armed guards who had been hired to keep away the authorities. It had only been a month when while deep in the jungles, the guards were finally put to good use. During the gun fight, Gabi attempted to make some sort of escape, sprinting into the woods.
She soon came across a humungous valley cutting deep into the forest. The pure sight of it was breath-taking, compelling Gabi, lumber axe still in hand, to explore it further. As she made her way to the bottom, she soon laid eyes upon something she recognised from her late father’s bedtime stories; a Mayan Temple. A voice in her head told her to enter, and so she did. Inside was something that surprised her even further; a golden boulder. As soon as she saw it, she knew exactly what to do. Taking her lumber axe, she raised it above her head and with a powerful swing broke the rock in two.
At once the temple door’s slam shut, thunder echoing loudly. The skies darkened, filled with clouds. And then it began to rain. The water poured in through the temple’s skylight, flooding the room unnaturally fast. Trapped, Gabi began to panic. She was going to drown. As she tried her best to escape, that same voice from before spoke to her. She let the water engulph her as she now knew. She was to be Chaac’s champion. The waters empowered her, making her stronger. Wiser. Then as quickly as the room had filled, it emptied, the water draining away into nothingness and the door sliding open as if nothing had happened. But something had happened.
Gabi, now blessed by Chaac, instantly sought to put her newfound abilities to good use. With her axe in hand, she returned to Guatemala City, intent on bringing justice to the criminals that plagued her home. And as expected of the Mayan Champions, she took on the name of her creator, becoming Chaac.
After stopping a group of crooks who had been trying to escape in a getaway car, Chaac soon found herself surrounded by a number of black federal looking SUVs. Such a sight was all too rare in Guatemala City. It was then that she found himself introduced to a British man named Stephen Colbert. It was here that she learnt that one of her newfound abilities was being able to speak and understand any language she heard. Colbert revealed that he had become extremely interested in Chaac ever since he had seen her introduction to the world on the news. He informed her that his company, Colbert International, was aiming to partner with younger and newer heroes in an effort to assist them with their heroics financially and politically. He invited Chaac to join, although before the young hero could, she realized that the men that had surrounded her were all armed. As she began to decline, she found them all aimed at her. Before they could open fire or capture her however, a magical door seemed to appear infront of her; revealing a number fellow teenage superheroes. After fending off Colbert’s men, Gabi left with them through the door, strangely finding herself inside an empty diner.
Here the three teenagers introduced themselves; their leader was Adam Pullen, a young man whose energy manipulating abilities seemed to be controlled by his confidence. As such he referred to himself as Kid Awesome. Next came Mason Shaw, the team’s technopath and resident IT guy. He was Gizmo. Finally was Maisie Andrews, apparently one of the many granddaughters of the legendary Baba Yaga. The "diner" belonged to her, with her having accidentally sent the building to a pocket dimension of her creation, with the door being able to open anywhere on Earth.
The group revealed that instead of partnering up with young superheroes, Colbert had been in fact capturing and experimenting on them. The team had been formed after he had attempted to capture them. Gabi agreed to join their fight against Colbert and rescue the rest of the teenagers that he had captured.
Hero Type: Mystic / Supernatural
Power Level: City Level - Potentially World Level
Powers: Gabi has been blessed by the God of Rain himself, giving her a number of abilities. These include;
Weather Manipulation:
Due to Chaac being the God of Rain, Gabi is able to manipulate the weather, calling upon rain or even thunderstorms at will.
Rain Rejuvenation:
When in contact with rain water, Gabi finds herself rejuvenated, gaining a disproportionate amount of superhuman clarity, strength, speed, agility, and endurance.
Axe of Chaac:
Possibly one of Gabi's most useful attributes is her axe. While it had originated as a simple lumber axe, after being blessed by Chaac, the Axe now resembles that of Chaac's very own weapon. Firstly, it is one of the most powerful weapons ever made, with the ability to cut through any earthly material. The weapon can also be used to help Gabi to direct her weather manipulation, much like a wand for example. However if someone else was to use the axe, it would function just like any other axe. This is because the axe's properties aren't confined to that specific axe, instead to Gabi herself. Upon picking up another random axe, that weapon would then become the Axe of Chaac, with the old one returning to just a regular blade.
Godly Metamorphosis:
As Gabi makes use of her Godly powers, her body gradually begins to take the form of Chaac himself, the change starting from her axe hand. So far at its worse, her metamorphosis hasn't spread no more than halfway up her arm, with her body haven't begun to be coated with dark blue scales, reminiscent of Chaac's.
Multilingual:
Gabi is able to instantly communicate in any earthly dialect.
Strength Level: 40 tons Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 20 mph Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 3 hours Agility: 5x Intelligence: Average Fighting Skill: Trained
Weaknesses:
Supporting Characters:
Maisie was shocked to discover her family secret that she was actually the Granddaughter of Baba Yaga, a mystical being of Slavic Folklore. Because of this, Maisie discovered that she was in fact able to tap into the Arcane Stream. While experimenting with her new found magical abilities, she created a pocket dimension, where she accidently sent the diner that she had been working in. Luckily no one else had been inside at the time. Unfortunately she found that she was unable to send it back, however upon further experimentation, she discovered that she could manipulate the diner's entrance so that it could open up anywhere in the world.
Originating from Canada and the self proclaimed leader of the group, Adam has the ability of flight, super strength, as well as energy blasts. His abilities rely on his confidence however, meaning that the more he believes in himself and what he is doing, the stronger he is, and the less susceptible to damage he becomes. This of course means that he can be an arrogant jerk.
The team's resident tech guy, Mason is a technopath. Despite his abilities however, he's more comfortable behind a computer screen rather than out in the action. Constantly struggling to find a way of setting up WIFI in the mysterious library.
Head of Colbert International, Stephen is a mysterious business man who seeks to capture and experiment on teenage superheroes, the reason for which remains unknown to the group. Colbert has offices all around the world, most noticeably in Pacific Point, Richmond and Grant City
