Gilgamesh Sinn

Archetype: Evil Genius

Name: Gilgamesh "Gil" Sinn

Alias: usually none

Age: 29

Powers: Gil has no superhuman powers or abilities, instead a prodigious intellect applicable to numerous fields, razor sharp wits and the immense resources and technology of the Sinn Corporation are his source of power. That said he's surprisingly physically fit and well-versed in martial arts on a technical level compared to the average businessman, but more for purposes of basic self-defense from a few kidnapping attempts over the years than as a serious warrior. In addition As someone who grew up around munitions makers and began his business and academic lives with weaponry he's incredibly knowledgable regarding a wide variety of modern and cutting edge weapons and he tries to remain fairly proficient in their use, though he generally disdains direct violence. Of note however is the fact that nearly his entire wardrobe of custom tailored suits is manufactured from cutting edge nanoweave fabrics resistant to burns, shocks and small arms fire.

Weaknesses: Gil remains a mortal man as physically vulnerable as any other. Also at least from his perspective he considers his affection for his elderly parents to be somewhat of a weakness his enemies might exploit.

Personality: Brilliant, Cunning, Ambitious, Driven, Pragmatic

Appearance: Gilgamesh Sinn is generally considered a fairly handsome man of about average height who wears his dark brown hair short with his face clean shaven. Being a practical businessman he generally foregoes glitzy costumes, battle armor or theatrical outfits
and instead usually hides his surprisingly muscular frame under custom tailored suits that somehow manage to whisper 'I cost more money than you'll ever see' instead of screaming 'LOOK AT ME I'M GAUDY AND FLASHY!'. Notable is the fact that he has hetero-chromatic eyes, with one being brown while the other is bright green. He's generally clean shaven and has a crooked sort of smile that usually conveys 'Sure, we both know I'm dishonest, but that's part of the fun isn't it?" when he isn't putting on his most charming facade for the public eye. Overall he believes that a well-groomed and charming appearance and unflappable demeanor are as dangerous as any other weapons on the battleground of public opinion.

BRIEF Bio: Gilgamesh Sinn grew up in a family traditionally in the line of coal mining and munitions factory work, earnest folks who still sometimes barely scraped by from day to day. Inspired to try and build a better future for himself and his family he studied and memorize everything he could possibly learn at first just regarding munitions and weaponry as inspired by his parents but later on about every subject he could get his hands on. He proved to be something of a prodigy throughout his academic career and eventually decided that money was even more powerful than the best weapon he could design and turned his mind to the business world as well.

Now he owns the factory his parents once slaved away in as just a subsidiary of the weapons manufacturing and design branch of the Sinn Corporation, headquartering itself in his hometown of New Athens. The fact that he was able to effortlessly ensure that both of them retired in comfort and luxury and raise pay and safety standards for their former workplace while still managing to increase profits was just a bonus. Already some of the Sin Corporation's inventions whether warlike or meant for everyday utilities are being compared to some of the wonders of the Museum of Tomorrow and Gilgamesh has promised to bring about A Better Tomorrow not just for New Athens but the world.

At least, that's the story he presents to the public and as far as Gil Sinn is concerned it's completely true. The part he generally leaves out of the papers includes building up his wealth as an arms manufacturer by selling discretely to many, many groups of less-than-friendly people, taking over a good portion of New Athens more mundane organized crime indirectly via supplying tactics and weapons to certain gangs of his choosing, engaging in industrial espionage and sabotage against his rivals in the business world, creating some less than ethical technology and experiments and more, all for the sake of his better tomorrow.

Storylines: I basically want him to be scheming and interacting with the other villains and heroes, creating plots of his own to further his control over the city and the world in order to increase his own power and wealth while trying to achieve his vision for New Athens and the world. He might approach a group of heroes to stop a rogue combat robot the Sinn Corporation is developing or come to them asking for protection for himself or his parents, or even offer funding and tech for the heroes to form a super group if it means gaining influence over them. Likewise he might try and make alliances with villians or thwart their schemes in order to maintain his powerbase. Overall I want to provide a villain with vast resources and plans that's also flexible enough to get involved with and interact with a number of story-lines and characters

Pretty sure I posted the mention of Black Goliath and Atlas being the same Skrull impostor in one of my first posts in the RP a long time before Ant-Man was introduced. And it's been mentioned a few times since then and nobody's said anything so... kinda too late now.

Since the Skrulls and the Super Skrull will finally play a role in the Fantastic 4's story and 3D Man has been taking down a few sleeper agents you might wanna add a line somewhere in there like...

Season 1:

• August, 2012 - The 3D Man was born after a failed abduction by the Skrulls took place. Since then 3D Man took down several Skrulls posing as low tier heroes and villains including Thunderball, Black Goliath, Atlas, Dragon Man, as well as Griffin with an assist from the winged hero Archangel. Presumably they're trying to gain intel on Earth's technology and heroes.

And @Sep you're dropping the Hulk?!? Whaaaaaaaat?

I always got bored playing robots eventually. Mostly due to there only being two ways to write them, cold and logical or more human with more emotion. I was so pissed when the Vision finally got his own title again only for the focus to be on him trying to mimic a normal human family with a few more robots like himself.

@Lmpkio PM me the ideas you had for the alien mob on Earth, sounds like the perfect kinda thing for a sandbox of villains.

@Archmage MC If you can make a new character I would love to RP with you, I personally like the idea of the tree plant person healer. I actually made that archetype for another poster who never got around to making the plant manipulator.

Yep you sure fixed it. I'M a lazy bastard because I can write a post without somebody telling me what to do note for note. I'm so damn uncreative if somebody doesn't tell me who to fight, what to wear, where to eat, etc. I have no idea what to do with a character I created. I finally have a place to use this...



If you insist on being an asshole, do it elsewhere. Just because you don't know how a sandbox RP works doesn't mean the rest of us are idiots. This isn't the only sandbox RP on the site and I'm sure it won't be the last. When you graduate middle school and grow up a little you might learn how to comprehend rules a little better.

@The One I'm not a fan of Deadpool or his wall breaking shenanigans. I dig the Egyptian guy though.

@The One Looks okay so far, especially for a villain. However you need to be more detailed in the power description.

@Lmpkio Looks a lot better and I dig the name. Only thing I saw was in one paragraph his father created the suit and passed it down. In another it states the kid made the suit himself. I'd probably have his dad be the sole creator of the Sentinel suit and go from there.

Needs to be more original, don't call him Ultraman, etc. From what I know of that manga it's too much of the same thing with him inheriting his father's Ultra gene and everything. I can't accept it as is anymore than I could accept an alien called Superman who's a living solar battery with a dozen powers. Change some stuff up, I'd LOVE an Ultraman type of character, just not Ultraman.
