BobbyJones314What I was thinking was the story of how they first came together. Although stories on each character's history could be a consideration in the long run.
I knew what you were getting at, and while I'd really love to do this, it leaves no room for other characters, unless the other players joining were somehow connected to the witch and genie (familiars perhaps?). If anything, it would need to be tweaked to be very possible. Don't get me wrong though, I do like it.
Hmmm. Well the genie and the witch (and whoever else gets involved) maybe started out at a local school, college or highschool, and realized all this supernatural stuff was taking place mostly around the mysterious hotel and eventually go to take a look or something. I dunno how else you could switch it up without taking it completely off of the original scheme (such as starting them out in a different, magical dimension where alot of supernaturals come from or something). Maybe set it in the early 1900's sometime, or sooner? I figured that maybe the witch and genie looked young, but had lived for a good long while? (still retaining their youthful demeanor)
I love he idea of setting it in the far past. I was thinking the same thing about the character age, that they'd been around longer than it seems. In any case, doing something like this would merit having more than just a genie, a witch and a wardrobe young man inheriting a mansion.
I'm tell you guys what. These are all good ideas so when I get home today I'll set up a chat room where we can brainstorm in real time and figure something out. Sound good?
