2) Ensure you are the legal age of 18 before you participate in any mature roleplays. The staff have and will continue to ban any users who actively choose to partake in a roleplay involving a minor.

Been a bit busy with work kicking my ass, but I'll be working on a new post soon enough.

@Mahz
When creating a new roleplay will you have to create a first post before you can access the 0th post?
@The Elvenqueen asking for a sample post always feels strange to me but I can see where you're coming from yes.

There was one time I remember in an RP where we couldn't quite pin point it but the players writing seemed off in the character sheet. It just didn't seem to flow correctly. We ended up looking through his post history and found an old roleplay post to read.

Sure enough, that didn't flow well either and we understood that the person didn't know how to use their grammar correctly as they used too many full stops and the sentences were disjointed.

So I'm a bit on the fence about asking for samples. I feel that it can sometimes appear a bit too inquisitive and judgmental, but at the same time it helps filter out the good from the bad.

I'm afraid I didn't budget enough time for myself to finish my post in time before my usual Sunday disappearance - and for that, I apologize, since I realize that's going to hold things up.

I should have it ready to post for Monday as soon as I'm able, though, just to give you an ETA.

I should ask, though; is it all right if I don't follow the dialogue color-coding that everyone else has been doing so far, or should I do that to maintain the consistency of the RP? I'm willing to do either-or, but I'd like to ask before I finish making my post.

See you Monday!

That's OK, no need to rush a post out because everyone else got one up within two days of starting. I don't want people to feel forced that they have to post by a certain time.

Dialogue colour coding is a personal choice. I use it for flair and style, but it's not needed. I do wanna see some name bannering at the top, which I notice everyone is doing, and that's mostly to give your post context on who you are playing. In the future if multiple characters come in it helps distinguish between character A or character B, or even locations, times, etc. Other details that can help give context. :)

I'd like to try to turn mobile-device support back on in the near future to see if anything has improved.

Oh God... he's bringing back the nightmares of broken formatting.

If you do this, you should totally add a stat to users' profiles, too: the average time they spend "joined" to an RP (a ratio of total "joined" time to the number of threads they've officially joined). Similar to the "posts/day" stat you added to profiles not very long ago. This would be great for letting us know who in the Guild is abandoning RPs, and allow us to make acceptance choices based on that. I'm sure you know this community has some "commitment issues" when it comes to RP loyalty, so maybe this will help to alleviate that, or at least let the GMs receive some warning in advance about fickle players.

You have to be careful with stats like that cause they can negatively effect the forum. We don't want to create a vibe of elitism and ostracize people based on how we view their level of commitment. There are many reasons as to why people leave roleplays and why they have to abandon them. Yes it is frustrating, but you can't remove a problem like "commitment issues" by painting members under a bad light.
