So... the interest check didn't do anything for us. Still just the five of us @Sigil, @Double, @Weird Tales, @rocketrobie2. Since 75% of you are also among the cast in Futures End, what's the call on this one? Double, if you could go Advanced I'd tell you to submit a CS for Futures End. So far it's been going well and Sigil's character will be coming in shortly.

quick question, if Light shot Raven with a low-power laser, would the pain wake her up? I figure with her being a being of darkness it would hurt more than normal.

The ability to make cartoons and warp reality? Honestly, to me it would be similar to a Green Lantern's construct creation, but having them tank big guns just to make the scenario seem animated or funny for a 4th wall breaking purpose would make them too close to Mr. Mxyzptlk. Is there any other archetype you'd wanna bring to the table?

Anybody else? Maybe somebody wants to put a spin on Raven? Or make a female Kid Flash? Perhaps Wildcat's illegitimate were-panther son? What about another legacy teen from the JSA like Cyclone or Black Lightning's daughter Lightning? Tons of possibilities...

^^^ Much to his disappointment, he didn't become the leader and Tim came back to lead them as Red Robin before the series was cancelled within a few months, I think by issue #100 or so right around the time of the New52 reboot. The only Titan who didn't completely write him off was Ravager and even still she didn't see him as being a leader. The banter between Bat-Grayson and Damian was the only reason I ever bothered with a comic he was in, and the two together were an enjoyable read. Beyond that, I just don't care for him. I don't think Damian has the presence to ever be his own character, he'll only ever be the Son of Batman. I was happy for his fans when he finally got his own solo series, and I liked the idea of bringing Nobody back into it... but then they gave Nobody a daughter who's still hanging out with Damian and it just felt too forced. We JUST found out Ducard had this son... Nobody... now we find out this guy ALSO has a daughter who's been trained at birth to be a more brutal vigilante.

You're forgetting Grayson was also the original hothead Robin and the only one to actually storm out of the Bat-Cave when Bruce refused to see him as an equal and not a sidekick. As Robin he was also responsible for a lot of early teen hero deaths and collateral damage earlier in the team's history and it weighed on him for awhile before he and Wally West both quit the team. He was still in Batman's shadow, but as Robin he couldn't be his own man. Hence becoming Nightwing shortly after.

Adopted sons just aren't as interesting as having a real son for Batman in my opinion and it's quite clear that Damian is still growing and maturing. Seriously why does every young hero have to be nice?

None of the robins have as good of an origin as Damian, the son of Batman and grandson to Ra's al ghul, that's badass.

Most Damian haters are just butthurt because Dick is never going to be Batman and Tim's been sidelined.

Again blood ties change my view of him and when he's done right Damian is the best. Dick is like the guy who has the excellent resume and the most history, but that doesn't make him better.

Grayson's messed up plenty of times, one that comes to mind in the pre New52 universe was when he killed the Joker. It happened about halfway into his series before Jason Todd was reborn or anything crazy was happening. He also went deep undercover as Renegade and worked with Deathstroke and others as a legit criminal/fist for hire. He was the perfect Robin because he was the original Robin. Grayson wrote the book on being a teen hero and a teen sidekick. That's like saying you don't like Bruce as Batman because he's the perfect Batman. Nobody's butthurt, Grayson has already been Batman for extended periods twice, with one of them being considered cannon in the New52. Tim's still around, he's just a horrible 90's throwback of a character now as Red Robin in Teen Titans. And the new Batman Beyond.

What's your take on Batman #666 where Damian was an older Batman? And the idea he was actually the 'Bruce' who trained Batman Beyond under false pretenses?
