Locked Topic Won't Go Away

My bad.

I hid the post of the GM, now banned, and the members involved because the GM was running a scam where they were asking for money for a minecraft server and stating half the donations would go to the Guild... which was a lie.

I locked and hid the posts so the other mods could see what's up and we could could follow the members involved in case it involved a few people. As it turns out the other member was indirectly involved but appeared to just be a friend of the scammer. The scammer however has made several duplicate accounts and has now attracted the attention of GuildBot, leaving it to do most of our work in nuking the account.

So yeah, residue of a spam thread that wasn't yet cleaned up. xD

@Conscripts hmmm. That may be a question for @Mahz.

Have you tried removing all the temporary internet files, clearing the history and just giving the browser a good old cleanup? You may be running off cashe information and it may be bugged, so removing and redownloading from the site source may resolve that issue.

But anyway, that's the last I'll say in here, lest I incur the wrath of being off topic! If you or anyone else has an opinion on the issue, I welcome you to yell at me via PM.

If there is anymore which needs to be said on the topic of Plagiarism, or perhaps even a topic of Bettering Oneself as a GM, it might be advisable to take up a discussion within a new thread. This aside, it may be best to move on and allow for new vents of frustration to be raised within the current thread.

As a final word, I will add an amendment to the "don't be an a-hole" rule in regards to "don't plagiarise". Do want to stress that this will be more in regards to writing than anything else. It wasn't added initially because plagiarism is more of a legal issue and it shouldn't need to be said... however one can not always assume that everyone is an honest person.

There was an RP recently with a game in order to be allowed to join the roleplay. It involved some text hidden in the OOC which actually contained the character sheet. If I remember rightly it was colour hex was the same as the background. What the GM wanted was a mini challenge for the players, sort of something to both get them thinking and see what sort of problem solving skills they had.

Why?

Cause it was a murder mystery RP and the GM wanted players who were curious thinkers rather than action writers.

Was it a good move... Who knows, but old DOS games had hidden puzzles to unlock the game and he was perhaps inspired by some of these designs. Personally, I wouldn't issue a challenge like that these days, but on one of my RPs did many many years ago to see whether people actually read the rules.

Hey guys. I apologise for bumping in here but I've had to remove about 4 posts that had nothing to do with the roleplay but instead they were more argumentative and could be seen as an act of trolling the various decisions made by the GM.

If you are not interested in joining and you have decided to post just to create a stir, please leave the roleplay and go find one that you do find interesting.
