Dulga Tarata

Dulga was resting her eyes as she waited for the rest of her time to arrive. Thinking of a plan. Trying to imagine what she’d be facing. There were a few particular students she wanted to keep an eye out on, but she couldn’t let herself get blindsided by the others either. Not to mention she had to worry about what her own teammates could do. Mamoru was a maverick, Kaida would be holding back, and she didn’t know what Yukari was capable of. There was little time to do any sort of complex planning, at best she can try to figure out what their quirks are and use them accordingly. By the time Mamoru arrived Dulga slowly opened her eyes and handed her the team communicators.

”You’re loud.”

Shortly after Mamoru, Yukari arrived. She seemed to be a melee type too, which is going to make things a bit tough for Dulga. She knew she couldn’t expect her team to just sit with her and snipe, and she wasn’t going to trust any of them with her weapons either. Dulga scratched her head and thought about waiting for Kaida to arrive before she showed up, but Dulga may as well fill in these two about what she had in mind. First she looked to Mamoru. ”Akasha, you’re with me. You use some sort of shield right? I could use someone who could protect me from ranged attacks.” Then Dulga looked to Yukari. That’s when she realized that Yukari was blind; her eyes had that misty look. She probably had heighten senses too, and Dulga doesn’t use a suppressor. Not wanting to bust her eardrums Dulga had an idea for Yukari. ”Yozakura, you’re with Kaida. I’ll need you to be swift and clear out any of the other students from cover or other protection. Lead them somewhere open and I’ll take them down. I don’t need you to fight them by yourself, and in fact if you think you’re going to get overwhelmed run for it. Try to lead them to somewhere I can pick them off.”

Dulga stepped away from the wall and walked towards the testing grounds. ”My plan is simple. We take the high ground. I snipe students from afar. Any who are hiding, flush them out. I’ll keep moving if they’re after me. We can take the point once we’re the last ones standing.” Perhaps it was overtly simple, but Dulga wasn’t going to make the plan any more complex. If it was, it could easily break. This left it flexible for them to adapt. Granted, they may not have the high ground if the place they’re fighting at is flat. But that’ll just make things easier for Dulga. ”Keep your wits about you and don’t do anything stupid. Stick together if you can.”

This entire time Selena had just been in the background, not really getting involved but not skipping out either. She let the other more interesting students take the spotlight. But soon teams were being chosen to play football. Selena tilted her head trying to think what sort of football the teacher was talking about. She knew that in some countries football is a game where teams kick a round ball into the opposing goal, while in others they have to carry the ball to the opposing goal instead, with tackles permitted. It seemed like it was going to be the second type of football, but with a ball that Selena associates with rugby. ”Eh. Maybe people in Vale just play it differently.”

This version of football was pretty unfamiliar to Selena. She didn’t know rugby very well either, but she at least knew that you had to catch the ball and get it to the other side without getting tackled. This one though had rules for dribbling, kicking, “handballing”, and other things that she wasn’t familiar with. She hoped that the teacher was going to give them a bit of a demonstration first but she doubts that. Beacon was a bit too hardcore to hold their student’s hands like that. Suited Selena fine she supposed; better to learn through experience then boring herself to tears watching a lecture. The only problem was the odd team matchup. While most of the students were getting picked out Selena noted that she was the odd woman out. She was too busy reading up on the rules that she didn’t go to the line up. ”Well damn.”

Selena didn’t let it bother her too much however. She just came over and looked at the two teams, with herself standing in the middle. ”Guess I’ll be the ref then.” But instead it seemed like she was going to be on Trad’s team. She watched as the two captains taunted each other, and Trad even ripped his shirt off with nothing but a flex. Not one to be outdone, Selena joined in this shirts vs skins game as well, taking off her gym blazer to reveal the sports bra underneath. She joined the huddle with a devious smirk. ”The rules are a bit weird, but I think we could make it weirder. Why don’t we use our Semblances while we play? That’ll be fun.”

<Snipped quote by Norschtalen>

"I will turn you into a toad, with extra gross warts! And then stick you up an oxen's butthole so far than he would croak instead of mooing!"

"I'll cut off your fingers and pickle them with your toes. Then I'll replace them with dog feet and give you a nice pat on the head like the puppy you are."

I like her. I think Iva would have a great time straightening her out.
@NarayanK Thank you. Here's my CS.

Once the bell range class started. Yoshida was direct about what they'll be doing today which was another team battle, probably to take an objective point. He seemed to have split everyone up by certain criteria, which made Dulga really wonder how she got this ragtag group. Kaida she was fine with, but Mamoru was too much of a loose-canon for Dulga's liking and she knew nothing about Yukari. This made the girl sigh. She didn't like the role of leader, but unless Yukari was going to step up Dulga would have to make sure her team succeeded. Kaida didn't seem the type to want the spotlight and there was no way Dulga was going to let someone like Mamoru call the shots. Once Yoshida gave them the permission Dulga left to gear up in her hero costume.

Dulga's costume wasn't particularly flashy. She still wore the same cloak and mask over it as she did in her casual attire, so aside from her boots most people probably couldn't even tell she's in her hero costume. But underneath she wore was essentially tactical gear. A bullet and blade resistant breastplate, titanium shin, knee, and thigh plate armor, durable but breathable dark pants, heavy rubber combat boots, and multiple pouches, bandoleers, and holsters for her weapons. On her back hidden underneath her cloak were her two pistols, the Beretta and the Stechkin. She had also had her two rifles and held them by their fore grips, their safety on even though they weren't loaded yet. She needed to get bullets from the armory though she was also interested in receiving a few other gadgets as well.

At the armory the first thing Dulga did was get her ammo. She grabbed at least least five mags worth of 9mm rubber bullets for her beretta, and six mags of 9mm plastic bullets for her Stechkin. The plastic bullets were suppose to be "nonlethal" and bounce less, so Dulga was going to rely on her Stechkin for close quarters combat where she didn't want to risk having her rubber bullets bounce back and strike her. She made sure to get ammo for her rifles too, though for her shotgun she packed a few special bullets. Komei had some impressive gun technicians to be able to make utility 12 gauge ammo, and Dulga intended to take advantage of it. She took three smoke, three eletrostun, and three flashbang bullets. While they weren't quite as effective as their grenade variant, they could provide Dulga some utility she otherwise wouldn't have. She also carried a three tracker bullets. This way she can tag her opponents if they run away from her.

Aside from ammo Dulga also took some others things too. Ropes and wires mostly, but also a few stun grenades that Arsenal had showed them yesterday. She also grabbed handcuffs. If she has to fight anyone in hand-to-hand, she can pin them down and then keep them bound with the cuffs. She also grabbed one more thing of importance: communicators. They were small earpieces that Dulga would be using to keep in contact with her team. With the communicators were also some smartphone devices that Dulga can use to keep track of their location, as well as have an view of their battleground. These devices also doubled as stunguns, which was a nice bonus. All Dulga needed to do now was wait for the rest of her team. Once she was geared up Dulga waited near the entrance of the armory for Kaida, Yukari, and Mamoru. She needed to give them the device they'll need as well as communicate what their plan was going to be.

Looking at what you wrote previously, there actually opens a possibility that your character may actually be related to mines. Iva's mother was a witch and her father was a hunter who left before Iva was born. Perhaps the same man could have been your character's father, and while her mother may or may not be a witch, through her father's side she is related to Iva, who was born from a witch.

You can use that idea or just say she was born in Wichita. She may have heard of Iva and may be surprised to see her. While Iva IC wouldn't want to interact with her because she's trying to distance herself, I'd love the idea that there many be someone else from the same village.
@AtomicNut

Iva is actually a daughter of a witch, though in her village there isn't anything inherently evil about witches. At least no more evil than you'd get from regular human interaction. Perhaps your character even came from my village, and was one of the less haughty and arrogant witch children there?
